MET Plumbing

We had a water leak due to faulty/leaky faucet. Brandy/Joanna have been excellent on the phone in scheduling the time slot and giving us the approximate arrival time. Brent/Bill/John were excellent in explaining the issue to us and advising us on the kind of solution/replacement. They visited us four times in total (first time to advise, second time to repair only to find that the new faucet did not have one part, third time to do the change/repair, fourth time to follow up) and did not charge extra at all. They have been polite, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The office called back to ask for feedback and suggestion on improvement. I would certainly recommend this company again.

The company was punctual and professional except the price I was estimated was 3x as much as it actually was quoted. When I gave them the coupon from Angie's List they were annoyed. Which did not sit well with me. He snapped at me and said "Well, I hope you have it on paper b/c we have to go." Luckily it was on my desk otherwise he would not have waited for me to print it out. Even WITH the coupon, it STILL was 3x the amount they said.

They did a good work and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They keep their appointments, they're on time and they hold to the rest of the work. They are reliable, honest and professional and do a good work but they are a little bit pricey.

They are very good. They were very professional and very knowledgeable. They told everything they were encountering. They explained the extent of their covers and guarantees. They answered any questions that I had about the functionality of the equipment that they were working on. They were responsive and were fast. They repainted for their work and cleaned up after themselves. The price seemed high for me.

I would use this company again in the future.

Met was very prompt, showed me the problem and completed the repair in a timely manner. They advised that I would need a new faucet cartridge in the near future. Also advised that a new faucet would be cheaper than replacing just the cartridge. I appreciated their honesty.

Overall, the experience went very well. The only minor hickup was when one of the company owners overruled the original estimated quote and increased it by $200. Regardless of this, we would recommend MET to anyone having plumbing issues. We will definitely use them again for any plumbing needs we might have.

The only thing we didn't like was the price

The technician arrived promptly when scheduled. After I explained my problem, he said he would try to snake the tub drain, if possible. But, the angles of the drain piping were too sharp to allow his snake to move very far. He then attempted to go through the overflow drain, but in process of trying to back the screws out, snapped them off. NOTE: He warned that this might be the result, as the installation was over 10 years old. When that occurred, he then suggested replacing the drain and overflow and associated piping (required cutting into the wall of the adjoining game room to reach the head of the tub). He did the replacement and it seemed to 'fix' the slow drain problem. The cuttout in the wall of the game room was neatly done, and didn't create a huge eyesore, and lended itself to minor cosmetic touching up that would enable us to retain access to the tub in the future if needed. I would use these folks again, however, am wondering if there may not be more economical service providers to be had. But, as i have nothing else to compare to, I'm not sure.

I needed a sink installed with my husband out of town. Instead of explaining my options, esp. a cheaper and easier way to put the sink in since all the ness. shut offs were right there on the other side of the wall. The man who installed it (who was very nice) took it upon himself to do the more expensive option. IE doing all this additional unnecessary plumbing. So well the plumbing was done, some issues were, that they made a mess of the closed wall, even though they had full accessto it through the open wall on the other side, the installed plumbing comes out of the wall uneven, so its not even aesthetically pleasing b/c they cut a big uneven hole in the closed side,(which i will need to fix) and he sprayed in spray-insulation to affix the pipes,(which were still spinning) which i'm not sure is legal and yet it didnt work, so I need to hold the pipe while turning the shut off for it to work, so i can soundly say that for the extra money spent to get the job done while my husband was gone. I'm not thrilled and would look elsewhere next time.

Great came out within two hours of call on Saturday.

The service people were very professional, explaining everything to my husband and myself. They gave us recommendations, but left the decision making process up to us. We never felt pressured to purchase. One of the servicemen even came back that evening, because he was thinking about this job, and wanted to check up on something. To me, that goes above and beyond, as this was past working hours.

