DJ's Custom Cabinets

Don with DJ’s Custom Cabinets did a wonderful job on a very large cabinet job. He got it done when he said he would, was easy to work with, the craftsmanship was superb and his communication was excellent. I’d use Don again in a heartbeat.

Clayton arrived at scheduled time. Assessed the issue, the cabinet above the island with vent a hood in it was separating from the ceiling and itself. He told us what he needed to do to fix the issue. He completed it in a timely and professional manner.

We had paid top dollar for our kitchen cabinets from another cabinet maker and they were supposed to be custom. They were a disaster - we needed to have someone come in and fix all the issues. We called Don and he made things right. We would definitely use him again.

Don was utmost professional, listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done according to our expectations. The finished piece was absolutely beautiful.

His cabinetry and built ins add a lot of high end customization to our home. Every time Don wraps up a project I try to figure out what I can have him come back and build next time. His installers are detail oriented and also do quality work.

Don made us sturdy, well built and beautiful cabinetry. For us he built a new kitchen island, a bookshelf, built-in, and over the toilet cabinets. It is by far the best built cabinetry in our house. Don is a professional who takes pride in his work. Anyone needing quality, DJ's is a great choice.

Great! He listened to our needs and drew blueprints of the cabinets, then contacted us to discuss anything we wanted different. His work was outstanding!!!

The work was accomplished with much precision and quality even though we were not sure of all the design elements at the beginning of the project. Very professional guidance from skilled craftsmen yielded a work of art that will be treasured as long as we own the house. When it came time to install the cabinets they were delivered well protected and installed without blemishes to the surrounding floors, walls, and ceilings. All of this was done in a well mannered polite atmosphere with both craftsmen as well as installers. A very desirable element to us was there were only 3 trades required; cabinet maker (including complete finishing in the shop), electrician, and glass maker/installer. This was cost efficient.

I went in person and took the drawer with me. It did take a little time AND material to fix the drawer, but he did an excellent job at a very reasonable price.

They did a wonderful job and actually exceeded my expectations. I plan to use them again in future remodeling jobs.

Don built a new pantry with cabinets and shelves in my existing mud room. He did a great job of communicating, worked with me on a custom design for a built-in dog crate, and was always on time when we met to talk about the job and day of installation. Don and his team installed my new pantry in one day, was great about giving me options for installation, and left a clean job site once they were done. Don will be back in 3 weeks to install some new kitchen cabinets. Can't wait! Thanks Don!

I've used several different cabinet makers in the metroplex but since we found DJ, we have only used him for all of our projects. His quality is unmatched. You will not find a better cabinet maker. He works hard, builds the most beautiful cabinets, is fully trustworthy, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else but him!

I emailed DJ on February 19, 2018. He returned my email on February 21st saying he would work up a bid and get it to me. If I liked the bid, he would come to the house and work up a more final bid. I never heard from him again.

Upon receiving our estimate, Don was booking pretty far out at the time. So the wait for him to get to us was a little longer than I would have liked. But once he was able to start our job, he did complete the actual construction in a very timely manner.

This was the second time we used DJ's custom cabinets. In our previous house, Don had built cabinets for two bathroom remodels. We liked his work and so used him again after we moved. He came out and discussed with us what we wanted and provided an estimate. After we agreed on a price and scope, he came back out to do final measurements and confirm all the details. After that we were on his schedule. It took several weeks to complete the job - but when everything was installed it looked great! Material quality was very high and Don made sure everything was installed well. We had them installed un-painted and had them painted after installation by a different provider (so painting is not included in cost noted here). Don does great work and was able to build exactly what we wanted. We still have some more built-ins to add later and won't hesitate to use him again!
