A+ Castle Plumbing

My experience with this company was superb and this encompassed the initial call to set up an appointment, the initial estimate, the responses to my call to answer questions regarding the bid and finally the day of service. I had 4 total quotes and they provided me the most efficient and aesthetic strategy to meet my need. The master electrician that came out to perform the estimate was definitely knowledgeable and experienced. The crew was polite, professional, detailed and hard working. Though it was one of the tougher jobs they had done with installing the gas lines due to the peculiar architecture of our home, they were persistent and creative until they found a way to accomplish the task. They only cut minimal holes in order to feed the lines from the attic to the first floor, they taped all exposed holes afterwards (while I awaited my sheet rock guy to fix them) and they even cleaned up all their mess afterwards). They checked the gas for leaks and my new gas cook top is working perfectly at this time. I would definitely use them again if the need arose.

Our home is a gas home, but the cheap builders only put gas outlets in for the furnace and hot water heater, but didn't install them for the dryer or range/oven. The gas meter was exactly opposite of the wall where our range is in the kitchen, so this was really annoying that they didn't install it during construction. Our oven went out and I didn't want to repair a cheap builder grade electric range so I decided to get a couple estimates to have it plumbed. We first called John Moore Plumbing to get a quote for both adding just that hookup, and to find out how much it would cost to also run the line about 20-25 feet to the back yard for a gas grill hookup since I plan on building an outdoor kitchen in the future. John Moore quoted us $1350 for just the range hookup, which would have been about 2 feet of pipe, a T, and elbow, and a valve. They said it would be $5000 to run the short run to the back yard. I then was put off because these seemed to be very inflated estimates....so I joined Angie's List and started looking around and liked what I read about A+ Castle and contacted them for a quote. Their scheduler was very polite and scheduled me and he called before they were coming out to tell me they were about 30 minutes out and also told me the name of the Master Plumber that was coming. I was then quoted $750 for the range hookup, and if I recall correctly, $1700 for the gas grill run to the back yard. I knew there was a 10% off coupon here and then scheduled them to do the work. They came out the next day to perform the work, they were within their scheduled time window, they were courteous, did a good job, they touched up the paint on the exterior piping around the gas meter, they taped off around the hardy planks to keep overspray off the house. I was very satisfied with their work. The only suggestion I would have is that I think they should have put an elbow inside so that the gas hookup was pointing parallel to the wall instead of straight out towards the range. As it is, the gas line keeps us from being able to push the range back all the way but I'll just turn off the gas at the meter and add one when I get time. I think this was a pretty pricey service, but it was well under what another company quoted, and now that I look up John Moore, I see their reviews here aren't so great anyhow. I give A+ Castle my thumbs up approval.

Called to set up an appointment and they were able to come the next day. They called ahead, arrived on time and Jerry and Shawn clearly identified themselves. Repair to downstairs shower required access to be cut through the wall in the small toilet room in the bathroom. They were very careful to neatly cut a small access square. They covered everything else in that area with plastic so they could easily clean up their mess, and when they were finished they placed the square back into the wall and taped around it until we can repair or cover it. This was a much better experience than in the past with another company that left a huge ragged hole in an upstairs wall. They had to leave for some parts but returned quickly to complete the job. Both of my showers are now working well. The downstairs required more repair because the pipe and shower head were broken. In the upstairs bathroom they repaired the overflow drain, replacing a faulty connection that was found in the access wall. They also replaced the water spout and the shower head. I was very pleased with the work. Everything was explained to me step by step, and the price actually was a little lower than orignially quoted. We will definitely call Jerry at A+ Castle Plumbing again in the future!

Although there was a week delay in the response once I paid for the "deal" on Angies list, they were very courteous and professional. I also had them install some new bathroom fixtures and although it was a bit pricey they did a very professional job. I have used them before and would use them again.

Perfect. No more problems, even told me what to do to keep the problem from occurring again.

The communication was very good. They kept me apprised of their location and estimated arrival time. They wiped their shoes and were careful not to make a mess. They performed the installation within a reasonable period of time. There was a small glitch with a nut not being tight enough but they came back out and fixed it the same day I reported the problem. Their price was in the same range as other quotes I had received for the same work but I selected them over the competitors because they seemed nicer and more interested in ensuring customer satisfaction. I'm happy with their work.

Well, according to the reviews, I should have gotten a much better price . I am sure since I live in a upper middle class neighborhood, they charged me accordingly. I feel like I was ripped off and will not use or recommend them again.

It was a weekend and one of our toilets started a minor leak at the point where the water supply pipe connects via the underneath of the tank, to the flush valve inside. Concerned that it would become major, I called A+ Castle Plumbing on the Monday and they gave me an appointment time between 9:00 am to 11:00 am for Wednesday. At 8:15 am on Wednesday I received a phone call to say Kaleb was on his way. Fifteen minutes later he arrived with a companion, checked the leak, and decided that the interior valve and flapper needed to be replaced. Fifteen minutes later they had finished the work. There was now no leak and we had a working toilet. A+Castle Plumbing has guaranteed their work for ninety days from installation. I was impressed by their politeness, promptness and the way Kaleb and companion cleaned up after their repair. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who has plumbing problems.

