Very thorough and gave me understanding of my fireplace. Never used one before so I very much appreciate taking the time to teach me.

Included for free was a very nice long handled, brass fire starting tool and the turn key at the gas connection near the fireplace. The total price includes power washing the chimney on the outside of the house and a needed additional repair at the top of the chimney. He taught us how to light the fire, gave advice on keeping air flowing through the embers and a recommendation on a screen and where to shop for one. This is the third time we have used this company. It is the only company you will ever need to keep your fireplace safely and beautifully burning. As soon as we get our screen, I will add a photo.

Ted returned the next week, as scheduled, and made all the repairs to fire bricks, installed new flue and cleaned chimney. Work was done professionally and care was taken to keep personal items from any debris or damage. Ted was very courteous and appreciated our business.

Very smoothly. The were respectful of my home and finished in a timely fashion. They explained their processes clearly. They were fair and requested one half of the payment up front and the remainder at the completion of the work.

Wonderful job He gave me a price of 2400.00. They came and done it in one day! They had to take the bricks out from the outside of the house and replaced all with the same bricks as you can't find that kind anymore. Very impressive! I found them to be honest ( NO HIDDEN FEES) what he bids is what it is! Very professional, clean and punctual! GREAT JOB !

Ted replaced a Chimney Chase Cap that was leaking into the chimney (and garage) when it rained. Called him on Friday, he came out the same day and gave a quote, and was able to install the cap on Monday. His price was SIGNIFICANTY better than the other quote we received. Very friendly, very professional. Would recommend and would use again.

Found Ted on Angie's List. I expected to set up an appointment for later in the week but Ted was in the area and was at my door in 30 minutes. Ted went up on the roof and did an inspection and quoted a price and as luck would have it he was available the next day to do the work. We decided to replace our old gas fireplace insert and logs as well. I called around for estimates and Baron's was not the cheapest. However I've had issues with calling bigger companies for different services and nobody would even get back with me or show up if they said they would. So I would rather pay more for a self owned company where the person does what he says he would and shows up. Ted Knight called the morning of to remind me he would be here today then called again once he was nearby. He was 30 minutes early and did the chimney and dryer vent clean. While he was vacuuming the chimney, he suggested I changed the sand and amber underneath the fake logs. He gave me the price and asked if I wanted it done. When he was done, he came back in with the invoice. He was honest and told me the way my vent pipe was angled and exited out the roof and my roof being so steep that the lint will have to be blown away by the wind. Second thing he said was he expected to get more lint out but due to the angle, he doesn't think it was all cleaned but he did the best he could.

Ted was on-time and called beforehand to let me know he was on the way. He took the necessary precautions to protect our furniture and flooring before beginning the cleaning. Ted walked me through how to use the new gas starter. I appreciated that part because I have never used that feature in our fireplace. The whole process took under an hour. I will definitely call Baron's Chimney Service for any service we need in the future.

Really pleased with Chimney service, we had a leak inside and Ted's crew said it was due to a crack in the crown. They came and repaired the chimney. At the time when we made the appointment, Ted was ill at the time and couldn't come, they said they could recommend someone else, but we wanted to wait to use them since we had seen good reviews. We are pleased we waited.

It was fast, and Ted was very clean. I was reassured that the fireplace was working properly and safely in my new home before I lit it up for the first time. I would definitely use them again.

I asked for a last minute service appointment (less than 36 hours) and received a call right away. Ted came out the next day. Ted also called prior to appointment to let me know he was on his way. He completed the service and inspection with minimal disturbance to furniture and flooring. There was very little dust and debris. He was finished within the hour.

Ted is incredibly professional. He did the work when it was 95 degrees outside, but he never complained about the heat. He split the job over 2 days, and on the second day, torrential rain started which lasted for a week. Every day he called me to tell me that he would return as soon as the weather cleared. (He couldn't weather-proof the brick in the rain, of course.) As soon as the rain stopped, he was at my house finishing the job. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others. His prices were pretty comparable to the 2 other companies I interviewed, however, he included the replacement of the gas logs, which, in the end, made him the best "bargain." HIGHLY recommend.

Ted called me back on the same day I called him. He then came out exactly on the agreed upon date and time and took the appropriated measurements of the chimney for its new cap and gave me a written quote for the work that would be done. The following week he came back again on the agreed upon day and time and removed the existing chimney cap and replaced it with a new cap and then at my request painted the trim so as to match the other colors of the house (I supplied the matching paint). He then swept and cleaned the interior of the chimney which was very dirty. When he was finished with the job he removed the debris and took it with him leaving the area clean. In summary the 2 tasks (1) replace the chimney cap and (2) clean the interior of the chimney went off without any problems and in a very timely and professional manner. Ted called ahead each of the two days he came out to advise me that he would be coming which I very much appreciated.

Ted was fantastic! He was prompt, careful, safety-focused, and patient. He took a lot of time explaining how to work the gas and the pilot light. I am very pleased with the service I received.

Arrived early. Completed job in a timely manner and cleaned the area afterwards. Explained how to use gas logs and cautioned about any gas smells, etc. Very personable and experienced. Kept area clean while performing work. Cost was fair and worth every penny. I feel safe and satisfied that job was well done. Gave estimate on other work if we decide to do it.

Baron's did a great job. He was on time, professional and got all the work performed quicker than he estimated. There were several repairs needed on the fireplace/chimney inside and out. The top of the chimney was repaired with new concrete, a new cap was installed, mortar was added/replaced on brick on outside of chimney and inside the house the fire box was rebuilt and repaired. Would definitely use Barons again. Was very pleased with all the work!!

It went really well, Ted arrived exactly when he said he would. He asked me questions about the home, took a look at the chimney and updated me on the condition and history of the time it was built. Then he covered my wood floors and brought in the equipment, he warned me in advance about the noise and smell, then he went to work. It took about an hour or so...he noted the gap between furnace and brick and sealed the hazard. I don't keep wood around the house, so when he suggested those log bricks, that was right on time...they look nice. He came out and installed those quickly and fixed the screen on top of the chimney to keep the animals out, I get birds and squirrel in there all the time, it's always chaotic getting them out. Ted fired it up and made my 35 year old chimney ready for winters again, can't wait to try it out.

Called Ted and arranged for him to look at my chimney. He turned up on time and is a very amicable person, he looked at what I needed gave me a price and then installed within 30 minutes. Job looks great and I will call him first if I ever need chimney service again.

I think that he had so much experience in doing a very specialized repair. I have actually looked at others from Angie?s List and outside and this one was a good experience. They were very great.

Ted Knight from Baron's Chimney Service came out on very short notice from me and removed an old chimney cap that was falling off and rusted through and replaced it with a new chimney cap. I was concerned that because the old cap had fallen off that rain and animals could now get into the house. Ted was very responsive to my request and assisted me the same day that I called him (he mentioned that he was working in the area which does not diminish my gratitude for his quick service). Ted explained to me in a very professional manner what he was doing and also what repairs/improvements I might want to consider in the future. Also, his price was very reasonable.
