They arrived when they said they would. They worked hard throughout the day and the heat. The work is of high quality and looks great!

Everything went very well. The crews came out on 24 Aug 2015 and got right to work. By mid-day on 25 Aug the fence crew was done with the fence. The fence installed is side by side stained cedar with a kick board and decorative gate art. My wife is very pleased with the fence. The second crew was working on the deck and arbor. Gomez the lead on this crew took the time to answer any and all questions, explained how things were going to proceed and corrected everything I wanted corrected. Gomez even did some additional work correcting a few minor issues with the fence. We had the fence reversed so the pretty side is facing us and there were some gaps between the neighbors fences and ours. Gomez fixed these without question. They completed the deck and arbor one day ahead of schedule; 26 Aug 2015. Our sales guy/contractor; Jeff; was very responsive and when we showed him the fence issues he had Gomez take care of it. Jeff was out on the first day to make sure the crew had arrived and had everything they needed to do the jobs scheduled. Thanks All for a job very well done. My wife is extremely pleased with everything!!!

We worked with Adam Jolly of Texas Best Fence. The proposal process was informative, timely, and professional. We met their stone guy who brought over several examples of travertine. Once we accepted the proposal it started raining (spring of 2015) and didn't stop for about 8 weeks, so all the outdoor work got way backed up. Once they started they were professional, reasonably quiet, stayed within the ground rules we laid out, took just over a week to complete the installation. They put plastic over all the doors and windows to reduce the dust. Once complete they cleaned everything up. After talking with Adam we decided we needed to also replace a concrete porch step with a travertine/stone step. Excellent job on this. The travertine looks fantastic, everything lines up perfectly, the colors match perfectly. It exactly matches our expectations. We are delighted. ( don't seem to be able to post a photo. Good, once they got here. We had to wait our turn but once they got here they did the job in two days. The installers were really good and so was the Sales Rep Andrea Richards.

I called for an estimate, and I got a response very quickly. Jeff came out and walked the yard with me to determine what I needed. I had asked for some details on the estimate to see how the pieces were broken out. The estimate was very clear, and the price came in right at what others did (a little lower too). We had chosen them because our neighbor used them, and the fence looked great after years. The team took my contract, and got me scheduled a few weeks later. They were prompt in their arrival, and the team went right to work. It was also important to me that they not block the alley, and they parked in a way that kept my alley clear for my neighbors. The work was done in two days, and it looked fantastic. The day after, Jeff came out to inspect the job and collect the remainder of my payment. He was very cordial and punctual and very knowledgeable about my specific work and the company. It was a great experience, and I would recommend that you ask Texas Best Fence to estimate a job for you!

After the estimate in April, I NEVER heard back from them and it's now August. i called the office, they said that Nate would call me back. He never called. I sent an email to Nate asking when the work on the fence might start, and I never got a reply. I called the office, and told them I would be moving on since I never heard anything from them and I wanted this work to get done. When you sign and agree with the "estimate/contract", you are now obligated to pay for service, but evidently, they are not obligated to do the service or communicate with you about the service. The last 2 times I called the office, they informed that an email would be sent to me, letting me know that the contract had ended. I never received that email. I will call again and try to get this email. For now, i'm still looking for someone to build my fence. Not a good experience.

Job went well. Two guys showed up on time and cleaned the fence. As requested, they waited a couple days to return and stain the fence. They worked hard and were very amenable to my requests. They did a great job and I would hire the company again.

Workers showed up on time. Both were professional and courteous. Despite 105 temp they worked fast and efficient. New fence done in less than two days (approx 100 ft). Prestained wood, metal posts, two gates, kick plate. Excellent work.

The team was great. They tore down my existing fence and carted it away. Put up my new fence in a very timely and professional manner. I am very pleased with the product and the service provided.