Plumbers arrived on time. They explained exactly what they needed to do and how much it would cost before they began work. Upon completeiing repair they restored the work area to its original condition. They were very professional.

They did a great job. They contacted my tenant and tried to clean. Once they realized it was a bigger job than that they came back with more people and even arranged for a drywall person to come and fix the holes in the wall. Marion even sent me pictures afterwards detailing what had to be done. Very satisfied.

Called them Thanksgiving morning. We had no hot water throughout our house. I found that the hot water heater was leaking. I was expecting an answering machine but they actually answered the phone. They told me that they could have a technician out that morning. I let them know that the next day would be better. After some thinking I decided that I would change the heater myself, so I cancelled the appointment. I purchased a top of the line water heater from a box store and disconnected the old one from the water and gas lines. Keep in mind that my water heater in in the far side of the attic in a 2 story house. I recruited a neighbor to help me move the new heater to the attic. After struggling to lift it into the attic with no success after 45 minutes we gave up and my neighbor went home. I then called MET again and they told me they would have a tech out within the next 3 hours. This actually turned out to me only an hour. When John, the tech arrived he was very courteous and professional. I showed him the location and after looking around, he discoverd some other problems. Some were building code related and others were just plain dangerous. After giving a quote I agreed to he began. All throughout the job he kept me updated on his progress. About 5 hours later, we had hot water again. I have used many plumbers in the past which I found questionable, and even some I thought were downright crooks. MET by far has exceeded my expectation and I will definately be using them again in the future..

I had a strange leak on my front porch...I called MET Plumbing, and scheduled a plumber to come out later that same day. The plumber arrived as scheduled to inspect the leak, discovered the source, explained to me what was happening, and gave me my options for repair. Based on the time of day, he advise that he would need to return the next morning to start the job. He gave me a quote for the job, and while it was higher than I had hoped for, felt the price was fair. He arrived timely the next morning and performed the repair with quality work and minimal mess. The plumber was professional yet personable, and I felt well taken care of by this company.

If we have any more plumbing work that needs to be done in the future we will be calling MET. This experience was great.

MET employee showed up before scheduled arrival time (within 10 min) was courteous and professional. Employee asked my concerns and I informed him what the home inspector had told me about the shower leaking. Employee performed the requested test I had ordered, looked behind the walls of the shower and was able to conclude that there wasn't anything to be concerned about. The whole time the employee wore protective booties over his work shoes to protect our floors and was very professional. I was very satisfied with my experience with MET plumbing.

It went very well. Work done with high quality. Price was as promised.

If I have any plumbing problems in the future, I will no doubt call MET.

They came round the same day of the call which was good. Very courteous and professional but expensive. $226 for what amounted to 45 mins on location (unblocking took 25mins). To their credit they did get sign off on the price beforehand but the adult in the household who signed if off would have no idea what was a reasonable price. They would have scored higher if it were not for the price. I would potentially use them again but I would be more careful to ensure I, personally, knew prices up front

.I called MET Plumbing because of the water level in toilet bowl was low - and I would like to have it more water if possible. He said it cannot be done because of the type of the commode - so instead he told me that flapper in the tank was old and need to be replaced. I said OK (thinking if only the flapper will not be expensive at all) but he said it is going to be the flapper valve and the flapper need to be changed - and the price is going to be $266.66 - I was shocked because I did not plan to spend that much for flapper and I tried to bargain but no - can't bargain. I let him do the job even though I did not have any problem with the flapper before because I have guess coming the next day and I do not want to have problem. I still think it is over price.

Company would not provide a quote or an estimate for the tests to be completed. All other plumbers contacted provided this information. I will never hire a company that won't tell me up front what the costs are going to be or at least an estimate.

David came and gave a thorough estimate, discussed options, planned out the work, as it required two visits because our townhouses only turned off the water to the units once per month. David and his helper did all the roughin work that could be done with out turning off the water and showed back up on the day the water was turned off to complete the job. They cleaned up after themselves.
