Andre Appliance was one of the few places I called that actually serviced LG. Gary the repairman was friendly and took the time to explain what he was doing. I also liked that he or the office would call before showing up, which made coordinating my day easier. I would definitely use Andre Appliance again.
Description of Work: It took a few visits but Andre Appliance got our LG dishwasher fixed, specifically replacing the motor assembly and the broken cable connectors for the door.

Description of Work: Called Andre's on Monday morning to replace a lid switch on my washing machine. They were willing to send a repairman that day Gary arrived within 15 minutes of scheduled time. He had the part on the truck and finished the repair in about 30 minutes. Gary was charming and friendly I was very pleased with the service I received and highly recommend this hometown business

George, the service tech, arrived on time and the company provided me a courtesy call advising he was on his way. Only had to wait in a two hour window which is nice. Company took my after hours call on a Friday night and had someone out on Saturday morning. Turned out to be a simple, low costfix. Honestly was appreciated. This was case where the tech could have easily and quot;buffaloedand quot; even an educated customer since the likely cause was disguised and didn't show the normal visual cues on a blown fuse. The fuse looked perfectly good but didn't test good. I would call them again because they were prompt, courteous and honest.

Guy was friendly enough, but didn't like cats. I have cats. Charged more than expected. Would have liked to at least have had the and quot;trip chargeand quot; count toward the balance as it does with everyone else. He didn't like that I watched what he was doing. (I watch every contractor that comes to my house. It's just good sense.)
Description of Work: Washer drain clogged. Guy fixed it. cost more than expected. Too expensive. Found another plumber that has been great and will probably use here out. (edited: I made an error inputting the price of the service. It was just under $200. Meaning $199+ change)

Tech who arrived was on time very professional, and personable. He walked my wife through every step of what he found, and the replacement of the worn out coil. Demonstrated how the dryer was working correctly, and made sure that she knew everything he was doing. Vacuumed out the lint from the dryer, and stayed to make sure it was working properly before leaving. Took the time to explain the warranty of the parts and service, rather than just letting her read it on the bill. My wife called me at work, while he was still there, and also explained to me what was wrong and what he replaced. Will have no problem calling them again.

I am very satisifed with Andre Appliances and would not hesitate to call them back if ever the need should arrive. A number of years ago, I had them out to my home for a problem with my stove. I was so impressed with the technician's honesty, that all these years later I remembered, and called them first. The technician then, was professional and honest, as was the one that arrived at my home last week. The technician put the machine back to together after diagnosing and fixing the problem. He cleaned up any messes that were made, by the repair work. I did not ask about warranting the work. The technician volunteerily explained to me that all work is guaranteed for a month. I highly recommend Andre Appliances.
Description of Work: My washing machine fabric softener dispenser was filled with water after doing laundry. I called Andre Appliances, first asked price of a service call (49.95). I then scheduled an appontmemt for later that day. They told me it is a four hour window between 1:00-5:00. The service technician called approximately 30 minutes prior to let me know he was on his way. He arrived within 15 minutes of the call, took my machine apart explaining each step as he proceeded.

It would have cost too much to fix it so I will just be purchasing a new one. The tech, Gary, that came out is great. We've used them before and would definitely use them in the future. He even played my piano and gave a little concert!

The issue was with the wall oven. I will give Andre's credit in that the wall oven was ordered out of a catalog, it was not an in-store model (they didn't have any wall-ovens in the showroom). After installing the oven I realized my 4.8 qt baking dish, none of my cookie sheets, essentially none of my larger cook ware would fit in the oven!! I called Andre's to see what could be done about this (return it, order something larger, etc.), they wouldn't take the oven back!! So I sold it on Craig's List and purchased my lovely Jade Commercial-grade dual convection oven at an auction (did bring my largest piece of cookware with me). Basically, I wish Andre's would have taken the oven back and given me some type of in-store credit to try to keep me as a customer, especially considering how much I had already purchased through them. Instead, they've made me a fan for buying commercial grade appliances at auctions.

If the item had arrived damaged, we would certainly be able to return it. The issue with this oven is that you were not happy with the space inside. Please keep in mind that all 24" ovens have limited baking space. We were saddened that you did not like your oven as we want all of our customers to be satisfied with their purchase. Under the circumstances, this special order item could not be returned. It did not arrive damage nor was it ordered incorrectly. The services where mediocre. The part that was needed had to be ordered, which other appliances companies keep that particular fuse in stock. When the part came in stock, they didn;t bother calling me, I had to call them to check on the status and then they scheduled the man to come out to replace the fuse, and he never showed up. I kept calling that morning to see when he was gonna arrive and they just said that he hadn't called in and the he probably over slept, which my her words happens often. I had to reschedule my day to now comply with his tardiness. It was very aggrevating, one, to have to wait a week for a fuse that should have been kept in stock int he first place, Two, me having to check on the status of the fuse's arrival, Three, Having to wait for the repair to show up after being 4 hours late. I will never use them again.

