I was very hesitant to write this review not just because of his performance but rather I did not want to share Pete with anyone else. He is by far one of the most trusted, respectful individuals that I've met in my entire life. We went through some hard times with our previous contractor who we trusted and was actually a family member. But I digress. When I first talked to Pete we immediately hit it off. We literally spoke for an hour on the phone about life, investing and other things. After the previous events with our other contractor I trusted no one. Pete earned my trust by going extra step and mile to make me comfortable to work with someone again. He even invited me to visit him at one of his projects. I even spoke to his client who said nothing but great things about Pete. I knew right then I that I had to hire him. The first day onsite Pete and his Team went to work. In fact, we were not quite ready for him. Everyday his team would show up on time, they would leave each day cleaning up everything...I mean everything. The project stayed within budget and on schedule even though we had a few hiccups along the way. Again, this was a very hard review to write because I seriously don't want to share him with anyone! I've come to know Pete over the last year and consider him family. He is someone that I can trust and to this day we still chat about life, family, etc. I even have him lined up to start on my next project. I promised Pete if anyone wants to see a completed project they are more than welcome to see my house. Pete, my friend thank you for everything. You are a God-send and I'm so glad we met.

We needed to updated our kitchen and laundry room and could not find anyone willing to look at the job or give us a bid that was reasonable. Pete came recommended by friends and we are so happy to have met him and worked with his crew. I seriously cannot say enough great things about this company. Pete helped us step-by-step with kitchen layout and gave us excellent options to solve some trickey situations. Pete's crew does everything with such care and detail that my husband and I were extrememly impressed. They took great care in working with drywall, tiling, installing new windows, and electrical. The crew also showed up on time every day and worked the whole day. I could not believe the committment to customer service, sticking to the deadline, and most of all, the budget! The end result is a stunning kitchen and laundry room. Pete and his crew are completely trust worthy as they had access to my home, even when we were out of town, for a month. I am so happy that we found Pete as I now have someone I trust who can work on our next project, bathroom remodel!

Overall it was a good experience. Pete's estimate was lower than the others I received and he provided suggestions to improve the utilization of space. His crew always arrived on time and went right to work. We had no issues with leaving the house while they worked. Pete was very good at keeping me informed and always discussed any issues or concerns. Pete checked in periodically and was always a phone call away. Pete is honest and very conscientious. Any used supplies were returned to the store and removed from the bill. From the beginning of the remodel Pete wanted to make sure we were happy and satisfied with their work. He would fix or redo anything discrepancies to our satisfaction.

Pete is not a designer by any means. There were no 3-D Renderings provided, he even said he JUST got some 3D software. He literally said "But can't you picture it?" when I asked several times for renderings. He is a remodeling contractor, and wanted to sell me new cabinets/counters. I can't judge whether he is good at remodeling or not, but the promotion is a lie. It's basically paying for an estimate in new cabinets/counters. Not what I was looking for.

This was a promotion on Angie's list. I would highly caution anyone from buying these specials unless checking with the provider first. It sounded like Pete wasn't really on board with this promotion and he was so booked out that there was no way I could use his services. I wanted the bathroom design (and hopefully the construction) in a reasonable amount of time, i.e. within a month from the purchase date and conversation. Pete sounded very frustrated by the promotion and indicated that it increased his workload by too much. His tone and demeanor weren't exactly great, so at that point I wasn't all that excited to work with him. Even after that call with him I noticed the promotion was still available on Angie's list. So I'm not sure who is to blame for that....Pete for putting the promotion out there and not pulling it when he couldn't handle the work load, or Angie's list for not consulting properly with the providers listed on this site. Either way, it felt a bit like a scam to me because I had already been charged the money. I'm not sure if I can get it back. I've hunted around on the site but haven't seen a way in which to ask for a refund yet. (I'll keep searching).

Pete was good with communication and the remodel turned out better than we anticipated. His team was good with our dogs who stayed home during construction and even occasionally threw tennis balls for them in the backyard. The project was completed on time and in the price range he presented before starting the work.