Texas Best Fence ?It is NOT!? I have been a member of ?Angie?s List? for many years in Texas and have recommended your company to others on numerous occasions. I also enlisted my father as a member of Angie?s List when he lived in California. I have been a cheerleader for your firm. I have depended on your recommended contractors in the past. As homeowners we have been under contract with ?Texas Best Fence? (TBF) since May 14th, 2015, for a stamped concrete front walk and similar work for a new pool deck in our back yard coupled with construction for an outdoor kitchen. Here is what has happened since that date. It was our understanding that when we signed the contract, it would be 3-5 weeks before construction would begin as other customers were ahead of us. However, a few days after signing the contract, the sales rep for the company informed us that they had an opening in their schedule and work would commence immediately on the removal and replacement of our front walk/steps/porch and the tear out of our backyard pool deck and patio. Further, it was stated that the entire job, once underway could be completed in 2 ? 3 weeks. The referenced work commenced during the third week of May and before the end of the month, the front walkway work had been poured but the porch steps did not meet city of Plano code requirements. (The company has repeatedly promised to tear out and re-build the front walk/step problem but only when the back yard deck is poured.) At the same time (late May), the back yard deck had been demolished and the patio tile had been removed from the site with the old concrete decking. A small amount of site prep work (including steel rebar) was done for the back yard pool/deck in very early June (See attached pictures). The project then stalled as TBF could not get necessary permitting for the back yard project because the city officials informed us that they had put TBF ?on hold? due to an expired permit on another Plano job that the company had completed but never got final city inspection for that job. Despite repeated promises from TBF ownership/management that they would promptly take care of this matter, it was several weeks before that mess got cleaned up with the city of Plano. Realizing the missteps of TBF performance with regard to our job, TBF ownership then informed us (through the sales rep) that our job was going to the top of their customer ?need to complete? list (email to us on June 26, 2015). NOTE: We were not moved to the top of their customer list. Then the company promised to get workers to our project for site work (rough-in of plumbing and electricity) but there were repeatedly broken promises for this work and subcontractors that did not show up as scheduled. Meanwhile, the required permit applications were finally made by TBF on 7/20/2015 and 7/27/2015, respectively, including city inspection requirement for the electrical and plumbing rough-in work (separate fee of $45 that I had to pay to get a timely inspection permit) for the related work completed to date. The plumbing rough-in work completed by one of their subcontractors failed the first city inspection (on 7/21/2015) because the work was not properly completed. Further delays ensued as TBF would not commit to send the plumbing company back out to fix the compliance issues despite our repeated written requests for this work. The plumber finally showed on 7/31/2015 and did the necessary work. As homeowners, we then had to call the city of Plano ourselves on August 2nd to request the plumbing inspection which was just completed on August 4th and the inspection got a ?pass? from the city. It is August 5th and we are now at another standstill as TBF will not commit to us when site/prep work can be resumed for another city inspection that is required (for ?stinger wire? tied to the rebar) before the backyard pool deck can be poured. Further, work is still not completed to correct front walk/steps that were poured in late May and steps do not meet city code requirements. Again, our contract was signed on May 14th with TBF and we are almost 3 months into this job with TBF. The attached photos (which are worth a thousand words) show you exactly the mess that we have in our back yard pool/patio area and the front walk/steps that need a 15? tear out and re-pour. To compound our problem with TBF, we have a separate pool contractor that cannot finish his work on our pool due to the delays imposed on us by TBF. Due to the extended TBF delays, we now have blisters on the pool sidewalls which require more pool work and additional expense that now belongs to TBF to remedy. Our pool contractor has been delayed for two months and still cannot complete his pool work until the pool decking is poured. The quality of their work is good. They didn't listen in detail for what I was wanting for the measurements of the fence and playground.

They did an awesome job, looks even better than expected. The workers cleaned everything up, very neat job. I didn't realize how terrible the old fence looked until this new one was in place. Will definitely use again and will recommend to others.

Honestly, Colby saved me from making a very big mistake- canceling our contract! The work we had TBF perform was part of a backyard renovation that included a new pool, spa & fire pit. Our experience with the pool builder did not go well. Construction began in January. Due to frequent rain, and serious disagreements about patio drainage & overall design, the pool itself took nearly six months to complete. We were absolutely exasperated by the time we reached out to Andrea & TBF to replace our fence. Worse yet, the rain that had delayed our pool build so many times had also played havoc with TBF's schedule. After waiting nearly two months to get started on our new fence, our patience was frankly exhausted. But after contacting Colby to opt out, he suggested a meeting at our home that afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by his professionalism & courtesy. He had some great ideas. We eventually modified the original scope of work to include an attached pavilion and a stone outdoor kitchen/bar. The workmanship was impressive. Once they got started, they worked very quickly. And the cost was reasonable. The best part is that the fence, pavilion and kitchen are absolutely beautiful! The end result doesn't completely erase the disappointment of the new pool/patio, but it comes very close! We'd use/recommend them again in a heartbeat...

I took off a half day to meet someone at the house to discuss replacing my old fence. The meeting seemed to be going well. He was punctual, friendly, and informative. I emailed twice, two weeks after the appointment, to see about when I'd get an estimate. He said he "can't seem to locate the paperwork," and that was the last I heard of him. It's now been a month. I've contacted TBF, and they are trying to clear up the confusion. Time will tell if this review changes.

