City Tree Service

It went fine. I would rate them average on everything. There was nothing special. I actually didn't use all of the money that was on there. I've got three hours of work left that they've said they'll do for me later.

We have only used one that is city tree service. You would give him an A+ on everything. He was just great. I don't remember how much he charged but he was very reasonable. It was about a year a go. I would use him again in the future. He is the first one I would go to.

They did as I requested. A little sloppy in the clean up but I'd use them again without reservation. A good team and I got what I needed.

The first time I used them was at my house and we got a big deal. I contacted them about that, and when he came out, he didn't really want to do that. It was even more expensive than we hoped it would be, But then, they were incredibly thorough and they did a great job in getting up in a tree and pointing that up. I guess my only complaint is the price. The work was fantastic.

They don't honor what they advertise on Angie's List. They appear to not have the time to do the job or just don't want to do the job. They never came out to assess my yard and tell me how much they would be able to do so my $1299 was refunded.

Absolutely fantastic! They did a great job. They really did a nice job for a very good price. They were very professional. Their work work ethic was great. They were on it and working hard. They are the best I've ever used.

Provider did not come by to give estimate -- I really needed a tree cut down and dead fronds from a sawtooth palm trimmed.

No initial response from purchase. I called and left messages and never got a response.

Bought the Angie's List Big Deal for $1299 for three tree service professionals for a day to trim some trees in my yard. Did not hear from City Tree Service within the two day timeframe so sent them a message. No response. Sent them another message. Still no response. So called City Tree Service. Heard a voice message that they are not taking calls. Have started a dispute resolution with my credit card company to dispute my $1299 transaction. Save yourself some heartache and stay away from this company.

They did a great job and hauled away all the limbs, etc. they were great & very polite.

Jason and I met at my home for the quote. We discussed the work I wanted done to the point of counting the specific trees I wanted trimmed. I agreed to his price and he said he would start the next day. On the day the work was to begin, he texted me that he was on his way. He also followed up with a text asking for some money up front cause "need to loan my ex some money". Even though we had not discussed any pre-payment, I was against giving an upfront payment to get him started. I gave him $300. When I gave him the payment, he said he was going to get started today and come back the next day with some help and his trailer to finish. I had no issue with his plan I had to leave to run errands and my wife was still at the house as Jason was getting started. When she left an hour or so later he was no where to be found. He must have come back later. My wife returned home at 7:30pm and he was still there. His truck was running in the driveway with radio on. She could not find him, but later found him in the back yard in the dark. He said he was finishing up. He then left. Need less to say it is a little odd to be tree trimming in the dark with no flash light. The next day he didn't show up and didn't not return my call. When I checked his progress from the previous day, he got very little trimming done (mainly a few sucker branches and small dead wood). He left this in a blue tarp on my grass. What Jason spent his time on that day was digging up my river rock walk way to pull grass out. This was not work that was part of the scope discussed or part of the price quoted. I have no idea why he did this. He made a big mess and ripped up landscape fabric in the process. I was pretty mad at this point. I left him a message on the day he didn't show back up and never got a response. The next day I didn't here from him and he didn't show up at the house. On that following Tuesday I received a call from another number returning my message. The lady who called said they would be out the next day. I left work the next day to check and no one was working at my house. I called the lady back and told her what went on. She said she would make it right and be out the next day. 30 min later I got a text saying they could not come till the weekend. I responded with a cancelation of the job. City Tree was awful. DO NOT USE! I ended up getting nothing for my pre-payment of $300, but a bigger bill to fix what Jason screwed up. I chose them because of their Angie's List rating and prices. I chose wrong.

These guys are awesome and offered a great price that others couldn't match. I will seek them again for future jobs and recommend them to others.

I purchased a big deal for this service. They showed up on time and mainly dealt with my husband, but I think he was pretty satisfied. I think they did more than we originally bought off Angie's List. I paid additional to the big deal price but I can't remember what else they did for us. I would recommend them to others. There were no issues with them and they did everything we asked them to do.

They came quickly and did the job with a minimum of drama

Arrived on time. Jason was very professional. He explained what needed to be done. Jason and his crew worked continuosly and did a beautifu job.

They never showed. I called several weeks in advance to schedule over the holiday break. We set up the work for Dec 29th. It was to be 8 hours 3 men. We tried calling the day before (Friday before the Monday) and kept getting a message that the "callers mailbox is full and you can't leave a message" Today is the 29th and we still have heard nothing from them and still are unable to call. Very disappointing and frustrating.

GREAT AND SPEEDY,NEVER LOOKED AS GOOD AND THEY CLEANED UP SPACE AROUND HOUSE AND POWER-BLOWED WALKS AND FULL DRIVEWAY.

Jason rented several pieces of equipment, such as bob cats, log splitter and a trailer. He got a flat tire and decided to replace it with non trailer tire which went flat again. This occurred in San Antonio. Jason left my trailer in the street where it was hit by another car and destroyed. I had to move was left of the trailer, fully loaded with wood, back to Bandera, Texas. He never paid for his rentals and the trailer which was replaced by an insurance company was not fully paid for and cost me an additional 1k which is not in his bill for $2,100.00 . Jason swore he would come and remove the wood and pay, but never did. Also, would not answer phone for over a year.

They were just great. We have a big yard, lots of trees and 3 guys worked 8 hours, trimming and removing the limbs, and they had a spotter to make sure all the wounds were dressed. We absolutely plan to use them again. Polite, Professional and we got what we paid for.

Jason and crew meticulously cleaned the moss out of our gigantic oak tree. It went from ugly to beautiful. They were on time and left no mess in the yard. I will use them again.

We took advantage of an Angie's deal - We would use this provider again. He was not familiar with how Angie's list works (nor was I) and he ended up being paid twice for the service. We have not contacted the provider to request additional work to cover the extra pay but are confident he will comply.

I had them prune a large Oak tree. A few people came out to prune. I had no problem scheduling the deal. They did a nice job cleaning up after the service. The crew was very efficient and competent. They obviously knew what they were doing.