The demolishing phase was painless, with lots of care taken to keep the mess as neat and clean as possible. The rest of my house didn't suffer at all. The crew worked long days, hustling to get the job done quickly. Any issues that arose were taken care of as professionally and quickly as possible. Besides knowing what they are doing, I so appreciated the hard work and honesty of Pete and his crew. Leaving them alone in the house working was never an issue or concern. They were polite and trustworthy which is important when people are working in your house for weeks. My kitchen looks wonderful. Pete was very patient and understanding with some changes that I ended up making. His philosophy is making the customer happy, even when it takes some redoing. He is honest, friendly, professional, easy to work with, and hands on. My kitchen is a joy to cook in and its all thanks to Pete and his crew.

From the beginning, our interactions with Pete were great. He's straightforward, honest, and friendly. Plus, he knows his stuff. He gave helpful suggestions that contributed to the design of the new kitchen, and was responsive and personable. We had another company come in and give a much higher bid. The price quoted above isn't the actual price we paid - rather not quote in review - but his pricing was very fair, especially considering the quality of work. Plus, he gives you a labor quote at the beginning that doesn't change (unless you decide to add things, in which case he'll tell you the cost of each change/add and you can decide whether or not you want to do it - we had a few small things like this, but none of them added significantly to the final cost). Pete's crew (2 guys) came on time every day and worked very hard - we were amazed at their progress each day. They were professional, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves each day to try to minimize the disruption to our house. Overall the project came in just under what we had budgeted and TWO WEEKS under schedule, which as anyone who has done a large remodel project knows is wonderful. We are so happy with the remodel and Pete's Construction. I've already talked to him about additional work we foresee a couple years away since we would absolutely hire them again. Our kitchen is beautiful!

The work was done by two of his crew who were closely supervised by Pete. Pete was a great contractor to work with. He had some good ideas about the scope of the project that I found helpful and in general was easy to communicate with. For example I requested some changes in the plan as the work progressed and this process went well. Alfredo and Andy would also check in with me frequently to make sure their work was done to my wishes. I was very satisfied with the quality of their work. The project took about 17 days.A couple of days after the project was completed I discovered that the bathroom fan was defective. Pete sent his crew over promptly to replace it. I would certainly use Pete again for any future project.

We are very satisfied with the quality of work. Our thirty-year old kitchen was remodeled from the studs out, and the footprint was expanded to incorporate the adjacent laundry area. The above cost is not the actual cost, which we prefer to keep private. The real cost was reasonable for the scope of work and favorably competitive, which is why we gave an A rating. Pete was cheerful and easy to deal with. We found him to be honest and hardworking. He was hands-on in all phases of planning and made practical, cost-effective suggestions to improve functionality and ensure that our selections for materials were feasible and attractive. He also kept a close eye on the project as it progressed and he or his workers immediately corrected any work that he, or we, were not satisfied with. He took care of requests for minor changes without nickel and diming us. Out only frustration was a six week delay in start date, but once started the job went fast.

I called to schedule an appointment. Pete said he doesn't cover the Seattle area that I live in. The information on Angie's list should be updated. It says he covers King County and has 7 reviews in this area.

It was awesome, it went great.? It was a really excellent, pleasant experience. The owner, Pete, was great and had a great attention to detail. It was really, really wonderful to work with him. I?m very happy with how it turned out.? He has great customer service. After the renovation was over he still came back and fixed a few more things. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

I found Pete on Angie's list, based on the reviews. We had just purchased a house that needed extensive work done before moving in and we had a timeline to deal with. After discussing my wish list and must haves, he was able to help us budget, plan and rethink our project to stretch our dollar. He took the time to understand my family's needs, prioritize, and plan timing. Through out the stressful times of the project, he went beyond expectations to make things happen, moved his team of workers as needed to meet timelines and he often said he tries to think like the homeowner when it comes to decision making and costs. His crew is trustworthy, takes care of details, and great to work with. We ended up having to move our move in date and he miraculously managed to have the house ready. With the first phase of our remodel done, Pete's returning to help us with the next phase of our project. Thank you, Pete. Couldn't do this without you.

