I was quite delighted with him. He was on time and he was very polite. He was very professional and he did a beautiful job. It was just a very positive experience. If I need more painting, I will hire him again. I got the painting done for the initial room and I used the special deal for this service. So I paid $99 to have one room painted and then the small utility room was an additional $125. I bought the paint and I used the company that he suggested. It has been a very good experience. I will most certainly use his services again in the future.

Jerry first came to our house, and did an estimate on how much it was going to cost to paint the outside of our house. He was very professional, yet, he was very friendly. My husband and I were very impressed by him. I had 2 other painters come and give estimates to paint our house, and my husband and I felt Jerry was the most reasonable. We , also, felt Jerry would do the best job. When Jerry got started, he first power washed the outside of our house. Then, he replced any rotten wood on our house. Lastly, Jerry and his helper painted our house. Lastly, I had his helper paint our front and back doors to our house. My husband and I felt Jerry and his helper did very good quality work. We would use him, again, without hesitation. GK

He painted one room for an Angie's list special of $99. Since there were cracks I spent another $150 to fix them. I was not please by the quality of the final product of the patching which can be seen through the paint. The lack of cleanup of the floor, paint drops and smudges on wood trim, ceiling, etc. It is obvious that he was more interested in getting done really fast and not taking the time to finish the job properly. I did get a bid from him on a much larger job but will not go any further with him as I am not pleased with the quality of his work.

One man, the owner, came to my house at the agreed upon time & spent a substantial amount of time walking around the house, first to determine what he thought needed to be done, and then again with me to tell me and show me what he would be doing if selected to do the job. I really had only a vague idea up to that time what tasks should be performed when painting a house - if you want it to look good and last a long time. So I was glad to hear the detailed description of the recommended steps above and beyond the typical power wash and scraping. It made me appreciate the bid price more, realizing how much work was going to be going into the project; and helped me know what I should be asking when other contractors bid as well. He also provided a written bid the next day, or shortly thereafter, that included a detailed list of all the steps to be taken. I was pleased with the bid process and impressed by the owner's hands-on knowledge about the work. He advised he would be working on the job himself, maybe with one or more helpers part of the time, and they would be working continually on my job until it was done. This is something I appreciate, knowing the job will not drag on for weeks while the contractor takes on other work. I have not yet selected anyone to do the house painting due to unforeseen expenses that came up on another project I was having done, but will definitely consider the bid I received from JV Painting when I can move on to the house painting.

John did a good job.

I purchased the Big Deal for JV Painting & Construction to remove popcorn ceiling texture from one small room. After talking with Jerry and getting an estimate, we decided to go ahead and remove the texture from that room as well as a much larger room we thought we would have to wait to do. We also had him re-texture both ceilings to match the smoother texture on adjacent ceilings. He repaired several holes left by an electrician who put in overhead lights in the one room and repaired several cracks that have developed in our 20-year-old house. Not only do the ceilings look great, he finished ahead of time, left the place spotless and shared a lot of expertise. We will have him back soon to repaint a number of rooms, including the new ceilings.

Jerry Verhelst is personable, professional, and easy to work with. The job was done as scheduled and looks perfect. The cleanup was excellent. This is the first time ever (and I'm an old geezer) that an interior painter has vacuumed the carpet after the drop cloths were picked up. Jerry has high standards and goes the extra mile. After cleanup he was not happy with the patch, brought all the supplies back in from his truck, redid the patch, and did another cleanup. I recommend JV Painting A+ and would not hesitate to use them again. Whether or not you see another $99 offer from JV, do yourself a big favor and ask them for a bid.

Jerry arrived exactly when he said he would and finished the work the same day. The lines on the painting were clean and neat, my living room looked perfect 10 minutes after he left and I put the furniture back.

FROM THE 1ST DAY UNTIL COMPLETION EVERY STEP OF THE WAY WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY. THIS IS THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A CONTRACTED PAINTER. I WOULD CERTAINLY HIRE JERRY VERHELST AGAIN AND WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE.
