Pete's Construction

Pete's construction exceeded our expectations. We had complete house remolding. Kitchen, bathroom including floor. The price was reasonable, and we do recommend Pete's construction to other families.

We had the best experience with Pete! He finished the project fast and we love how our home has been improved. He was super easy to communicate with and I liked how he managed his tradespeople.

I would not use this contractor (Pete’s Construction) again. This bathroom project became a nightmare. All seemed fine at first, then came the big push to use what contractor (Pete) had on hand. When I said that wasn’t what I needed/wanted Pete became agitated. I had to push back numerus times. At one point Pete instructed Flako (the main worker) to pack up and leave. Pete later called me and said they wouldn’t be back. I explained we had a signed contract and Pete sarcastically replied: ‘contracts don’t mean anything!’. He wasted a week’s worth of time and finally came back with a bunch of flowers with the following written on the paper: Let it be, Peace. Pete liked to play mind games. He had me set the price on a couple of projects and I said I didn’t know what the price would be. He refused to set the cost. Totally unprofessional conduct for a contractor. Pete disrespected that I was the client and he told me “I’m the boss”! Since I was the sole decision maker, it was obvious Pete felt he could bully me, walk all over me. Pete also liked to play the victim. After refusing to use what he had on- hand, he would ask “why are you doing this to me? I have 6 stents and could have a heart attack at any time’ . Pete made changes without advising me. He changed the depth of the cabinets. Claimed it would be easier for me to clean! (Was that a back handed compliment?) But the longer depth makes it harder for me to reach the towel rack on the wall. After pushback discussions on not wanting to use what Pete wanted to get rid of, I would remind him he would be reviewed at the end of the project – that would have him adjust his attitude a bit. I was just sick and tired of him and wanted him out of my home ASAP. I want this information to be a guide and warning to other females that may encounter any person from Pete’s Construction.

I would not hire Pete as the general contractor. He didn't act as one but rather hired people to do the work and wasn't on site for much of the project except at the end when he paid twice the price to get the job done. I ended up acting as General Contractor and spent $90,000 on the project, so it wasn't small. He is a nice guy but it is my belief that the remodel/contractor industry has changed since Covid and the competition for good workers is challenging, including Pete's own.

We are extremely happy with the work done on our small bathroom by Pete's Construction. It was such a small job that many contractors did not want to bother with it. Pete called us back the same day, and set up a meeting to see what we needed done. Once he saw what was needed, we agreed on a price that was reasonable, and we were able to get started within a few weeks. His crew,Antonio (it was a one man project) did a wonderful job, and arrived each day on time, and he always addressed any concerns we had. It turned out beautifully, and we would not hesitate to hire them again for any future jobs in our home. Pete was great to work with throughout the whole process.

The original scope of the work was to rebuild a bathroom which had been nearly completely stripped to deal with water damage. This work was done so well, we decided to add another project to upgrade our other two other bathrooms, which now also look amazing. All of this was done quickly, professionally, and for a substantially lower cost than I expected. I would eagerly hire them again, and have recommended them to my parents for a similar project.

We now have a wonderful new bathroom, Pete and his crew did an amazing job.

Pete is very knowledgeable, respectful, and responsive by email, text, and phone. He explained what I did not understand and completed the job in the estimated time. I am extremely pleased with the work done. Thanks again, Pete.

I am glad to be able to rate Pete’s Construction’s work & I feel that it is the least that I can do to reward Pete for the wonderful work he has done in my house. The house is completely transformed to a beautiful place that my family & I will enjoy for many years to come. We have finished phase 2 of the project & I can’t be happier with the wonderful results & how beautiful everything looks. I really appreciate all the hard work that Pete & his crew has put into this. Pete is not just the contractor that we hired to do our house, he has also become a good friend of the family. We know that Pete also feels the same way. So thank you, Pete! I have been working with Pete for the last few month on a three phase big project in Bellevue. The remodel that we are doing involves the whole house. We finished the first phase, it is so beautiful & I am so happy with the final results. We finished one bathroom & all the bedrooms new layouts because the plan was to change the whole layouts of the entire house with load bearing walls Etc.. I have gone to see another big project he has done before hiring him & the work I saw was awesome for a house with an incredible water view in Bellevue. Right there I knew that Pete is qualified to do my project. Pete is so easy to work with and he is dedicated to customer satisfaction. I trust Pete so much that I gave him my credit card to purchase all the materials because he only works labor only which gave me the freedom to buy anything I want and Pete’s company only install and make it as beautiful as it looks now. I will post some pictures as soon as I have chance to do so. I recommend Pete to every one without a doubt. I consider myself lucky to have him do my project. Thank you Pete for a job vey well done.