Our first impression of Pete was his friendly personality and great sense of humor. After meeting with him for the initial estimate, my wife and I decided to go with him and not to interview any other contractors. With all the good reviews on Angie's List, we knew he had the professional skills we were looking for, and his friendly personality would make it that much easier to work with him to get our 5-piece master bathroom redone. It turns out picking him was the right decision to get our dream bathroom. His crew was punctual, courteous and skillful. Each day, they arrived around 9:30 am and left around 6 pm after cleaning up. Every day they made great progress. Overall, the project took a longer time than I had expected, but they carefully followed the floorplan we generated in detail and executed everything perfectly. There was no part that they had misunderstanding or doing something that needed to be redone. To me, if they can get everything right the first time and there is no need for redos, then taking a little more time to be careful is definitely understandable. One thing that concerns me was when we were doing the estimate, we didn't discuss the possible cost for materials like pipes, 2x4s, switch boxes, etc. We went over the labor cost and other project costs like tiles, sink, tub, all the big pieces. However, when he bought all other materials (pipes, 2x4s...), we were surprised by the cost (10% of the overall cost). Since he only charged us for labor, we understood that we would cover those materials, but for the additional 10% of the cost, it was definitely not something that we had budgeted for. Originally, I thought I would put this as a negative thing in the review, but when the project was done, this actually became a positive thing of Pete's work. Why? For other contractors, they include all the materials in the estimate/cost, which means the less/cheaper materials they buy, the higher their profit will be. But Pete buys things that he thinks are necessary to get the work done properly, and he doesn't cut corners. So in a way, he has nothing to hold him back from buy anything necessary for good work that will hold up his good reputation. In addition to validating his professional skill, the part that moves me the most was his personality. A big part of getting the bathroom redone was that we wanted to get the bathroom updated so when our first child arrived, we wouldn't have to do any more construction in the house. Pete was able to start our project a lot sooner than when we had first talked about, but it was really close to our due date. So when the project lasted a little longer (over the holiday season), I was under a lot of stress. When I talked to Pete about the time concern, not only did he not take it negatively, he comforted us and sent extra crew members the next day to expedite the project. He said he doesn't usually do this (moving guys from one project to work on another project), but he knew timing was critical to us and he wanted to help. I never believed that a contractor could care about a client's personal life, but he went well above and beyond the project scope and offered his kind personality. The project finished soon after, and we still had a few weeks to get ready to welcome our first child. So a big THANK YOU to him. At the end, looking at the stunning end-product that Pete's crew created, we cannot be any happier. Not only does this bathroom add significant value to our home (which we are most likely to get back when selling our house), but we now enjoy it every day we use it. We moved into our house and were over our heads with remodeling work. We had a long list of projects that we needed to take on in a short period of time. We were completely overwhelmed. We got a lot of quotes and found it very difficult to get a fair bid. Then we met Pete. He was a breath of fresh air -- professional, knowledgeable, and sincerely interested in helping us out. Pete and his crew started right away and did an excellent job. Pete's quotes were exceedingly fair and he stuck to the budget. He also gave us excellent advice about which projects we should take on now and which ones we should save for latter. It is rare in life to meet a complete stranger , and quickly feel like he is a trusted friend. We truly felt like Pete had our best interests at heart. We feel so fortunate to have met him! He is honest to the core and takes great pride in helping his clients.

It was a pleasure speaking with Pete. He was very helpful and was sincerely interested in helping me. I hope to work with him in the future.

When we first called Pete, we were over our heads trying to manage all the details of remodeling our kitchen. Pete's friendliness and confidence immediately put our fears to rest by assuring us that he could handle anything that was needed. Every small complication that arose (as they do with older houses) was quickly and experty handled by Pete and his crew--from building the base for the new countertops, to moving outlets and switches, to fixing wall surfaces, to venting exhausts. Pete was very respectful of our needs and wishes, as well as he added his helpful suggestions. Pete made the whole job worry-free, afforable and easy. The work was accomplished quickly and expertly, with a minimum of disruption. His crew completely cleaned up after finishing, right down to hand-polishing the beautiful new countertops they installed. Pete called a couple days later to make sure we were completely satisfied with the work. We have done a number of remodeling projects over the 28 years we've owned our home, and we have never had any part of it go as smoothly as with Pete, nor have we ever been as pleased with the results. His honesty and integrity are excellent.

