A+ Castle Plumbing

I went to their website to call A+ Castle Plumbing for a large job I needed done. I called them based upon their Angie's List recommendation.However, I could never get anyone on their phone, just a recording. I left a detailed message, then went on their site to fill out their job request form and leave a detailed description of my plumbing project. I also left an email. I never received any call back or email response from the form submission. I left another message a few days later, but never got any response. I honestly can't judge their plumbing work or price, because i never got the opportunity to work with them.However, not returning an obviously eager potential customer's calls or email seems to exemplify very bad "Responsiveness" and "professionalism". Possibly their good rating from "Angie's List" has them overwhelmed. I have run into this several times with vendors who are excellent tradesmen but were not prepared for the increase in business requests.

While Leaving for work one morning I noticed a waterfall coming from our water meter on the street. I Contacted 2 plumbers for quotes and the Guy from A+ gave a flat rate for the repair while the other company said he couldn't quote accurately unless he saw the issues. Thats understandable, but i just needed to know a ballpark price. He kept saying it could be anywhere from 1-4 hours of work at $105/hr. Went with A+ and the repairman showed up 1 hour early and explained the issue thoroughly and we agreed on the price for ~2hours of work plus parts. Repair got done without a hitch and I was able to use an Angie's List 10% off coupon to save a bit. Plumber was great. Did a good repair of a broken "t" line just above the water main and got finished in a timely manner. No problems, and would use them again for sure.

I had an upstairs toilet flush valve break & they were able to work me in immediately. I asked the plumber to replace the others as well and, even though he had to go for parts, did not charge me for the extra time.

installation went great - no issues. did not leave a mess (same with the bath tub faucet they installed several months ago) - made sure to clean-up after themselves.

They arrived on time. They were very professional. They did the work as described. I only wanted a quote however my husband arrived and once he looked at the price he told them to do the work since they were there & could do it now. I had other things I had them to look at and they gave me an on the spot price. For example I had asked how much they would charge to hook up a dishwasher that the previous owners had disconnected. It was $89.00. I told them never mind I would have my husband do it. I thought it was a little too steep of a price for a simple hook up. He was going to change out the copper pipe to a flexible pipe and he explained that 89.00 is their typical rate to do anything no matter how simple. I am not complaining about their service at all. I wish they could be a bit more flexible on their price for simple projects. I wanted to give a C on price but I rated the price as a B since I did not have a chance to compare. The hot water removal & instillation was $1229.99 and the toilet repair was $309.98, they did give me a $50.00 discount for installing the hot water heater. I truly do not know if I paid the standard cost of any plumbing company for the same work. Hence the reason I wanted to compare prices. Since it was not their fault I did not do my homework I felt it only fair to give them a B for price.

Apparently, leftover rice is one of those food items that shouldn't be put down the garbage disposal! We'd ordered way too much Chinese food for our holiday meal with family. My husband and I had been eating the leftovers for 3 days. Finally, it had to go! So I started dumping the leftovers down the garbage disposal. I noticed the water pressure was low so I turned off the dishwasher... too late. I noticed it wasn't draining as well as it should. Then I realized it was stopped up. First, my husband tried fixing it himself. He tried a plunger. We went to the hardware store and got a 25-ft snake-cable thing. We tried 2 big bottles of drain cleaner, in 2 doses, letting it sit for a long time. Nothing worked. After 2 days of trying to fix it ourselves, we finally called the plumber. The company was quick to respond to our phone call and the plumber showed up within the time frame quoted. He looked at it, found out what happened, quoted a flat-rate price to unstop the kitchen sink: $169.99. But when referred by Angie's List you receive $10 off. And that was exactly what we paid. I have no idea if this fee is at, below or above average since I've never hired a plumber to unstop a sink before, but I estimate the fee was reasonable. He was in and out the door in less than 20 minutes and I was a happy camper! He was very professional, friendly and courteous. The drain was blocked 42 feet down the line!

