Description of Work: Repairman was extremely friendly and punctual. They replaced a thermostat on my dryer, cleaned the vent and replaced the vent hose as well as replaced water hoses on my washer.

Description of Work: Dishwasher latch broke preventing controls from engaging. Serviceman came out, determined part needed, came back two days later, determined another part was needed came back two more days later. First two trips, serviceman was over an hour past the time window I was given and he smelled strongly of gasoline - so much so that I had to leave the house until it was aired. Third trip he did not smell.

I had reviewed over this incident and found that the phone number provided wasn't a good number. Unfortunately we could not communicate with the customer in order to connect with her to arrive at her home. The technician did go to the residence, but no one had answered the door. We were in a bind until the customer called us back. That phone call didn't come until late in the day, which we proceeded to try to reschedule with more than one phone number to ensure communication. She declined and said she would call someone out. I wish this scenario would have not played out the way it did. Otherwise we make every effort to complete the calls to the satisfaction of the customer.

Description of Work: One burner in gas cooktop would not ignite. Used Angie's List blindly to find this firm. Joshua responded to call. Originally scheduled in 11 to 1 window, but called to say he was running ahead of schedule. Showed up 30 minutes later. Took about 2 minutes to diagnose problem. Explained what would be required to repair. Retired to his truck to prepare a verbal estimate. Returned with an estimate in 15 minutes, that while not inexpensive did not seem out of line for what we needed. He immediately volunteered to seek out part, and picked up a new handle to replace the melted one for the cooktop. Returned as promised. Made the repair neatly, very polite and professional. Accepted our request for the Angie's list discount without a hiccup. Don't love shelling out 200+ dollars, but was very happy with Josh and the service provided. I would recommend this company to others who wish to be treated as intelligent consumers willing to pay for a service well rendered and with respect. Kudos to Josh!

The owner was very professional and extremely timely in completing a refrigerator estimate and repair in my rental property. I was frustrated at how long it took him to get a copy of the receipt to me, however, he answered the phone every time and was apologetic about it taking so long. He forgot to give me the Angie's List discount he advertised here initially, but promptly refunded the amount to my card when I reminded him. Overall, I would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Estimate and repair on refrigerator at my rental property in Coppell. It stopped cooling and he had to get a part for it. I have an elderly tenant in the property and he was on site the very next day and had it repaired the day after.

Couldn't have gone any faster, seeing that it was a weekend when the problem occurred. We had three other couples coming over on Sunday to watch the NFC and AFC Championship games to determine who went on to the Super Bowl. Mr. George was very helpful in sending Brett on Saturday afternoon, but since the problem required a replacement part, we changed the menu to a crock pot Jambalaya. The broiler still worked, so the appetizers were excellent on Sunday anyway.
Description of Work: The igniter for our gas oven failed. Brett came on Saturday and diagnosed the problem. The part needed to be replaced, so he picked up a replacement igniter on Monday and installed it before lunch on Tuesday. Brett and Jeremy (his son) diagnosed the problem accurately and quickly, and Brett did the replacement installation Tuesday in a very short time frame (while I ate my lunch and watched). I appreciate Mr. George's quick response to our request for help and the professional manner in which the diagnosis and repair work were made. I would certainly use this company again.

I called and left a message and the service provider called me back, scheduled an appointment within a few hours, arrived and fixed two appliance problems at two different locations: at my home, they replaced a hose on my washing machine. At my parent's home, they replaced the timer on their dryer. It helped that I had the appliance brand and numbers, so they could pick up the right parts before they arrived. They took only minutes on both projects and the charges were reasonable.

George's was the second company that I called. The first company charged a higher service call fee that would not be reimbursed if I went with the repair. Further, the first company was not able to come to my house for a couple of days. I found George's through Angie's list and called them and the experience was perfect. Two very professional gentlemen showed up at my house within 2 hours of my original call. The service call fee was waived because I went with their recommended repair. They had the part on their truck and so my over was fixed on the spot. From now on, George's will be the first company I call when I need to fix an appliance.
Description of Work: My oven was not working and I needed to get it fixed before the upcoming holidays.

We called on a Saturday and Georges sent Josh that afternoon to look at our dishwasher. Josh was very courteous and nice and correctly diagnosed that the drain pump was out on our GE dishwasher. Josh said he would get the part on Monday and give us a call. The part was not in stock and Georges ordered the part. The only hiccup in the deal was the part did not arrive until Friday. On Tuesday, Josh returned and installed the drain. The dishwasher works GREAT and Josh was very NICE!

Professional, friendly, helpful technician.
Description of Work: We woke up to a warm refrigerator/freezer Friday morning. We called George's and Brett was able to come out the same afternoon. He spent a while diagnosing the issue (pulling out and opening up different parts of our appliance) and ultimately found that, due to a power outage/surge the previous afternoon, we had 3 blown circuit boards in our Frigidaire. He gave us a very honest estimate that it would cost us about $800 for parts and service. Because of this we elected to purchase a new fridge. Brett gave us specific recommendations for what to look for when we bought our new fridge, which was very helpful. We were more than happy to pay the $70 for his time and expert opinion. We would use George's again.

I called and received service within 24 hours. The part had to be ordered but the tech did a temporary fix that got me through the next 24 hours. The part was replaced and save me having to spend a thousand bucks on a new one.

They didn't tell me that they contract the work out to a subcontractor. They had to order a part and they said they would be back the next day with it. They didn't come back the next day; it was the following day and they didn't call so I had to call them. The part went out again and they had to come back and replace it and they did the same thing. They said they would be back the next day and they didn't come until the day after that. I didn't compare the pricing. I wouldn’t use them again.

