A+ Castle Plumbing

It went very well. I did a lot of research looking for the right plumber. I chose A+ Castle Plumbing because of their good reviews indicating good work, professionalism and their pricing. I received estimates from other companies (Nick's Plumbing, Wedgeworth Plumbing) to investigate the problem. These estimates were just identify the problem and then they were to give me a second price to fix it. Their investigation charges were approximately double or more than what A+ Castle charged me to identify AND fix the problem. I have standing water under the house and the other companies wanted to pump the water out in order to try to find the leak. Kaleb, a Master Plumber from A+ Castle Plumbing, arrived at my house and said he was going to do his own assessment to identify the leak. He found it. He's a sharp guy. Frankly, this service from A+ Castle reminds me of those old time good plumbers who know how to do their work and get right to it. Kaleb and his assistant completed the work in about an hour and 15 minutes; they were efficient and professional. I felt they looked out for my interests. They charged me $270. I forgot to mention my Angie's List discount so I called the office and Gerald is going to send me a check for the difference. I plan on using this company in the future and I will highly recommend them to my friends. I almost chose a company that would have done a lot of expensive unnecessary digging around in order to solve the problem. I'm sure glad I did the research and found a good company. They receive my highest rating!

It wasn't all of what I expected, but it was good. I really didn't need any of it. They said they did a flush on the water heater, but they were doing a flush on the water heater that wasn't needed. What I was really looking for, was for them to check for a leak I thought I was hearing in the wall. They weren't really able to check that. I felt like it was minimal, compared to what the advertisement was for. The price was a little high, but it was okay for what they did. I would probably used them again if they were to bring their price down a little.

It went very well. We would definitely use them again. I had a positive experience.

I purchased a Big Deal with them, and sent them a message through Angie's List. He never responded to me in any way. I am completely disappointed in them, and have no interest in working with them at this point.

I attempted to set an appointment via Angie's list to replace to existing water heaters with a tank-less system. After over a week of messages sent, no response from the organization. Darrell

They did a good job. I like that they charge an hourly rate and not a fixed rate like other plumbing companies, which are not bad and give good service, but are a lot more expensive. They were good.

Besides quickly performing their services, the service men provided valuable advice for future maintenance of the water heater.

I sent message on 10/19 requesting for service and repair of a few plumbing issues via one of their specials. I gave description of what exactly I was needing repaired and installed. I got no response. on 10/24 I sent a second message referring to no response to my first request service. No response until 10/27. Only message I got was sorry for the delay in response and listing phone number to call them and they could could help. At this point I already had someone else finish the job. They had several good reviews and were my first choice to use them. But after 2 requests and no response until 8 days later I can only imagine they are too busy or not very interested in my job/repair. Either way unacceptable.

Had a 5 yr old tankless water heater that would not hold a constant water temperature. Two plumbing companies had worked on it unsuccessfully before we called A+ Castle Plumbing. Their plumber, Jerry, identified a serious corrosion problem, contacted the manufacturer and convinced them to replace the entire unit at no cost to us. I wish I could give them an A+.

Our house is getting on in years and things are dripping. Since we have faucets with life-time warranties, the manufacturer replaces the parts, but we needed an experienced person to install them. The men arrived on time and were polite and neat. We used our Angie's List coupon to save a few bucks, but they are worth every penny. We will use ONLY A+ Castle Plumbing in the future.

It went pretty well. They came when they were supposed to and did what they were supposed to.

Description Of Work A-1Castle Plumbing was quick to respond and even came a little earlier than scheduled. They ran a snake down the drain vent to unstop the tub. A year ago we called another plumbing company for the same thing but they ran a snake just down the drain which did not solve the problem. They were very knowledgable, professional and friendly. We will definitely call them again.

I called this morning about 10am. They actually had an opening and came about 11:30. He was very professional and answered my questions. They changed out the ring, reset the toilet including leveling it due to uneven tile and caulked around the bottom. He took the time to discuss possible other things I may need done in the other bath.

They were prompt, professional, and thorough. We especially appreciate the fact that they discovered the cardboard ring used by a previous contractor to seal the garbage disposal pipe -- because that pipe should not have sprung a leak, even with a clogged sink. They explained and showed us how they were sealing it with the proper type of plumber's putty. This is the second time we've used this company. (Last time, it was a bathroom sink that was making a loud vibrating noise when we ran the water). Both times, the fix was relatively simple and fairly priced. We will call them again for any future plumbing problems.

The price listed was before discounts in case there are no promotions later. A quick Google search popped up several Moen faucet cartridges for $20-25 range, so I think the price is a little high considering they were done in less than about 20 minutes if even that long. Granted, you are paying for a plumber and his helper's time. In the end, they did good work before and I'd rather have it done correctly. Another good experience with A+ Castle. It started off rocky with a scheduling snafu (I won?t go into details) but Gerald?s willingness to try to find a solution to make good was perceived by me as good customer service. Due to their other scheduled appointments and my own schedule, they came out a week later and got my faucet fixed quickly and professionally. They did a great job on a previous visit, so I knew their plumbers were good (at least the ones that came out the first time) so I really wanted to use this company, despite some minor annoyance with the scheduling. In the end, they worked with me to provide great service and in the end, it?s fixed correctly and they offer an Angie?s list discount so that also helped. They seem to care about making their customer happy, unlike some of the big corporate plumbing services I?ve tried to deal with.

