We had called to get a quote to replace our outside air conditioning unit and made an appointment for Air Advent to come out. Cris McCown was our Retrofit Comfort Consultant. He was very nice, informative, knowledgeable and punctual. We felt like he geninuely cared about getting the best unit for the size of our house while working within our budget. Cris was very patient in answering all of our questions. The pad that our existing unit was sitting on had sunk into the ground and was too small for the new unit, we were able to replace that as well. We also had a hole in the ceiling by our heating unit inside the house and we asked about getting that repaired, as my husband had knee replacement surgery in Feb. and was unable to climb up into our attic to fix it. Air Advent repaired that too! They also updated our breaker box outside and put a vent cover over the pipes going into the house; they just brought everything up to code. Cris also informed us that the city of Flower Mound requires us to get a permit for our outside air conditioning unit. This was something we were not aware of. We had gotten another quote earlier that week from another company and they never mentioned the permit. Cris set up the appointment with the city to come out and inspect our unit for the permit, we did not have to worry about that. After the inspection, Cris stopped by and did a follow-up visit to make sure we passed our inspection and that all was up to code. We passed our inpsection with flying colors. Cris also wanted to know how everything was going after the new unit was installed. All of this was rolled in to our price, the ac unit, permit, repair on the ceiling, bringing everything up to code and good customer service. Wow, what a great deal. Air Advent also carries dIfferent brands of ac units. They carry Trane and Carrier, we purchased a Carrier. If you need an ac unit or need an ac unit repair, we would highly recommend using Air Advent.

All work was perform as described in the contract. The teams were punctual, professional and easy to work with from the start to the finish. We are very pleased to recommend Advent Air to our friends and family for their A/C and Heating needs.

It went very well. I had them replace 2 complete systems about 5 years ago, and have had them do my annual spring and summer A/C system checks each year since. While they may not be the lowest cost provider, they are definitely worth the few extra dollars. They provided 2 full crews when they installed the systems. They were very clean cut, professional and tidy. They took the time to explain each and every part of the process. For a fairly major job, it went as smoothly as can be expected. During a subsequent seasonal inspection, they found a problem that they determined to be a manufacturing defect and that one of the heating systems needed to be replaced. They said it should be covered by the manufactures warranty. They came back and said that the manufacturer was claiming I should pay for part of the repair. I said I wanted to wait to replace the system until I was sure what the warranty would and would not cover, and that I should not have to pay any out of pocket costs. Especially since I had the extended warranty. They agreed and said it needed to be replaced soon, and that the fight with the manufacturer should be theirs and not mine. So, they replaced it quickly and they worked on the issue with the manufacturer and I did not pay any additional costs. They were very proactive and dealt with this issue in a manner that was above board and very professional. I have recommended them to neighbors and friends who used them and are also happy.

When I called and explained my situation after I had paid someone a $40 service fee who had no idea what he was doing, Advent took the model number over the phone to make sure they could service it. The gentleman who came had the service manual and quickly found the problem. He showed me the Freon leak with a detector and explained that the adapter put on by the AC guy who installed the unit a year before used the wrong adapter which caused the leak. He explained what needed to be done - evacuating what was left of the Freon, replacing the adapter, then recharging the unit. $455 plus $80 for the diagnostic. He was here maybe for an hour - no part replacement, just some Freon. I was so appreciative that someone knew how to work on the unit and correct the problem that I paid it. What got me is when I expressed my chagrin at the price, he said that was the lowest amount of labor he could charge. Wow, I only paid 900 for the unit.

One of my furnaces stopped working, and I was unable to repair it myself, this time. It was bitter cold out, so I had to call for help right away. The technician came to the house after hours (Saturday), and diagnosed the problem. However, it is an old furnace, so he had to order a part on Monday. The part arrived on Tuesday, and the technician returned to install it. it works fine, now. The price seemed a bit high to me, but I can't back that up -- just seemed high. He also tried to sell me things i didn't want, but he wasn't pushy about it, so I'm okay with that.