There is an enormous apology owed to you. I wasn't aware of the severity of the problem you had endured and wished I could have been of better assistance knowing what was going on. Rest assured I have reprimanded this individual and he is aware that I do not tolerate this type of unprofessional ism. In fact a week later he decided to go outside the parameters of satisfaction and found himself not working with us anymore. Please understand that the individual technician is not a contractor but for the first 90 days in order to give him limited work until he has proven the qualities that my company require. At which point after the 90 days he is made permanent and has been found to be of every appropriate standard I strive for. I apologize this was your experience, and would like to know how we can make things right for you.

My complaint is with Georges Services @ 3024 Modella Ave. Dallas, Tx 75067 cell: 972-854-7406. On May 31st a service repair man was coming to estimate the problem with our oven. The actual oven did not work but the burners did still work correctly. He told us from 11am to 1 pm would be the show up time. He called and let us know that he was 20 min away. After 40 additional minutes of waiting, he finally showed up. He was not wearing anything that had the company name on it and was not professional in apparel, to put it nicely. After the repairman took apart the whole oven to tell me it was the motherboard/circut board that was broke, he asked me when the last time it was repaired. I told him he was the only to touch it and it was bought brand new. He told me a piece was broken and the screws were stripped, but an easy fix. When he left and I could look over what he might be talking about as far as the broken piece, he was talking about the front part/the facing of my oven, which was NOT broken before he started tugging on it to pull it apart. I called James approx. 30 min after he left, the owner and told him what had happened, and he said he was going to talk to Matt, the repairman and get back to me after he sees what happened. (I guess to get his side of the story). He never called me back. On Saturday morning, June 2nd I was making pancakes and my burner caught on fire underneath the glass. (it is a smooth top/glass top burner) he did not answer the phone, but I did leave a detailed msg. about the fire and reminded him that I hadn't heard from him. On June the 4th I called James again to try and settle all of this and get an answer, and he said he was on a service call and it would be about 2 hrs and he would call me back. I asked if he could walk outside for a minute and just let me know what was going on, and what he found out and he again repeated, rudely, that he would call me in 2 hours. He didn't call me back. On June 8th, (after he cashed my service call check) I got on his website georgesservices.com and left him an email explaining that it was a bad business move not to even call someone back ,and that per his website , he cares about comments left and 4.5 stars on Angie's list and that customer service was his priority, but that we did not feel that he cared enough to even give the respect of a phone call to say he couldn't do anything for us. When you are making your decision about service people, PLEASE be careful if you pick this one. They say "family business" and "we take pride in our work" and "want the customer to be happy" we feel none of those things were as important as the website says. Want to add 2 more things, then I'm done: the service call was supposed to be $10 off if no service was done, so I feel like he owes us a refund, technically , and last but FOR SURE not least: James NEVER ONCE apologized for any inconvenience. A simple apology.

I am disappointed in the fact that I among other business owners have to deal with individual complaints that are not the bit accurate in the events that took place. We had gone through an extensive amount of conversations prior, during and after our visit to this individual's home. Communication has always been a key importance along with integrity and a moral ethics. It is the only true way to grow a service company from a regular "joe" company to something that is more professional and efficient. We had made every effort to communicate all steps from the beginning to the end and had to follow through more than one person from this home, which unfortunately wasn't being addressed amongst themselves, so there was understandably confusion. A full refund of the service call was issued to help alleviate the situation. We take responsibility at all times for anything that we do and don't do, and unfortunately this person seems to be pursuing unethical routes to have a machine replaced after the homeowner decided to attempt to fix it prior to our visit and create damages that made it extensively more than what the machine was worth. The technician asked one of the two homeowners if someone else had worked on it and what did they do, and she was unaware. That is where the technician and addressed to her that it was previously attempted and damaged prior to our visit. Please note this was before the technician had even attempted to repair anything on it. It is unfortunate we have to even address comments like that, because we know if it were a legit problem, we would have addressed it accordingly and with all fairness.

Josh was on time and polite. He described in detail what was wrong and how it will be fixed. He fixed it on the spot and now my fridge is up and running. He kept the work area clean and did not make a mess. Price of service reasonable and service call fee waived since repair was made. I was very pleased with the the speed of the service call response and the repair.

Description of Work: James arrived promptly, diagnosed the Bosch dishwasher problem quickly (it wouldn't finish the cycle or drain), left to go get the needed part, and returned quickly to finish the repair. He showed working knowledge of this particular model and suggested how to avoid future maintenance. He left his helper to unclog the Whirlpool frig drain and replace the thermostat. He adjusted the gas stove, explaining why the burners were taking so long to light. He then suggested that he check the Sub Zero frig, just in case it was forming ice on the inside back wall! Wow! I was so impressed with his ability and service that I will call him again and recommend him to my family and neighborhood!

The service man arrived at my home as scheduled, he called first to let me know he was thirty minutes away. He was very professional, after I explained what was going on he tried a few things and in short order was able to determine that the transmission on my machine was shot. He advised me that it would make more sense to just buy a new machine as the repair would be very expensive. I used a $15 coupon I had found on their website. Overall, it was a good experience and I would definitely call them again or recommend them to others.
Description of Work: My washing machine was not spinning, I called this company to see if they could identify the problem and hopefully fix it.

James Georges called before on-time arrival and inspected my refrigerator. He told me that the door was bowed and therefore was not able to repair due to age of refrigerator. He could have fixed water and ice but told me he didn't want to charge me for something that I really needed to replace. He gave me names of brands that he recommends because they need very little repair. It was an overall good experience - other than fact that I need new fridge!
Description of Work: My 25 year old refrigerator door wouldn't close tight. Also ice maker and water on door didn't work. I asked him to repair applicance, if possible.
