The crew came on time, was fast at tearing down the old fence and put up the new fence quickly and efficiently. The end result is beautiful and joins the other fence perfectly. The workmen were very polite and cleaned the whole area up with no mess. We were able to go out back on our patio and enjoy the installation job immediately.

Andrea and Luis's team did an exceptional job. The price was competitive and yet there were so many little touches that I was not even expecting that made this fence look so good. One of which was a Texas Star on the gate. I was not expecting that and my wife LOVES Texas stars. I was a little leery that they REALLY set the poles 3 feet deep so I measured the pieces they cut off (8") so a 10' pole less 6' for the fence and 8" for the cut meant they were sunk 1 1/3' deep. This fence should pretty much NEVER wave. I also did not expect the thickness of the slats nor the lattice work I had added on one side. I was expecting typical flimsy lattice but good enough. Instead it was solidly 1/2" slats (possibly 5/8"). VERY strong and sturdy. I can not recommend them enough.

This company is dishonest and unethical. I called Texas Best Fence, among other companies, to get bids for minor sliding gate repair. I was told they couldn't get someone out until the following day for a free estimate of work. I asked if they could give me a price over the phone for a service call and was told they could not. I set up the appointment for the next day. I was then contacted by another company who said they could have someone out same day and gave me a specific price for a service call. I scheduled the call and then called Texas Best Fence Company to cancel the appointment. I received a call later in the day letting me know the repairman was near my house... I incorrectly assumed it was the company I had spoken to earlier in the day. It wasn't until after the man did his work that I realized he was not from the company I scheduled with but from Texas Fence Company. Although I felt cheated, especially since the repairman couldn't diagnose and fix the problem, I paid him the $100 anyway. I called Texas Fence Company to complain and asked to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for 5 minutes, then called back. This time my call was routed to a recording.

Repair quality was ok, but not great. Only exception is that my neighbor said they left a lot of nails in his yard. The company misquoted my request and did not explain the quote properly. Therefore, while the fence was repaired, I did not receive new wood. I did not think to ask if I was getting new wood, because I asked for a quote to fix my fence and gave the same requirement to 2 other companies that provided a quote. I now realize why this company was lower than the others. After the mistake was noticed, the company, mainly the owner Colby, was very rude and unwilling to take the time to understand the situation from all perspectives. The company is horrible at being responsive also and it took a very long time to get the job scheduled. I had to contact the company at least 3 times or more to get on the schedule. After getting on the schedule, I was not provided a time, the repairman just showed up. I do not recommend this company, because when things go wrong, they are very rude. I've never dealt with a company this rude before and not willing to own the mistake and make it right. I went ahead and paid this company to end this nightmare.

First trip they were supposed to repair 1 corner of the fence. When he showed up, he did not have the planks, but only had poles. The poles did not need replaced, it was the wooden planks that needed service. They came back for the 2nd time to stain. They were staining my fence before power washing. When I stopped them to let them know, they looked at my as if they did not know the process. They came back a 3rd time to stain, but my bushes were too grown for them to do a satisfying job. The staining process has been postponed many times. As of now, we have the staining service scheduled for September.

Extremely disappointed. Initial appointment seemed great - promised that they would come out and do a walk through after to ensure I was satisfied. Replaced some boards in my fence ( I purchased the boards and marked the ones to be replaced). Repainted my fence but left the sides of the unfinished slats unpainted. Did a horrible job on my deck - uneven, big drips down the side and between the slats. They were supposed to brush on the deck stain since it was a new deck, but they sprayed it. I called and called and got very little communication back. I sent a bunch of pictures detailing the problems. Got a call one day that the "team" was at my house but wasnt sure what they were supposed to do. I told them to leave until a supervisor could be onsite to make sure all the problems were addressed. Never happened. I kept calling and then they changed sales people on me - to the owner - and he never returned my calls. He sent someone back out without talking to me and it still looks horrible. Dont know how they have an A rating on this site - they are certainly not deserving of it.

Our representative was Kimbra Pervine, and she did an excellent job setting up the project for us. They were very busy, so we did have a bit of a wait to get started, but when we finally got our date, Sergio and his work crew arrived on time and ready to go. On the first day, they proceeded to take out the old fencing and installed the metal posts for the new fence. On the second day they had completely installed the new fence and gate by that afternoon.They cleaned up the site well and and the finished product was just beautiful. I highly recommend Texas Best Fence for their professionalism and craftsmanship. The fence looks great and the process was painless.

Texas Best Fence is exactly that - the BEST! Sean Lease was a pleasure to work with. He is a true professional. We are very pleased with our fence and highly recommend this company. This is our second experience with them and both were exceptional.

