The Katy Plumbing Company Heating and Air.

This is the second or third time I have used Katy Plumbing. They are courteous, professional and honest. I have recommended Katy Plumbing to my friend and she used them and was quite happy with their service. If I have plumbing needs in the future, I will call Katy Plumbing.

On arrival he looked at the toilet and said it was just a loose connection. I told him I had made it loose this morning to see if I could check the rubber seal but found I did not have the correct tool to loosen the other connection. He hand tightened what I had loosened and said it was not leaking. He subsequently gave us a quote for replacing the sink garbage disposal unit , together with their annual fee cost of $99, the discount provided if we paid the additional $99 and cost for the replacement unit.. Without the $99 fee we at that time believed it was very high, some $380 dollars for the service and replacement part. We did not want at this time want to pay an additional $99 and endeavored to bring the cost down with my 5% senior discount and $20 Angies coupon. The cost came down to $406. Relunctently, we accepted the quote, knowing that the price of a disposal unit was about $100 from home depot.. He then changed the garbage disposal unit and tried to start it but it did not work. He then determined that there was another problem which was electrical. He stated he did not know anything about the electrical work. He also stated that the old garbage disposal unit could possibly still be defective and if he put it back the old unit may not work. We obviously did not know what to do next. He had spent about 1 half hour to do the garbage disposal work. We asked him if he put our old one back what the cost would be and he indicated $250 for ~ 1 hours work. We really had no option but to accept the work done.and proceed to get an electrician later. Prior to him leaving we asked him to check the toilet leak upstairs and he came down and said it was leaking. We needed that repairing and he did the repair within 10 minutes with a replacement part and said the total cost would still be the $406.. He did not charge any more for repairing the toilet leak. This was not a very good experience cost and service wise. Our garbage disposal problem, still exists having currently spent some $406.

I called the company at 8 am Monday and the technician was at the house an hour and a half later. They emailed me a picture and profile of him so I know who to expect (I really appreciate this step). The problem was the water fill hose in the wrong place (hubby's attempt at fixing a leaky toilet). I was charged the minimum service call - much less than I expected. I will definitely use Katy Plumbing again.

Honest, professional and prompt. The plumber came to fix my sink. Discovered that it was nothing serious, charged the minimum and fixed it. I was VERY happy. It is hard to find an honest plumber. I've been ripped off by all of them until now. I am grateful that I found Katy Plumbing Company

Greg provided great service. Worked OT to install water softener and stayed until the job was done. Katy Plumbing was not the cheapest in town, but they got us the softener we wanted at the price we needed. Job well done!

The overall work went well and the job turned out watertight and fully functional. In my book, one true measure of a professional is how they handle a potentially bad situation. In our case, a helper stepped through the ceiling sheetrock leaving a large hole. Thankfully, no one was injured. Katy Plumbing's owner, George Johnson, had a skilled sheetrock crew onsite the next day and the issue was quickly resolved to our satisfaction.

They explained in detail what they would be doing. Including the excavation of 40 lft of dirt & then replace it after the sewer system was installed. Very professional job & very little left to clean up.

The service man quickly cut into the garage wall accessed the pipe and cut it. Then they replaced the copper piping and added a threaded fitting and the new faucet. In the future I would now be able to remove the faucet myself without twisting the copper piping. The service man also walked around the house at my request to point out any other areas that may be of future concern to me.

As I said above, the technician arrived on time and did what I called him to do, repair leaking faucets in the Master Bath. He had all the parts and equipment that he needed when he arrived. He was here about an hour. He repaired the faucets, and they have not leaked since his repair. I will use the Katy Plumbing Company again.

I have been very happy with them. They show up when they say they will, and they get the job done.

They did a really fine and professional job. They came back the next day and put a filter in our kitchen sink and the refrigerator. Everything turned out really well and I would highly recommend them.

I phoned Katy Plumbing using Angie's List as a reference. They came out and bid on the job. I thought it was a bit too much but what do you do; now days, you get what you pay for as they say. I had asked George when I was setting up the appt. if it would be possible the workers could start the same day should I decid to use his company; he said yes, and they did. Greg and his apprentice worked about 6 hours on my project and did a professional job. The vanity would not go up to the side wall for a close fit and Greg pointed it out. At that time I said "OK". After 3 days or so I called George back and requested if Greg could come back and try to adjust vanity table using shimmies. Greg came back about 2 days later and readjusted the vanity, getting it closer to the wall. Caulk was used to fill in the small gap. So now I am completely satisfied spending the extra money for their service. I would use them again. George, the owner, is very easy to work with and wants to make his customer happy, a rare thing these days. Thank you George!

After calling around to several plumbers they were able to get out to us the fastest. We had a broken (completely severed) sewer pipe under our house which had dumped nasty everywhere. It was 5pm... The plumber came, saw the problem, took a trip to Home Depot for a specific part he needed, then crawled back under the house to fix it. I was pleased with the repair and the time it took to do the repair. I would certainly use them again and recommend anyone to do the same.

I'm very happy with them. They are very prompt and professional. As well as knowledgable in their area.