Excellent service. Kaleb Cryer and his colleague arrived in the agreed time window and called up 30 minutes before arrival to say they are on the way. On arrival Kaleb did an inspection of the works I wanted carrying out - immediately told me what A+ can and cannot do and recommended where to go for the services they could not provide. For the work that was "in scope" for A+ - inspecting & repairing what I though was blocked gas line - it turned out the line was not blocked at all. Kaleb discovered this quickly and with no fuss explained the issue was with the firepit connector - a different scope of work entirely. I was really pleased ed by his honest, no nonsense approach and advice and if and when I do have plumbing or genuine gas issues in the future, A+ will be the first company I call to assist. Great work, folks!

My husband was very impressed with their honesty, their professionalism and the quality of their work. They removed the old toilet and installed the new one, cleaning up after themselves and removing the old toilet. We would definitely use them again.

We needed a plumber on short notice to follow up with a home inspection on a house we are looking to purchase. The home inspection revealed a leak in the master shower and we wanted to know what kind of repairs were going to be needed. They were able to give me a 2-hr window and meet me at the house. They found that the shower is leaking in the pan, which is a rather costly repair. The homeowner was trying to tell us it was just a leaky valve on the handle. The gentlemen were very nice and quick with the diagnosis. They provided a written evaluation for us to present to the sellers. Very professional and courteous. Thank you!!

I couldn't be happier with the job Castle Plumbing did. The appointment was for 11-2. Caleb called at 10:40 to say they were on their way and would be there within the hour. They arrived and got to work right away. Would definitely recommend for any plumbing needs.

Kaleb came at promised time and repaired toilet that would flush twice then water would come to the top. I explained to him that I had contractor remove the toilet and put new seal about a year ago but contractor could not find any reason why toilet was continuing to plug. Kaleb explained each step he would take to find the problem and the charge each would cost. The easy way of snaking the toilet did not work and he informed me that the toilet would have to be removed. He was able to find the problem, a small plastic bottle was stuck in the curve of the toilet itself. Kaleb was professional and knowledgeable about his trade. I would definitely hire him again and was very pleased with this company!

Those guys were really, really good. I was 6-8 miles outside of his service area that he works in. I had an odor in one of my downstairs bathrooms. I couldn't figure it out and I kept cleaning it out. I called him up and he says," you know what, that sounds like your seal to your commode." I had them do all three bathrooms, it was like $40 a bathroom to have it done. They were out of there in less than probably an hour and a half. I haven't had a problem ever since.

They're very punctual, they came on time and they did the job. They did parts on hand, they had to go buy but I think that's quite normal.

I had a garbage disposal replaced and a leak fixed. My house is 30 years old, so they had to work around some old piping and fixture issues. They explained everything up front and charged a fair price.

Jerry and Shawn were sent out for both the inspection and follow-up work. I was extremely pleased with the work they did - they were punctual, knowledgeable, careful with their work, and very courteous. The work identified to be done was consistent with my expectations, and I thought the job was fairly priced. I would not hesitate to use them again!

We are about to lease out our home and move away. We want to ensure we have a safe and perfectly running home before we leave. A+ came and did a very thorough inspection. They also flushed the water heaters (included in price). We have owned the home for 10 years and have never done this with these original water heaters. They explained everything and let us know that we will likely need a new water heater in a year or two. We will definitely use them when we do! It was nice to have a company come do an inspection and NOT find thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs.

We had been having problems with drippy leaks from old valves. We called A+Castle on Monday to make an appointment for an estimate. The appointment was set for between 2-5 on Thursday, May 24. Jerry called at 1:30 saying that his men would be out in an hour and identifying the tech as Kaleb. They arrived exactly on time at 2:30 and were clean cut and well mannered. After showing them the various locations of repairs, they gave us an estimate on the spot. We had previously thought we would get another estimate from another Angie's List company, but their price was reasonable and we felt so comfortable with them we decided to get the work done right then. We will recommend this company to all our friends and family members. What a relief this is done...no more towels on the floor and under the sink. These young men were very professional.

Gerald & Jerry were very helpful on the phone. The install/repairs went well, very professional, prompt and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend A+ for plumbing services.

I called them for an estimate on an addition for our home. They came out to go over the scope of work but I can't get them to respond with an estimate. I have called 3 times over the last 3weeks asking for their estimate & they apologize that no one has contacted me with the estimate & promise they will get back to me later that day. I only called back so many times because I thought they may have the wrong email address etc since they had good reviews. Well for some reason they won't give me an estimate so I won't be using them. I feel they are very unprofessional for telling me they will call me back right away & then don't.

They are excellent. Very happy and will use them again.
