I INTERVIEWED SEVERAL CONTRACTORS, AND PETE HAD THE BEST IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR THE PROJECT. HE SAW POSSIBILITIES I HAD NOT IMAGINED AND MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE THAT THE JOB WOULD BE DONE RIGHT. THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT HE WAS OPEN TO ALL THE IDEAS I HAD. SOME WE INCORPORATED OTHERS WE DID NOT AND EVERY TIME I WAS HAPPY I FOLLOWED HIS ADVICE HIS TEAM WAS ALWAYS ON TIME WITHOUT EXCEPTION AND WERE ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS.THE JOB WAS DONE ON TIME AND ON BUDGET AND THERE WAS EVEN A REFUND CHECK I WAS GIVEN BECAUSE SOME MATERIALS "DIDN'T COST AS MUCH AS ESTIMATED" THE BATHROOM TURNED OUT GREAT AND PETE EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS, HE WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE VIA CELL PHONE AND WAS VERY PATIENT WITH MY QUESTIONS AND ACCOMMODATED A CHANGE TO THE SCHEDULE WHICH BECAME NECESSARY ON MY PART. I HAVE BUILT FIVE HOUSES AND DONE NUMEROUS REMODELS THIS HAS BEEN BY FAR MY BEST EXPERIENCE AND I WOULD RECCOMEND PETE TO ANYONE WITHOUT RESERVATION.

We have just started to form a working relationship. He has come and estimated the job and scheduled the work. So far very pleased.

This team is wonderful from start to finish. The contact let me know available time and dates along with their quote. They stuck to the calendar and kept me in the loop and each step of the way. Their work is top-notch. The team is friendly and courteous. They have my future business.

I contacted 4 contractors in April to get bids on this job. Only 2 returned my phone calls. Pete called back within a few hours to schedule a look. After we accepted his bid we were put into his queue. We chose Pete based on Angie's List reviews that were overwhelmingly positive, even though he did not have the lowest bid. We decided that he was the contractor we wanted to work with, and he took our job, even though he said it was smaller than the jobs that he normally did. The work was done in early August. Pete was very responsive to my questions and calls. Pete's crew did a professional job removing the old tub and surround, and installing the new one, and always cleaned up after each day's work. I was told years ago by a contractor friend that remodeling always costs 1/3rd more than originally expected and takes about 1/3rd longer than expected. I think that Pete's bids are higher because he sticks with them and has figured out what a job will actually cost (barring unforeseen problems). When there were any questions about something I was consulted. Pete was very aware that this was our only shower, and worked to get the job done quickly. The only caveat I would give about Pete's Construction, is that the bids do not include materials (which he is very up-front about). He expects customers to buy and supply the major items for a job. This works well for many people, but was a little hard for me. We are happy with the job done, and would hire Pete's Construction again.

I didn't have any work done, just called him and talked about my kitchen. As stated above he gave me suggestions, Very pleasant man.

I requested a quote using Pete's Construction's online "request an estimate" function on the contact us page of his website. When I hit submit, the page indicated that it was at its quota. Fortunately, I had copied my text before submitting, so I pasted my message to an email that I sent to the email address provided. Eleven days later, Botros Raaous, representing Pete's Construction, called me to set up an appointment to review the site and gather information to provide an estimate. The next available appointment was 3 weeks out, which I accepted. However, when I provided my address the caller realized I was not in their service area. Their website indicates that they serve greater King County and beyond. I am located 15 minutes north of King County or 29 miles/40 minutes from their address, so I understand that they would decline my request. I could have avoided confusion if I had included my address in the request or if they stated on their website that they cannot service Snohomish County or provided a service map.

Pete gave me a very reasonable bid on a kitchen project but I decided to work on it myself instead. Meanwhile, he saw my brick siding and told me he had some identical material at his house if I needed more. Since it was somewhat rare and I was planning additional exterior work, this was quite a find. I offered to pay him something but he wouldn't take it and gave it to me for free. Pete is a great guy, very friendly, and It seems that he is dedicated to making his customers happy w/ high integrity. I would use him on a future project, and recommend you talk to him for your project.

Pete came to do an estimate for our kitchen, bathroom and deck remodel. He took measurements and lots of notes, but never provided us with an actual estimate. Very disappointing experience.

