I had 3 estimates and City Tree Service was slightly less than the others, but that's not why I chose them for the job. I was impressed with Jason and his wife's professionalism when they arrived and Jason provided straightforward and thorough explanation of what service they would provide as we walked the property. He seemed honest and motivated to do the job correctly and to my satisfaction. When he and his crew arrived the following week as scheduled they promptly began working and did an excellent job. His crew of 3 we're just as professional as Jason and his wife. Jason was very adamant that I was fully satisfied before leaving the job, in doing so he spent another hour doing finishing touches that I pointed out. I highly recommend City Tree Service, I'll be calling them back for future tree services.

City Tree Service did an excellent job. They were very cooperative, they worked well, they cleaned up after themselves, and it was a good deal for me. The price was reasonable because I've paid more in the past and I appreciated the work done by City Tree Service.

Went great. Did everything they said they'd do at an affordable price. No issues. Would recommend them to anyone requiring professional tree removal. Will use again if need be.

The City Tree Service crew showed up on-time and immediately began work. The large ash tree needed to be thinned and remove all contact with the house. The Texas Sage bushes were trimmed by 1/3 in both height and depth. the verbena bushes were topped and trimmed on the sides. The tree looks fantastic and is clear of the roof line. All bushes were trimmed according to my wishes. The crew checked with me along the way to make sure I was satisfied with their work. This team does not disappoint and I'll definitely use them again.

Everything went well. Was able to remove stumps & trim up tree as needed.

I contacted City Tree Service and left a message regarding obtaining a quote to prune my oak tree. Jason returned my call within an hour and we set a date and time, Jason was already at the location waiting for me when I arrived and he immediately looked over the request and told me about the Angie's List special with their company. Jason was professional and told me everything he would do and gave me a verbal quote with the use of the A.L. special of $199, for $400 of service, and I would need to pay the difference. The quote was reasonable but I didn't want to feed pressured to use the special without getting more information. I may use this company when I am ready for fall pruning.

I took advantage of a coupon City Tree Service offered. I had bought the coupon before the hail storm had hit town on Mothers day weekend. The storm left me with several limbs that where starting to over hang the patio, house and driveway. On the day of the appointment I received calls from the crews of both trucks to say they where on the way. They arrived between the scheduled hours of 10am to noon. The four person crew got to work quickly, once they walked around the yard with me as I pointed out the limbs I was wanting removed. The crews where quick!!! They where here and gone in under an hour, even with raking up the twigs.

Jason called me in advance the day of the work to give me an estimated time of arrival and again to let me know when he was on the way with his crew. When he arrived, we discussed what I wanted done and he pointed out specific branches, asking whether I wanted them cut. He also was very honest about what I could get done for the cost of the coupon and what would cost extra and exactly what the extra cost would be. For today, I decided to stick with the work covered by the coupon. City Tree Service has a large crew, so they were able on the front and back simultaneously. When they were done, Jason asked me to come out and look at the work. He was very accommodating about taking off a few additional branches that I requested. All the wounds were sealed, the branches hauled away, and the yard, deck, and driveway were cleaner after he left than before he came. I was impressed by everyone's courtesy and professionalism. I am very pleased with the work I had done today. My trees look great and I am rid of the overhanging branches. The next time I need some tree work done, I will call City Tree Service.

Jason and Jeanette are such a great team. They were very quick to respond to the call out for the estimate and were very punctual. Their crew was excellent. They did a great job! In addition to such quick response and great work, they provide excellent service. they truly make sure that the customer is satisfied before they leave. it was refreshing to know that customer service is still alive! I will definitely recommend them to all my friends and will use them again in the future.

It was really good. The price was reasonable. They were efficient, got the job done and cleaned up afterwards. Did not leave brush or debris around.

They were great. They were very prompt. They didn’t have time right then and they told us it will be about a week. Then they called me and told that they got finished early so they can come. They came straight on out. They brought a crew and they did it quickly. My husband said they were all going at it hard. It was Angie’s List special deal.

I purchased a "Big Deal" from City Tree Service to trim my oak tree in the backyard. City Tree did a fantastic job. My tree is quite large and they were able to trim to the very top. They did a great job trimming the tree (I now have sunlight!) and they did an excellent job of cleaning up and hauling away the debris. After they were finished I checked to see how clean the yard was and you couldn't tell they had been there, it was that neat. This is a family owned and operated business. They were very professional but yet I felt very comfortable with them and I would definately recommend them.

Purchased Angie's Big Deal offer of $199 for $400 worth of tree service work. City Tree Service responded quickly to my request for an appointment and showed up early on the appointment day. Jason Grube (owner) and another worker reviewed my request for work needed and begin work immediately. They were professional, quick and thorough in their approach. Jason is very knowledgeable about trees and he patiently answered all my questions thoroughly. They did a great job on the trees, did not damage any landscaping, and cleaned up so well, it was as if they had never been there in the first place. I was so impressed, I accepted a bid on the rest of my oak trees (approximately 15 trees) to take place in another 30 days. There was never any selling pressure to accept the bid. The excellent work that City Tree Service did -and the very reasonable price- made it easy for me to accept the new bid for the additional tree work needed.

