The crew was punctual, professional, and finished in four days as estimated in the quote. They moved all heavy pieces of furniture and covered everything to protect from paint spills. The completed work is very nice. I would definitely recommend Signature Effects.

We could not have been more pleased with the quality of the work performed and the professionalism of the crew. They did an outstanding job! All work was completed within the quoted time frame and was also one of the lower bids we received. We were especially pleased with how well the crew cleaned up the work areas at the end of each day and after completing the job. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They came out sometime around last September. They did interior painting. It cost about four thousand dollars. The quality of the work was O.K, but we had a lot of problems with the company. They came out and gave us a written quote. Then they said that they had under quoted the job and charged me a little bit more than I thought I should have. It was a negative score overall. The price that they quoted us was good and then we had that problem. I would never use them in the future.

They do a good job and they are pretty quick up on it as well. They did an excellent job. They made my room look like it was there already. The job was real good. It was fantastic.

They were very good. ?They were on time, they had the job well covered. ?They had a supervisor there at all times I actually would use them again, and I have tried calling, but they were too busy.

Very professional and the crew did a wonderful job. Sylvia and her crew were helpful. They initially did not come on the day they were supposed to start but on calling them Sylvia made some arrangements to get the work done. Finally it was completed on the day it was promised. We observed a patch after the crew left and called the office. Sylvia sent the crew within a couple of days to fix the problem. Really loved the way the team worked.

Got automated email stating my request had been received, and I would be contacted within two business days. Never heard anything. I went with another provider I found on Angie's list because they were able to contact me in a timely manner.

Their skills were excellent. They did a fast job and they did a good job. They did make a mistake to begin with, they got the wrong paint. I had wanted loose paint and I didn't and they had picked up any loose so I didn't catch it until after they had finished and that was for just the wood work. So I called Sylvia and she came out and checked it and sure enough she felt aware of what I was talking about and what the guys had done if they had gone to pick up the paint before they started painting and before they started painting. And when they had picked up the paint they just confused and she came out and saw what was wrong and the very next day they came out and repainted and I'm very pleased with her attentiveness to my problem and it was not something I would say that it was anybody's particular fault. It was just a mistake but she took care of that mistake and it looks great. They did excellent follow up, they have contacted me after each time to make sure I was satisfied when I wasn't they took care of the problem fast paced.

The cost seemed high to me, but it was the lowest bid I got. The Angie's List discount was honored. The contractor arrived on schedule and completed the work to my satisfaction in 6 days with a crew of a half dozen men. They fixed the loose hinges on the door to the garage even though that was not part of the contracted job. They did a good job of cleaning up.

Quality was not bad, however there were a number of areas on the cabinets where the paint coverage was not adequate. The biggest issue I had was that Sylvia did not live up to the deal we agreed upon. When she came by to quote the job, I explained that the previous painter had not sanded the baseboards and that this time I wanted a thorough sanding before painting. Sylvia explained that her company puts a lot of effort in surface preparation and preparation of all surfaces in the house would be a top priority. Because I was having flooring work done after the painting was complete, Sylvia agree to come back after the flooring was completed to touch up. However when I insisted the baseboards were not sanded as originally agreed and needed more work, Sylvia decided she had spent too much time on the baseboards and therefore could not come back to touch up after the flooring was completed without additional fees.

Sylvia was very prompt in responding to my call. She was very helpful with choosing colors. Her team was punctual and tidy. I explained to Sylvia that I was sensitive to the toxic fumes in paint and stain. She reassured me that they would use low VOC paints but that enamel would be necessary to get the proper finish. I had no problem with that as there are numerous low VOC enamel paint and stains on the market. We still intended to vacate the house during the process. When I came to check on the progress they were making, the fumes were so strong I could not even enter the house. When I said something to the painters they did not understand the problem. At that point they had already started using the toxic paints and indicated there was not the option of changing. On the last day of work, which was several days longer than quoted, it was obvious to me, and to the painters, that the long wall in the living area had obvious "stripes" where the sheetrock came together. They assured me that it was the gloss of the paint that was the problem. So, off they went for a matte finish paint. After applying that, there were still stripes, and you could feel the indentations on the wall. So, no shine, lots of stink, and a lumpy wall. Their solution was to do it over again. Really? I had already had to abandon my home for a week, and the prospect of another 3 days or more was just too much. The fumes from the enamel they had used was driving me out of the house. My husband was willing to deal with the situation, so I left town. At the end of this process we still owed them $1450 for the balance of their invoice. My husband did not want to pay them until they made good on the job or discounted the price so we could get someone else to do the work. Out of sight was out of mind for me and i wrongly assumed that my husband had been dealing with them. Until I got sued for the balance. The end of the story is that I of course paid them the full amount. I can now pay someone else to come back and fix it, or I can hang art strategically. It does not take a lot of skill to show up. Or to roll paint on a wall. I can only assume that I am "one of those homeowners" that expects too much. I am a small business owner and I could never get away with this.