I was very pleased with this company. They are very knowledgeable, very hard working and very clean. They cleaned up everything. They gave me the opportunity to care of an offer where by you put them on a retainer for $99 and everything is discounted. One man came out to do the work and he was excellent.

I really disliked them. It was a simple job. The guy who came to give me the quote seemed to understand. The guy who came to do the job, tried to do the work which was not the part of it. He tried to change the job I discussed with him. The guy who came was trying to tell my wife to use something else other than copper. My wife was confused about what he was doing. The guy who came to give quote was on vacation. He had to come back and do the job himself several days later. The quality of the job done was fine. I’m kind of disgusted with the whole thing. I wouldn’t recommend them to others. I would not use them in the future.

Overall I am very happy with the service. However, they should not have rushed the job so much. In the end it would have cost them less and caused us less stress.

Excellent overall experience. Very professional and courteous service. They worked with my wife to explain the issues and the course of action prior to beginning any work and got on the phone with me when she had concerns that she wanted my input on.

Excellent! During freeze we had a pipe break between the two floors in the outside wall. I had never used them before and was unsure whether they would give a new customer the same attention as an established one during the freeze. They were responsive, answered the phone and came out the next day (we had already shut off the water). They had to cut through the ceiling in the pantry, when the pipe was further away, had to cut through the soffit outside as well. He replaced the pipe and leaky, broken elbow and even replaced the wood outside so the squirrels would not get in. They did a great job, cleaned up their mess, were professional and experienced. I will definitely hire them again.

EVENT: About 9:00 PM, Monday night, 2/7/2011, we found water leakage from the ceiling streaming down the inside wall by our kitchen window. Weather had produced several days of hard freeze the week before, although we have the original old pipes in our 35-year old home. The Katy Plumbing Company completed the late night major repairs within 3 hours. CALLS: We called locally to two of ANGIE?S LIST recommendations: 1) Brad's Plumbing (who only took a recorded message & didn't reply until the next morning) and then also to selected 2) The Katy Plumbing Company, (281) 646-1700, who responded immediately. We spoke to Pat who was professional, patient, & advised that there was a $125 emergency fee in addition to the regular fee. I wanted to clear that with my husband who had disappeared into the garage and Pat waited patiently while I found him. We agreed to this & she said Don would be there in 20 to 40 minutes. Don arrived in less than 10 minutes! COST: He at once identified the area & sat down with us to discuss the cost before beginning. He had a printed book with all fees: "$125 off-hours emergency fee and $314 for leaking pipe replacement, or a value rate of $290.? The book had two rates: value rate and regular rate. By paying $99 for a one-year "USA Membership?, we would only pay the value rate. Membership is renewable at $69 for subsequent years. Don said most customers buy the value rate membership and we agreed. Our total fee (established upfront) was $125 + $290, including parts & labor. We paid by check and ANGIE?S LIST COUPON upon completion, including a $20 tip. REPAIR: Don frugally cut 5 small 7"x7" squares (which he saved for use to stick back into those holes) in wall/ceiling to locate & replace the leaking pipe. (A similarly leaking in our dinette ceiling years prior caused a huge cut of 3' x 3' and had required new sheet rock). Don's replacement was with one long 3-foot pipe (his large truck housed all supplies) working through the small holes. The replacement pipe was plastic, the preferred choice of most customers, not as expensive as copper, but not as corrosive as the original. It is guaranteed for 20 years. CLEAN UP: Neat and tidy (considering the powdery job), Don put down a drop rug and my husband held up a large trash bin to catch falling debris. Don was watchful of wires using a small handsaw. Although it was close to midnight, Don neatly swept up the abundant dust "powder" afterwards with a small whisk broom (although I got out my big broom and collected more). I will vacuum & then wash surfaces in the morning to complete. Don highly recommended a water damage company (Champion Restoration) to dry out the soaked wall before mold sets in & to replace the dry wall. PLEASE COME AGAIN: Don was most professional and pleasant to work with. We will definitely use him again. Three short hours after discovering the leak, we were able to use all water pipes in our house and sleep peacefully.

The Katy Plumbing Company exceeded my expectations. I called this company at 8:30 a.m., and a very cordial and hard-working individual showed up at 10:00 a.m. and never stopped working until he was finished.

After three no shows I fnailly had to call a different plumber. The first no show they called and said they wouldn't be able to make it. The second no show, I called them and they told me they would come that evening. Well, I left work early to meet them at my home and they did not call or show up. I never heard from them again.

On Friday night at 7:30 pm our kitchen faucet broke and I called Katy Plumbers. My in-laws were visiting for the weekend and we needed our kitchen sink to be operable. My sister-in-law said, "you can't call them on Friday night" Of course I can, and I did, and they came out Saturday morning. The warranty on the faucet, previously purchased and installed by Katy Plumbers, was out of warranty. George, the owner told us he would honor the warranty anyway. We were very pleased but he replaced the faucet with a current model (an upgrade) for absolutely no charge to us. We are beyond satisfied. We are elated.

Professional office, friendly plumber, quality workmanship. Fair pricing. I will definately use again.

OK, there was needed to buy an adapter, something about Weber specifications, the price on that adapter was about $60, took like 30 minutes. The rest was for labor and liability, that was reasonable. They gave me the discount for Angie's list.
