I honestly chose this company because they had a coupon but I was very pleased with their service. They were very polite. Took very good care of me and even helped me out to my car with all my locks!

I called because I had lost a key to a curio cabinet during a move. The service was setup for the same day. The tech called on route and arrived on time. The lock in question was a small and somewhat unusual lock. The tech quickly removed the lock and then had to take it back to the shop since it was out of the ordinary. He returned a short time later (we live very close to the shop) with the new keys and re-installed the lock. The service was perfect.

On Nov 15 I contacted Securitex to inquire about the installation of a brand new gun safe weighing about 430 lbs. The installation required moving the safe from my garage to the master bedroom closet and bolting it down (no stairs involved). I was quoted between $175-$200 which I accepted and scheduled the appointment for Nov 16 between 10 AM and 12 PM. On Nov 16, at exactly 9:34 AM, I received a call from Securitex to inform me that the price will in fact be "more like $400" to have the gun safe installed. At this point, I had already prepared for the move: emptied the closet, moved furniture out of the way. All this with a 2 month old and a full time job... I consider this to be absolutely ridiculous and refused the doubled price.

They were able to come out immediately. Very knowledgable, you could tell he's been doing this for years. Highly professional. When someone rekeys your house, you have to trust them. It was easy to do so with him. Even fixed a door handle he noticed didn't work properly. He knocked it out promptly at a fair price. I would highly reccommend.

Quickly and painlessly. Work was performed at Securitex' location, which saved us time and money.

They were prompt and did a good job. They prices were also very reasonable.

I would recommend them and they came within the time period they said. The locksmith was nice and I will use them again in the future.

Absolutely fantastic service! Very professional knowledgeable and very fast. I had to re-key my locks unexpectedly when a key went missing outside my apartment in Coppell (i had to clear the re-key with my landlord first of course). I recently saw a report on the local news channels that showed that some locksmiths shouldn't be trusted. The news report said to check for a license and make sure the locksmith didn't use a centralized call center. They actually showed that they called a particular company but another company actually came out. I wanted to make sure the service was done by someone that knew what they were doing. I also wanted the company that I call to be the ones that come out and do the work. I had to do my research (without Angie's list because I hadn't heard of this yet). These guys have an exemplary rating with the BBB, which is real hard to get. I had them re-key 5 locks total (2 deadbolts, and 3 knobs) to the same key. Not only was he finished re-keying all the locks in less than 20 minutes, he did it right (unlike my landlord's key person). Before Key Express came, my old key never worked right anyways without jiggling it in the lock but after they were done my new key turns smoothly. The price was a little higher because it was an emergency re-key but I know I got what I paid for. These locks never have worked so well. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

TERRIBLE. ON DAY ONE, HE FORGOT HALF HIS MATERIALS. TWO DAYS LATER, WHEN HE WAS SUPPOSE TO FINISH THE JOB, HE DIDN'T SHOW UP AND DIDN'T CALL. THE THIRD TIME, HE DIDN'T SHOW UP, DIDN'T CALL. I HAD TO CALL THE BOSS REPEATEDLY JUST TO GET THE GUY OUT TO FINISH THE JOB. THE SUPERVISOR I TALKED TO WAS RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. I HAD TO REALLY GET ON HIM JUST TO GET HIM TO SEND SOMEONE TO FINISH THE JOB (THIS IS AFTER TWO NO SHOWS WITH NO CALL). I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
