Description of Work: I had a tub spigot that was leaking. The old pipe was corroded and too short and would not accept a new spigot. In addition, I simply could not remove the old pipe and was afraid I would damage the plumbing inside the wall if I used more force to remove the old fitting. | |James came out and got the old piece off, and then had the right sized pipe to replace the old fitting. If I had done it, it would have taken over a week trying to find the right sized replacement piece, but James had an assortment in his truck and had everything up and working in a few minutes. | |Pricing was not cheap, but then again, most plumbers aren't cheap. So, compared to other plumbers, I guess the price was about average. After that, considering the fact that James saved me from tearing out my wall, which was MY next step, the price was very reasonable. | |Overall, I liked James and liked the work that he did, and requested him again on another job that came up later. I would ask for him again if the situation arose.

Description of Work: James Smith was our plumber -- he did a great job analyzing the problem and presenting a quote for the repairs. Katy Plumbing had us scheduled for repairs within a week. James replaced the vacuum breaker for our sprinkler system and confirmed that the leak was in our sprinkler system, not the main supply line to the house. I will use The Katy Plumbing Company in the future.

Description of Work: Jetted out plugged drainage system in yard. It was more expensive than anticipated, but since it was $200 less than another quote, I should not complain. They signed me up for an annual program, which entitles me to to a 20% discount on services in the coming year. (The 20% discount on this service paid the $100 fee, which is the reason I did it.) They also gave me a 5% senior discount (if you ask). I was completely satisfied in every respect with the service received, and they will be my first call the next time I need a plumber We haven't had any rain since, so I haven't been able to see the drain in action yet!

Description of Work: Replaced toilet flange and raised toilet in master bath after tile work. |Replaced kitchen faucet. |Overall work was acceptable. Plumbers were polite and courteous. Had to have them come back to stop a small leak on the kitchen faucet they installed. Work in master bath water closet was proper but left a lot of scuff marks on walls that required paint touchup. Possibly something that could not be avoided. Would definitely use them again. |

Description of Work: After taking the upstairs sink apart and not having any luck in getting the clog cleared, we had Katy Plumbing come out. The technician (George) arrived while I was out, but worked with my wife. She told me he had arrived on time, very professional and explained everything he was doing. The drain from the AC into the upstairs sink and clogged it up. I rated the price a "C" since that seemed to be the going rate from the other plumbers I contacted. The original quote was for $200, but they figured in a $25 coupon. This was a little on the high end, but went with them due to their Angie's List reviews. Still, since the drain had not been cleared in the last 9 years, it was probably time. I would use the again, but would still check with other high rated business too.

Description of Work: There was a lot to do. First, find where the leaks were coming from. They did when no one else could because it was under the old tub. Installed a new whirlpool. They waited for me to get the tile and sheetrock finished and came back later to finish up with the fixtures. They were very courteous.

Description of Work: Had a leak and wanted to install new hardwear. They were prompt and professional. Unfortunately the new hardware would have needed more work than I anticipated and we opted for just a repair of the leak. They were ok with that and quickly repaired the leak. Will call on their services when we remodel.

Description of Work: Ran main sewer from exterior cleanout to main. Found and delt with root extension on cleanout. They advised that the problem could recur, so I wound up buying a service agreement that got me a discount on that and future work that is likely to be needed

Description of Work: Replaced the water valve for the water line to the fridge. He also provided an estimate to replace my garbage disposal.

Description of Work: they replaced our garbage disposal which also included the placement of the switch closer to the sink. while replacing they noticed a clog on the other side of sink and addressed the issue without additional charge.

Description of Work: Sold and installed a new gas water heater. Came out as scheduled the day after we called, showed us the options and then delivered and installed it. Took about three hours. Very pleased.

Description of Work: Excellent service, but pricey. They were here in two hours to replace a 25 yr old water heater, and were completely finished in one hour. They had a hard time getting the old heater down the pull down stairs, because it was completely limed up and weighed over 100 lbs. I wasn't thrilled with the quality or price of the replacement heater, but if money is no object, then call these guys.
