Darren was willing to help with my cost-estimating and respect my requests. The crew did a very good job.

We hired Centex to build two pergolas, one of which required pouring a small concrete slab. They also built a small potting shed for us using only a picture as a plan. The work his crew did was very good and looks great. Darren had difficulty at times visualizing our ideas, but he kept at it until we came together on the design details. His crew was actually the best at converting our thoughts to action. On the other hand, the materials they used (cedar) are not holding up that well (less than one year and we already have several split boards on the decks. And he didn't pull a building permit (my bad for not asking first I guess - shouldn't assume). And we later discovered his crew (accidentally I'm sure) took our 20' extension ladder with them. Overall though their work product was very good.

Mine was a repair job, and I was pleased that it was done with professional, prompt, and respectful actions even though it was not a big or "impressive" project. My new gate and posts look great, and I appreciated the additional reinforcement bars placed on the inside. The work team did not waste any time and exceeded what I expected.
