Description of Work: Installed 9 Windows at the front of my house. Installer used Dynamite 5000 Silconized Acrylic Sealant that molded on the Windows. The installer also left caulking all over the windows frame so that all anyone could see was mold and dirt next to the glass pane. Trey refused to correct the shoddy installation and very arrogantly spoke to me. I was never treated so rudely in my life.

 + -1 moreOverall the experience was frustrating. The windows seem to be quality windows. The installation crew was professional and knew what they needed to do. Communication and support from the office and salesman could be much better.
Description of Work: We had America's Choice Windows come out and do an estimate on replacing all the windows in our house (13). The windows are made in Texas and seemed to be of good quality. We liked the triple pane windows and decided to have them installed. Tra (the salesman and owner) knew a lot about the windows and answered all our questions. He told us the windows would be measured within 1/8 inch on each side. One concern was having to remove the blinds from the windows the morning before the crew showed up to install. Tra said the crew would remove the blinds as long as we took down the curtains etc from around the windows. They came out and measured the windows and then two weeks later the windows arrived. We waited until an available day off to have the windows installed. The day before the install we still had not received any communication from the company. We called early in the afternoon and was told by Tra the install was still on schedule. The crew showed up between 9:30 and 10:00 am and said we had to take down the blinds. Had to call Tra to get him to tell them differently. The installation crew knew exactly what to do with the windows. They were very professional and friendly. Several concerns during installation occured. One window did not seem to be fitting as well as the others. We could see daylight around the left and right sides and definately not within the 1/8 inch as told by Tra. They told us that they would put insulation around the side and it would be fine. Had Tra come to the job site to show him the problem and he did not seem too concerned about it and left after saying he had another appointment. Another problem was the large picture window was higher in the middle than the edges. They backed out the screws some and all looked good. Since I have never had windows replaced before and have never seen windows installed I am somewhat concerned about the window sizing and the amount of caulk used to finish the job. The crew finished all 13 windows before 5:00.

 + -1 moreWe met the sales team and Tray at a Home Show and learned the price of the windows. We agreed to a home meeting at which Tray explained the choices we had and once made, confirmed the price. He explained the process timing, took measurements of the windows and submitted the order. The work and professionalism of all involved was impressive and the windows are a total delight. They did an exceptional fit and finish.
Description of Work: The service people removed each window and installed the new ones. They covered furniture in each room as they worked and left each room as clean as it was. When finished, the super took us to each window to demonstrate how it worked and then requested we operate them. We were shown the outside as well and requested our opinon and comments.

Description of Work: We met Tra the sales rep.at a Houston Home Show in April 2012.We made an appointment with him to come to our house.He made his sales pitch and sold us 12 windows.He measured the windows and told us his installer would come back out to remeasure the windows and then they would call to let us know when the windows would be installed.The day of installation went very well and the installer's were very professional.

 + -1 moreMet Tra Martin at the Houston Home Show, made arrangements for him to come measure and quote new windows for my home. He arrived on time, took some measurements, and gave me a quote for double pane windows. My wife was at work and I told him that I would have to discuss it with my wife before making any decision. He snapped back that that is why he wants both partners there when he arrives. He offered triple pane windows for the same price (home show flyer already offered triple pane for the double pane price). I told him that he would not get a one-call close even if my wife was at home because we would be getting other bids and doing research of the bidding companies. He then gathered up all of his materials and stormed out the door. He did not leave me with a written quote and has not even bothered to make a follow-up call.
Description of Work: No service was performed, only got a verbal quote for replacement windows (nothing in writing).

 + -1 moreI met Tra Martin at the Home Show in Houston. I went to the home show to look at kitchen update ideas. I stopped at America's Choise Windows with a friend and we both decided after talking to Tra to purchase new windows. Although we were promised the windows in two to three weeks, it actually took 8 weeks to get the windows installed. It was SO WELL worth the wait and I did understand that with the rain that we had that they were behind on the installations. My windows are in and are absolutely beautiful. The installers were fabulous. I watched them take out my picture window with such precision and skill that they did not even crack the window! They arrived promptly and stayed until they finished the job. They not only cleaned up everything but also washed the widows so that there were no smudges. As with any remodeling job, there was lots of dust even though they carefully covered up everything with thick plastic. When they were cleaning up one of the installer's was dusting my bedroom furniture! I told him that wasn't necessary I could do that. The whole process was so professionally handled. The results were fabulous! The installers were wonderful and Tra Kept in contact and checked on everything. They are the best and I will recommend them to everyone!

 + -1 moreThey came out when they said they would. The only thing I was not satisfied with was that they did not call me. I had to call them to find out when the windows would be ready. They said that they would guarantee their work and give me a certificate. I still haven't gotten my certificate from them. They still haven't painted the spots where they had to drill either. They tried to charge me more money for doing that. They have a AAA rating by the Better Business Bureau, but it might be because nobody ever used them before.

 + -1 moreThe sales person came out to our house, measured all windows, sat down with us and explained the process and pricing of replacing all windows in the house. The sales person was professional, very knowledgable about his product and was not pushy at all. He brought examples of the product and the presentation was very informative and impressive. We signed on the spot and the everything that the salesperson said would happen, did happen. Flawlessly. We have had several contractors in and out of our home in the last 9 months as we are remodeling the entire house, Americas Choice Windows was by far the very best contracter that stepped foot on our property. The staff was professional, curtious and punctual. They installed all windows to code and disposed of all of the old windows properly. I highly recommend this company for your window replacements, they are well worth the money and actually less than thier competitors. I will be calling ACW in the near furure for new siding. - Happy Customer