I am extremely happy with the work that was performed. Pete and I met to review options and he was prompt in responding with a bid. I like the way that pete works as he doesn't charge for materials or have to put markup on materials as you purchase those yourself... for some this many be fun - but since i knew what I wanted in the kitchen and the bath this worked very well for me and saved me money. I love my kitchen and the bathroom! I liked working with Pete and he is responsive and involved. I look forward to working with Pete again on my next project.

Crew was timely, work progress was steady, they removed the whole kitchen and replaced flooring, granite counter,cabinets, trim, sink, faucet, then painted. Plus they added lighting, and upgraded to all GFI outlets. I am still agog at the sight of our new kitchen......Thank-you Angie's List for helping me find a keeper!

Even though I limited my search to providers that service the Marysville Washington area, Pete stated he did not service the area and advised that I check the zip code of the contractors I call to try to find someone closer. He wasn't exactly rude but he was curt. The service area information needs to be corrected. I spent at least 15 minutes reading reviews and talking to Pete on the phone. This time could have been spent more productively if the service area information were correct for this provider.

It is with pleasure that we write this letter of recommendation for Pete?s Construction. We have been enjoying our new kitchen and bathrooms for a few weeks now?thanking our lucky stars every day for helping us find Pete. Pete and his professional employees have a very high level of integrity. Pete kept his promises no matter what challenges arose. He met his project completion date as well as the estimated cost for the project. He went the extra mile to make us happy. The very first day, in response to our concern for being without a kitchen sink for five weeks, Pete ran to the store and brought a utility sink which we had wanted for a long time, and he installed it in our laundry room that same day. As a result, we were able to comfortably manage during the construction period. Pete and his team had an amazing level of positive attitude no matter the size of our expectations/requests. For example, when we asked if a light switch could be moved to more convenient location, although it wasn't an easy change, they didn't hesitate to take the extra time to do the needed-work to make us happy. Another example: We had dreamed of having a gas stove since we bought our house in 2005. Other contractors didn't want to promise that it would be possible without having us jump through extra hoops, and they were not willing to give us a solid quote for this particular task. Pete, on the other hand, said, ?Sure, we can do it.? We were skeptical at first; however, their attention to detail was extraordinary. We felt they worked on our home with the same level of care as if they were working on their own home. Overall, we don?t think we could have been happier with our remodeling work. We finally have our dream kitchen and two of our three bathrooms are seriously upgraded. We highly recommend Pete?s Construction to anyone considering remodeling their home.

I would recommend Pete to anyone doing work in their home. We talked to five contractors and chose Pete. His prices and his overall genuine drive to do a good job and do the right thing were how we decided. We're very glad with our decision. We took down two walls to open up our kitchen (1950s house) to the living room and dining room, had all new appliances and new electrical, water lines (for fridge), and gas brought into the kitchen. Overall, Pete's staff did a fabulous job. Pete helped us along the way do the design, and he has a lot of great tips to offer while still letting you make your own decisions. The cabinets and granite selection is also great. We are very happy with our selection and love our kitchen more every day. Pete was very flexible with our schedules too, e.g. if we needed a certain thing addressed before we went out of town, moved in, had a party, etc. His guys worked very quickly too, very impressive! My fiance and I were very new to this kind of project, and if we were to do it over again, we would have made sure to have bought all the appliances ahead of time and all the other things that ended up taking time to order (e.g. cabinet handles/knobs, lighting). We ended up having to wait on some of our stuff to arrive. Also, another tip is that we bought most of our appliances through best buy. They pricematch and carry almost everything online, and if you buy a TV, you can finance the purchase for 3yrs no interest. (They also should be getting in high-end appliances some time in 2013. We did buy Wolf & hood from albert lee.) The hardest thing about the kitchen was all the decisions you have to make. Pete is so great to work with that he made things as easy as possible really. Regarding cost - Pete was very true to his numbers too. We didn't have any surprises from him. (Just don't forget you may have appliances or other accessories to budget for.) We'll be working with pete for other projects at our house as we update more things. Thanks, pete!! You're awesome.