The man who came out to do the quote was absolutely horrible. He said he would email the three quotes for the concrete, flagstone, and fence. He never even got my email, and he just left in a hurry. I called the office, and asked them to mail me a copy of the quote. I never got my quotes. I called a second time, and they still never sent the quotes. I called a third time to ask to speak to a manager. Someone named Jay, who said he was the vice president, spoke with me, and was very apologetic. A week later, I still never got the quote he promised me. I called a fourth time, and still haven't heard anything. At this point, I'm very frustrated and I don't want to work with this provider.

Although the completed fence looks outstanding, it was pretty rough getting there. There were multiple problems with the initial fence as far as placement and quality, and communication on the part of Texas Best Fence was lacking to say the least. They did fix everything and again, the fence looks great, however it took months to even get any action taken or attention paid to our complaints.

Clint came out and provided an estimate for work. I accepted the contract for $1788.00. Clint told me that %50 down payment was needed, but upon responding to my statement that I would only pay the customary 10% upfront, he agreed for payment to be received upon completion. Clint said this was no problem and promised the work would be scheduled as soon as possible. I was then told that the company had quite a bit of work, so there would be a delay in scheduling. This was fine with me. However, after waiting 6 weeks for scheduling of my project, I contacted TEXAS BEST FENCE, and did not receive a response until a week later. Clint broke the agreement stating in writing that he needed 50% upfront and he refused to give me a personal call when requested so that the situation could be discussed. This is a very poor professional response by this company and I will never try to use them again. I have a feeling that one needs to be very careful with this company or one could easily loose 50% on a work estimate prepayment without any work being done. BUYER BEWARE!!

Buyer Beware! Texas Best Fence may use good fencing materials but their lack of professionalism and control of subcontractors makes them a "C" grade choice (at best!). - TBF contracted out the work and did not provide sufficient oversight of the sub. The sub used his own tools; left chain wire, fencing and materials on both our and our neighbor's yards and damaged our garage door post by backing his trailer into it. - TBF and subs don't communicate on the customer's fence needs. The fence was installed backwards from what was agreed upon. It was important to us that the fence posts would be on the inside (smooth side of the fence out) -but that's not what was installed. -TBF brags that they dig their post holes down 3 feet instead of the standard 2 - but come to find out they have a "standard" with their subs that calls for using one bag of cement for every three posts. I expressed concern to them because this resulted in the cement being 4" below grade...so rain water is going to collect in the holes. TBF's response to this concern was to add cement - but just to the holes on one of the three fence sides! (Their excuse was they thought I was asking for more cement to satisfy that neighbor's concern about it - not because I was concerned about the fence post stability??). - The TBF sales representative I started with was not responsive to my concerns and (reportedly) told one of my neighbor's that I was "not a nice person". -At every step anytime a concern was shared with TBF there were excuses and push-back. It just wore me out to try and get a decent fence product out of them. Bottom line: If you are going to use Texas Best Fence make very sure every single element that you want is written out in the contract and make sure you pay attention to what's happening on your property.

It went okay. They were here a two months ago. There were additional costs. It ended up being about double. It was around $600. I might use them again in the future.

We hired them to stain our fence after reading the Angie's list reviews. (not sure how they have an "A" based off all the F's not that I'm looking at this closer) The main problem with them is the complete lack of communication. From the time we scheduled it to the time they came it was ridiculous. And I'm not talking about normal delays due to the rain....the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing at this company. The lady in the office, Amanda, confirmed thru their portal and on the phone a certain date they'd be there...no rain that day...the they didn't show. When they finally did show and do the staining, it was ok. They did not cover everything as promised. Mess on the plants, stained concrete around d the pool....was not done properly. We requested a re touch. Still needed a 3rd re touch. SO, I asked them to contact us prior to coming out so we can leave the gate unlocked and be there to show them what was missed to make this the last trip. Nope...they just came, climbed our fence and damaged the gutter down spout (guess they utilized that to climb up?) No discussion, follow up, or anything. The fact they have an "A" leaves me to wonder how legit this site is.