The installation of a Carrier system went very well. It was completed in 2 days and we weren't without heat on first night, which was a blessing. Their bid was very competitive and service was exceptional. Their process is to do energy and air flow assessment and bid the job accordingly. The men who installed were excellent also. They did some minor damage to the ceiling when installing one of the return air vents, but had a company come to touch up this area. The touch up company did such a good job, that hey did some other dry wall repair while they were here. The comfort consultant, Jeff Sutherland and sales manager, Dan Leising,inspired confidence in us. We are VERY picky about who works on our house, too. Cost wise, they did much more in duct work and better system, than another bid. Not only more duct work and labor, they were thousands less than competitor with a generic brand. This was great value for us.

I called the company on Tuesday and scheduled an appointment for 4:00 on Thursday to have them come out to look into an error code we were receiving on our Trane HVAC system. I left work early to ensure I was home to meet the tech. At 4:30 on Thursday afternoon, I received a message from their office requesting I call them back to confirm I was home to meet the tech. I returned the call within 5 minutes and spoke to a representative in their office. She informed me that we were "the next call" and that she would inform the tech that we were home and would be there to meet them. The tech never showed up and no one from the company contacted us to let us know that they would not be able to perform the service. Basically, I wasted most of the afternoon and evening waiting for them to show up. In the meantime, our system is still not working and I will now have to call another firm to come out and perform the service.

Outstanding service. Chris the retrofit consultant was outstanding, very professional easy to deal with very informative with helpful advice. He supplied us with a window unit for our bedroom and followed up on everything. Install techs did a very good job also. Will use this company again.

They are responsive to our calls. They do very good work. I have had an AC unit and furnace replaced 10 years ago and I have had zero problems with it. The only negative to comment is I would not install an inline humidifiers.

I called Advent in the morning and was able to have someone out the same afternoon! While my issue certainly wasn't urgent, I was trying to group multiple service providers together in the same time slot so I didn't have to take more time from work. They were more than accomodating and even gave me a call 1 hour ahead to allow me time to get from work. When the technician arrived he was very professional. I would absolutely use them again.

We were looking for a good heating and air conditioning company to handle our twice a year system check-up. I found Advent Air Conditioning on Angies List. They had great ratings so we decided to give them a try. We weren't disappointed! The call to their office was handled very professionally and all my questions answered fully before scheduling the appointment. The technician was on-time and very thorough. He too answered all of my questions and made some excellent (and cost effective) recommendations to correct some minor issues which in turn has helped the air conditioning system work more efficiently. Advent will be returning to our home to do a check-up on our heating system in the Fall. I would definitely recommend them.

I was expecting an attempt to service my A/C problem as it was 102 degrees in Dallas today. the Technician simply provided an invoice that stated the problem. I was aware of the problem as I had been watching water exit the overflow drains for past three days . The problem was he could not access the drains associated with the issue. His recommendation were related to make his job easier for access to the drains. associated with the drainage. He then advised the condensation coil in my air condition system had to be reversed for access. .I placed a call to other area contractors and was advised this type of coil could be installed in two positions and if it had been installed incorrectly it would not have not worked for 5 years. They also advised it would have been necessary for him to look at the coil to determine if was causing problems. He left without providing service rather than the invoice copy stating above consultants would visit my premises to provide an estimate of the cost related to problem. "Please note that it would take a third visit before any action could be taken to resolve a simple issue." I was told when I talked to the telephone contact for Advent Air that their trucks carried parts to resolve most problems on the customers premises. This was the reason I called them. .They could and would resolve my issues I feel after reading the material provided with the visit that Advent is more interested in providing contracts than services.

Brought in two crews to get it done in one day,which they did. They were here on time and got right to work. They answered all my questions as the day went on.They did a great installation,would highly recommend.Chris,the service consultant even came by to make sure that everything was to my satisfaction.Great company,will use again in the future.

