Keene Brady did a fantastic job. He took video and pictures of the roof to help explain to us what he was doing. I thought that was really unique and found it very helpful. He was timely, respectful, informative and accountable. I would highly recommend him and the company.

Brady did a great job. Came early (didn't keep me waiting all day) Identified some minor deficiencies and took care of them all in less than 2 hours. Fixed a hole in the shingles using plastic roofing cement and some granules I saved since the roof was replaced. I recommend him and Good News Roofing highly.

Brady came and inspected our roof, took photographs of a few problem areas, and presented us with a report of his findings. He found the rubber casings around the bottom of two of the toilet flues had been damaged by animals seeking entry to our attic and he replaced them without charge. We have three areas where two roofs meet that need to be screened in to prevent animals from entering the attic. Brady recommended that we find a handyman on Angie's List to perform this work. We have a red oak that is causing damage to our roof. It is currently superficial but that branch needs to be removed to prevent the damage from becoming serious. Otherwise he declared our shingles in very good condition. He was an excellent worker and communicator. I will definitely call him when we need roof repair or replacement.

I highly recommend Good News Roofing. Brady (owner) was prompt in communication and on-time for the appointment. He handed me his business card upon arrival, and was very professional and courteous. He discussed briefly what he was going to do and asked if I had any problems, leaks, that I was aware of-which I did. I had noticed a "shading" spot on the ceiling from two "rainstorms" ago, which grew longer after the last rain. Brady worked on the roof in a timely manner, and then showed me pictures of the minor maintenance repairs needed to the flashings, vents, and such on my roof. He was very thorough in explaining what he found and fixed (as part of the package). Luckily, the leak was a minor issue, related to one of vents-an easy fix that was included in the maintenance package. He showed me a video of the entire job completed and patiently answered my questions. I am not an easy person to please; however, I was very satisfied with the service provided by Brady at Good News Roofing. And there's no extra charge to drive to Hutto, which I come across way too often. I am happy to support local and small businesses who do excellent work ! Thanks Brady.

Although Goodnews Roofing wasn't able to help us with our roof maintenance I did want to share my experience dealing with the company. They called me shortly after I bought the roof maintenance special Angie's List was running. This was on a Thursday. I was hoping for a Friday appt., but expecting to have to wait until the following week. To my surprise, they were able to get me in on Friday. Brady showed up on time. The pitch on my roof is very steep - you wouldn't have to worry about a frisbee getting stuck on it. And it's a two-story house. Company policy didn't allow him to go up on the roof because of the height. He did, however, take the time to go into the attic with me so I could show him the problem I was having. He made a call, and two hours later two guys who I will call Spiderman and his accomplice showed up, scaled the roof somehow, and fixed my problem. In my interactions with Brady I could tell he is an honest business man. While he couldn't fix my problem, he did find someone who could. If you're in the process of getting roofing bids I would recommend Goodnews roofing be one of those bids.

I used the Angie's coupon for the roof check and maintenance. He fixed up my roof for a good price. He set up an appointment within a week and turned up on time.

Good News Roofing is awesome! After all of the heavy rains in October 2013, I found sheet rock leaks in my upstairs bedroom near the chimney box. With more rain in the forecast, Ashley and Brady found a way to wedge me into Brady's schedule ASAP. After a thorough investigation, he found the source of the leaks around the chimney/cricket area and made several repairs. Brady is very friendly, listens carefully to my concerns and ideas, arrived at the scheduled time as promised, and also took time to explain a few good ideas on managing water runoff, gutters and downspout tips. Also, I sprung another issue on him after he arrived and, even though not part of his original work order, he said he was happy to take a look. He evaluated this other section of roof, found some likely problems, and made some repairs. This is an organization that really embodies Customer Service. I am happy to report that after last night's deluge (nearly 2-inches in 30 minutes), my sheet rock is dry today! Congratulations, Brady! You?re my new roofer.

Inspected roof and sealed exposed nails as well as extra sealing around chimney. Also replaced vent jacks. We had to leave so work was done without supervision. I inspected the roof the next day and everything looks good.

Brady was everything you want in a contractor. He was communicative, punctual, and did the job right. He arrived on-time and gave me a call beforehand to let me know he was on his way. He did a great job repairing the roof and then gave me a comprehensive assessment of the state of my roof. It's clear that I need additional work done and though I never felt that Brady was trying to making a sale, I'll be working with him again.

