Texas Best Fence & Patio

My rating is directly a reflection on the Texas Best Fence lack of communication, and customer service. The actual planning, building and electrical work of the pergola was excellent. I used Texas Best Fence to build a pergola in my backyard. The sales guy was very nice and we planned out the project exactly the way I wanted it. He also was able to bump me up so we could complete the project earlier. The builders then came and were able to finish the job in one day. Finally the electrician installed a ceiling fan and mentioned that the top of the fan would need to be capped in order to prevent leakage. He let me know that he would communicate this to the sales guy at Texas Best Fence. I then received the call from the sales guy who wanted to schedule the pickup of the check. I mentioned the ceiling fan and he said someone would be over today or tomorrow. A couple days later the sales guy came to pick up the check. Again, I brought up the fan and he insisted someone would be come today or tomorrow. I paid him fully knowing the job was not completed but had trusted that the job would be done. A couple more days past and I texted the sales guy asking about the fan. He wrote back that he has no idea if they came by but will check with his team. A couple more days past and I texted him again, this time without a response. At this point it has already rained and flooded the fan a couple times. It now constantly blows a fuse which is attached to outlets throughout the house and does not work; at this point it is a safety issue. I escalated to Texas Best Fence directly and they said they would follow up with the project manager. I then waited another business day and a weekend before I had to call again and ask what the status was. Finally I was contacted by the project manager who let me know someone would be over to cap the fan. I waited four business days and a weekend before I had to call the project manager again and left a message demanding a plan from him. I was then shortly contacted by the electrician who informed me what the plan was and scheduled a date to inspect the fan and cap it. My complaint here is that a company should see a project through to the end, and let the client know at all times what is going on. There should never be a need for the client to contact a company on multiple occasions to make sure they do their job. In the end the issue was resolved.

Disgusting display of how to do business. STAY AWAY. Only "tried to reach me by phone" after I posted this negative review...more excuses. WE DID, thereafter, communicate by email at which time he proved that he had NO IDEA what my job even entailed (no need for masons and concrete crews on my job BTW)...I guess the rain prevented him or any of his office staff or salespeople from using the telephone or email. I also found out after I had to re-bid the job due to Texas Best Fence failure to perform on the CONTRACT I SIGNED that they are price gauging. Quoted double what job will cost me. SILVER LINING...good riddance. Self serving response, review stands, if you want your job done on time at a good price GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.

Andrea was our rep. and did a great job staying in contact with us every step of the way! The crew started as scheduled and were quick and efficient. They also did a great job in cleaning up after the job was complete. I would not hesitate in recommending this company.

The project was done well, one time, and looks good.

Jeff was very informative and easy to get a hold of. They let me pick the gate I wanted but the install appointment was almost a month after scheduling but only because they are very busy. Trust me it is worth the wait. I have nothing but good things to say about the quality of the gate, opener and installation. You would be crazy not to use these guys to install your gate.

Wow! Excellent job by everyone we encountered! Jeff came to give us our estimate and even though he was a little late he kept us updated as to his arrival. It was a Saturday and he was was very knowledgeable and took time answering all the questions we had. He gave us the estimate before he left. After calling him to move forward our next contacts were with the office staff. They promptly scheduled a date and we received a couple of calls confirming as the date got closer. Installers arrived on time and over the course of 2 days did a great job. We got the board on board with boxed posts. The pre stained boards are the perfect color. They used our original posts and evened them up. The gates are so well constructed and we were surprised by the finishing touch of stars. That wasn't discussed. The prices may be a little high but as far as we are concerned the quality of service and product are matched. We now have the TEXAS BEST looking fence in the neighborhood!

