Eric came out and service our central air system and diagnosed our problem with high humidity. We also had a issue with our mini split system that needed a through cleaning. After the installation of a new thermostat and a deep cleaning of the in room condenser for the mini split, we were left with a cool and dry home. Eric was very knowable and was able to cure our problems in a short amount of time. Thanks!

Danny came same day I called, wore protective covers on his feet, went straight to work. Found defective parts that kept the heater from operating efficiently. He had to do quite a bit of driving around to find the needed parts due to suppliers being out of stock. No extra charge for the time. He reported on mold in the plenum and offered a fix for the problem, which would be expensive but he didn't hard-sell it - just provided info and answered my questions about it.

They did an excellent job. It didn't take him long to do the work. They were able to come at a convenient time.

It was really good. The offered a full manufacturer's warranty for the unit, which covered their work since they were certified for the brand. I got 3-4 other bids. Throughout the bidding process, no other company impressed me as much as this company did.

They did a consultation to confirm that the upstairs unit wasn't working. They wrote us up an estimate for a replacement fan. They had to come back because there was a lot of noise coming from the fan motor. When they came back out, they acknowledged that they used a 3rd party fan motor instead of a Traine. The work that they did was fine, however, I wish they had given me the option for the OEM motor up front.

My wife handled the scheduling and it went okay. She stayed home during the installation as well. It only took a day or less to do the work, and the company sent 2 techs to do the work. They showed up on time. It worked fine over the following summer. They put in an Armana unit - my son, who is in the HVAC industry typically doesn't use this kind of unit & I would've chosen a better unit myself.

Our air conditioner stopped cooling and we called for service. The technician came the next day and checked the freon and replaced several pounds. The air conditioner cooled that evening but the next day stopped cooling. We called back and the technician came the same day and realized there was a leak in the system. He checked the condenser coil and found that it was leaking and needed to be replaced. They quoted the price and it was reasonable and we had the work done. The air conditioner has been great ever since.

I came home from a business trip to find that the inside of my house was registering at 86 degrees. Call several of the AC services in my Angie's list Houston West Edition booklet. Ideal Air Services was the only one who responded on a Saturday. They told me they could have someone out by the end of the day. Anthony , the serivce technician, called before he came and was at my house at the time he said he would be there. He was courteous and professional and explained to me exactly what was wrong with my AC. He replaced the non-functioning part and my house immediately began to cool. I would recommend Ideal Air Services to everyone. Special kudos to Anthony.

The service agent came at the earliest time of the scheduled two hour windows. Due to transposed phone number, he did not get ahold of me before he arrived. That was no big deal. Once he arrived, I took him around to the compressor and he checked the Freon and it was full. We then went up in the attic and at first he could not find anything but then reached over to the far side and found the transit section of the return had been sucked in. It was pulling heat (about 120 degrees) into the ac unit. He showed me what it had happened and proceeded to fix it. Once he was done, I went down stairs and turned the ac on and it blew very cold. Before it would be lukewarm at 10:00. Now it was staying very cool. When the house heats up inside, the circulating air still keeps it enjoyable. Afterwards, he suggested I call them back in the fall, when it was a lot cooler, to do some regular maintenance that was not needed this time and he suggested some work that could be done. The whole time he was with me, he was explaining how the AC worked and what to check for. I received a very good education on AC that I had not considered before. Would I use IDeal Air Services again. You betcha" There was nothing he did that I did not approve of.

We've used Ideal 8 times or so over the past 6 years. They're always quick to come out and on time. They clean up after themselves and explain the work done. They work hard to stay in your budget and not get wild about the most expensive approach. Today I called because our upstairs unit wasn't cooling like I thought it should. They were able to come out within 2 hours! They cleaned the units, recharged coolant, and advised about approaching issues to watch for.

The crew along with James arrived on time and immediately set to work. I have access to the attic via a drop down stair and the first thing they did was put a big canvass cover over the whole floor area and also protected my stairs. The crew all wore coverings over their shoes. It took about 6 hours from start to finish. Three zones were installed, one for the guest bedroom over the garage, one for my master suite and one for downstairs. James recommended a Heppa filter which they installed at the same time. When the work was completed, James spent about one hour going over the three zones and testing both heat and air. Then a brief overview of the three thermostats and how to use them. I could not be happier with the results. I am no longer apologizing to my guests for not being able to cool or heat the guest bedroom and I no longer have to get up on a ladder to replace the air intake filter in the ceiling. BUT MOST OF ALL, my utility bills are literally half of what they were before the zoned AC and heat. I use Ideal twice a year to service my unit and they always show up on time, cover their shoes and cover the floor. Service and price are the best. Would recommend and have recommended them to anyone who asks.

Water was filling the A/C drain pan and dripping thru the overflow pipe. He cleared the p-trap which had become clogged with algae, etc over the years. He was polite and informative and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. He covered his shoes to prevent tracking. He gave good advice for preventing future problems. I cant really think of anything bad to say about the service on this occasion.

