Description of Work: You need to purchase separate voucher for each AC units you have. The total was not such a good deal for the work performed.

Description of Work: The person who came out said the unit was low on refrigirant. Offered to put 5 lbs. and it would cost $500! He also said it had a leak it might not hold the refrig. He tried to sell me a new unit because he said the current one was too old. I only paid $49 b/c I had a coupon from Angie's List. Another company that finally came out thru a home ins. we have, put 4 lbs. in the unit and charged us $40!!He also told us that the unit is old but is better made than the new units. He suggested I not replace it unless it developed a leak of some kind.

Description of Work: They came out to service heater and find a smell that was in the air when it came on. The service technician was very nice but didn't seem to know much about the Trane system we had. He spent two hours trying to find what was wrong and could not figure it out. When I asked what do i do now. He said I guess call Honeycutt Air. Which is a trade dealer. That is what we are going to do. The situation was not fixed. I don't really feel like everyone was very knowledgeable.Was very dissappointed .I did not have a problem with anyone I thank to they were all very nice.

Description of Work: Went ok - they missed their appt due to confusing instructions on call back and I missed the call confirming. I told them they need to make it more clear that they are going to call even though you have made the appt and confirmed it when you did it that you would be there.

Description of Work: The initial call and setting up the appointment went well. The lady was very nice and accommodating to my schedule - very pleasant. The tech that came out was also very nice and pleasant. The problem came when he realized that my main unit was not in the attic with the air ducts, but was on top of the roof of a 2-story building. After calling his office, he said they would discuss whether they had ladders tall enough for our roof, and his office manager would call me about it. She did call 2 days later to say that they could not help me, they were so sorry, and they realized that they need to clarify in their add that they only do residential with units on the ground. She said she would contact Angie's to let them know of the problem and that Angie's would contact me. I heard from Angie's 4 days later about filling out this form. He also sent a list of other a/c companies that I might use. On that list, almost all of them work only residential and only one had a deal close to what I had with Brazos. I haven't called them yet to see if they can "leap tall buildings in a single bound...". My other problem is that I took off work for this time and don't really have another day coming any time soon. I was very disappointed with my 1st time to use Angie's List. My friends say it's the best thing in the world. Hope I can say that someday...

Description of Work: Checked the A/C system (spring check up). Added freon and explained what was needed. He was very professional and knowledgable. He explained in detail and it was obvious that (he) the company wasn't out trying to make money and/or pressure you into a service agreement. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Approximately a year ago I contacted this company because I received some literature from them regarding a solar panel supported A/C system. We did not make the switch to the solar system, but during their inspection of our present system, they found two problems, one of which was potentially dangerous. We had them make the changes, and I entered into service agreement with them. This gives me a discount on any work that they do. I think that this is money well spent, as my system is old and will soon need changing. Last week I was contacted to arrange to have my Spring check up done. I received a phone call last week reminding me of the appointment, as well as an email informing me, with a photo, the name of the technician that would be coming. I also was called about 30 minutes prior to his arrival, to let me know when he would be here. He wears shoe covers in the house, and seems to be very thorough. After each visit, I get to speak to the owner, or someone in the office to give my opinion of the work done. I like the fact that this a family company, and not a franchise. They very much care that the customer is happy.

Description of Work: I had an older air conditioning unit that was being serviced by the company that had itstalled it quite a few years ago. They came out twice this past summer to add freon and then the unit just quit. Their only offer was to replace the whole unit at a bid of 12-15000. Even though i had a service agreement with them, I had lost faith in them and decided to try Brazos Valley Services. I called Monday evening and they offered to come in about two hours but we opted to have them come in the morning. They called in the AM and schdeuled a window of 10-12 and were there when they said they would be. Anna, the tech. was one of the most professional I have seen. She examined the system thoroughly and made some repair recommendations pointing out where the problem was and suggested remedial and repair action. None of the techs from the other company appeared interested in trying to find the freon leak, but Anna found the leak and it was not in the coils as the other company tried to say, but was in the schrader valve. She found the leak, fixed it and replaced the necessary parts on the starting circuit, cleaned the coils and was finished by 3 pm. They definitely have my future business and I will recommend them to anyone who needs service. Another important note is that they do not work on commission as the previous company but are paid a flat salary so they are willing to take the time to troubleshoot and give you the best possible solution. I could not have been happier with the way they responded and the quality of their work.
