AMAZING!!! David and his guys came out, on time, and immediately diagnosed the problem. Not only did he confirm, what I suspected, the leak was related to the skimmer basket. He proved it out by flowing water only from the main drain. I was nervous when he said they would have to cut out the skimmer basket (cut thru the pea gravel). Once his crew started the project, we quickly found out it was larger than anticipated. The pool was built with flex hose. The hose was cemented into the pool. As they pulled the old equipment, we also found out they would need to cut the sandstone couping. (This was put in last year in our remodel.) David promised whatever they needed to tear up, they would put it back together and still meet my standards. He certainly lived up to this promise. David and his guys were very nice, very professional. I could go out to see what was going on and they would take time to tell me what they were doing. They didn't treat me as a bothersome client! We have had our pool worked on numerous times in the last 12 years and have NEVER been as happy with a company as we are with Texas Leak Detection. David's card will be the only card in our 'pool repair' file!!! (If this was facebook and I could multi-like, I would!)

Our experience with Texas Leak Detectors- Mediterranean Pools was refreshing. They arrived on time and asked for details of problems with our pool. They wasted no time. Equipment was set up and detection started immediately. They were polite, answered all of my questions in detail until I was satisfied with the answers. They have no problem dealing with women. (A pet peeve of mine. Our pool was built in 1986. As you can imagine, some of the equipment is old. When the leak was found, they explained where it was and what it would take to repair; both in excavation and price. I fully expected a major excavation with a badly torn up pool and backyard. I was wrong. The problem was with our spa. A small hole about 8? in diameter was made inside the spa by a jet and from the top through the coping. They were very thorough and amazingly neat. The problem pipe split. I still have the piece. The repair was interesting to see. I was quoted one price for the evaluation and that fee was applied to the final price. There was a lot done, with my understanding and permission. The price never increased. In fact, I kept asking how much this and that would change the price quoted. Each time I was quoted the original estimated price. Each time I was amazed and unbelieving that there was no price change! As things progressed, I was informed of what they found in relation to the leak and other things that were mal-functioning with our aging equipment. I was given the option of having them replace the old equipment part or have someone else do it. I was given a very reasonable quote that did raise the original estimate by a modest sum. I was shown where the existing problems were. They were able to repair/replace at very reasonable prices. Their work was done in a professional manner. They went above and beyond what was expected. i.e. I expected to purchase new plastic fittings (jets), they acid washed the spa and all the plastic fittings to make them look much better. It looks amazing. (Now I need to acid wash the rest of the pool to make it look as nice!) This was an all-day project. The two men worked hard? I checked on their progress frequently. Before leaving for the day they checked to make sure all leaks were fixed. All equipment was in working order. Repairs looked great. The holes were filled and matched as closely as possible to the surrounding areas and all was cleaned up. The lights were working. The heater equipment has a frozen switch outside, fortunately, the heater works well off the inside computer. He checked to make sure it did work before he left for the day. It was refreshing to see such a good work ethic and pride in their work; wanting to really please the customer. They were professional, clean, polite, patient and thorough. Pool repairs are never cheap but I feel I really got what I paid for and more! If needed, I will use them again! I highly recommend this company.

The company was easy to reach. So many pool companies send you to voicemail since they are out on the road. They were professional and knowlegable. They had fair rates. And they were able to go over the fraudulant report from another pool inspector. The other company said a light was not working and quoted $1,000 for a light. This company found the light functional. The other company said a pump needed to be replaced. This company discovered that the pump was unplugged and functional. The other company quoted $750 to fix a waterfall leak, this compay charged me $300. They really helped us out while we were trying to get our pool up to full working condition to sell our home. The other company listed $5,000 worth of cosmetic and functional repairs all as "necessary". This company listed the items separately as necessary and cosmetic and quoted one third of the price. They were professional, charged a fair rate and did great work.

Mr. Baker and Justin were very professional and responsive; they answered my phone calls, answered all of my questions, scheduled within one week and fixed the problem and cleaned up everything with in two days. Mr. Baker and Justin also gave me some really good advice on some of the things going on with my pool chemistry and equipment.

This person was the only one to come up with several creative cost effective solutions. He arrived on time. He did everything he promised. He was willing to think outside the box. He did finally diagnose the underground leak. He was able to route the plumbing under ground avoiding digging up the concrete apron of the pool. He was the only company to find a solution.

What makes this company different is that they think outside the box! We had a problem with air getting into our pump and we contacted several leak detection services. We paid two different ones $300 to come out and do a preliminary check. Both gave us tips and told us various small repairs that my husband did. This did not solve the problem. When we called back, the first one refused to return our phone calls. The second one offered to come back and drill holes in our pool decking near the skimmers to see IF maybe this was the problem. They quoted us $800 per skimmer to do this and there were no guarantees that this would solve the problem. At this point we began calling anyone having to do with pool installation and/or repairs asking for ideas. One thing led to another and Texas Leak Detection's name was given to us. We called and they quoted us half of what the others did to come do basic checks. When they came, they could not detect anything obvious. They then waived the $150 and came back a couple days later determined to solve the problem. They stayed for nearly 5 hours trying various things. By the end of that day, they had created a new pipe from the pump to the pool in order to bypass the current system to see if this solved the problem. It appeared to do so but they left it for a few days to make sure things didn't act up again in the interim. At this point, they had not charged us any additional fees for all of this work and they had not taken any money from us. When we got back in touch, they also suggested we needed to jackhammer the concrete near the skimmers but they quoted us only $600 for both skimmers to do this (this money included all the other fees they hadn't collected as well) and they also said they would roll over this price into any additional repair work needed. When they finished jackhammering, they discovered we did not have the typical flex hose they expected, we had pvc pipe all the way. David suggested that rather than dig up half of our decking to find the problem underneath, they could instead reroute new plumbing through the garden and lawn thus making easier access for future repairs and also preventing tons of damage to the existing concrete. They quoted us $2,500 for the whole job and again, rolled all past charges into this flat fee. They came out on a Saturday and dug a new trench and installed the new piping. They let it sit until Monday to make sure everything was running properly and then returned Monday to fill in the dirt and repair the decking that had been drilled. The pump is working great now, they also replaced our skimmer baskets, and the area barely looks any worse for the wear. We are very happy with this company and will use them for all repairs in the future. These guys showed up on time for every appointment, they refused to give up when everyone else did and most importantly, they came up with creative ideas of how to tackle this problem.
