Appointment was scheduled for 12/09/14 but they had a cancellation so they called to see if I wanted them to come a day earlier. Showed up promptly as promised and knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it. Even showed me a potential problem waiting to happen and fixed it also. Mark was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and the price was very reasonable. i will definitely use them again. Another gem found on Angie's List.

We needed a plumbing inspection completed with the City of Houston, so our natural gas could be turned on. We called three companies to request quotes, and the Katy Plumbing Company was one of them. They were not the cheapest, but because of their good reviews on Angie's list, we decided to give them a try. All was well with the plumbing and we passed our plumbing inspection, until Centerpoint came out to turn on our natural gas. Our technician, F, left his gauge on and did not put everything back together, so we were told he would have to come back out and fix the issue before we could have our natural gas line turned on. F came out, did as Centerpoint told, and we called Centerpoint out for a 2nd time. Centerpoint discovered a leak that F had missed, so we called our him to come back out and fixed it. I was in a meeting when the F "completed" his work and left me a voicemail, so I called Centerpoint out for a 3rd time. Again, Centerpoint would not turn on our natural gas because of the same leak. I gave F one last chance to come back out and evaluate the issue. He came back to me and told me the regulator would need to be replaced, which is frustrating because I was under the impression everything was good to go after his first couple of visits - I mean we passed inspection! Supposedly, this leak was more upstream than where the plumbing inspector tests, so this is why it was missed. This repair would cost me over $1000 to fix. At this point, I was beyond frustrated and did not trust F's work. I called another company to schedule another quote, and I called the Katy Plumbing Company and explained my issues to the representative. They sent out another technician, M, for a 2nd opinion. The next Katy Plumbing Company technician fixed the leak and corrected the original assessment: the regulator wasn't broken, but the fittings were just loose, further proving that F was not competent enough to perform the job. M came to me after he completed the work, and gave me the invoice, which I had to sign for "authorization to proceed with work" and "acceptance of work performed". After thinking about this over the weekend, I became more and more frustrated that I was not allowed the opportunity to get another estimate and was forced into using the Katy Plumbing Company's service again. The work was performed before I authorized it. I called and spoke with a representative to voice my complaint, not because I was expecting any kind of discount or apology, but because I wanted to bring this to their attention - this is not a professional way of conducting business. The representative told me I should have "refused to sign" and that M is "one of [their] best", as if to say she didn't believe me! This is easy to say after the fact, but I didn't feel I had that option when a contract is placed in front of me after work is already rendered. This left me feeling outraged. After all of this, we still have not had our natural gas turned on. We will be calling Centerpoint again today, and we're keeping our fingers crossed that we won't have to go through this again. I will never do business with this company ever again, and I would never recommend it to anyone. What I have learned from my experiences: - they employ incompetent technicians or their technicians that are out to get your money - they are unprofessional - they have horrible customer service skills and will argue with you (what happened to the customer is always right?) - never trust their first diagnosis and always get a 2nd or 3rd opinion Update on 12/9/2014: Centerpoint has denied us yet again! Even "one of [their] best" technicians couldn't resolve this issue for us. Absolutely ridiculous!!!

Service was excellent. We had to call them out at 10pm and Kurt was at my door within the hour. Kurt explained what Centerpoint had found and explained what action we needed to take. The next day he was back with the permits, made the repairs and had the inspections completed in a few hours. Gas was back on later that day and we were extremely happy. Will definitely use them again.

I contacted the company through Angie's List via email. I received an immediate response. The person who called was very friendly, listened to the problem I had with our toilet, and scheduled the services for the next day or two. The company forwarded a picture of the Plumber and his Bio prior to his arrival. I think this a great security practice. The Plumber did a correct analysis of our problem. He explained the items he needed to fix the problem and within two hours everything was working with no more leaks from the toilet. He also determined the cause of the leak. When we hired a company to install brand new tile in all our bathrooms and kitchen, they didn't pull up what I think is called the flange. Over time this wore down a wax around the toilet.

Had a water leak at the hot water heater (not installed by Katy Plumbing) after hours at night. Called Katy Plumbing to ask for help ASAP next day. They adjusted schedules to work me in for the next morning. They arrived promptly - reviewed the problem with me - set to work fixing the problem - completed the repair in a very professional way and was finished within 90 minutes of their arrival. They are a really professional operation that we have come to depend on for all our plumbing needs without a second thought. Quick, Polite, Professional, and at a reasonable cost. Good people to do business with.

It went really well. They had to go get a part and come back to finish. They returned at 5:30 pm the next day to make the time convenient for us, and we didn't have to take off work for the 2nd appointment.

Property on Silver Cedar Trails, water tank and pan were rusted and must have been the original, they replaced the tank, removed the old and did a great job. Property on Elsinore - tank was leaking, replaced tank, removed old and customer texted me that evening that he was very pleased at the rapid response.

I cannot believe it cost $220 to clear a drain! Then the plumber tried to sell some service contract for $99 Then he wanted to see if the sinks in my kids' bathroom were slow since the AC drained into them. I told him I didn't want anything else looked at, but he tried to explain it again and I cut him off.

I got charged $125 for them coming out on a Saturday for an emergency call - which I was fine with because the person on the phone told me I would get charged for that. At first he could not find the leak. He charged me $138 to walk around the house and then he looked in the broom closet and found the shut off valve (took him approx 30 min to trouble shoot where the problem was). Then he called an excavation crew to come over to dig up the area in the front yard where the water was accumulating - he was too good to get a little dirty so he had to outsource it. Literally, I could have dug it up with a small garden shovel. I just can't believe that I was charged and additional $875 to fix the tiny leak in the PVC pipe. My normal plumber, Richard's Plumbing, worked at my house all day one day to install 3 faucets, repair toilets, etc. and only charged me $500. I will never use The Katy Plumbing Company again. I only wish I had dug it up myself and gone to ACE to buy the $1 part needed so that I could have saved $1117. Very disappointed.