The contractor scheduled us, then called that morning to confirm he was on the way. He showed up promptly, exactly on time, introduced himself and then proceeded to evaluate the roof. He was very efficient and thorough in his inspection, and was honest and didn't try to talk us into any repairs that were not necessary. (We already had a good idea what needed to be done. He confirmed our impression and found another couple of damaged spots.) He even took pictures of all the problem spots, which he discussed with us, showing us the problem areas and explaining what he was going to do. The repair work went quickly and smoothly. Although we had purchased a "package deal" for certain repairs, he even repaired some unexpected other damage he found AT NO EXTRA COST. That doesn't happen very often! We also saw the products he used, and they were high quality. As it turned out, we had an immediate opportunity to judge the quality of the contractor's work. Shortly after he left, a big rainstorm struck. I can happily report that the roof was completely free of leaks and problems. We are very satisfied with everything about the experience of working with Good News Roofing, and intend to take him up on his offer of free roof inspections in the future.

I purchased an Angie's List $99 special that consisted of a roof inspection and resealing of flashing and popped-up nail heads. Soon after the purchase, Good News Roofing called me and setup an appointment to perform their agreed-to service. Brady, the owner of the company, came to our house right on time according to the appointment we made earlier. He was very courteous as he explained in detail what it is he was going to do. I told Brady that I was concerned about the rubber boots that fit around the plumbing vent pipes. Several of the boots had disintegrated under the hot sun of Texas. Brady proceeded with the inspection and minor fixing jobs. After the inspection, he told me my roof was in good shape, but needed to have some of the flashing renailed and resealed. He said this work is part of the $99 fee for the Angie special. He also the rubber boots around the pumbing vents definitely needed to be replaced. Even though replacing these boots is outside the scope of the $99 fee, Brady said that he had the boots in his truck and will replace them at no charage to me. Bottom line -- Brady runs his business very well and I will have him do any roof repairs I have in the future. I will also recommend him to everybody I know who has a need for roofing repairs. Brady showed up himself to check our roof. We were having leaking issues and he took pictures and explained that our entire roof was badly in need of repair. The pictures didn't lie, hail had made our roof a dismal barrier between our living space and the elements. Ashley, who runs the office, came out and explained all our options and choices for the reroofing of our home as well as our out buildings, worked with us to get a very reasonable price considering all the work involved. The completed the job on time and his crew did a wonderful job of cleaning up afterwards. During the two day project Brady showed up both days and came back on Monday "just to make sure" that all was done to his standards. The crew chief kept us informed the whole time as to what was happening and did an excellent job of explaining the when's and why's. All in all, a very pleasant experience working with such a professional group of people. I would highly recommend that anybody needing any type of roofing repair or replacement contact this young man or his sister to get a "job well done" at a beyond fair and reasonable price.

I had a wonderful experience with Good News Roofing! I had called another company to get an estimate on my roof. They said they were really backed up and would call me back to let me know when they would be out. I never heard back from them. I called GNR and talked to Ashley. She was so nice and helpful, and Brady came out in just a few days. The other company told me I had to be home, but Brady came and checked out my roof while I was at work, saving me time and money. Apparently, my shingles had been discontinued, but Brady was able to track down several boxes. My roof was fixed in less time than I had waited for the other company to just call me back. This company knows the definition of customer service. They definitely exceeded my expectations, and I would not even consider using anyone else. Do not have any doubts before calling GNR -- they are the real deal!!!

Excellent!!! I asked Good News to come out and repair a shingle that was blown off by wind. The owner came out and not only replaced the missing shingle but inspected the entire roof. There was no charge. His honesty is a very rare trait in a business with many options. He was highly informative and took the time to describe the roof longevity. He was highly professional and had a great demeanor - I will call Good News for my next roofing needs.

