I am absolutely thrilled. My trees look beautiful. They answered all my dumb questions without making me feel dumb for asking. I would hire them again without a worry. These were large trees, one was in the backyard and one was in the front yard. They put two people on the job, one for the front yard tree and one for the backyard tree. They cleaned up the branches so my yard looked the way it did before they came. They were personable and professional.

It was great. They gave me an assessment. They are very knowledgeable. He basically came out for small fee and they've made a complete assessment. He was really helpful.

We have used Scott for several years now at two different houses and are extremely happy with his service. We always feel like it's a fair price and he and his crew do such a great job. My neighbor learned the hard way, you shouldn't just hire the guys driving down the street, knocking on doors (he ended up calling Scott after they butchered some trees on his property.) Just as an example of great service -- at our old house, when he was in the neighborhood, Scott would drive by to just to check on one of our "sick" trees he had helped us keep alive (just checking it from the street) on several occasions -- that tree is still alive thanks to Scott. They know their stuff (will take the time to give you tips on the care -- they also have several useful articles on their website treesheperds.net ), will take excellent care of your trees and will just treat you right in general. There are very few companies overall that I would recommend as highly as the Tree Shepherds.

I was concerned about one particular tree being too close to my house and was worried about the possibility of the roots cracking my foundation. He looked at each one of my trees, evaluated the tree and addressed my concerns. We talked about the cost of pruning the trees and the best time of the year to do that. Would I use them again, yes.

It worked and the oak trees are fine.

The information was timely and professional, the staff was friendly and answered all questions , work done quickly and full clean up provided. The trees looked great afterwards and we have confidence that using a certified arborist company will ensure the future health of the trees.

We had several bids foe our trees. We were very concerned that what was done because you can ruin a tree if improperly pruned. Scott with Tree Shepherds came out and it was immediately obvious that he knew what he was talking about. His bid was in the same range as the competing bids. We chose him because of his expertise and concern for the overall health and structure of the trees. The day the work was performed his sons and another employee arrived to do the work. All three guys were extremely professional, safe, and conscientious about what they were doing. They didn't just climb up and hack away. They carefully chose each cut. At the end of the job, clean up was thorough, and our trees are beautifully shaped and healthy. With out hesitation we recommend these guys.

They did amazing work. They were quick and thorough which usually don't go hand in hand. I was pleased with the price that they quoted me and I feel that it was fair for the work they did. I would absolutely recommend them to someone else and we will definitely be using them again for future needs.

Our original concern was that the roots of a large, gorgeous oak tree, situated fairly close to our house, might be contributing to a foundation issue. Consultation was thorough and we were pleased that Scott advised that it is unlikely that our tree is close enough to cause problems. He spoke quite knowledgeably about the condition of our different species of trees, plus patiently let us babble on about pests our sprinkler schedule, and gave us advice on other issues completely unrelated to the trees. We felt assured that we were in good hands and scheduled maintenance trimming on the spot. We waited about 3 weeks due to their backlog of work but we had a confirmation call about a week in advance. The crew worked hard, all day, on some high exposures! They did a great job and cleaned up well though it was late and they were losing light. We were also pleased that they were patient with us wrangling our 3 dogs for their back yard access. All in all, we were very pleased with the experience.

Tree Shepherds is a great company. They arrived promptly and worked until the job was finished. We had several large trees pruned and cut away from the house. We had a dead tree and several bushes that were to close to the house removed. They were very knowledgeable and patiently answered our questions, no matter how many times we interrupted them. Even though the job was lasting longer than was anticipated, they did not leave until everything we wanted done was done ( we even added a couple more things after they arrived) and they cleaned up our drive and yard perfectly. Anyone who wants a great tree service should give them a call. I am already looking for more things they can come back and take care of.

It went very well. As mentioned above, we walked our property and examined all our trees, young, old, sick and healthy. Probably was there over an hour but only charged us for the one hour. Very nice man.

We had just moved into this house and were dismayed to realize one of the mature pecan trees seemed to have bite of damage to a limb. We wanted more than just a tree trimming service. We wanted to try to save the remaining healthy tree and were concerned that most companies would recommend we cut it all down. What we got with this business was exactly what I was hoping for. Our questions were answered and we were really happy to be educated about the mature trees we have on the property. I never even called any other businesses for bids. Scott came to our house on a rainy Saturday morning the week after we moved in and first addressed our chief concern - a large mature pecan that had a damaged limb. He then spent 30 minutes or so walking the property with us and educating us on what trees we have. We found out we live on land that was once part of a tree farm, which explains the variety of trees! He pointed out some concerns, what was going right, and offered guidance. He wrote up his recommendations and an estimate that had a sketch of our property with the trees marked, named and a list of what would be done. His crew came out a week later and took care of the agreed on services. The 2 men that came were polite and friendly. They offered to stack the pecan wood I wanted to keep and also poured the mulched pieces onto the driveway so I could use it on my flower beds. I plan on having them back to dig out a large amount of dirt the previous owner/builder of the house left piled around 3 other trees. We are very pleased and can't be happier. I have talked them up at work and to anyone who will listen!

This is the second time we have used Tree Shepherds - the first time was for some fairly moderate work on a tree shared with a neighbor. For this engagement, we had Scott come out and walk our property. We moved into the house 3.5 years ago and other than minor work, the trees have been growing and growing. Scott is a certified arborist and we wanted to trim the trees to ensure they would stay healthy and survive any potential ice/wind, but not be so draconian that we would lose the look of full trees. He gave us a detailed estimate that clearly showed the work he was proposing and he was very receptive to questions and our concerns. I'm not sure how many crews he has, but both times we had the same crew of 2 and they were on time, very polite and very professional. I believe this crew was his sons and they did a great job of knowing exactly what the proposal said and ensuring that they performed the work.