If they are unable to come to work, we try to reschedule the customer with another technician or another day. I find it rare that we would say our technician "overslept". We are here to take care of our customers and we know everyone's time is valuable. We conduct ourselves in a professional manner at all times. You had a Samsung dishwasher. Samsung does not allow anyone to stock their parts, in turn, it is not uncommon to have to wait for a Samsung part to arrive. Typical turnaround time is 1-5 days. We follow a protocol when parts come in. We call the customer and schedule as soon as possible. I have noted on your service ticket to "call Asap" when part comes in. I regret that you were not notified and will address the issue with our staff. Your total repair was $91.95 and not $125.00. I have a copy of your invoice if you wish to have one mailed. I also have noted on your ticket that you were satisfied with the service performed. I am saddened to read in this review that you were not satisfied. Please let us know if we can be of service again. I would like the opportunity to speak with you directly and see if there is anything we can do to win your business back. This is a very good company. They came the same day that I called. They are always very professional, and we are very happy with them. They are reasonable, and we will definitely use them again.

The washer wouldn't go into the spin cycle. I checked Angie's List and called Andre Appliance mid-morning to schedule an appointment, and was told that the technician would give me a call that afternoon 30 minutes before he would arrive. Gary called as promised and arrived about 4:30pm. He was very personable. He described everything he was doing, showing me how to access the controls and the lid switch. Besides replacing the lid switch he oiled the motor bearings and checked the motor coupler among other things.
Description of Work: Repaired a Sears Kenmore washing machine by replacing the lid switch.

I had a recall on my Maytag dishwasher and it was not working properly. I called Andre's and they came out and checked it out. They said they couldn't install the recall part without charging me and that I needed a new timer for $200. I called Maytag and they told me I needed a Certified Maytag repairman to install the recall part at no charge and recommended I have that company do all the work. I paid Andre's a $42 service charge for coming out. I had another company come out (Maytag certified). They installed the recall part and told me I did not need a new timer. They jiggled a little circular thing in the front left-hand corner of the dishwasher. He said that it sometimes get stuck. He said timers in dishwashers seldom go out. It has worked perfectly ever since and there was no charge for any of his services.

Our service technician went out and found that you were not getting power to your water valve, thus no water would be able to get into your dishwasher. I also have noted that no repair were performed. We work and service all brand appliances however we do not do any warranty work for Maytag. Our technician was honest and advised you to contact Maytag directly on any recall issue. Maytag would not have covered the repairs if we did them for you. They have strict rules and only allow warranty servicers to install their parts under warranty. We are very capable and knowledgeable on your repair. A real person answered my phone call and made an service appointment for that day. The Service Technician arrived several hours early, but that was fine with me. The technician had to dismantle part of the dishwasher to remove all of the glass shards but got it done.
Description of Work: A glass had shattered inside our dishwasher and the tiny bits had fallen down into the working parts of the machine. We had used a shop-vac to remove what we could but called Andre Appliance for help with the rest.

Andre's was great! They were friendly and fair and even came back to check the drain, after to make sure in hadn't become plugged, again.

I just do not feel comfortable with how this whole thing went down. It seems like a conflict of interest to me that he couldn't repair the dryer and then talked me into buying one from him. The dryer didn't even get delivered on time and when it did, he wanted $100 dollars more than he had quoted, I told him to take it away and he came down in his price again. He even charged me for the service call after all of this. The whole thing reeks of a conflict of interests to me, but who knows.
Description of Work: He was out within two or three days of my call, looked at the dryer and ordered the part to repair my dryer, when that came in and didn't work. He told me I needed a new one, which he happened to sell.

Dear Member, Your service ticket states that Andre checked your washer and found it needed a new timer. We ordered the timer and installed it. Upon installation, your washer continued to be unresponsive. Andre concluded that the motor on your washer had burned out. He told you honestly that it would not be wise to invest anymore money into your current machine. He returned the timer at no cost to you and charged only a service call. We sell new and used appliance. We had a new dryer that retailed for $299.99. Had you continued your repair, the cost of repair would have exceeded that amount. Andre delivered a new dryer to you for only $299.99. He did not charge tax nor a delivery fee. You paid only $299.99. By no means was Andre trying to cheat you or pull a fast one on you. We simply went to your home, could have repaired your washer for more that it was worth, but offered you a new washer for less than the estimated repair. From the beginning Andre was honest with you and tried to offer you the best service and price on a new or used washer. I hope we can be of service to you again in the future. We have a large selection of new and used appliances, all priced competitively. I sincerely know you would have not been able to find a washer as the one you purchased for less than $299 with free delivery and no tax. Let us know if we can assist you again.

They were on time with their scheduled appointment and the estimate for the parts were what they had quoted us. The costs for the parts were explained and we were given advice on how long the appliances should last. The service person was really nice.

I called Andre and he returned my call in thirty minutes and came by to give an estimate to repair my refrigerator. His prices were very reasonable and he explained why the refrigerator wasn't cooling. The repair was scheduled right away and Andre showed up on time. He diagnosed the problem and came back two days later to repair it. He did an excellent job, cleaned up any mess and was very polite.
Description of Work: Andre came to my house to check out my refrigerator, which wasn't cooling. Andre diagnosed it as a bad relay switch, but he didn't have one with him so he came back two days later and installed it. After he installed the switch, he checked to make sure the refrigerator was cooling.

THE REPAIR WAS MADE THE DAY THAT I CALLED FOR SERVICE. THE SERVICE MAN WAS TO CALL BETWEEN 1-5 PM. HE CALLED ABOUT 20 MINUTES BEFORE HE ARRIVED. HE WAS POLITE AND EFFICIENT. BESIDES REPAIRING THE DRAIN, HE ALSO FIXED A CONNECTION THAT COULD HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE.
