Pete arrived on time, was courteous and seems to know his business.

Pete is a wonderful man who has great workers working for him. They were all very easy to have in the house and around my children. Pete is extremely conscientious and truly cares about the clients and the finished product. I absolutely LOVE my bathroom. There isn't one thing I would have done differently.

Contacted this contractor through Angie's list but never got a response back. It was a small job but if a contractor is not willing to take on a job that would be a little under $5000, then they should at least respond to a customer inquiry.

Please read my previous notes. Overall EXCELLENT!

He did not show up for the appointment we had set. We did not use him but we interviewed him to do some remodeling on our house. We decided not to do it, as we do not have the money for it now. It is awful that we did not sign anything with him now. He came over for free and he got a ladder and he was up there on the attic to see the joists and to see how it was built and to see how the ceiling was put together. He went to the back and looked at how the septic was put in. He called our septic guy and talked to him and went and got the asbuild from the county. Then he told us that we could put a curve in the re-model and make it like a stand out garden window. Then you would have a bench to sit on. We would then have a curve around this spec tic tank and stay five feet away from it. That was awesome. He did all of that without a penny from us was awesome. I will use him when we decide to change this house. We will call him back and we will use his idea. He drew it on paper and not with an architect or anything. That would be the next step to have the architect meet with us and put some ideas down on paper. We were very happy with all that he did for us. He promised that the job would be between two hundred thousand and two hundred fifty thousand to make this old house into a $ 1.7 million house. He invited us to go to the site on Marshal Island and talk to the owners and see how they felt about him. He also put $60,000 of his own money, equipment and material into this job because he has fixed up for things that they necessarily did not have the money for, as it was not in the budget. He thought that they would be happier overall if they had this other thing fixed. It is amazing to put your own funds and materials into something so that the customer is happy. Any way the fact that invited us to check out his site and to meet the people and he was willing to give us reference of every other person he has worked with and no one has ever refused him. We will use.

It went fantastic! We bonded with Pete immediately. He is such a great guy and genuinely cares about his work and his client's happiness. We have a 1945 cape cod style home that had a very outdated and oddly shaped kitchen, and a bathroom with rotting drywall and a full size window in the shower (God knows why). Pete gave us the bid for labor only and gave us an estimate on material costs. We worked it out to be exactly to our budget. We liked paying for materials separately because it allowed us to control costs and not pay any mark-up a contractor may have added. Once we accepted Pete's bid he and his guys were able to start within 10 days or so. Project Start: Like most projects, the demo went quickly. His guys were extremely clean and took great care to make sure dust was contained within the confines of the kitchen and bathroom. They put up plastic sheets and had an industrial air purifier to help with the dust. They had a large trailer in the driveway to haul away all the debris (which there was plenty of). Middle of Project: During the project the work went smoothly and Pete communicated well at each phase. As with all projects like this you find a few surprises. For us these were minimal and Pete was always willing to ensure what needed to be done was taken care of the right way. As we were discussing ways to make the kitchen as efficient and spacious as possible, we decided to expand the entryway to be wider than it was originally. During this process Pete found that the beam spanning the boundary between the kitchen and living room would need some additional support to ensure it was safe. Many contractors would have simply glossed over this and done what was cheap and easy. Pete does it the right way, even if it slows down the project. End of Project: Wow! What an amazing new kitchen and bathroom we have. We are so thrilled with the space Pete created for us. Almost 1 year after the job was completed we couldn't be happier with our kitchen. It is beautiful! And the scrap pile on the patio was cleaned up so well you couldn't even tell it was ever there. We LOVE the remodel! It's not often people hug their contractor, but both my wife and I gave Pete a hearty hug at the end of this project. We will definitely call Pete for our next project!

