My wife called me at work on December 21 of last year to let me know that the toilets and drains were backing up in the house. We usually use Angie's list for most of our home services, with usually good success. I looked on Angie's list for a plumber in the Lewisville/Highland Village area and saw that C&W plumbing was a highly rated company for plumbing. I called and asked if they would send out a plumber to give an estimate for the cost for repairing the apparent clog causing the backup. The plumber arrived and estimated it would cost around 600.00 to unclog the drain. We gave the approval and he started the work. After having no success in finding an outside clean out, he went to the roof and tried to unclog using the vent pipes. After working several hours he told my wife he would need to take the toilets out and try from there, but it would cost another 190.00 to remove and replace the toilets. We reluctantly agreed thinking it was up to them to give an accurate estimate of costs in the first place. The plumber was finally able to unclog the drain, and used a camera on the end of a plumbers snake to identify the problem. There was a break in the sewer line by the street, and ultimately the pipe would need to be repaired. He then gave us an estimate of $5500.00 if they were to repair the broken pipe. He said his clean out repair should last for a little while, but the repair would need to be made soon. When I arrived home that night I noticed that in one of the bathrooms there were deep scratches in the floor tile around the toilet, where he had set his machine to clean out the sewer line. The scratches were very obvious, but the plumber had said nothing before leaving. The next day my wife noticed the toilet was leaking around the seal in the floor whenever you flushed the toilet. When I called to advise them of the leak and the deep scratches, they arranged to send a different plumber to reseal the toilet and inspect the tile. They agreed to refund the additional 193.00 they charged for taking out the toilets, and to redo the work of sealing the toilet for no charge. I was very disappointed the original plumber would not have said anything about the deep scratches, as I am sure he would have had to notice. As far as the estimate for repairing the broken line. I found another plumber that repaired the break , and installed two outside clean outs for $2000.00, so less than half of what they estimated.

They showed up to see why our toilets were backing up. At first they recommended that we we buy higher quality toilets to solve the problem. I requested that they run a camera through the sewer line in spite of the initial recommendation. The guy was professional and did that. We did find a few low points and a possible crack in the line near the clean outs. When he was trying to get all the way to the city line he ran into a problem. He could not get his camera through. He spent a good amount of time trying to get the camera through there. He finally got the camera through. He told us that he didn't see anything wrong with our sewer lines. Yet, ever since he "got through" to see the city line we have not had any more issues with our lines. I think that we had some sort of blockage at the end of our line. The plumber cleared it in an attempt to get his camera down there. He told us that our sewer system needed some repairs. He gave us a variety of quotes from the simplest sewer repair all the way up the replacing the whole line. It seems that replacing the toilets didn't seem to be an issue anymore. They never quoted those as one of the needed repairs even though that was the initial diagnosis. As I said early we haven't any problems since he was here. I think the work that they performed was fair and well done. I do feel like they didn't have a real diagnosis for the problem but found a bunch of expensive worked that "needed" to be done. They also tried to sell some sort of service plan. It seems like they were working very hard to sell me stuff. The technician was as much a sales person as he was a repair person.

The plumber was clean, well mannered, and dressed properly. He knew his stuff and he was professional and on time.

About 2 weeks ago, we noticed the sound of running water in our master bath pipes. I called AHS given we had a home warranty with them. They send a plumber out that verified it was an under slab leak. AHS had a limit on how much they would pay to fix it, so they just mailed me a checkand left it open to me to use whomever I wanted to. I didn't feel comfortable with the AHS plumber. They gave me a rough estimate, but I didnt feel they really exactly located the leak location and I was concerned they would just start digging and the costs would add up. I called C&W Plumbing having used them before. Steve, their tech, arrived on time and was very professional. He spend time to accurately locate the leak and show me what he was doing and explain what he was doing. He provided me with an estimate that was very similar to the first company, but with Steve, i felt he knew exactly what he was doing. It rained the next day, so they arrived the following morning and started the work. They did exactly what they said they would do, they cleaned up nicely and there was no suprise in the price. Overall, while it was an expensive repair, i was very happy with the outcome.

I called the provider about a leaky exterior faucet (steady leak). They sent Jason out that afternoon. Jason was very informative and very professional. He outlined what complications he might run into given the age of the property, and outlined what the cost would be under each circumstance. Best case he was out of there in 15 minutes, worst case he was there for the hour and tearing out brick. Unfortunately for both of us (my wallet and his evening as I was his last call for the day), it turned out the builder of the house had not done the job correctly and it was the more difficult of the scenarios presented. Since he had explained in such detail before hand, I was completely prepared for it. It did seem a bit pricey for an hours work (without anything to compare it to), but I don't regret the call and would call them again.

Doug was courteous, explained in detail what was needed, showed me camera shots, and repaired problem. Price was as quoted. I trust this company's work and have not ever had a bad experience.