It was a weird request, but after a couple of tries, they got it. Very good job.

Very responsive, prompt and resolved issues quickly. Cost a bit high for minor toilet rebuild.

I had 4 estimates and choose The Katy Plumbing Co. for the following reasons. 1. Their price was reasonable 2. They have A ratings and reviews 3. Their office location was convenience 4. The technician gave me an estimate and does the work himself. Some of the other companies hire a crew of workers. 5. They completed the job in a timely manner according to our agreement. 6. Their customer services are very nice and friendly.

Always a pleasure having Katy Plumbing Company take care of my needs! Mark and Angel were very good in their observation of potential problems, suggestions on repair, and accomplishment of tasks. I stepped back and out of the way while they performed their work. When all was complete, they showed me what they did and I was satisfied. I will always contact Katy Plumbing Company whenever I have a possible plumbing problem.

They were just great. Following up with me, different discounts were provided by them for future repair. Everything was installed perfectly.

We got them off Angie's List. My husband dealt with him. He came in, did his job and left. It's still working. They were just in and out. The price was good. They came out the same day.

Excellent service as always the case with Katy Plumbing. Quick, clean, work with clear explanation of service and findings.

He was friendly, let me know full price before hand. He cleaned up after his work. The price may have been a little higher, but they came out same day with no service call charge, so that was an added benefit.

He began the work immediately when he got there, he inspected,reviewed and related all the problems with the 'under the sink area" with me. I was 99% sure the disposal was shot, but I had not purchased one yet. I had purchased the new faucet and tried to install it but i just did not have the right tools and/or the smarts to know about all the other stuff under there that needed attention. He had a couple of new disposals on his truck, they were different horse power, etc., they were both competitive with the hardware and home improvement stores so I bought the one that would do the trick and he installed it - so that saved money in the long run and i didn't have to take off work again so he could come back and install it. All finished and working better than ever in about an hour and a half! He CLEANED UP the mess and made suggestions and gave me tips about the use of the disposal. Did you know you should not put rice or pasta in the disposal? He showed me how to use the 'reset tool" that came with the disposal. I was so pleased with the overall experience i put The Katy Plumbing Company on my speed dial! They are so nice, helpful and knowledgeable!!

I was very happy iwth the quick appt, the on time arrival and cost. The job was completed in a timely manner, the plumber was polite, the work was quality.

My first call was answered and they were able to send someone out the same day. The plummer and his assistant arrived at the agreed upon time. The company sent me an email introducing me to my serviceman. I like that they wore protective feet cover to not track grass or dirt in the home. He answered all my questions and performed the work

They arrived promptly at 8. Diagnosed the issue. He had to go out in the HARD rain, to shut off the water to the house in order to do his work. Replaced the broken flange that had caused all the water damage. Replaced it with a better quality (stainless steel). This is not the first time we have used this company. I would recommend them to anyone. They show up on time, do the work effectively and well. We are very happy with the service provided.

They arrived on time and went right to work. The sink and filters didn't take long, the rest of the day was spent trying to repair a problem with the tub faucet. They ended up telling us we had to call Moen to get new valve because that must be the problem - and it would take another $600 to take the built in tub apart to replace the valve, if we ever got it from Moen. We didn't mind that they weren't able to fix it - that happens and we don't expect them to be able to fix everything - but to take all day long and then say it's something else altogether - that seems too much. Also, they charged us around $160 to replace filters (we supplied the filters) and about the same to blow out the cold water line - when those took very little time. It's like they had set prices for everything regardless of how long it took. To top it all off, a few days later the cold water pressure is down to almost nothing in the kitchen sink and now a shower has almost no cold water pressure. Our problems just got worse! Sorry, but we are not at all happy with the result, the price or the experience.

Went well, fixed drain issue.

The plan, set up with the office the day before, was for the plumber to show up at 8 AM, and then call me with an estimate after diagnosing the cause of the mystery water on the floor. I could then authorize repair. Based on the high rating on Angie's List, this seemed like a good way to effect repair quickly, and minimize the hassle for my tenants. The plumber showed up on time and made an effort to isolate the cause of the leak. He was unable to do so. He explained to the lady of the house that he did not know what had caused the problem, and confused her greatly trying to explain what might have happened. Then he left. He did not call me, the owner of the house. After 10 AM I called the tenant to see what was going on. She told me he had been gone for over an hour. I called the office, and requested that the plumber call me back. When he called, he started telling me about a crack in the water tank on the toilet that could fail at any time. Then he told me about all the rust he had found on the exterior of the bathtub when he pulled an inspection plate off the wall. The bathtub could spring a leak at any time. I asked him if he had determined the cause of the water on the floor. He said he had not. Then he went on to speculate any number of potential causes. He went back to talking about the poor condition of the toilet and bathtub. He got me concerned enough that I drove 55 miles to inspect the bathroom the very next morning. I learned there is a surface crack in the top inside of the water tank. It does not affect the integrity of the tank, nor is it likely to cause a failure. There is surface rust on the bathtub, behind the inspection plate. No threat to the integrity of the tub. His written price for replacing the toilet is more than twice the bid from an established local retailer.

Arrived on time, in neat clean uniform, introduced himself and went right to the softener. He tested the water, found it to be excellent and then refused to charge for the service call!!