We needed a complete reroofing job after hail damage early this year. I wanted to go with a true local company and found Good News Roofing here. I was a little reluctant because there were so few reviews, but after looking at the enormous number of reference letters on their web site, and talking to Ian in person, those worries evaporated. I got quotes from a few companies; everyone was priced about the same (which I think is typical for insurance repairs), but Ian showed more courtesy, professionalism and enthusiasm than the others. He also demonstrated a great deal of technical roofing knowledge along with expertise in dealing with insurance claims - both of which are critical for this type of job. Good News followed up extensively on their quote, including giving me addresses of recent jobs of theirs which used the same shingle colors we were considering, so not only could we see examples of their work, but also examples of the different colors on different house types. (the fact that they could give us several houses for each color shows how many customers they have in this area). So, after all that, we decided to go with Good News. Ian supervised and brought Marcos and crew to do this very large job. They were some of the hardest working guys I have ever seen - nonstop activity. They showed up exactly when they said they would, and they cleaned up each day before leaving. The end result was outstanding - it looks like an entirely different and more beautiful house! Being an engineer, I am very detail oriented, and there were only a few minor things hardly worth complaining about - like where they oversprayed a little paint onto the bricks when repainting the flashing to match the new shingle color. If I hadn't told you, you would never find it. Now one exciting thing did happen afterwards: less than a week after completion was when we had that massive windstorm blowing from the north with winds over 60mph in some areas, damaging roofs all across the county. This was a worst case scenario - we have a steep roof, and the north facing side had never had any sunlight, so the adhesive strips never melted and sealed. Even with extra nails on the steep parts, we still lost a fair number of shingles on that side. Within 2 days the crew was out and repaired all the damage, at a very fair price to me. All in all it was a great experience even with some bad luck thrown in. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Good News to anyone looking for roofing work.

We called and spoke with Ashley and she took care of our questions and set up an appointment for us with Brady. Ashley was very professional and easy to work with. Brady arrived on time and we explained our concerns about hail damage. We also told him that we had noticed a piece of flashing that looked like it wasn't tacked down correctly. Brady was professional, listened, explained things and got on the roof. He also asked to check our attic to be certain that everything was ok there as well. Brady returned and explained that the flashing we saw coming loose had never been nailed down properly so he had taken care of that for us. He also told us that our shingles had a manufacturing defect and that we might want to consider notifying the manufacturer. He said that he could take pictures of the damage and then we could forward them to the company with a complaint form. Brady even offered to return and meet with the representative that the manufacturer would most likely send out to document the defect in the shingles. Brady was very thorough and put us at ease. Overall we were very impressed and should we end up needing our roof replaced we will be calling on Good News Roofing again.

I found Good News Roofing Company on your site and called them along with two others. The owner, Ian, called me back within 15 minutes, sounded very knowledgable and made an appointment to visit my home that afternoon. When he showed up, he was on time, extremely polite and dressed professionally. He immediately assessed the work to be done, explained the process and informed me that he would have an estimate later that day. Two hours later he emailed a very favorable estimate and I scheduled the job for later in the week. When his crew showed up, they were also on time, very considerate of our property, jumped on the work and were finished as estimated. When they were finished, they cleaned up all of their materials (including EVERY nail), invited me to inspect their work and thanked me for the business. Ian followed up to make sure that I was pleased with their work and he too thanked me for the business. I have also recently experienced a roof leak on one of my rental properties and did not hesitate to call Good News Roofing. Ian quickly responed, had his crew repair the leak and has since met with the insurance adjuster (for several hours) to approve a complete roof replacement. Without Ian's help, the adjuster would not have approved the full replacement. Ian made it happen for me! I have since referred Good News Roofing to several of my coworkers and neighbors and will not hesitate to call on them again. They are the BEST!

Noticed I had shingles missing. Called them and they came out the same day. The pricing was reasonable and they want to take care of you.

Contacted Ian and he came out to give us an estimate immediately. He explained repair process. Price was good and work was scheduled. Workers arrived on time on given date, rang the bell to let me know they had arrived. Completed job and rang the bell to let me know they were finished. Hassle free experience which I very much appreciated. Ian emailed an invoice once job was completed.

I called the company and immediately reached Ian (the owner), I explained that my skylight was leaking when it would rain and asked if they could come take a look at it. He said that he would see if he could get one of his guys out there that evening and would call me back to let me know. Later that evening there was a knock on the door and it was Ian, he was dressed very professionally with a company shirt on and had the company logo on his shirt. He apologized, but he had not gotten my phone number only my address and he didn't want to not contact me back which was very thoughtful. He said he didn't have his crew back from another job, but would like to look at the roof himself while he was there. After inspecting it he said that he could do a quick fix and see if it would work since we were expecting rain and if not he would be back with someone to do more thorough investigation which would require removing shingles and revealing skylight. He got my number and called back a few days later to check on it, but it hadn't rained so he said he would call next week. Sure enough he did what he said and after a huge downpour of rain I was happy to tell him that his fix had worked. He was pleased to hear that and said to call him if anything had changed and he would be happy to come back. I took a chance on this company since there were no reviews here, but decided I wanted to go local and I'm so glad that I did. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone based on my experience and the professionalism and generosity that the owner showed.