I've pretty much received nothing but give me a run around. I certainly have received nothing in any form even remotely approaching professional service. They originally put up our fence and I contacted them to stain and replace an outside rotted board that should be under warranty and sent pictures of a gate board that I figured I would probably need to replace due to damage from our dog. I got an estimate on the stain, but nothing on the board replacement and a date of the following Thursday. I got another email about stain colors which I responded to. No one showed up or called that Thursday. When I inquired I was told they couldn't do anything because of the rain and they apologized for not calling. But they didn't set another date or anything else. I complained about the lack of response and was given an unprofessional response of there was nothing they could do in the rain and no estimate date of when I would be scheduled or even contacted about when I would be scheduled. Later I received an email that they had left messages about when to come out but had not received a response. I only have a cell phone and there were no calls from the company on it, period. I responded to the email with a Friday May 1 or Sat May 2. I heard nothing back from the company so I called. They confirmed they would come on Friday May 1. On Friday the worker called and asked to reschedule to May 2. I said that was fine and asked about the board replacement. The gentleman knew nothing about the board replacement and further discussion revealed he knew nothing of my stain choice either. He said he would contact Texas Best, since he was a subcontractor and get back with me. No one got back with me, On Saturday, no one showed up - no one called.

They were supposed to give me an estimate on staining and power washing my fence. Their office staff was great - we set an appointment very quickly and I received a confirmation email. Unfortunately at the appointed time, no one showed up or called with an explanation. I called the office to see if there was an explanation as to why they were a no-show. They were going to contact the individual scheduled to come to my house and have him call me. I'm still waiting for that call 4 days later. I understand there are circumstances where people miss appointments, but I feel like both parties should be in the loop - we changed our schedule around to make sure someone was home to walk them through what we wanted done. They could at least have the same respect for our time we have for theirs.

I found Texas Best Fence on Angie's List. Jeff came out to measure and write my bid - he was on time, pleasant, professional and explained everything to me in easy-to-understand terms. After reviewing numerous other bids and driving around looking at many fences, my husband and I agreed that Texas Best Fence was the way to go. I dealt almost exclusively with Jeff. He scheduled my fence replacement to begin and end during my narrow window of available time. Jeff showed up on time to get the project started and then Sergio and his assistant took over the actual taking down of the old and building the new. Both Jeff and Sergio exceeded my expectations on every level! Despite a couple of unavoidable short rain delays, the project was still completed on time. These guys were very careful and protective of my existing landscaping and cleaned up after themselves in a "Leave No Trace" fashion at the end of the project. I now have a beautiful, very well-built new fence and my husband and I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend Texas Best Fence to everyone!!! PS - The one hiccup I experienced was dealing with the young ladies in the front office. The two that I spoke with in the beginning seemed a little uncaring and unyielding, which almost cost Texas Best Fence my business. I'm very glad that I persevered until I met the project manager - it was like watching a well-oiled machine after that!

Initially the sales associate was very nice and professional. He sold us on the " supposed superior "quality of work. The project started late and people never showed up when they were scheduled. When the concrete was stained only 8 pieces of stone were stained. Really?!?! They came out and did more. I complained about the whole process and the bosses wanted to come talk after the job was finished. I never heard from them again. The only thing that they were punctual and kept their promise was to pick up the check. Now there is a huge crack in the cement. It's almost as if it is lifting up with cracks going everywhere....l I've called and someone came to look at it. He was going to talk with his boss to see what could be done. That was a month ago. I call and get the same response about needing to do something. Would someone please stop talking and actually do something. I paid $10,000 for what looks like amateur work. I am so upset and displeased with the lack of professionalism in all aspects....especially now that there is a problem. It's sad to walk outside and look at hard earned money wasted on a crappy job. It remains to be seen if they will do anything about this.

The estimator came and assessed my backyard for a new arbor and deck and extending our existing patio. Overall experience with the estimator was great as he provided detailed information of the process once the contract is signed. However it has been over a week and I have not received a quote as he indicated a few days. After calls to the main office, email and call to the estimator, I have not received any information or return calls.

Came out and gave me a quote for a fencing job. Very nice guy. We ended up going with a motorcycle buddy of ours, but I would recommend them to other people.

