Katy Blinds & Shutters

Katy Blinds & Shutters did not come out to measure our windows. We brought our old blinds to them, and they measured those, to create the new ones. But overall, the service was fine. They did what they said they were going to do in the time they said they were going to do it. They also didn't install them. I put them up, but when I put them up, the fit. They didn't take any longer or any less time that other blind outfits would have taken. They did what we said and what we needed. They weren't expensive. Their price was aligned with others. They were also timely and the blinds were in on time.

They did good work but their blinds aren't the quality of blinds of what we have. We had them back out here a couple of months ago to look at, put in some blinds around the front door and they were supposed to call the wife and give her an estimate on what it would cost and stuff and my wife still hasn't heard anything from them.

Went well they came and performed the services and the blinds look great

Service and quality were top notch?..that does come with a price though.

The bid was a little more but they are my neighbors, which became my deciding factor.

We LOVE our shutters! Everything was done in a timely manner - friendly service and experienced installers. We will call them again.

One of the company owners personally made two trips to our house. Defective shades were replaced and a refund was given. We are now completely satisfied with the goods and services provided.

Very pleased with the blinds. The price was good. The installer arrived on time and did a very good job. The office was also very easy to work with. A very good experience.

Service responsiveness left a lot to be desired. I called three times prior to getting a return phone call from office manager Donna Ellis. She was quite nice and polite during this call and apologized for the delayed return call as she was out of the office on vacation. She connected me with Romer Austria who proceeded to visit my home, take measurements, and provide the quote. Again, he was very polite and well spoken. I was booked the service to have my arch installed ? when I called Donna to confirm the appointment the day before she seemed perplexed and couldn?t find my reservations, etc. After searching for five minutes or so she located it and gave me a reason why it wasn?t in her system (don?t recall exactly why and doesn?t really matter as it was resolved on the spot). Installer showed up and installed the arch fast (he was super friendly). He did show up without the rod to open and close the window arch and paint to touch up the nails. I had to wait a week plus for this to be delivered (and had to follow up myself to ensure they were still coming). I realize I wasn?t spending 5/6K for shutter blinds and only a 1K purchase, but I still expect to feel like a valued customer. Outside of getting the feeling they really didn?t care one way or the other about my order ? the product is great and excellent quality. I personally wouldn?t send them my business anymore due to their attitude. Just my opinion.

They installed about 8 blinds over a year ago. Did a nice job. The blinds over time became misadjusted, so we contacted them to ask about repairs. They promptly responded and came over to fix the blinds for free. What great service!

I have used Katy Blinds in the past and that is one reason I called them when I moved to a new home. They are extremely professional, punctual and easy to work with. The only reason I did not purchase from them is another blind company came in a bit lower and their Angie's List reviews were equal to Katy.

Two of which already had an existing sunburst shutter. They matched the paint color for me. Shutters came in on time and were installed properly. Installation crew was very nice and pleasant to work with. They look fabulous, and I would definitely give my business again to Katy Blinds.

I e-mailed for an appt. and got an immediate response via e-mail. I then called for someone to come out and that appointment was made in a very timely manner. Wendy, the associate who came to my house, was very knowledgeable and professional and spent plenty of time with me. I had some ideas, but wasn't sure what would work where. She assisted me with the choice of colors and window covering type, and we put in the order. The timing for delivery and installation was 4 weeks. The only complaint I had was that when I called them at the 4 week mark, I was told that the blinds would be delayed for several weeks because the supplier was only just getting the required materials. The delay was not really the issue for me - they obviously knew about the delay and should have called to advise me when they found out. They did come and install the shades, and because I was to be out of town and my large living room window had been uncovered for months, they installed a temporary shade until the blinds came in. They installed the blinds and came out once at my request to make an adjustment. Overall, i had a very positive experience with Katy Blinds and would use them again. I would also recommend them without hesitation. Their price was higher than another estimate I obtained, but Wendy was much more thorough and detail-oriented in the planning and ordering stages, which greatly increased the likelihood that I would receive the final product that I wanted. I am quite happy with my purchase.

The experience was wonderful but beginning to end. Romer himself came out to do our consultation in our home. He gave us options but also was very frank with us about what he would do if he were us, such as purchase basic blinds now and consider upgrading after we had time to get settled into our new home. He was not pushy at all; rather he was informative and friendly. We listened to his recommendations and ordered blinds. He told us we should expect to hear from them within two weeks regarding installation. The only snag we hit was after two weeks we had not heard anything and had to follow up on our own. However, the day we called, we learned our point person was on vacation but our blinds were in and could be installed that week. We made an appointment for that Friday. The installer they sent was also professional, courteous, and efficient. We love our new blinds! We would definitely use them again.

I was very pleased with the quote and the blinds. They were very honest and professional. I asked a lot of questions and they were very helpful and friendly. I was pleased they did not try to sell me more expensive blinds. The installation team was on time and they did a great job.

The service and the follow-up was excellent. The first shipment which were the blinds was delivered on schedule. The shutters are expected to arrive 3 weeks after the blinds.

I called the company. They had someone come out to measure. He gave me an estimate on the spot. The price was about the same as other estimates. I chose this company because there seemed to be no gimmicks. Just straight answers. The shutters came in earlier than expected. They had an installer come out and he did a fabulous job. Very pleasant from the call, to the salesperson, and lastly the installer. Would use them again!

My beautiful blind is installed to my complete delight; works exactly as I wanted it to, and I'm a very happy customer. I now can adjust the light and view to my heart's content...joy reigns in our household. What a difference the perfect blind makes in a home. I would recommend Katy Blinds to anyone seeking window coverings. From the receptionist when you first call, to the saleslady who arrives with samples, they are gracious, knowledgeable and competent. The workmanship is excellent, and the installers are friendly and know their business so well the shade is up and they're gone before you can blink. This is a quality company all around..you can't do better in my opinion.

The blinds were delivered and installed as scheduled. The installers made certain the shutters were installed to our satisfaction before leaving and cleand up all debris.

I was contacted right away and a representative came out and took all the measurements and made the order. After about two weeks, I got worried as no one had called to provide a status update so I called and was told I would be contacted soon. A few days later, I was contacted and an appointment was made for the install. The gentleman was on time, installed the blinds and I was able to go about my day. I noticed the blinds installed in the bathroom were not the ones discussed during the initial meeting. I called to inquire about the mixup and was told that type of blind was not available. It wasn't a big deal and I am satisfied with the work overall.

They were wonderful to work with and very professional when they came out for the estimate. My granite in my kitchen goes all the way up the side of the window and Delia knew exactly how to place the order so that it would not have to be attached to the granite. Because of the difference in the two orders, there were actually two sets of installations. The initial visit and both installation teams were prompt, clean, and very professional. I was originally told that the shade would take about 2 weeks and the shutters 4-6 weeks, but my initial visit was on February 1st and everything was completed by February 22nd. Everything I experiennced with this vendor was an "A". The shutters are BEAUTIFUL! I would definitely recommend them.