I called Friday afternoon 07/12. I informed the scheduler that I was calling them because they had done the installation of my outside unit a several years earlier had had found them on Angies website. James arrived within several minutes. He performed some diagnostics but informed me the coils were frozen and couldn't go any further. He said that he set the fan to 'on' and thermostat to 'off' defrost coils. He told me wait a couple of hours then set the thermostat to 'cold'. If I still didn't feel cold air from vent should call the dispatcher back. They are on call 24/7. He honored my Angies coupon. I asked if I would be charged another service call. He I would but that I could use another Angies coupon. After several hours I set the thermostat to cool but still an hour later the vent were blowing cold air. I called dispatch and asked for another visit the next morning. They said they couldn't get back to me until the next early afternoon. Tony arrived about 2:30. I showed the report from James and my Angies coupon. He performed diagnostics, cleaned my inner vents. Went outside and removed panels from outside unit. I saw how the inner coils were clogged with mud and old vines. He cleaned all mud and vines off coils and blades reassembled outside checked Freon. He then wrote up an estimate on what Freon I needed and what the cost would be ( I found this very helpful). He then filled up with Freon. He showed me the receipt and to my surprise he didn't charge me for the second diagnostic visit but just for the work he did. I found both servicemen to be very honest and professional. I am very happy with Advent. I know I was in position that a could of be taken advantage of but wasn't. I am glad I joined Angies.

It went very well techs showed up on time @7 am put on the little booties and put down plastic so they did not track dirtin or out of the house. They removed the old unit and installed the new one. The were done around 6pm

I selected Advent over two other companies based on the outstanding technical skills and attention to detail provided by the consultant, Chris, who came to the house to make a proposal. His exploratory work to analyze the home's cooling needs was quite comprehensive, and included careful inspection of insulation, windows, existing vents, duct work, breaker box, and electrical wiring (for Wi-Fi connection on new thermostat). All this was used to calculate the load calculation (which he did a great job of explaining). He printed three proposals (low, mid, high-level systems) on his computer/printer before his visit ended - very impressive! To further questions I had subsequent to his visit, Chris researched his answers, and responded timely either by email or phone. The crew that installed the system was prompt, courteous, professional, and worked diligently all day. During installation, some ceiling screws came lose and poked through the drywall. Advent sent VIP Services to repair the drywall - great job! Being a discriminating consumer that values a company that is meticulous to detail and very service-oriented, I would highly recommend Advent.

Crew was very punctual, thorough and clean. They fully explained what they were doing and answered all questions.

Awesome response and service by Advent - I can't recommend them enough. Our A/C stopped cooling yesterday, during the hottest week yet this month. I called first thing this morning and even though their schedule was already full, they squeezed me in and arrived here by 10am! The technician quickly diagnosed the issue, had the part with him, and replaced it within 30 minutes. This is the level of service we receive EVERY time we call them. The Service Department team is always pleasant and the technicians are timely, call in advance, and are very professional.

I called back at 8:00 AM when their offices opened and they told me that they had already scheduled a tech to show up at 12:00 noon today. He quickly found the problem (a blown capacitor in the outside unit). He had it fixed and tested in a little over 30 minutes. We will continue to use them for our ongoing maintenance service and needed repairs. Their service personnel are very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Working with their office staff is a pleasure in getting work scheduled.

I have used Advent several times previously and have been remiss in not reviewing them before now. All of the technicians that have come out before have been fantastic. Chris came out yesterday and replaced a dead run capacitor that was preventing the compressor from kicking on. As I have come to expect from Advent, he was courteous, punctual, and did a great job. I have used a number of other A/C repair services in the past and have always felt that they either put on the hard sell for something I didn't need or were just generally untrustworthy. I have never felt that from Advent. They always explain everything and don't try to push anything on you. I highly recommend Advent.

Showed up on schedule for appointment to provide estimate. Left quotes for multiple options, and followed up with e-mail and voice mail when I had questions. The quotes were in sort of an odd format, which made determining what the final price would be a bit confusing.

I would give this company an A+ if Angie's List would let me, after being seriously let down by another company, they were able to have a service technician, and salesman to my door all after 5pm to pick up the slack of the other company, this Monday I have a fantastic new outside unit, and my dining room and 1/2 bath are finally getting some air flow, I will never use another company again, Advent or Nothing! I can not explain how well this company did at winning me after after the lackluster experience of the other company, I was really impressed!

A very positive experience overall, I will use this company again and will recommend them based on this experience.

I had really good experience. The price was good, I was quoted 2000 for York by another, for the same price I got variable speed carrier with 10 year warranty. They were on time, fixed it up and professionally cleaned it up. My attic door seem to close better than before. They also made appointment with city inspector and passed inspection.

He came sooner than he estimated he would be able to, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it.It was shorted out wires in the furnace part. This is the second time I have used them for after-hours service on my a/c - different problems each time. I am VERY satisfied with their service.