I needed to do a full repipe for my house (attic and walls); our old galvanized steel pipes were badly corroded, and every month we were dealing with a new leak in the attic. We called several companies for quotes, and A+ Castle was by far the best quote. The guys came in and were very considerate of laying out plastic along our floors, and cleaned up every evening when they were done. This was a 3 day job, and for us it was relatively painless. They installed PEX pipes throughout the attic and walls. Where they had to cut into the walls, they were very careful to do as little cutting as possible. They only had to cut behind toilets and showers (closet space for us), and behind sinks. When they were done, they even kindly taped the wall pieces back in - which is good enough for us since they are spaces that aren't typically seen, so we're in no rush to get the drywall fixed (they told us up front that dry wall repairs were not included). This was a big, expensive job - our first major expenditure on this old house we bought - so we were very scared about getting ripped off. But we feel like we got excellent service, and we got exactly what we paid for. I highly recommend this company.

I called at 10 a.m. and was told a technician would be available the same day from 3 - 5 p.m. The tech called me at 2:30 and was at my house at 3 p.m. He was able to just adjust my bathroon faucet without replacing anything and no charge. Changed out my kitchen faucet with no problems. Was very happy with the results.

First rate. I think I found my plumber!

Prompt service. We had a leaky toilet. My husband thought he had fixed it. It was costing us a fortune with the water company. The gentleman took the time to go outside check the meter, and repair the problem. He looked at the other two toilets to make sure that they were not leaking. He then went back out side and showed me how to check the meter. He also showed me how to fix the toilet myself next time.

One of our neighbors had recommended them. They were also recommended in Angieslist. They were very busy that day. But they honored their commitment to come out and see me. Although I was last on their list, they came out at 8 o’clock in the night, in the dark to figure out what they problem was. So I guess they were tenacious in their commitments. They resolved the problem. They gave a really good recommendation for the future to avoid that kind of problem.

Great service and very professional

I called because we were having some problems with one of the upstairs toilets. They wound up not having to do much, but they were responsive, courteous and professional. I appreciated their diligence and I would use them again.

Great. I was able to schedule service the same day, A+ called prior to arriving and arrived on time. They performed the work quickly, cleanly and as promised. They only had chrome materials on hand, and we would have preferred polished bronze, but we needed the shower working asap and couldn't expect them to have a specialized finish in stock,

Because of the Tri-County fires, we had a house full of people (and animals). Badly installed plumbing had suddenly become a huge problem. The plumbing company I first called (from Angie's list) had also been affected by the fires and was not answering their telephone. So, finding that A+ Castle Plumbing had excellent reports in Angie's list, I called and made an appointment. Jerry was very courteous and, although very busy, said he could come out the next day. He arrived on time, went right to work getting the toilet installed and working. Then he got busy on the stopped-up bathroom sink. The entire job did not take long at all. We then asked Jerry why our kitchen sink did not drain at certain times. Jerry looked at the way the garbage disposal was plumbed and explained this was the problem. Because the kitchen sink in not on an outside wall, Jerry said the job to re-plumb would be a major problem involving tearing out the back wall of the island. He gave us an estimate to do the work but said the slow drain could be avoided by using one sink at a time. After Jerry presented his invoice , I remembered that I had a 10% off coupon from Angie's list. I gave it to him and Jerry cheerfully took the 10% off the bill. I will most certainly invite A+ Castle Plumbing out for future plumbing problems.

A+ Castle are a bit on the pricey side but they did a great job for us.

We were very pleased with their work. They were very professional, pleasant and competent. We called them after reading the reviews on Angie's list and we agree with all the positive comments written by others. We will call them again for any plumbing work we need.

This was an excellent experience!I contacted them to get on Friday morning to get a free estimate on replacing my bathtub. Micah and Jason arrived at my home, calling me before they arrived, a couple hours later. The provided a written estimate which was much lower than my other estimate (which wanted to charge for the estimate). Once the tub arrived at my home, I contacted them for the installation. They were very responsive and worked with me on a good date/time to do the work. They arrived on time, calling before they arrived, and spent a full day replacing my tub and re-routing my plumbing. They also gave me the Angies List discount. I absolutely recommend them. Since initial visit, also had them come back out for a small repair and did work for a relative. Consistently on-time, good price, done perfectly. I am a perfectionist that does almost everything on my home and they passed my test.

A+ did a great job. They suggested a easier and much cheaper solution to try first than what we thought would solve the problem. They were here to solve a problem, not just to collect a check from us. Great service.