We contacted 4 contractors plus Homedepot and Costco. Among all, all things equal, Pete gave us the best quote. He was great to talk to. He made us feel he's on our side, sincerely cares about the final result of the project as well as saving money when we should. We ended up not going forward with the project because eventually what Pete told us upfront was correct. He told us that we should not waste money tearing down the current kitchen. It looks great as it is and no need to change, unless we insist. We did insist, and he gave us a ballpark quote on the spot. We also contacted KeyStone, NewBeginning and Kitchen Plus. All are great to work with and very professional. Still, for the same list of work items, Pete has the best price. Others are anywhere between slightly more expensive to absolutely insane. The highest bid we had is $79K for the same work Pete would do for $45K. After taking appliances cost into consideration, another $20K, we have decided to put aside the kitchen project and start thinking about bedroom and bathroom. Pete is the very first person on our to-call list.

We sent a message to this provider 2 weeks ago, regarding a major home remodel estimate - never heard back from them

We reached out to Pete via email to get a quote on a kitchen/bathroom remodel we are looking to get done. We recieved no response and had to email again two weeks later. He emailed us and told us to call him. I called him and told him about the project and our timeline. He then said that he was booked up all season and would not be able to finish the project before our deadline (that is fine, when you're busy, you're busy and I get it). Then he said that nobody who was "good" would be available to finish the project and the proceeded to ask about what other contractors we had contacted and if they indicated they would be able to finish the job. I found that line of questioning rude and innapropriate. I wasn't sure if he was trying to discourage us from using someone else or trying to imply that just because someone wanted to work with us on our project and within our timeline that they were then "not good" or "not worth it". Very unhappy with the phone call.

Pete and his team (Fernando) did an amazing job. This was my first remodel, and I was a bit nervous about taking all this on, even having gone so far as to invest in an architect to draw out the plans (turns out this wasn't necessary, as Pete has a great eye, and helps the home owner with all these decisions). Pete deeply cares about the contractor/homeowner relationship, so trust plays a big role in the success of the project. For instance, Pete quotes you a price and he sticks to this, regardless of what he uncovers during the process of the renovation (he had to reroute my plumbing, and upon opening up the floor, found the previous homeowner's redo of the plumbing was a complete mess. Even though it took a few more days than anticipated, he never quibbled on the originally set price). Trust on the homeowner side comes in when you sign a very basic contract. Don't expect a big legal document, etc - that isn't Pete's style. The only thing I rated a B was communication. Sometimes it took Pete a few days to get back to me, but he always did and we worked out the details over the phone if not in person. He and his team are very professional and were quite conscientious about cleaning up and removing tarps at the end of each day. Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience, and I'm already thinking about my next project with Pete and his team.

Pete's crew did a very good job in installing the floors. They payed attention to detail and completed the work on time.

Pete is so wonderful! He comes when he says he is going to come. He is very responsive to phone calls. He knows what he is doing. He has good people working for him who are very punctual and hard working. Pete is very good about stopping by several times a week to make sure that the work is going well and to answer any questions I had. He is honest and up front about everything. The workers were good about cleaning up at the end of the day. Everyone is aiming to please. I am very pleased with the way everything turned out. I feel fortunate that I found Pete and he was able to fit me in to his busy schedule.

I called Pete to schedule an estimate for a downstairs remodel job at my house. He came by on a Sunday to check out the job, which entailed a small to decent amount of remodel work (~$10K) but was actually dress rehearsal for a much larger remodel of the kitchen and upstairs once the weather warms up. At the time he visited, he seemed very knowledgable and helpful. When he finished I asked him when I could expect an estimate. He told me a little over a week which seemed about right. I waited two weeks without any response and then called him. He had forgotten completely about the estimate but said that he would come by a second time and give me a price on the spot. He's never showed up. I have no problem with someone who says that my job is too small for them or that their crews are too committed right now to do the work. But just ignoring people isn't a good way to do business. As it stands, he ignored himself out of the first job that will most likely lead to a close to six figure commitment when it's all said and done. But that's life.

He came out and was very nice. We expected to hear from him, but we never did.