We sold our Houston home in August 2013 and moved out-of-state until our new home was completed in December. The builder offered only ?standard? colors which did nothing for us. So, we were looking for an experienced painting company with a good track record that could paint the interior of our new home within a very narrow window of time ? given the movers were going to deliver our furniture only a couple of days after closing (as as is practice, the builder allowed no outside contractors to work on the home prior to closing). In short, if the painting was not completed during that short period of time, we would have had no choice but to paint later which would have been a major headache with all the furniture in the way and the work ahead of us in terms of getting settled. We learned about Signature Effects Inc. (DBA Freddy?s Painting) through Angies list. In late November, I contacted them about our painting requirements. I talked with Sylvia who visited our home during construction in order to provide us with an accurate quote. I was also pleased with the 10% senior discount mentioned on Angies list and on balance, considered their quote reasonable. But the most important requirement was that the work be done within a 3 day window which she agreed to do. These negotiations were all done over long distance as we were still out of state during that time. We drove back to Texas in late December, closed on the property and immediately met with Sylvia to confirm our color choices. She was very helpful and creative ? offering her opinion on which walls to accent with different colors. She was also helpful in terms of confirming our color choices given the way the rest of the house was decorated (e.g., how they matched up with our hardwood floors, granite surfaces, cabinet color, etc.). We took her color advice into consideration and most importantly -- she promised the painters would arrive in 2 days which they did. They arrived on time and were very careful about how they went about their work. They removed all the switch plates which is standard practice. They DID NOT remove any of the phone or cable jacks but were careful to paint around them. They also used a minimum of painters tape to mask their work. But you would never know it. They completed the five room paint job in the allotted two days, putting on two coats of Sherwin Williams paint. They cleaned up after they left and no touch up work was required. We were thrilled with the results. Normally, we would have tackled this painting job ourselves but just didn?t have the time to do so. We were somewhat worried never having used a interior paint contractor before. Would their work be ?as good as ours?? we wondered? Our worries were unfounded. We would recommend Signature Effects/Freddy?s Painting to anyone who wants a quality job at a fair price.

The 2 guys that come out Juan and Jose have been with the company for about 15 years. They are a good team and pretty experienced. The cleanup has been fine. The can get you scheduled pretty quickly if needed.

It couldn't have been any smoother and they were more than accommodating. They were very neat and polite throughout the whole process. The price could not be beat by any of the 5 other companies I had come out. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the quality of the job. They came out and went over a color scheme before the start date which was extremely helpful as I wasn't sure what we wanted. I will be recommending this company to anyone who needs painting. Sylvia was great to work with. Her prices were the best for the work they did. Her painters took care of all my little cracks and even helped install a few items like a door. I will definitely recommend and use them for other construction type work.

I want to start with how pleased we were with this company and that we would certainly use them again. Sylvia arrived on time and was professional and concise . She went through the house room by room making notes on the work to be done. She then gave us a written quote . When the crew arrived they were also on time. The team was friendly and courteous and took great care in handling furniture and protecting floors and furniture from paint damage. Nothing was too much trouble . The work was completed on time and the team left the house immaculate. The paint work was excellent. We would use Freddy's Painting again and would recommend them to friends.

I've used them twice and I got them through Angie's List. They were on time, they did a good job and the price was good. It was a good experience altogether. They were professional. I referred them to other people.

Company owner Sylvia came soon after I called and gave a detailed bid on our job. She noticed exactly what had to be repaired, and listed which colors of paint we had already and what colors had to be matched to repair damage, as well as the paint for the new door interiors and trim. The painter worked hard and continuously for all day, plus 2-3 hours the next day to finish the job. He explained which doors needed to be left open so the paint wouldn't stick, and--on his own--re-hung venetian blinds so we could sleep in the bedroom that night, even though wet windowsills meant the blinds couldn't be all the way down. He didn't use painter's tape, so I did have to scrape some paint around some glass by hand, but he did a professional job over-all. The price for the work was reasonable, and we would use this company again for interior painting.

Even though I didn't choose them for the painting work, I never have doubts about the quality of their work. Yet they have big problems keeping appointment time. For the free estimate appointment, Sylvia was one hour late after the appointment time, and said nothing about it when she arrived. For the color consultation service, she called me 15 minutes after the appointment time, and told me she cannot make it today. When I complained about their punctuality, they actually told me it's because they were providing free service. Well, if they cannot keep appointment for free service, why would I want to pay them for anything?! I consider their reply as highly unprofessional one.

Absolutely professional and wonderful service. Very competitive price. We chose this company because of prior reviews listed on Angie's List - and all of those reviews are correct. Sylvia is a gem - excellent estimator and perfect color coordinator. She had a difficult job to update and freshen the interior of our new home - and she and her staff did a fabulous job. Both she and the painting staff arrived on time, covered and cleaned up everyday, and did the little extras to make sure we were satisfied with their work. Sylvia was in constant contact on scheduling. Plus, the crew had to deal with adverse weather conditions. Polite and kind and just perfect painting. We will definitely use this company again for this type of work.

Everything went great! They showed about on time and began moving the bedroom furniture into the middle of the room and drapped everything with plastic. They started the first coat in the bedroom then moved onto the bathroom. They finished the second coat after lunch and had everything dried and back in place very quickly. The paint job looks great! I would definitely use them again in the future.

Freddy's Painting deserves an A in every category - Sylvia's quote was competitive and reasonable, she was very responsive to any concerns that I had and took quick action to make things right, the crew was highly skilled and the quality of their work was top notch, they showed up on time every morning, worked hard throughout the day and everyone was very courteous and professional. Because it was a pretty big job, Sylvia sent a large crew every day. I was happy to have Aldolfo as the team lead. He worked hard alongside the crew while making sure things were moving steadily. They meticulously covered the floors, furniture, chandeliers etc so everything was well protected from all that sanding and spraying. Adolfo and several others speak english fluently so we had no problems communicating. I will definitely use Freddy's Painting again.