Overall, it was great. They knew what they were doing. The fence looks amazing! It's gorgeous and well done. The electric gate is whisper-quiet and smooth. The pedestrian gate is well done and works perfectly. They really did an amazing job with the craftsmanship. However, when the sales rep came to collect the first half of the payment on the first day of work, she tried to charge me an additional 3% fee for paying with a credit card. I informed her that this was illegal and that I'd be opening a complaint with the Attorney General's office. She called her boss and they decided to waive the fee for me. If they tried that with me, then they're doing it with all of their customers. Most of whom wouldn't know better. Later that day, when I arrived home, I went to inspect the first day's work. I discovered that the new fence line had been set much further into my yard than we had agreed upon and further than the existing fence had been. When I complained, they told me that they automatically move fence lines in a full 12" whenever an electric gate is being installed. It didn't matter what measurements my property survey showed or what the city requirements were. They simple did what they wanted to do. They moved the fence line into my garden and were going to build the fence over the crossties bordering my garden. They were going to leave me with an easement of 5.5' -- the largest of any on my block. The norm is 4' . I had them take up the fence posts and reset the fence line back to the original position. There is ample room for the electric gate and the easement for the city. Once the project was complete, I had to inspect every detail and have them come back twice to touch up spots left undone and finish hauling away the final portion of the old fence. They left it twice. There was a decorative gate ring that was promised to me but not installed until I asked about it.

They're just very nice honest folks that listen to what you want, instead of trying to sell you what they want.

After a problem with communication and scheduling, we are having Texas Best Fence reschedule and do the work, a follow up review will be provided.

He said an additional part and cost was needed to make sure the gate closed all the way. However, the gap slowly kept getting bigger each time the gate was used. Then my dog could fit through the opening. I called the office to have him return but was told on 3 occasions by different staff that they would add it to the schedule or they were trying to add another team for repairs, etc. I waited 9 days and finally called another company. The other company came out that afternoon and quickly made the adjustment which showed Texas Best Fence didn't know how to make the simple adjustment and no part was needed. Very disappointed because we will need 2 new sides to our fence in a couple of years and I won't be calling them.

I would highly recommend this company. The work was completed in a timely fashion. The work crew was respectful of myself and our property. Coordination was required between the gate company I use (Alan's Gate) and Texas Best Fence which went very smoothly. With the wood remnants the work crew built a hose holder for me and attached it to the fencing next to one of the front gates. Please note I didn't ask for this nor did I know about it until the sales rep I was working with stopped by to pick up payment. I was very touched by the gift.

Our consultant was very responsive. Came out for the quote on time. Gave us serval cost options. answered emails promtly. The crew was on time, curdious and cooperative with my suggestions on height and where to attach to the house. So far no issues. I have walked on the roof and it felt quite sturdy. I added the shade panels myself and we will be adding to it later. I think the cost was a bit high, but I think everything is too high! We did not have to put out any money until the job was completed, I liked that and tells me the company stands behind their work.

Texas best fence started on the day that they promised and completed on the day that they promised. Work exceeded my expectations. The guys that built our fence were truly craftsman that took pride in what they were doing. We had approximately 150 feet of fence work done with two gates. The work was spectacular and exceeded my expectations. Both of my neighbors had their fences done as well and were similarly impressed.

They did an absolutely beautiful job. The owner/manager came out to discuss the construction with me before I signed any contract because I had some special requirements. They were very flexible in working with me and could not have been more accommodating. Even when I made some changes in mid-construction, they listened to my ideas, made additional suggestions and we arrived at a design that we just love. The people that did the construction work were very accommodating and extremely hard working. The man in charge of the work was named Luis and I tell people that he was just a machine because I cannot believe the amount of work he could do each day. He really paid attention to the details that make for an attractive and distinctive look. I have 2 dogs and the crew was mindful to not allow them to get out of the yard. They put up barricade plastic fencing for me and made sure it was always in place when they left, during the construction period, so the dogs did not get into any trouble. :-) My family could not be happier with the finished product.

Texas Best fence did a really good job installing the fence. I am really fussy about fence construction, but the quality of the installation was excellent. There was a bit of miscommunication on the design of the pergola topper on the fence. I was out of town when I was sent a picture of what had been built. It was not want I had wanted (somewhat my fault as I did not ask enough questions about the final design). I talked to Adam and his installers redesigned it on the fly and it ended up looking great. I have another large retaining wall/ walkway project coming up and I will definitely use Texas Best Fence.