From the minute I spoke to Pete on the phone, I felt he was going to be the one we went with. He was personable, outgoing, and knowledgeable, He came and gave us an estimate, which was lower than two other bids we had come in. I had wanted to raise the existing level of the kitchen ceiling to match the adjacent family room, Pete said no problem, to do it, but actually it couldn't be done on our budget, so we went with just installing skylights, which look great. But I would have liked to know that before we started (not that it would have changed my mind). Anyway, Pete was able to take us on short notice and fit us in, which we appreciated! We wanted Pete to transform our 70's style kitchen into a light modern room. Pete listened well to our ideas and was able to put what was in my head into the room! It looks amazing. I love my island! The granite countertops are spectacular-- although I thought they were sealed when they were put on, and they weren't, so I had to do that myself. Pete kept us under budget for the cupboards and countertops so that we were able to redo the existing flooring. We had constant contact with Pete, even though we weren't on site every day. His crew were respectful, and did a great job minimizing the impact on the rest of the house. The cabinets and countertops are fantastic. Stripping the floor, and resealing it in a natural color really makes to room pop! The fact that this note is so late getting reported has no reflection on Pete. Just the busy lives of some satisfied customers. I would recommend Pete to anyone wanting a quality job done, within budget.

He never got back to us and ignored the phone calls.

The price was very reasonable. He was personable and accommodating to my schedule. They worked quite efficiently. They did a good job. He was pleasant to have around. There were two workers and he oversaw them.

I did not hire this company. When he came out, he was very frank and told me his opinion which was that I should do a full remodel rather than salvage what I already had. He missed one of our appointments and it is unlikely that I would hire him in the future.

Pete was very punctual and worked with my budget. He was easy to get in touch with and a professional to work with. I will work with him again and am very happy to tell others about Pete's work.

Well I need to say that I found Pete on Angie's List and after doing additional research and calling on several contractors I decided to go with him. Right from the beginning it was a pleasure to work with Pete and his workers. Pete was on time for his appointment, he provided a bid which was exceptional and assured me that working on such a small project was not a problem (his website shows million dollar projects and I was concerned he would be too expensive or consider my job request not worth his time). My biggest concern with my remodel was to make sure that my new garage looked like my existing home. My home has siding which is no longer available but Pete assured me that it would not be a problem. Needless to say the final product was OUTSTANDING! You were hard pressed to see what was new and where the existing building began. The enclosure looks like it has always been apart of the original structure and with the beautiful lighting the affect has added additional style and grace to my home's overall appearance. Needless to say the work site was always clean and did I mention they are super fast! I was thinking a minimum of two weeks to complete the job - the job was completed in five and a half days. It was amazing to come home each night and watch the smooth progress. Once again I can not stress how professional, quick and the level of skill used to complete the work. My family was blown away to see the care and craftsmanship put into the work of my remodel - you would have thought they were completing a million dollar project. I would highly recommend Pete's Construction to anyone and will most definitely use them when it comes time to remodel my kitchen.

This very nice gentleman came to give me his opinion on a possible reconfiguration/remodel of our second floor bedrooms and bath and was able to give me a general opinion as to its "doability" and a "ballpark" cost. I am currently in the process of discussing the project with my husband, and Pete offered to return at any time to get into more detail and and explore the matter further. We have not made a decision yet, but I was impressed by his professional manner and openness and willingness to return. He showed up right on time with a phone call prior to confirm.

I found Pete through Angie's List and wanted him to redo all the flooring in my house. He was courteous on the phone and prompt at coming to my house for an estimate. He took time after working all day to walk through my house and listen to my ideas. I appreciated his honesty and cautiousness on some delicate woodwork that he was not comfortable with. In the end, instead of taking the job just for the money, he advised me and offered me a better way to do the job using someone else. I would hire him in a heartbeat to do the right project in my house!

Pete came highly recommended, he always communicated very well and always gave his honest opinion. The quality of the work was outstanding and he was always professional. I feel like I have made a new friend. We started with kitchen remodel and after seeing the outstanding craftsmanship and value we decided to remodel the whole house. Pete's estimate was the lowest and the quality of the work got rave reviews from all my friends many of whom are or have family in architecture and building industry.

