Excellent. Jose was a pleasure to work with. Arrived for the quote on time. Then after a delay on my part, Jose came through by starting the job in less than a week. Finished the granite in one day and the backsplash the next. The process could not have gone easier and more smoothly. Will recommend Granite-Zone to anyone interested, and will be using them again when we buy our new home.

They did work for me in 2012 and there was issues on my previous review. I needed another house to get similar work done and I got a quote from Jose instead of the person I contacted before. They gave a price and I went with their contractor to get the granite slabs selected. When we tried to confirm the date of installation the price went up. I ended up choosing other people to do the job.

Everything with Granite-Zone went great. Jose & the other workers were on time to our appointments and did great work. Our new countertops & backsplash (and undermount sink) look amazing! The entire process was smooth and easy. Specifically, Jose is very professional and did a good job of giving us options and advice without being overly pushy. He is knowledgable and was quick to respond to emails, calls, or texts whenever we had a question. He also followed up with us to make sure that everything turned out just the way we wanted. We would definitely use them again. Also - their prices were excellent!

The entire process went very smoothly. Jose is great to work with - very responsive, courteous, professional and punctual. From our initial meeting to the installation was only 2-3 weeks. His crew was very professional and stayed on task throughout the day. The entire installation took only 2 days. I couldn't be happier with my new kitchen - a big improvement from the old '80's blue tile that I had before. I will definitely refer Granite Zone to all of my family and friends. Thanks Jose for a great job!!!

This contractor was great to work with. We got an excellent result at a bargain price. There was a minor issue in the installation of the granite counter tops, but the contractor resolved it. The contractor acknowledged that there was a change in the installation plan, explained the reason for it, and went beyond our expectations to ensure our happiness with both the result and the final price. We would use the contractor again and would recommend them to others.

Everything went beautifully! One of the tops had been cut incorrectly so they immediately called Jose with the problem. It was decided they would return to the shop, recut a new top and return the same afternoon to install. I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome.

I found Granite-Zone on Angie's List. We are remodeling our master bath and this is the only part our contractor doesn't do. I called with questions and they were very informative over the phone. I asked if we could bring the tile for our floor and shower to select our granite. They assured me they would be happy to help us with our selection. With their assistance we were able to select a beautiful piece of granite for our bathroom. When our contractor was ready for them to measure I called Granite-Zone and spoke with Jose. He scheduled to come on Monday. Jose was on time and discussed the specifics with our contractor. Jose said they were about two weeks out on installations, but he would try to work us in faster if he could. He called back to say he and his crew would be at our house the next week. Jose and his guys did a beautiful job on the install and we love the color. Granite-Zone was very competitive in price and exceeded our expectations in customer service. I will call them again when we remodel our guest bathroom!

For one thing, Jose was always on time. From the time of the quote, what ever crew came - they were always on time. He had the advantage of being the 3rd bid, so by then I had an idea of what price range I was looking for. No disrespect to the other guys, but if you are bid # 1 or bid # 2, best to put your best effort up front, as the bids that follow have the advantage and can lower their price. Bid # 1 just gave me a total number, I had no idea how many square feet that was, or how many slabs, or what the material cost would be for the back splash. To me, there were no hidden or extra costs I appreciated that he had some slabs at his work location. I did have the option to go to an alternate site to pick out something else, but it was there. He also has a physical shop, not just a contractor who gets supplies from the wholesale suppliers for granite and stone. I liked Jose's calm and low-key personality, not a pushy salesman. For me, nothing turns me off, then an aggressive, or over-assertive sales person. Due to the cold and rainy weather they did have to use the garage to cut the back splash, and the dust from the cutting got into the house from the door opening and closing from measuring and cutting. That night at midnight my hard-wired smoke detectors went off - throughout the house. The fireman had to come to check, and removed ALL detectors in the house. In the end, it was time to change out those detectors anyway, but if you have newer detectors, get those plastic covers for them to prevent them from damaging a sensor. IF you do need to change your smoke detectors which I learned was to be done every 7 years, then do it AFTER the granite, back splash or dust from the upgrade. In the end, having to change the detectors was a good thing to go with the new upgrade. Overall happy.

It went great! I called Jose and explained that I needed a hole drilled to install a water faucet for an under counter water filter to be installed by a plumber. Jose quoted a price that was $90 less than another quote I received. I sent him a picture of my counter and the faucet to be installed. He told me he could be at my house in 30 minutes. It was actually quicker than that. He drilled the hole and cleaned up after himself. It was awesome! Since he was located in Carrollton, the entire process took less than an hour. I will definitely use Granite Zone again and highly recommend them!