Excellent service. Came on short notice, had parts on hand needed to complete the job. Very friendly and helpful. My new HVAC service provider.

Good thing I left work early - the guys called me to say they were on the way - and got there 1/2 hour early. And I can only describe the repair experience as awesome! Turned out the problem was the same as had occurred before, but resolved by some other company. Not only did the guys take care of the problem, they told me what to do to keep it from happening again!!! And they were extremely courteous. I'd call them back in a heartbeat; they'll be the ones I call wnenever I have an HVAC problem! If you had provided the choice of A+++, that's what they'd have received - a plain old "A" isn't good enough!!!

The firm and their representative were very punctual, professional, cordial, and informative about the whole procedure. I am a retired engineer and was very curious about the whole procedure. The technician didn't mind me looking over his shoulder and asking questions about several unfamiliar pieces of equipment in my system. He explained It all very courteously and didn't charge me extra for my help (HA-HA). A very pleasant experience and I even purchased a twice a year tuneup/checkup agreement to check out my system prior to the seasonal A/C or Heating cycle. He was also very neat in taking precaution to minimize loose dirt and debris from falling onto the floor and even cleaned up thoroughly after. WOW! I can't honestly comment on any type repair work they might do as the technician only came to my house to do a checkup/tuneup and THAT he did extremely well! I therefore can highly recommend this firm for checking out your system any day!

I called them up to schedule the appointment. I have a home downtown and they performed a heating inspection on the unit. They were on time, they also covered their feet before they came in the house. They explained to me what process they would be going through. They continued the inspection with a gas check. They found the water heater needed a few changes made. The recommend that I call a plumber to fix the problem.

We called them out on a Saturday because the a/c wasn't working at all. They arrived within 3 hours, and Danny was extremely courteous and professional. He was very neat and clean, and found the problem to be that the blower had stopped working. He promptly picked up the part on Monday when Trane was open, and installed it within 45 minutes. We were very impressed with Ideal Air and with Danny. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Fabulous experience.

I've used them before. They are very easy to deal with and they always come back if there are any issues.

For quality and workmanship above and beyond, look no further. I have never, ever had a contractor take so much care in analyzing a problem. Two visits to our home before a contract was signed. One by a lead technician and one by the owner. Our house is a 1.5 story and very difficult to cool. We were expecting to replace the duct work, but never dreamed a contractor would invest their own time in redesigning the air flow in our home. Now, 6 weeks later and our home has not been this cool in decades! We are enjoying our energy savings which will pay for the work performed in less than two years. I cannot say enough about the quality of work and their professional and friendly ethics. They sealed air leaks left by the original builders dating back to 1975. I can go on and on.....but pick up the phone and call Ideal Air. You won't regret it.

The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I feel like we have good value for our money. The quality of work was excellent. We have an on-going relationship.

I had an home energy audit done on my home and found that I had a 50% leakage on air ducts. Before deciding on a company, I read a lot and talked to people about replacing duct work. I called Ideal Air after receiving a flyer and reading about them on Angie's List. When Danny (Ideal Air rep) came to talk to me about replacing the duct work, he explained to me what he could and may not be able to do (have an air duct in a tight area). He gave me options and pricing, also he told me how my AC was not working to its full potential. He reconfirmed everything I read and heard, therefore decided to go with him. Since I had increase the size of the AC earlier and not made any other changes - the size of the duct work had to be changed. He went back to the shop and recalculated the duct work. Afterwards, we talked and he informed me that he had not quoted me part of the job, but told me that it was his fault and the price would not increase. He also informed me of potential problem because of increased air flow (maybe loud from the supply ducts) Ideal Air came - replaced the duct work and added another return air grill. The job went well - the crew was efficient, clean, and quick. The duct work was well done. He did not talk to me about any extra service or product, other than what I asked him. I never felt any pressured sales pitches, I felt like I could call him at any time and did. Bottom line: would I call this company? YES, most definitely!!

The service was prompt, courteous and professional. Everything checked out fine at the time. In response to what appeared to be excessive drainage coming from the overflow line, the technician blew the line and put algicide in the pan to dissolve any algal clogs that might be causing the problem. HOWEVER, several weeks later, I experienced severe problems: the A/C compressor burnt out and the upstairs coils developed a leak. The repair man I called at the time was highly critical of the jacket that had been placed around the compressor --although to be fair, he conceded that the blanket may not have contributed to the failure. Additionally, it was discovered that the cause of the system failing to drain properly was a plug that had been deliberately placed (cemented) in the pan drain line, causing all draining to route out the emergency pipe. I IN NO WAY BLAME IDEAL FOR THE SABOTAGE, LET ME BE CLEAR --I blame instead the shady repair man from last summer --the drain problem had been ongoing from that point. However I am disappointed that the technician did not catch this when he tried to blow the line. For that reason, I am hesitant to use them again.
