They were very helpful over the phone. Gave the most competitive bid for the work. ($185 to repair the valve). And even gave me hints on how to do it myself. They were also the quickest available to get the job done. Luckily, I did the replacement myself and saved money. But I will definitely call them in the future with my other sprinkler stuff that needs repair. Fortunately it's not urgent.

I called Rodney because my neighbor had used his service and was very pleased with him. I checked him on Angie's List. He is not a member...yet, but other members have rated him. I found him to be excellent in his knowledge, service and general advice about my lawn. His wife and one other helper assisted him. I could see that they knew what they were doing and gave me their best possible service.

I couldn't tell that the sprinkler heads were adjusted. The valve was replaced, but there was still a big leak right next to it. The technician was in a big hurry and not very friendly or helpful when explaining things. We had to point out to him that the other leak also needed to be repaired. They later explained that after replacing the main valve and turning it on, then can't always tell that it's a leak or just some water being blown off. So, they had to redo some piping to get the second leak repaired. One of the sprinkler heads that he straightened out showed a big leak the next day. I called them about this and they did come out and fix it that same day without charge. They also adjusted one of the sprinkler heads at that time. Of course, I had asked that all the sprinkler heads get adjusted, but at that point, I was just happy to get what I got from them. The quick and free service the following day helped make up for the poor service the previous day. The owner, which returned the next day, explained that they were extremely busy and had more work than they could keep up with and that's why they are in such a big hurry. That's good for them, but that shouldn't mean that they are allowed to be rude or give bad service.

Jim and his helper arrived an hour early for our appointment, apologizing for being early and asking if he could start work. I agreed. He checked the PVB valve, saw it was split and told me he would replace it and some above ground plumbing that was not up to code. He completed the work, wrapped the new piping, checked the sprinkler system by running each zone. Work took about an hour.

The Back flow valve was broken off the pipe extending above ground. Water had to be shut off to the house to stop the flooding in the backyard. I contacted Jim at Allied and asked if he was available to come by and fix my problem, he told me he could be by the next day. I explained it was an emergency that I had to cut the water off to the house, he immediately said he would finish up the job he was on and drop by the house on the way to the next job. He promised to be here within an hour. He showed up as promised, fixed the problem in 15 minutes. Professional and customer oriented, Allied will be my first call in the future for any lawn irrigation work in the future.

I had another sprinkler company tell me that the entire zone needed to be replaced for $650. I called Allied Sprinkler to see what they had to say. I have used them previously and should have called them first. Live and learn. Originally they said it would be 10 days until they could come out. They called back in an hour to say they could fit me in that day. They fixed a broken pipe, replaced two rotors, checked the entire system, and made sprinkler head adjustments where needed. They were gone in under two hours. The zone was repaired, and I saved a lot of money.

Allied Sprinkler & Repair is a great company, because when they came out they were honest with me, up front and to the point. I found them very professional, polite and courteous. They did an excellent job installing the sprinkler system and the price was very reasonable. That made me happy. They care about the customer and focus on doing a good job. I would definitely recommend them and I will use them again.