Needed a wax seal replaced on my toilet. They wouldn't quote over the phone. They were very polite on the phone. When they showed up, they were on-time, polite and professional. Unfortunately, the price they quoted was well above the going rate (based this on calls to other licensed plumbers). Due to this high price, I did not have them complete the work. They didn't charge me a service charge. My only complaint is on the cost and quoting method. This approach of quoting on-site makes be believe they have a higher conversion/approval (the customer says to go ahead and do the work) rate based on the tech being on-site.

Wonderful! He saved us a TON of money because the new buyer was requiring a pan under the hot water heater (which was grandfathered in under Code because it was not required at the time of original installation). Other plumbing companies contacted were requiring a different pan and increasing the price drastically. I would highly recommend this company, and if they will come out to Jack County, I will definitely use them again!!! In fact, I have started recommending them to my friends and family that live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

My experience with CandW Plumbing was very satisfactory. The work was performed in a professional manner and the work site was left clean. From dispatch to field, employees were polite, patient, and very helpful. I heighly recommend CandW Plumbing.

Very well. Very professional and friendly and upfront. No manipulative shenanigans. A bit pricy, but I don't have to wonder if they did a quality job or not. I feel confident with these people.

Overall the experience with the company was excellent. The company was professional, upfront, and ontime. I will use them everytime I have a plumbing issue in the future.

C and W plumbing sent out a man name Vince. He was very professional and knowledgeable about his work. He fixed the problem we were having with the plumbing and instructed us on how to prevent this problem in the future. I will definitely recommend C and W plumbing and I will ask for Vince.

We purchased a foreclosed house, and the person who was working on window coverings thought she smelled gas over the stove. I called C&W and they came out within hours. They detected the leak using soapy water to see if it bubbled. The technician was professional and efficient, and they even took an Angie's list coupon!

The gentleman they sent out was very pleasant and thorough. He was prompt, and they were able send within the same day of my call. I really liked how upfront and straightforward they were with their prices. I would use their service again.

The experience did not start off well. The scheduled arrival was between 10 and 10:30, but the plumber (Steve) arrived about Noon. However, I can accept the late arrival since they did call and notify me. The reason for the service call was because my drain pan had overflowed. When Steve(the plumber) arrived I expressed my concern about the pan overflowing again and he told me to use a coat hanger to open the valve. I would have been much better if he had offered to fix this minor issue rather than telling me how to fix it. The valve wouldn't open so I had to bail water out of the pan while he got the quote together. He did look at my other faucets etc to look for other problems. While I appreciate the free inspection, I got the feeling he was more interested in generating more business from the call rather than solving my problem. When I got the quote the quote they gave me a total cost. I requested a rough break out of the tank cost and he told me it was company policy to provide the total cost. I told him this was not a customer friendly policy and he went on to tell me how I was wrong and this was standard in the industry etc. etc. etc.. At this point I felt held hostage. I wanted to more information on how the pricing was arrived at, but he wouldn't provide it. However, I would also like to get Hot water back in my house ASAP so, I gave him my Angie's list coupon for the free service visit and agreed to the pricing so I could get the repairs started. When the service was completed he gave me the invoice, but the service call fee had not been removed. When I mentioned that I had given him the coupon for this portion he told remembered me mentioning it, but he didn't remember getting the coupon. I reminded him that I gave it to him and he wrote something on it. Again he told me that he didn't remember receiving it. At this point I am getting frustrated and feel that he is accusing me of not providing the coupon. It is a minor issue, but gives the picture of his approach to the whole visit. He quick to argue, but slow to listed. Not a customer friendly approach. Eventually he found the coupon and took it off the bill. My expectation on this type of service is that the good quality work will be done and that I will be treated in a respectful manner. The qualify of the work was good, but the plumber was not professional and did not treat me in a respectful manner. I also contacted the owner of the company to discuss the issue I had with the Plumber. He did apologize for the situation he didn't even mention talking to his employee about how to improve his approach customers until I brought it up. I was disappointed with this call as well. To be fair I need to mention that the quality of the work was good and my friends experience with another plumber (Sam) from C&W was good. However, I cannot recommend this company because of the way they treated me on this visit.

We found a leak in the master bathroom and called the home warranty company and they dispatched a company to fix the leak. They discovered that it wasn't a "leak" but that the piping was incorrectly installed and, therefore, not covered under the home warranty. They self scheduled themselves to come back on Wednesday to finalize the repairs. My daughter, who is living at the house, did not care for the guys that worked on the leak and did not appreciate that they scheduled themselves to finish the job. So, we checked on Angie's List and came up with C&W Plumbing. They came out the next day and took care of the problem. The plumber was very courteous and did a great job. The only issue we had was the price, since it was double what the other company quoted to fix the problem. Of course, the other company may have ended up being as high. There is no way of knowing for sure.

Great. New hydrant doesnt leak, completed the job on time and for the estimate given. Will use them again.

I liked them, but I felt their cost was too high. They were good otherwise, but I just couldn’t afford the price. I decided not to use them.