I called for an appointment, and Pete arrived on time. I explained exactly what I wanted done, and what I didn't want done. Pete was very professional and more than happy to work with me to ensure that I ended up a satisfied customer. I had already interviewed 5 or 6 other contractors, and I thoroughly researched each one before inviting them to give me a bid so I had a good idea of the work they had done for others. Honestly, I try to choose a contractor as carefully as I choose a doctor. Within a short time, I felt totally comfortable hiring him to do my remodel because I sensed in him what so many of his reviews mentioned. He wants to do the best job possible, and he doesn't cut corners. He is willing to work with the homeowner as the project progresses. The pricing is totally transparent, so I will be able to utilize contractor pricing and choose my materials accordingly. I can't wait to proceed with this job, and I'm sure it will be beautiful and exactly what I want when it's finished. I have hired him and will update this review when my project is finished.

I contacted Pete in September to remodel a guest bathroom in our house. He agreed to come and give an estimate in an afternoon at 5:30. He never showed up. I called him around 6:00 and he kept saying he would arrive in just a few more minutes. At 6:30, still didn't show and didn't even call. I called him to cancel the estimate appointment. It was enough to see his unprofessional and non-communicative manner. I would not work with a company like that. Not recommended!

Great job! We found Pete to be honest and reliable. He provided a great product. We were especially impressed with his ability to troubleshoot a situation. He provided good space saving ideas. Will use him again in the future.

Pete was not able to help us with this project but did offer suggestion that were helpful.

This is the second time that Pete has helped us remodel this year. (We decided to break down the remodel into multiple remodels for budget reasons). Pete was very attentive to detail during the remodel of the bathroom, and we are very satisfied with the results. Pete helped us increase the size of the bathroom by expanding the size of the shower, which turned out to be extremely beautiful. Furthermore, upon ripping out the floor of the bathroom, Pete discovered that the original subfloor was very bad, and was lacking support posts in the crawlspace. Pete fixed this for us for no extra charge! Any other contractor would charge thousands for the extra work, but Pete didn't, which makes him even more awesome!

We hired Pete after interviewing several people, Pete’s prices were so reasonable, but that was not the only reason we hired Pete . Pete came across as a real professional and he proved that every passing day in the project. He knows his work very well & he has lots of good ideas that we liked, me & my wife. The project went so well beyond our expectations. Pete created for us this beautiful master suite that he suggested to do & designed: Master bedroom with two closets & master bathroom, rather than our main idea of doing our original master bedroom & Master bathroom. Now we have two master bedrooms with master bathrooms in our house, one of them is a master bedroom & master piece of work created by Pete’s construction & by Pete personally. Pete is a pleasure to work with & he is so honest, we trusted him so much we gave him our credit card to purchase all of the materials for the entire project. I can not say enough about how happy we are with Pete, his work, his sense of humor, his integrity & his good work, his professionalism and how easy is to get along with him. Thank you Pete for a job very well done. I will recommend Pete for everyone I know.

My wife and I needed to remodel our kitchen. We have found Pete on Angie’s list. We talked to few others and after we compared everything between Pete’s Construction and three others we decided to go with Pete. Pete and his crew has done a wonderful job on our kitchen that exceeded our expectation. He was on time and on budget and above all everything went so smooth, Pete is a great guy to get along with. He is easy to communicate with. The kitchen is so beautiful now and so open to the rest of the house after Pete and his crew have removed a wall that was separating the kitchen from the dining room. Thank you Pete for a great job. I will recommend Pete to everyone that I know. I just want everyone to know that when you hire Pete you do not have to worry about anything. He took care the project from A to Z with the least trouble that anyone can imagine. Pete is like a breath of fresh air. Again thank you Pete.

We purchased this to determine if a better kitchen layout could be designed. When Pete arrived, he had no computer and made off-hand comments like 'center the sink under the window', 'remove the pot rack', move the stove/oven from the island to a side wall'. He did not provide any computer drawings showing these changes. Our money was refunded from Angie's List as no service was provided based on the service we paid for.