I tried these guys because I saw an Angie's list coupon. They called to confirm and schedule the next morning. They were so good, i used them again...on Sunday...twice!

Jason scheduled with us for a Wednesday but then told us the previous Saturday that he could fit us in, so we went with that day. He walked the yard with me to see what I wanted done. I had purchased a $200 Angies List coupon for $400 in work, but I asked him to do a lot more than that, so we settled on an additional $700. The crew started at noon and worked quickly and efficiently. It took more time than we had anticipated, and my husband and I were leaving for another engagement at 6 pm, so I didn't take the time to look at everything before they left. Unfortunately, there was one area that didn't get done to my satisfaction. However, when I called Jason to let him know, he returned within a day and finished the work. Our canopy was so overgrown that it took some time to get used to all the light, but now we have roses and other flowers blooming the best they have in years, and our pool gets an hour of additional sunlight. We are very pleased and plan to use this company again to clear a lot we have near Canyon Lake. I didn't rate this company on price because I have never used a tree service before, but I think the price was reasonable.

We signed-up for the Angie's special with this company. As it turned out they signed-up so many people that they had a huge backlog of work. It took awhile before they could get to us. When we first met with the owner we agreed to a three man crew and to pay on a daily rate. However when it came to the work days the owner (part of the crew) was hardly ever there and left the work to just two of the men. This reduced the efficiency of the cutting and hauling etc. When I asked him about this he said that he had ooriginally explained that he would have to go away for bids from time to time during the day. I guess this didn't really register with me, but he was gone almost all of the two work days running personal errands and making new bids. After the crew left I found trash laying around like gator aid bottles and potato chip bags. Also, I had asked them to clear the trees/limbs that had fallen on the fence. They did this but also cut the flowering vines that I had planted along the fence for privacy. So, in summary, if you decide to do business with this group I would recommend that you clearly understand how many full-time people are going to be on the job, and that you clearly give directions, and get everything in writing on the estimate.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon from this company for $199 worth $400 of tree trimming services. I called to schedule an appointment and they scheduled me immediately. Jason, the owner, and his crew of 2 came out to my house on April 24th. I informed Jason that all I wanted was the $400 work of service that I already paid for. He evaluated our front and back yard and told me he could do all our trees for an additional $500. I informed Jason that I did not have that kind of money so he offered me a payment plan. We agreed that I would pay him $100 in cash that day and was to write him two post dated checks for $200 each for the remaining balance. The post dated checks were dated May 8th and May 22nd. The service was great and the crew completed the job the same day. They even stayed late. However, the issue came afterwards. I checked my account on April 29th and, to my surprise, both checks were cashed that day. I only had $.10 in my account so my account was overdrawn $400. I contacted Jason that day to find out why the checks had been cashed. A female answered the phone, Jeanette, and she informed me that a mistake had been made. I contacted my bank and was told I needed to make a cash deposit to cover the checks by 9pm that day to avoid overdraft charges. Jeanette offered to meet me somewhere so she give me the cash back. Then Jason got on the phone and demanded that I write him 2 more post dated checks, otherwise, he would not return my money. I was very hesitant to write this man 2 more checks since he already made the mistake of cashing them earlier than when he as suppose to. I offered to mail him the checks when they are due or he could pick up the money from my house on the date it was due. He refused. I offered to transfer the funds electronically to his bank account on the dates the money was due and he declined. I tried to explain to him that I was not comfortable writing him 2 more checks but he was not willing to work with me on other payment alternatives. That being said, Jason did not return my money. I have been charged $33 per item in overdraft charges by my bank. My car payment, mortgage and child care is due this month and now I am short $400. This experience has cause a huge financial burden on my family so I would not recommend his service to anyone. I caution anyone who is considering doing business with this company. 5/1/2013 UPDATE: Jeanette contacted me and offered to return my money plus cover the overdraft charges that I incurred. I accepted their offer but I still had to write them two post dated checks for $200 each. Jeanette and Jason have assured me that they will not make the same mistake again and cash the checks on that date they are to be paid.

They did what they said they would do: arrived on time, did their work and cleaned up.

As usual ( I have used Jason and his Company before) all trees were trimed and cut perfectly to show the beauty of each tree. His workers removed and cleaned up everything from the cutting and triming. Jason and his crew are very safety minded and take all precautions to make sure there is no damage to the property or people. I highly recommend Jason and CityTtree Service to anyone who want's the job done correctly and complete.

They were on time and very pleasant to deal with and did the quality work as stated. The advertise price was little confusing though, the advertise price of $199.00 of the Big Deal for a $400 service, but the worker said that they would only do only one big branch for that price? but the work they did was top notch.

Once they arrived, everything went well. Jason and his crew performed everything we discussed when he gave me a quote. After all the wood was hauled off, they raked and blew our yard so that it looked neat.