Pete's Construction completed a remodel of the main floor of my house and it looks absolutely AWESOME - friends and family can't believe the transformation. And the price was incredibly less than some of the other bids I received. The remodel involved complete renovation of the kitchen to include removal of a load bearing wall to open up the kitchen to the rest of the house, along with installation of new cherry wood cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and accessories. Pete reconfigured the remainder of the main floor converting it from a chopped-up floor plan to spaces that flow, are functional and open up to a huge family room with a great view! Pete's crew was efficient at installation of everything from plumbing to electrical, as well as installation of new windows, doors, hardwood floors, etc. Pete and his crew were courteous and great to work with - actually FUN to work with. They are very adept at their skill, work very efficiently and clean up after themselves at the end of every day - plus,they were always prompt and at work when they said they were going to be. What I really enjoyed about working with Pete was the ability to bat ideas back and forth, drawing from his experience to blend with my preferences, so that I felt comfortable with any decisions. I also appreciated Pete's honesty and he did not "nickel and dime" me on the small stuff or when something needed minor tweaking - I can't begin to list all of the little things they did on their own just to make sure things were right - the pride in their work product was obvious. Pete was even able to comprehend some of my likes/dislikes and sometimes already had his guys making changes even before I had a chance to discuss it with him. A good example of this was when I had to leave town for a week due to a family emergency - I felt totally comfortable having Pete and his crew continue in my absence, trusting Pete to make the right decision on any issues, but yet knowing he would contact me if he wasn't sure, as needed. Having remodeled several houses, finding a contractor who understands the importance of communication was critical to me and Pete definitely believes in communication with the customer. I couldn't have asked for a better contractor and couldn't be happier with the results. I have already highly recommended him to several people considering remodeling jobs and will definitely use Pete for any of my construction needs in the future.

I am a real estate investor and frequent loyal customer of Pete's Construction. In what would normally take a month of back and forth, I can accomplish with Pete in one meeting. I can show Pete my issues with a property, he will give me advice on how to get the best value. Other contractors will just try to upsell me or stay silent when there is a more cost effective option. Pete will offer that info every time. Pete's work looks great when the project is done and holds up over time. I have never had an issue with price escalations or surprises. What Pete quotes is what I end up paying. Using Pete for over a year, I am very satisfied with each of the projects and continue to return again and again. I don't have time to manage a construction process. I want it done on time and with high quality the first time. That is what Pete's Construction delivers consistently.

It went very smoothly. Pete was helpful in getting the carpet from the store. He was punctuate in time and work hard.

Pete came to my home at the appointed time, he measured my counter tops, showed me many samples of granite from which I could choose, and made helpful suggestions. We scheduled a date for his workers to remove the formica tops and another day for his men to install the granite. They did an excellent job, were very tidy and completed the work in a timely manner, just as Pete had promised.

I called and some guy answered by saying "hello", not very professional, but oh well. There was all sorts of commotion in the background and he said "I'll call you right back". Never heard from him again.

I needed to update my kitchen and bathrooms on a budget. I started with 8 or so contractors who are highly listed on Angie's list. 4 got back to me with interest in the project. Of these two gave me bids that were significantly higher than Pete's. All of them took longer than Pete to put together their bid and generally think things over. Pete gave me the initial estimate on the spot. Between the two similarly priced bids Pete's bid gave me more flexibility to choose materials to better fit my budget. The other one locked me into some higher priced materials. I knew I could find better deals. This ended up saving me a couple thousand dollars. I am sure the other contractors would have likely done a fine job. But, they kept trying to upsell me into my dream house. Pete did a good job actually listening to what I wanted and why. Pete went above and beyond to find me deals and do the little things like replacing by base boards in the bathrooms, a larger slab of granite, and other odds and ends even though they were not in the quote. I could always reach him when I needed to. The whole project took two weeks and they never left to run off to another project. Pete had a large selection of stock cabinet and granite options. If I needed something custom (I did not) that would not have been a problem either. The big worry with construction projects like this is that you will get a good bid and then get nickle and dimed when something goes wrong or any small change is made. It is quite the opposite with Pete. He helped me to save money as the project went along and added extras at no charge. Pete and his employees are completely trustworthy. I would use them again without a doubt. I was looking for high quality and a great value for my money. Pete delivered on both fronts.