From the start it went very terrific! Jose was very prompt and professional. He showed up on time to measure the areas mentioned above. He was very knowledgeable about the product, installation process, different options, what design issues I may want to consider. The next day as promised, I received an email with the estimate as he promised. We went back and forth mostly due to the choice of the granite on our part. We had to see him one Sunday due to my schedule and he was very accommodating since they were not open that day (which I really appreciate given my very busy schedule at work). He was very patient with the different alternatives we were considering. Ultimately, we decided to get Absolute Black and a fairly exotic granite for our master called Typhoon (something, I forgot the name). Once I committed to the products, he was very proactive about immediately scheduling me on the calendar. Again, due to my schedule, I asked for a Saturday install and he worked diligently to accommodate. The installation happened in 2 parts. First part was the kitchen, it went flawlessly. They arrived on time, put paper and tape over the hardwood floors. Took them the entire day as planned. It looked great! When they were done with the kitchen, I asked that they take out the counter top in the master bathroom and come back the following week to install the granite. However, due to some delays (since we replace cabinets), we had to not postpone the installation to another week. All this time, I kept in touch with Jose via email and text messaging. He continued to take care of my questions and scheduling dilemna. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Granite Zone. All around a great experience. Thank you Granite Zone.

My parents had just completed a full kitchen remodel where they replaced their Silestone kitchen countertops with granite countertops. I was able to recover pieces of the Silestone countertops to use in my own kitchen. I had more than enough Silestone for my kitchen, so the amount of material was not an issue. After searching through Angie's list, I found Granite-Zone, which was already highly rated. I contacted them along with six other contractors about replacing my current countertops with the recovered Silestone. Three responded back. One had forwarded my request to another sub-contractor that didn't contact me. Another contractor contacted me and stated she could do the work, but said she would have to get back to me about scheduling a quote. Jose from Granite-Zone responded quickly was able to immediately set up a date for a quote. Jose showed up on-time for the quote and was very professional. I had the pieces prepared and he measured each one against my countertop area. He provided a quote of $680, which seemed very reasonable for the work. We then set a day for the installation. All the pieces were retrieved by another employee. On installation day, Jose returned with two other workers and the cut pieces. They laid down a protective cover for the floor. The installation went smooth and I really didn't have to do anything except inspect it at the end. The quality of the installation was great and it looked like brand new material. The only real issue that came up was after Jose had left, I realized that a hole for the air-gap had not been drilled behind the sink. To be fair, I didn't even notice it myself when I was looking it over. However, as soon as I called Jose he apologized and said he would come to drill the hole. He arrived about two hours later and drilled the hole. Also, just FYI, they do not do plumbing work. This was told to me up front and was fine with it. I would definitely recommend Granite-Zone or Jose. In fact, I'm already thinking about having them do other work for my bathroom.

Jose Villegas, Granite-Zone was very helpful in assisting us in the selection and ordering of the tile. Unfortunately the tile selected was on backorder from MSI, requiring a 3 week wait. Jose followed up and kept us informed. Finally the order arrived at MSI, he picked it up and and scheduled installation the following Monday morning. Jose and the installer arrived on time. Jose went over with my wife how the tile will be installed, confirming with her how the various details would be implemented. Next they immediately prepared the area and begin installing tile, by 2:30pm the job was done. Afterwards the kitchen was left clean. Jose returned the next morning to seal the tile. This is a fine company and working with Jose Villegas has been a pleasant experience.

The whole process took several days to shop several granite vendors and finally select the actual granite slab to be used. Granite-Zone's sales repr. Jose Villegas was recommended by the supplier (MSI). Jose Villegas was very professional and a good communicator. He kept is informed as to the process and coordinated his schedule with our cabinet installers to minimize any slack time. The next day after the cabinets were ready, he and is crew arrived. Installation took half a day, they cleaned up afterwards. Very satisfied with their work.

I had received an estimate from another 'big box' store and was floored by the price, but thought that was what I was going to have to spend. The contractor at the time, told me to call these Granite Zone and have them estimate it. I really thought we were getting an OK price with the big box because they had all these end of fiscal year and sales going on. So I didn't think they could beat the price. They came in and estimated $3000 less than the big box store. I was sold. In the estimate, it did say that certain edges were included. One of theses 'edges' was waterfall. I looked up waterfall online and it looked like an OGEE edge... I couldn't believe that an edge like that was included in the price. Turns out, their waterfall edge, isn't the OGEE looking waterfall edge it is just a swoop down. A little misleading in the title. As time got closer we called and set up an appointment to see the slabs. There was a little miscommunication as we showed up for the showing...but the sales guy did not. Soon another guy came and showed us all the slabs. It was VERY important to pick out the slabs because they all look different and the 'design' we wanted in some of the slabs had veins running through it. Picked out the slabs for the granite. Everything went seamless from there. When the cabinets were put in, they came out and measured and a week later installed. The installation was fabulous. We weren't here the whole time, but our painters said they had trouble with a seam in the bar. You wouldn't know it. It is perfect! Looks gorgeous and just what I imagined. Even with the hiccups and having to pay extra for the OGEE edge I really wanted, we still saved a huge amount and are extremely happy with the results.

