Description of Work: We have used Advent for a long time. We have chosen to use their maintenance service where they routinely tune up our a/c and heating units and replace our filters. Very happy with them.

Description of Work: I bought a fall/spring service inspection package, as well as installation of AC surge protectors for the inside and outside components. All went well, and I'm very happy with the service.

Description of Work: Checked the efficiency of the furnace which indicated the filter was being plugged by a fine grey dust. Tech did not know or could not locate the source of the dust, just replace the filter. After checking Google, learned quickly the source of the grey powder was nothing more than vapor moisturizer.

Description of Work: After my heating unit quit during a sub-freezing front, I called Advent where Donna said the earliest appointment available was the following afternoon. I asked that my request for earlier service be considered if a cancellation occurred. In only a half hour, Donna called to say a technician was now available and would arrive in a short time. Praimesh Ganesh arrived on schedule and ran a test which showed the blower motor was "locked." Although this heating system was about 19 years old, Mr. Ganesh did not recommend a replacement; instead, he said the system was in good condition but needed the motor replaced which he did in short order. He soon had the heater working in what should have been his overtime. I was not charged for the overtime. My charges were $72.00 for diagnosis plus $454.75 for the replacement parts for a total of $526.75. The system has continued to work flawlessly since. Although the system is almost two decades old, there was never a suggestion that I purchase another, only a recommendation that the faulty parts be replaced. Although this was an opportunity for a "hard sell," there was no hint of such. Summation: Unbeatable response in a semi-crisis, high professionalism, no hard sell even though there was ample opportunity for one. Another plus: initially, I chose to call Advent because the company website shows 24-7 service available.. I heartily recommend Advent Air Conditioning.

Description of Work: Advent came for the Spring check-up which is covered under the service contract. They found a capacitor that was out of specification. It was replaced and I was charged $160 for the part. The exact same part at Lowes is $7.

Description of Work: Checked systems and made repairs. Explained everything as he went along and was very informative and thorough. Cleaned after his work. We were very satisfied, have used them before and will continue to use them.

Description of Work: I read the reviews and was impressed so I called them to come out and give me an estimate. Cris the salesman was prompt and very thorough and went over all our options, the price was fair and had them install the complete system. The tech Miguel and his helper were prompt and very polite and cleaned up aft wards. I'm extremely happy with my new unit and its super quite. Will highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Our AC went out and Advent came out to diagnose the problem. We were charged 80.00 and told this would be credited to our new system. Advent told us that we needed a new unit and it could not be repaired. The exact words were repairing the current unit would cost as much as a new unit. Another AC company was called and repaired the unit we now have. We did not spend the estimated 4000.00; we spent 500.00 with the other company.

Description of Work: I requested an estimate for a new system. I did need a new 3ton 16 seer unit and this company quoted me one that was $2000 higher than the company I chose. Way outrages.