Don't even think about using these guys. I have aboard on board fence that needed 3 gates repaired and several boards had come loose with tree branches growing in between. A sales person came out and sent me a quote. A few weeks later, I called to schedule repairs and was informed that the sales person had left but they told me I would be put on the schedule. Approximately 1 month past with no word and I had long assumed they would not be performing the repairs...until I received a bill! I called and told them no work had been done to the fence! After two weeks I received and email with a scheduled date with a disclaimer that the schedule might be affected by the storms. Of course it was and they finally got to it a couple weeks following. I met the fence guy at the property after he had began and he complained about the difficulty of the gate repair but was almost finished. I wasnt impressed with the quality of the work but thought it was good enough for the pricing. He assured me he would be securing the trim to fence and I reiterated my concerns with the trim repair. He called me about 10 minutes after I left and said he was finished. I asked how he could've completed the trim repair that quickly? He stated that the removal of braches etc was not included on the contract. How can fence repairs be completed without securing boards? Repair would require removal of branches and mailing boards! I called the office and sent pictures and got no reply. The stainer called a day later and said I would need a special type of stain to cover existing stain. I agreed and gave them the green light as I was over the entire process. He did a good job and secured the boards he could w/o doing the entire job. I sent them a check the next day. About one week later, though I dont believe they received my payment at the time, I received an email regarding someone coming out to repair to remove the branches. I ignored it and a subsequent email with an specific date was sent. Who knows if someone will come out, it doesnt matter at this point and looks just ok. In summary, something is very broken about this company. The sales people are disconnected from what appears to be independent contractors who are separate from the office folks. The compnay bid on a major project at my house before I enagaged this project and thank God I went in a different direction. Their Angies List rating doesnt match ratings on Yelp and other sites. I could go into more detail but hopefully you get the jist.

This is the second time we have used Texas Best Fence to install a deck and they did a fantastic job. We initially had Jeff give us a bid for this second deck last year but we were unable to have the work done at that time due to a family illness. When I called Jeff back, he looked at the old quote and said they would honor that price. This house is on a rocky hill so the deck is elevated and wraps around two sides of the house. In addition they had to work around our septic system which is partially under the supports for the stair into the back yard. It was not an easy project. They showed up when scheduled and cleaned up before they left each day. It took a day and a half to demo the old deck and hot tub then they worked for two full days before it started raining. It rained for almost a week but the first sunny day they were back. Gomez was the foreman on the crew and he is a gifted craftsman. I let him make the calls on some of the angles and trim and he made it look better than we could have imagined. The city building inspector said he was so impressed with the quality of the materials and the design of the project that he approved the permit in one day (it usually takes 5-10 days). We also had an iron fence with gate installed by Sergio. He was able to get the posts installed before the rain and then finished during a short break in the rain a few days later. That fence is beautiful and functional. Overall I cannot say enough good things about Jeff, Gomez and his crew, and Sergio. Jeff was very easy to work with and I could always reach him by phone. Gomez and his crew did a beautiful job and were very considerate when we needed to let our dogs in the yard. Sergio was so quick and efficient that I only saw him the day Jeff introduced him. Our friends and family have been very complimentary and a contractor we have working on an interior job was so impressed that he asked me who did the work and where they got the materials. I also had another deck contractor tell me that he would have charged $20,000 more than we paid. I would not hesitate to use TBF again and recommend them to everyone I know.

I reached out to TBF early last year to receive a quote on fencing and drive gate for my home. Jeff from their company came out soon enough and provided a detail quote that ran around $9000. That price was in range with others that had quoted and we decided we were going to go with Jeff's bid. Unfortunately the holiday bonus didn't come in as expected. So in the meantime while I wait for my next bonus, I decided to get a very small portion of the job done. Here's where the fun begins... It seems, according to other recent reviews, their responsiveness has really tanked in the last year. I called and left Jeff a message earlier here in February and sent an email. After a couple of days of no response, I decided to text Jeff since I still had his number. He immediately responded and stated he hadn't received any of my messages and asked what he could do. I let him know I wanted to do a small portion of what he quoted until I get my bonus later in the year. I communicated what I wanted done, and I guess because it wasn't the $9k job, his eagerness to assist drifted quickly. Didn't hear from him for another day. Texted him again. He said he was sorry and he just ran out of time at the end of the day but he would get it to me later in the evening. Another WEEK went by and I text him again asking what happened. He apologized and said he was in a meeting and would get me that revised quote afterwards. I waited another day and have just given up. I'm sure their quality is good enough from what I have read, but you have to have the patience to stay on them to get back to you. Also be sure that bid is large enough, or you may just never hear from them again. Must be nice to have so much business that they simply push business away.

The workers were very courteous and had professional attitude about the work. They provided a top notch stain to our fence and protected our shrubs and grass. It would have been nice to see stain samples. The first pricing was given to my father in law and was corrected when I noticed an error. The final charge given to my father in law was not accurate. Both issues were corrected easily by friendly and courteous office staff.

We had a great experience and were very happy with the results. Jeff was able to provide a quote the day he visited and kept in constant contact. He stopped by on a regular basis to check work progress. The fence and patio cover were installed very quickly. Would definitely recommend them.