Pete and his team were a joy to have around. I have two young boys and Pete and his team were so sweet with them. My boys were always thrilled when Pete was coming over. I can't wait to have more remodeling done by Pete and his team.

We have found Pete to not only be a great person to work with, but a great person in general. He is pleasant, always smiling, has high work standards, and takes pride in his work. He truly wants us to be happy with his work. He provided us with what we believe to be a very reasonable estimate for labor, much better than a bid we received from a larger company who subcontracts much of their work. Pete helps keep costs down by passing on his costs of materials without mark-up. He purchased materials, provided us the receipts and then we reimbursed him. We also wanted to keep our hands in the project so he has no issue with us helping shop for materials (e.g., various tiles, lighting, paints, plumbing fixtures, etc). He also regularly suggests less expensive ways of doing something or provides alternative suggestions to our design ideas to help us save money. We have changed our mind on a few things as the project has progressed and Pete gladly makes the change or redid the work with little or no additional charge. His guys are hard working and skilled, doing most of the work themselves, saving a lot of money on work that might otherwise have to be contracted out. Pete is very responsive - we are calling him regularly, including weekends, and most of the time he picks up immediately; if not, he calls back promptly.

Pete was very friendly and personable. I enjoyed talking with him. He gave a handwritten estimate of his labor charges. I knew this did not include fixtures (tub, toilet, lights, faucets, etc) but mistakenly thought the minor items such as nails, spackle, etc would be included. I learned this was not the case, and in the course of these discussions learned that Pete was not including the cost of the shower glass enclosure, despite this being specifically listed as included on his handwritten bid. When I questioned this, he initially did not believe it and I had to furnish him a copy. To Pete's credit once he saw that he had written the bid to include this item he agreed to honor it. Had I used him for the job, I do believe his crew would have done a good job based on our discussions and other reviews, but I felt the best choice was to use another contractor for this project. On a side note, when I started this project I received estimates from 5 different contractors. Most were "labor only" and one was all inclusive (materials and labor). I initially discounted the all inclusive bid because it seemed high, however when I chose not to go with Pete (he was my first choice) I reevaluated the bids and once I applied realistic amounts for the materials the bid that seemed the highest and that I initially discounted was likely one of the most reasonable. I went with that company (work is currently in progress, almost finished) and there is comfort in knowing that I'm not going to be facing additional charges for materials such as nails, sealant, etc.

our experience with the owner, pete, was great. he was professional and he is a professional. it is obvious he really knows what he is talking about. there is no area of contracting that he doesnt know inside and out. pete also speaks several languages and easily communicated with his guys (who were fantastic). it was so nice to able to deal directly with the owner as opposed to have to deal with a lot of middle men or managers who then communicated with the workers. pete was on site frequently and really watched over the project. we initially wanted his company to do our kitchen remodel, but we also asked him to put up lighting for us. done. we needed new electric wiring put in to accomdate for our new speed oven. done. requests for different styles and colors for our cabinets, done. there was never a call made that was not returned. pete even guided me with some home improvement projects I was working on and was very helpful in teaching me some basic home maintenance. we didnt shop around a whole out but with the bids we did receive, pete's was very competitive. remodel itself was tastefully done and the quality of the work I thought was done very professionally. overall, I highly recommend pete's construction and will be definitely considering them for our master bath remodel in the spring.

He is really nice and everything, but we interviewed about four people and we decided to go with a different company. In some cases it was nice because his quote was only for his labor and everything else was on top of that. We could tell exactly what he was going to charge for his services. The down side of that is that there wasn’t a real bid for anything related to materials; things like lumber, nails, cabinets, plumbing fixtures, and things like that would be extra after the fact. There was a challenge in figuring out what the total bid would be.

We are in awe of how Pete and his crew transformed our kitchen. This project was a complete demolition of the old kitchen and starting over. Pete, Fernando and Andy did everything without bringing in subcontractors, and all in less than seven weeks! We knew every day who would be in our home and the progress of the project. They did electrical, plumbing, gas lines, dry wall, installed three windows, cabinets, granite countertops, flooring, lighting and so much more. Pete was very conscientious about the cost and we were always kept informed about how the money was being spent and cost projections for completion. Pete’s 28 years in the business was invaluable. His suggestions were so insightful. His “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it” philosophy saved us a lot of money. Thank you Pete!
