Not only did Bill Joplin’s company give us a very competitive quote over the phone (I had already researched what I wanted) they also came out the next day and confirmed their quote and installed the unit the very next day. Everyone from their company was professional and courteous, I cannot say enough positive things about our excellent experience.

+ 0 moreRuben took the time to see if he could fix both problems without simply replacing parts. He was able to fix the leak by the gas lamps mounted near my front door and the faulty valve in the living room fireplace without replacing expensive parts.
Description of Work: Someone smelled a natural gas leak by my front door. Ruben Vera checked for the leak and he checked our living room fireplace. He repaired the gas leak by the front door (gas lamps) and repaired the problem with the living room fireplace.

+ -1 moreI had no heat on one of the coldest days of the year. The dispatcher assured me there would be someone out today. 4 hours after I called I had a technician at my door. He quickly diagnosed my problem, explained that he need a part he didn't have on his truck so he need to go get one and that he would return in approximately 45 minutes. 45 minutes later he was back with the part and fixed my issue in about 15 minutes. My only complaint was that they didn't explain that they use flat rate pricing. It was $99 just for the technician to come out and do a diagnostic. I did get a new customer discount of $50 off.
Description of Work: Replaced the Hot Surface Ignitor in my gas furnace.

+ -1 moreWe have been with them since we had our house. They were the people who originally put in the equipment in the house. It was in August 2000 when we started using them. We have been satisfied ever since. It has been really great. It was excellent.
Description of Work: We have been using Tempo Mechanical Services. We have a contract with them and they come out every six months to do preventive maintenance. They inspect once in the spring for our air conditioning unit to make sure it will work for the summer and then once in the fall for the winter check up of our heater.

+ -1 moreWe had them at our previous house and I really like them. I still like them, but I am not just a hundred percent positive if all the people that come out to do the work are of the same caliber. The service calls usually take quite awhile. It can take anywhere from two to four hours. Now if somebody comes out and it is really quick, that is when I get concerned. We had them at our last house and then when we moved to this house, we did not have anybody for quite sometime. It just seems like when I have somebody servicing those items, just keeping them going, and checking on them, I do not have as many problems through out the year. In fact, I do not have any problems throughout the year. Since we live in an area where it gets really hot and you run those things a lot and you do not ever open your windows, you need to have them serviced. It seems to prevent unexpected problems.
Description of Work: We use Tempo. We have an agreement with them and they service us twice a year under the agreement. They come out in the fall and service all of my heaters. They go through and inspect to make sure that there are no cracks that we would have to worry about being exposed to carbon monoxide. They make sure that they are functioning properly; that they fire up. When they come out in the spring, they service all my ACs. They clean them. They check for any problem. They flush them.

+ -1 moreKong and his assistant were very professional and knowledgable. I will see no one else for my HVAC needs in the future. This guy is GOOD! You know he is competent when he walks in the room. Tempo is a great company. It's been awhile since I had the work done so I can't remember the details but what I do remember is that he diagnosed the issue very quickly but not too quick. He had spot on troubleshooting skills and showed me how much it would cost right away. He had the part in the van and I was up and running in no time. Awesome job!!

+ -1 moreI gave them an F earlier but they tried hard to make it right. They sent Will out the second time. Will is an excellent servicer. He was able to trouble shoot the problem quickly while the first servicer sent out was clueless. My husband figured out a fuse had been blown but said there was a reason the fused blew. The guy said it would cost us another service call if he had to go buy a fuse. Will had to order the parts since our unit was older. He could not get there on Monday as it was storming. Once he got there on Tues. he repaired the unit and we were back in business. Will was experienced, professional and knowledgeable. I thought the price was a bit high and would have thought they would take off the first service call off the total charge. They did give us 10% off the repair which was fair. The first servicer should not be sent out on calls. He might be okay as a helper but did not appear to know what he was doing. Tempo thank you for making it right. We would use your service again provided that you send out someone who knows what they are doing. I gave you all a B rating because of the price for the repair everything else was an A rating. You all might want to work on giving the customer some idea of when someone will come out. The first time we waited an entire day for someone to come out. The second time Will came out when he said he would. Thank you

+ -1 moreThe Spring checkup for my 3 central AC units was completed 2 days ago. The technician was Khuong Do. He was very thorough. He was very respectful of my home. He replaced my air filters. Unlike other technicians Khuong Do took the dirty filters with him instead of leaving the dirty air filters in my house. I also paid him to install 2 programmable, wi-fi thermostats. In the Fall I'm going to insist they send Khuong Do again for my 3 central heater units checkup. I feel comfortable with Khuong in my house . When he leaves I'm confident I got my money's worth.

+ -1 moreIt was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I thought they priced a little too much, but it was pretty good. They got the work done. The repair was $402 plus the Big Deal price of $49 so I spent $451. They were all okay, they came on time, and they seemed to know what they were doing. As far as I know, the work was satisfactory. I thought the additional $402 was a little expensive and that was my only complaint. The work was done on September 10 and I sold the house in December, and there wasn't any issue up until then. I would consider using them again, but I would try and check around with other people and compare.

+ -1 moreThe service was phenomenal. They arrived on time and not only installed the new units, but re-did come of the duct work and fixed some leakage that existed. At the end, the technician walked me through the new system and answered any questions I had. Overall, it was a great job and I look forward to lower electric bills in the summer!
Description of Work: Installed 3 new A/C systems (both the compressor and condenser for each system). Additionally, media filters were installed and a new return added in the master bedroom (the old return was in a bad position). The old system was 18 years with original Seer-10 units. We upgraded to Seer-16 units.

+ -1 moreIt was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were great. They were able to define the problem quickly and replace the broken part. They were really busy but they made time since we had a heating unit out. They were very professional and they knew what they were looking for. They were able to diagnose the problem pretty quickly. I would recommend them to anyone. They had actually installed the unit originally in the house before we bought it. By luck we got them again so they still had the records. It was a great experience. They have tiered pricing. It was a little expensive but if I was to put my unit under warranty I would go with them because their tiered pricing for a gold or silver member looked like it was excellent.

+ -1 moreI had the leak in the AC unit and I called Tempo Mechanical Services for the checkup. Guy came and said "water is leaking because pipe is blocked" he recommended to clean the pipe to fix the problem and charged me additional $90 for cleaning. It did not help with the leak and it was still leaking. I called him again and he said he is not sure why it's leaking. I had to call another company and they said leak is because of the rusted coil. I took another opinion to make sure diagnose is correct. Third company also said that coil is rusted and needs to be replaced. I got the the coil replaced which fixed the leak. Tempo Mechanical Services wrongly diagnosed the problem and still charged me money for cleaning the pipe which was not needed and I ended up replacing it anyway with coil.

+ -1 moreWhen the office finally returned my call from Saturday morning 9:00 am. The representative informed me that the 49.00 quote only was toward service repairs not toward service fee. She informed me the service fee $99.00 and then I could apply the $49.00 toward any service repairs. When I told her it was from Angie's list she stated I will have to check with my manager about that. At that moment I did not feel I was a valued customer of Angie's list. In addition, they could not get a technician out to my home that day, I was told" we"ll have to fit you in". Then received a call back after 4:40 saying we will have to re-schedule you for later in the week. Hello, it's winter time and I have no heat temp that day 36 degrees. I would like a refund please. Thank you.