BUYER BEWARE The work order was placed with Ali, who came out and provided the bid, then took the required 50% deposit. After several days, I had not hear from them regarding the project, so sent a message through their secure website system on 3-15. Amanda responded, and advised that the customer service team would be getting back to me. On the 23rd I got a message that they would be out on 3-30 to clean and 3-31 to stain. I returned the call the following day to a) confirm I got the message, and b) to inquire as to when they were going to do the new installation, as they certainly would need to install before staining, I assumed. I was told that construction was handled by a different department and the latter would be getting back to me. As that had not happened after 24 hours, I called and was told the construction portion of the program had not been scheduled yet, but to be patient. My patience waned by 3-28 and, when I called, Amanda said perhaps they could come out that same day to avoid issues with staining schedules, then said "no", he is running behind, but, could be at the house to build the fence and gate between 8a-10a the next morning. At noon on 3-29, having still seen nobody from Texas Best Fence, I called to inquire as to his whereabouts, and Ali told me that he, "Garcia", was running behind again for the second day in a row. A bit later I called again and shared with Amanda that as I had already taken half a day off to accommodate them, I needed to leave the house around 1p. She said he would be at the house in " half an hour to an hour", and that she would let him know of my time constraints. At 12:52 John called and said "Garcia" was just leaving the dump in Lewisville and would be right over, if I could wait. I agreed. Shortly thereafter, he did appear. But, he did not have any wood with him. He wanted to verify what was needed, then said he would be back later to get it done. He did not reappear until April 2nd, built the fence and gate while I was not home and left. In the interim, an individual named Will came out and did a truly magnificent and meticulous job staining the original fencing. In addition to the fact that the fences are about 3-4 inches different in height at the upright where the new and old fence join, the gate that was installed has cross beams that are already splitting out in less than a week. Of course, because the staining was done BEFORE the construction, I have untreated wood, in addition to the splits. On 4-6, I received an email with an invoice for the balance due. Moments later the phone rang and she too was from TBF, and asked if I got the invoice and how I liked the work that was done. I advised her of the challenges remaining, and she said she would get back with me. Today is 4-7, and I have heard nothing, so have decided to post this. The left and right hand at this company are not adequately communicating. I cannot recommend them for anything but staining, if done by Will.

Very confusing one visit then a bunch of emails. Job site messy, got a fence, but not what we asked for, cap piece, two polls remain incomplete, asked multiple times for itemized estimate, the rep never showed up and they where not bi-lingual. Work debris left. Asked for Texas Star in door, got a different cut out, asked for the cap piece still have not received. No response from rep.

Jeff met me at my house on Thursday, March 10, at the time scheduled. He called 15 minutes prior as requested and arrived within the time frame indicated. I have a 102 ft long retaining wall that needs to be replaced, as well as a 300 square foot balcony and approximately 100 ft of fencing. As my husband and I are both architectural project managers, we had already measured the areas of work and were able to provide dimensioned drawings for all of the work to be completed. We had also already had structural drawings completed by an engineer. Basically, we had already completed all of the ground work. All Jeff needed to do was provide an estimate to complete that work. He stated that they were more than capable of completing the work and would have an estimate to me by the following Monday or Tuesday. Those days came and went. I called his cellular phone on Wednesday seeking a status. He did not answer. I left a message. He never returned my call. I sent a message through Angie's List to the main office the next day asking for a status update. They never responded. I called the main office on Friday and spoke with a woman. She tried to call Jeff while I held the line. She could not get a hold of him and stayed that she would have him call me by the end of the day. He never called. I called the main office again Monday, March 21, STILL seeking a status update. Spoke with a different woman. She said she would send Jeff an email and try to call him and request that he contact me by the end of the day. He never called. Today is Tuesday, March 22, 3pm. I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM. If they needed more time for the estimate, that was perfectly fine. But not returning a call or message after 4 attempts and almost two weeks later is inexcusable. It is unprofessional and disrespectful of the customer and their time.

Texas Best Fence was very easy to deal with. The carpenter and the fence strainers did an excellent job, and I thought the price was very reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again.

Wish I had come here before hiring them instead of after... going to have to agree with others here. Overall the build was good - they did a great job on my fence, but completely botched the staining of my deck - took months to complete and they used the wrong kind of stain, after 3 weeks it was still not dry, after I finally called enough times to complain they said they would come and "backroll" the stain - which I thought meant remove the excess that was still not drying after almost a month. I got a call unexpectedly that they were at my house to fix this when I was in the middle of a meeting - the worker explained that he was there to apply another coat of stain... after telling him the problem was that the stain was not dying or getting absorbed into the wood and the excess stain needed to be removed - and "DO NOT ADD MORE STAIN", he said the boss was on the way and that they would straighten it out. never got a return call and when I got home that night - yep, you guessed it - completely coated with another layer of stain. now a month after that screw up and it can still be wiped off the wood. no one is returning my calls and my sales rep that I was working with has left the company. Avoid this company - do not make the same mistake I did. I spent $25,000 with this company and no one cares about the shotty work they did. I am going to have to hire someone to come behind them and fix their mistakes.