I was referred to this company by Daltile. I went to Daltile looking for Marble counters. I saw something that I was going to purchase, Daltile gave me this companies card. I called the fabricator, he came out to take measurements and give me a price. I told him I wanted to build a cabinet prior to installing the marble. He said he had a company that could do a great job. That same noght I received a called at 8 p.m. the gentleman came out and measured and gave me a price of $200.00, I was happy and ordered the cabinet. The cabinet was then dropped off at my house by the cainet maker. I asked about the installation and was told the fabricator would install the cabinet. I found this all strange, but I was told they work together. Within a day or two the marble fabricator came to my house wiht a helper, they took the cabint upstairs. The When the cabinet was completed Granite Zone fabricator told me he had to put the cabinet in place to make the templete for the stone counters, I said that is great. I returned to my home office to work. All I could hear was hammering and banging. When I got upstairs the cabinet was in the corner, my vanity light was sideways, and the existing counters had been hammered apart and in pieces with jagged edges. the cabinet was way to big and did not fit correctly. I told he he needed to take the cabinet and get if fixed. It ended really badly. I had to hire an electrician to re-connect my light fixture and I had to hire someone to install my cabinet. I saved no money it only cost me moneym tme and stress to work with this company.

I am quite the taskmaster when spending this kind of money --not because I'm mean but because I nervous! The work has got to be right. Granite Zone was about my 3rd or 4th company when researching. Before I'd completely committed to tackling countertops, I met with Noe and asked a thousand questions, requesting about as many quotes on stone "patterns." He was quite patient. Perhaps he was just doing his job but he walked me through the entire process. I told him horror stories of friends' kitchens gone wrong and he addressed each concern. He was attentive, punctual, professional, and his costs were good. He never oversold his service --when I asked about plumbing he told me his guys were not plumbers and I'd need to call someone to do the work correctly. Like many homeowners, once the project was underway, I added additional work. He was great. The first crew did an excellent job with the slab, mounting and bracing a behemoth sink and lining up the air gap just so. Regarding service, the night before the slab install Noe even returned one of my panicked calls about the work to take place the next morning. The second crew did excellent stone work. They even worked around the plumber who came responding to the whatever-can-go-wrong drain issue --we, as homeowners, were out of our depth. Regarding pleasing the customer, there was one stone at eye level, in a 10' wall of stones, it bothered me --I knew I'd hate it for the next 20 yrs. The crew removed that one stone and replaced it so that I wouldn't have to look at the wall and see nothing but that one stone. Regarding the business side of the transaction, there was an error on my final bill. I sent a late night email pointing it out. The bill was adjusted by 9a.m. the next morning. Whatever stonework I need in the future, I'll start with Granite Zone. And yes, I've already passed along their info to a neighbor who saw the workmen and asked for a recommendation.

WONDRFUL EXPERIENCE!! From setting the initial appointment to the final details, Jose was professional, on time, thorough and any other positive adjectives I can use. He worked diligently to make sure every aspect of the job went according to plan. His installation crew arrived on schedule, were professional and did a great job. The following day, the tile crew arrived on schedule and installed the tile backsplash. They also did a great job. Jose and his crews pay attention to details and the final outcome certainly show that strong work ethic. The countertops are beautiful. Even though we are in Fort Worth, Jose drove from Carrollton each day to make sure we were happy with each stage of installation. No surprise upcharges. Great job, super company. We are very happy we chose Jose and Granite-Zone for our countertops. Highly recommended.

Mr Villegas came to our home and provided samples, made suggestions for the granite, edge treatement and backsplash. We selected the granite. Mr Villegas and an assistant brought it to our house, performed the selected edge work and installed the granite. Because our kitchen is in a 'C' shape, matching the edges of each granite slab is extremely important. Mr. Villegas was a master at all aspects of the process. He did an outstanding job and we are very pleased with his work

The first thing went wrong is the L shape was off 1/2" on one side and they want to cut sheetrock to fit I asked him made change on other less noticed side and still have a gap maybe 3/8". I made a deal with them to pay more to get backsplash to cover the gap. The second thing want wrong was later I found the master bath room countop had a small crack closed the holes for faucet. And they never told me until I found out myself and first they tried to use epoxy to fixed it and late they agreed to change the piece. After one piece was replaced two pieces next each other looks different color. I had to stop my second check to make them agreed to switch both pieces to make it looks right. Finally it is a happy ending.
Description of Work: Their price is better than most of others and plus I can get one piece L shape instead of two pieces in the kitchen. I need three pieces count top in the kitchen and five pieces in all four bathrooms. One under mount sink is in kitchen and seven under mount sinks are in bathrooms. I provide all the sinks myself.