Pete was easy to work with - he did not try to talk us into doing more work than we wished as other contractors had. He understood and was supportive when we had to postpone work due to illness. His team arrived when expected and always cleaned up - we were without a sink for only one day. The granite we chose was more expensive than the original estimate, but we came to an agreeable compromise with Pete.

Pete and his crew are the best. First and foremost; they showed up on time. Pete was the first contractor I have worked with that was on the job when he said he would. We already had a good idea of what we wanted prior to the first meeting. Pete was willing to work with us and help work out some of the details of the project. Because we knew what we wanted, Pete charged us labor only. Please note; the total cost of the project reflects what we paid for labor and materials. The crew was fast and paid attention to the details. By the end of the first day everything was installed and ready for the finish work the next morning. Unfortunately, the next morning Pete found a very small hairline crack in the finish. We discussed it, I was ready to live with it. But Pete said he would pull it out and take it back to Loews for us. In fact, he insisted. I?m glad he did, it would have been one of those things I would have always seen and regretted that I didn?t fix it when I had the chance. I think that is what sets Pete and his crew apart from others; he is willing to go out of his way to make sure the customer is really and truly happy with the work. As I sit here typing this, my daughter is playing the bathtub. I realize we made the right choice in having Pete?s Construction install our new tub that will provide many years of good clean fun. Pete's estimate was the lowest I got. They did a great job, finished on time, and threw in a few extras, such as trimming a few additional doors fixing a few things that needed fixing at no additional cost. They were professional and worked very hard. Pete gave sound, helpful advice to help ensure that we made the best decisions for our budget. The end result is fantastic. We're so thrilled to come home to our new and improved space! We will definitely hire Pete and his crew for future projects.

Pete was very responsive the first time I contacted him. He quickly gave me a bid and was able to start the job in about a month. Pete is professional, friendly and delivers on commitments. The project moved quickly and continuously. There were no slowdowns or time lags due to poor planning. The work area was picked up and swept everyday when I got home. Given the nature of the work being done, the crew kept it very clean. Adding a shower to the room had a few challenges, e.g, slightly elevating the shower to ensure proper drainage but Pete figured out a solution which is both functional and attractive. I've had a lot of remodeling done and Pete's work was far superior to what I experienced with others.

Far better than expected. All work completed in a very tight timeline. Every stage of the work was completed with a sense of a job well-done. No loose ends. Very respectful of my families needs (and budget) throughout the process. I have learned through this process that the most important skill a contractor can have is clear communication. This company has the highest skill in this area. Many changes to plan had to be made and unexpected difficulties came up. All were addressed with complete professionalism and an obvious dedication to finishing the job to my satisfaction. I recommend the services of this company to my closest friends and family. I look forward without hesitation to the time I can plan and execute more projects with them.

Pete came with an outstanding recommendation from a homeowner within my homeowner's association. He pays attention to detail, is professional, honest and friendly. There were no surprises and he did what he said he would do plus a bit extra like putting a bead of caulking on top of the baseboard to give it a cleaner look. He does quality work at a fair price and in the least amount of time. My next big project is to completely redo my kitchen. Pete and his crew will be hired to do the work. I highly recommend him. He has done five flooring projects within my association (all by word of mouth) and everyone was very pleased with his work and professionalism.

Pete gave us clear estimates for the work. Any changes were discussed and agreed upon. Minor misunderstandings were clarified and handled promptly and professionally. The work was done in a timely fashion. The cleanup and any necessary follow-up were done promptly.

The drywall and texture looks better than the original walls in the house. We could not be happier. He and his crew are professional and courteous at all times. Pete went out of his way to help us finish the job within our narrow time frame. Customer service is certainly a forte of Pete's. I felt at all times, his priority was our happiness with his work and our experience with his company. We will definitely use his company again, and recommend him for any remodeling work.