It wasn't what I'd call a great experience and it wasn't a great value. He's basically a high end contractor and I'm just looking for a good value contractor. He's a nice guy and I don't fault him; he didn't mislead me or anything of that nature. From the time we scheduled to the time he showed up it was okay, possibly 1/2 hour late. I think that his interpretation of what he had contracted with Angie's List to provide was different than that what was published by Angie's List. His professionalism was pretty good, but the deliverables were just not what I expected.

Pete was a pleasure to work with: friendly, always accessible by phone, and willing to answer questions and accommodate special requests. You might have to wait a while for your turn to come up in his schedule, but once his crew starts the job, they work all day every day until it’s finished. They finished on time and for the agreed price, which was competitive with or lower than other bids. I had been planning to replace all of my appliances except the range, which was old but still working, but Pete couldn't bear to see an all-new kitchen with an old stove, so he gave me (for free!) a nearly new, state-of-the-art oven/range that had been discarded by another customer. He didn't have to do that, but the guy goes the extra mile. Pete and his crew are working on my bathroom remodel now. So far, it's going as smoothly as the kitchen. Can't wait to see the final result.

As first time homeowners, we had never done any kind of remodeling project and needed an experienced contractor we could trust. Thankfully, Pete was everything we were hoping for. In our first meeting with Pete, he listened to our wants and needs and was able answer our questions completely and honestly. We loved his input and he had some really great ideas and suggestions that we never would have thought of on our own. We were so impressed that we booked him immediately. Overall, the project was pretty painless and didn't cause a huge disruption to our daily lives (we couldn't do much cooking, but we could move about the space and access the fridge and sink). His crew was always punctual, courteous, and did a good job of cleaning the work area the best they could at the end of each day. When we would run into a roadblock on something, it was easy to discuss options with him and come up with affordable solutions (he saved us hundreds of dollars on the duct cover for the new range hood with a custom front that looks really great). On the rare occasions that a minor change or mistake popped up, Pete made sure it was quickly corrected and done to our satisfaction. He was very upfront about all the costs for labor and materials and we never felt like he was taking advantage of us. Overall, our experience with Pete's Construction was exceptional. I would recommend Pete to any of my friends and family in the area. We will definitely be using him again when we are ready to remodel our bathrooms! -Andy and Katie

When we contacted Pete, he was friendly and straightforward. He came to look at our bathroom and laundry room and made some great suggestions to make our bathroom better fit our needs. His estimate was competitive. His crew was extremely hard working and did everything exactly how we wanted it. Pete came everyday to make sure his crew had everything they needed to complete each phase of the work. We would definitely hire Pete again. Part of the reason for the bathroom work was to add accessibility features to aid in recovery from knee surgery. The surgery was performed after the bathroom was finished, and Pete checked in with us to see how the surgery went, and if everything was working out well for us. Which, we are happy to say, it is!

I was very hesitant to write this review not because of his performance but rather I did not want to share Pete with anyone else. An "A" rating does not speak enough about Pete. He is by far one of the most trusted, respectful individuals that I've met in my entire life. We went through some hard times with our previous contractor who we trusted and was actually a family member. But I digress. When I first talked to Pete we immediately hit it off. We literally spoke for an hour on the phone about life, investing and other things. After the previous events with our other contractor I trusted no one. Pete earned my trust by going extra step and mile to make me comfortable to work with someone again. He even invited me to visit him at one of his projects. I even spoke to his client who said nothing but great things about Pete. I knew right then I that I had to hire him. The first day onsite Pete and his Team went to work. In fact, we were not quite ready for him. Everyday his team would show up on time, they would leave each day cleaning up everything...I mean everything. The project stayed within budget and on schedule even though we had a few hiccups along the way. Again, this was a very hard review to write because I seriously don't want to share him with anyone! I've come to know Pete over the last year and consider him family. He is someone that I can trust and to this day we still chat about life, family, etc. I even have him lined up to start on my next project. I promised Pete if anyone wants to see a completed project they are more than welcome to see my house. Pete, my friend thank you for everything. You are a Godsend and I'm very happy that we've met. I look forward to seeing you soon to start my basement remodel.