I contacted the office to get a quote for a new fence and electric gate. The estimate windows are scheduled in 4 hour increments. With my work schedule this was difficult to work in, so I took the day off for the appointment. Unfortunately, on the day of the appointment Jeff called to tell me he couldn't make it to the appointment. I was a little frustrated, but he agreed to come that next Saturday to make it up to me. It was handled well. He was available by cell for questions after the estimate. I went with a different company, mostly because they could get the job done a week earlier. Texas best wasn't the cheapest quote I received, but wasn't outrageously more expensive either.

Evaluated our requirements for fence replacement, and supplied project estimate. Promised high quality, and exceeded even that. While they were not the cheapest estimate, their attention to details in their estimate was reassuring when comparing to the 8 other estimates I obtained. Seeming small details proved to be important. For example, a couple of the estimates provided post lengths, and it was pointed out that those posts could only be installed two feet in the ground, where quality installations would be three feet in the ground.

It looked beautiful. They responded almost immediately. Within a few days of moving in here we had the fence going up. They are a little more expensive but the quality is better. They were real punctual and very professional.

It was a great experience. These guys are TOP NOTCH!!! I needed some minor adjustments made after the fact and they went over and beyond what was necessary. I will definitely use them again.

First contacted Texas Best Fence in mid December. Jeff came out the next day to give an estimate on extending my current patio. Contacted two other vendors and decided to use Texas Best Fence based on the professionalism of Jeff. After submitting the contract and contacting Texas Best Fence to see if they received my fax, which they did I let time go by as Jeff let me know up front that they could not pour the concrete until the weather stayed above 45 degrees. Well January came around along with the 70 degree weather, I called again to see when they might be able to tell me when they would be out and I was told by the front office that they would get back with me. Weeks went by and I contacted them again just to see if they were even going to do the work as it was now the end of January. The front office again told me that they would get back with me and I stress to them that I had heard that before with no results. Well low and behold the next day Jeff called and explained that they were having office issues and my contract had been lost. He apologized many times and within two weeks I have a beautiful new patio. The gentleman that poured the concrete showed up early, 7:30 and they were finished by 3:30. The site was left very clean. Although we had a bumpy start I would use Texas Best Fence in the future. They were professional and not above explaining what had happened to my order. Things happen.

The Texas Best Fence representatives were able to come for an onsite visit and provide an estimate very quickly. Everyone we worked with was very helpful and pleasant. Our installation representative, Kimbra, was very accessible via email or phone. She provided multiple photo examples of fence, gate and gate key styles through email. Our representatives met onsite with the landscaping contractor to make sure that the posts for the new fence were set appropriately to follow the plan for the rest of the project. We were informed promptly about scheduling and the progress of the project. We are extremely satisfied with the final product and had a great experience with Texas Best Fence.

Don't know how a vendor can expect to "sell" you something when they don't even have a sample of the tangible product to show a client what they're paying for. They made promises they didn't keep in preparing the estimate and were pressuring me to tell that what the other bids were. Very unprofessional.

We enjoyed working with Texas Best Fence and more specifically - Andrea. The process was very easy and quite quick. I requested an appointment and met with someone about three business days later. I received the quote and contract during the initial consult. From the time I returned the contract it was one week until the installation began - which was even sooner than promised! The entire process took two days: one to tear down the old fence and one to install the new fence. It was quick and absolutely painless especially since we didn't have to be there either day. The crew was professional and left the yard and surrounding area very clean. We would definitely recommend Texas Best Fence and will probably use them again for an arbor / patio cover in the near future.

They stayed on budget. They were timely on their appointments. Their communication was good because there were weather delays. We are planning to use them again.

They were on tie everyday. Completed the job when they said they would. Expert craftsman at what they do.

Jeff Richards changed the price after we agreed upon something. The company was increasing the price on me due to my job not being big enough for them to prosper. I let them know that they already had $400 of mine, they contacted me and told me to get reimbursed by Angie's List and apologized for being "out of my range".

Everything went very well. The arrived when they said they would and worked quickly. The fence is very nice and really enhances our yard. They were very professional and Andrea even came out to make sure everything was going well. She is very nice and she answered all my questions.

The project went as planned with few "minor" problems. They were a little higher than other bids, but I chose them based on their reputation and warranty. I'm glad I did!!