Summary: Outstanding , Excellent plumber - have already done repeat business I have been searching for a good plumber, no make that a great plumber. You never can tell how good a contractor is . I had bought some items from Home Depot before and their plumbing contractor was adequate at best. I have been wanting to install replacement toilets for the tow upstairs bathroom for some time now, but even with Angie's list there are so many choices. So last weekend, Saturday, October 11, I discover water on the carpet where the master bath and vanity area interface with the master bedroom carpet. We discovered that water wasn't coming from the tile but through the adjoining wall to the master bedroom. We thought the problem was when either the garden tub water was on or the shower. We placed a call to A+ Castle Plumbing and left a message with their answering service. Early Monday morning, October 13, 2014 A+ Castle Plumbing called and came out. I, at first thought it was a leak in the master shower. A+ Castle Plumbing ran extensive tests and determined there was no leak in the master shower. They then look at the Garden Tub and discovered two issues: (1) the critical one that there was a continuous squirt gun like leak in the supply line and (2) the faucet hardware leaked when you turned it on. They fixed the supply line leak and left me with a couple of options. The existing faucet hardware was seized and they weren't sure they would be able to insert replacement valve/washer cartridges. However, they told me that they would try if we wanted or we could get new faucet hardware and have it installed. The cost to fix diagnose and fix the leak was $250, which was an excellent price. The whole first part was so excellent that we decided to get new Garden Tub Faucet hardware and have A+ Castle Plumbing install it. We also decided to get two new replacement toilets and have A+ Castle install them also. So they came by on Monday, October 20, 2014 and installed the Garden Tub faucet hardware and replace two toilets. The did an excellent job. They called before they came and told me when they would arrive and they arrived when they said they would. They were very professional. They kept the work area clean and remove all work materials. I can think of no improvements I would ask for or could expect that would have made their work better. The job/s were completed about as perfect as you could complete them. I will definitely use A+ Castle plumbing for any future plumbing jobs.

Thursday evening water began dripping from our kitchen cabinets. I left messages and tried reaching another plumber. At 8:00 am I tried A+ Castle Plumbing. They said they would have someone at my house within 45 minutes, and did. Within another 45 minutes, the section of pipe that was leaking was found, replaced, and cost 25% of what I had expected. The best experience I have had with plumbing in the past 50 years. (Oh yeah, my first plumber got back to me after A+ had finished)

I've used them 3 or 4 times. They have done a lot of work for me. They have done a good job. They gave me a quote for the work. They also fixed a gas line that had been out of service for about a year without tearing up the floor. It was a major job and it was about $2,000. They also installed a new burner in my gas range. I have been satisfied with them and would use them again. They are very good.

They called ahead to let us know when they were coming. They were able to get us in pretty quickly and did a great job.

Excellent service! I had an appointment with the provider on Friday but they called me on Thur to say they could come out a day ahead to get the hot water working again. Technician was professional, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me advice and pointers and showed me the issue with the hot water heater. Its in a small laundry room, which is not recommended as the lint, dust, etc settles into the hot water heater and causes havoc. There was a lot of white ash product. The tech cleaned it out, restarted the heater and gave me an estimate to move the unit into the garage. I highly recommend this company.

My husband and I tried our hand at replacing our old kitchen sink and faucet ourselves. We were able to complete about 75% of the job, but got stuck on reattaching the drains to the main drain leading out of the house. In our old sink the drains were in the middle of the basins, and in the new one they were in the back. I called A+ Castle Plumbing on Wednesday morning, and they were able to make it out by Wednesday afternoon. Which was a blessing since we had been without a kitchen sink for a few days, and a different plumbing company had no showed the day before. Jerry and Shawn came to the rescue and were able to complete the job in less than an hour. They were also very patient and friendly as I asked a million questions after my new experience (first time) with plumbing. I recommend them highly to anyone looking for plumbing work! I know I will call on them again when the need arises.

The technicians, Jerry and Shawn, arrived on time. They replaced the kitchen faucet. Price was reasonable. So far, the faucet works fine.

We discovered on Wednesday that we had no hot water. I called A+ Castle and was scheduled for the next day. We received a courtesy call in advance and the plumber arrived right on time. After a brief diagnosis of a failed thermocouple in the gas water heater, he found that he did not have the correct part on hand, so left to get the part. About 45 minutes later, he returned with the part, and quickly installed it. After the installation was completed, the water heater fired up and appeared to be working. I had already written the check when it was discovered that the burner was off again. After some further diagnosis it was discovered that airflow to the burner was partially blocked, causing a high temperature limit switch to shut off the burner. This required cleaning out dust and debris from the burner area, especially the flame arrester, which was blocking the airflow. Taking advantage of my air compressor, he cleaned up the area, which had not been cleaned in years. After reassembling the burner assembly, the water heater is now working properly. Moral of the story: Gas water heaters made in about the last 10 years REQUIRE periodic cleaning of the flame arrester, or they will stop working. Check your water heater manufacturer recommendations.

Very professional. Very knowledgeable. I will be calling this company again when we need a plumber.

Contacted Jerry and he sent one of his technicians out the very next day. Called me to give me estimate for work and completed everything on the spot. Very pleased with the work performed.
