Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Requested Alex Rodriguez because he did the same work last year & was fast & professional. Appointment was set between 8-10 am. He called at 8 am to ask if he could come a little later that morning, which was fine. He asked if he could text me when on the way, which he did, came at 11 am. Very polite & efficient worker, doesn't get on the phone & have long conversations while the clock is running. Gave me an estimate of $225/hr before he started working. Finished in an hour. Had $20 coupon off. Will use him again.

I have not had very good luck with other plumbers so I chose to go with them. I think that they are a little overpriced but that is worth it because they guarantee everything for a year.

Professional provider, cleared pipe in 5 minutes and showed me the camera results. Provide a quote with a detailed explanation of the work that needed to be done and why. In total he was here for about 30 minutes. Price was really high. The pipe work quoted was $1375 which I had another company out to do for $700.

Technician was professional and did a great job. I felt the service was over priced. I asked how much cleaning the main line would be when I made the appointment but was told they couldn't give me the information without coming out. The technician later informed that it was a set price regardless of time spent. Had I known the cost prior to making the appointment I would have gone with a company with more competitive pricing. The technician said that he was sending someone out with a camera because of a suspected problem in the line. I confirmed with him twice that the technician with the camera would be here the same day. I took the rest of the day off work and the guy never showed or called. It's very disappointing that I wasted my time waiting on someone who never showed.

The service was pretty good. They do not have any specials for Angie's List and the cost was kind of pricey. Their estimate was almost double what I had gotten from a different service provider but that company was unavailable when needed.

A couple weeks ago I called Roto-Rooter they could not give me any kinds of estimate over they phone so I did not use them because I was scared to be ripped off (happens all the time). So then I choose a company that had no reviews, they were the only other company that answered their phone in the middle of the night. This company gave me a price over the phone so I went ahead to use them, IT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE!!!! SO PLEASE READ THIS...............So now two weeks later the same bath clogged again and now I have to spend more money again. I call the original plumber who was not on time, who did not bring proper tools, who did a awful job. Now he want to charge me all over again!!! what a surprise! I decided to call Roto- Rooter this time. So I ask the most important question: Do you have a machine driven tools that will go over at least 120 feet and do you have warranty? To both answer it was YES. Since the estimate was free and there is no obligation I book the appointment. Chris and Daniel show on the schedule time. They brought the large drain cleaning machine. To begin they did a great job explain about what they are going to do. Since I had a bad experience before they took extra time to ensure my concern was taking care of. They also send a camera into the drain to show me the condition of my drain so I can be aware what to do, what not to do. And if there is anything that need additional attentions. I don't usually write reviews, I want people to know so they don't make same mistake as I did. I was totally not happy that they can't give me a ballpark price over the phone. But now having going through what I went through - look at the prices on these reviews, they usually give you an indications what they charge. Good Luck

My drains clogged up on a weekend. I called roto rooter and they sent a repairman out. He used a and quot;SNAKEand quot; to unclog the drains. It took about an hour for him to do it. The service was ok but extremely expensive even for a weekend. I will not use them again.

Great! The customer service was friendly on the phone when I made an appointment on Sat morning. Luckily it was Sat when I had this problem because they charge more on Sundays. They had someone available the same day in 2-3 hours. The company customer service called me again 1.5 hours later saying the technician is on his way and will be there in 30 mins. 15 minutes later, the Roto-Rooter truck pulls up. The technician was professional and courteous, the price was in the range of what I expected. He listened to my husband's jokes and even joked along. After clearing the sewer line, we asked the technician to take a look at an old tub facet drip to get a quote. He recommended that, due to the corrosion around the facet, replacing the whole tub fixture would be cheaper if we were planning to remodel anyway. The corrosion could cause the fixture to break during the dissemble. Another thing to note is that he took care to put on shoe covers to protect from dirtying our floor. I really appreciated that. I'm very happy with the service and will be a customer again if/ when I have another plumbing problem.

.It was wonderful. The company sent Kodi out to our home after a terrible experience with another company. We had a plugged toilet in a small powder room that my husband couldn't free with the plunger. Since the drains from our kitchen are on the same line as as the powder room, we couldn't use the kitchen or the bathroom. Roto Rooter sent Kodi as an emergency call, very quickly, the same day we called them. Kodi is young but very knowledgeable and professional. It took him 4 hours, but he knew what he was doing, contrary to the plumber who came out earlier from ARS. He was very careful about what he did so he wouldn't damage anything in our home, was very polite and did a great job. Our house is over 40 years old and the plumbing can be a problem, but he stuck with it until he got the job done. We will never call anyone else for our plumbing needs again. A+++++

The company sent out a technician - Alex - the same day I called. He was professional, efficient and neat! He unplugged the drain and restored my tub to normal.

I was very happy with his service, I just thought their prices were a little high.

The repair was made correctly, nothing leaks. They are very reasonable for drain pipe clogs, but not for regular plumbing repairs.

This is a great plumber, and Kelvin is a great representative for them. Another plumbing company had left their rooter equipment in our sewer line when they hit a root near the cleanout valve and would not try to clear the line ($300 for nothing). Kelvin immediately went to the opposite end of the line and cleared the roots AND the other plumbing equipment out of the sewer line. He used the camera to see if it needed replacing, which it does soon, and gave us a very reasonable estimate to do the work. Roto Rooter (and Kelvin) came to do the job, not to not do the job in such a way that we would be forced to spend thousands of dollars prematurely replacing the line (as the other plumbing company did).

This company should be removed from Angies List and should not be in business. I've had nothing but problems. Ranging in missed appointments, shabby work and no desire to take responsibilities for their actions. I gave them numerous opportunities to resolve issues and each time I was disappointed. I believe in second chances because we are all human and make mistakes. But the service I received from Roto Rooter was beyond mistakes, it was irresponsible and bad business.

They were fantastic. Their price was reasonable and they had great customer service!

It was fabulous. When they came in April I really thought I was going to pay extra but I didn't. The prices are good, they are courteous and I had wonderful service.

We have never had a problem. One thing I like about them is they will look at the situation you have and give you a quote without charging. I have to pay a little more for the service when I get work done but I get what I pay for. I am a very satisfied customer.

They finally found the problem. It was very good service. They were very polite and very professional.

They did a fine job. Everything turned out good. They came when I expected them to be here and were on time. The guy was very helpful!

Had a clogged drain under our furnace in the hallway. Vent pipe leading down to a larger drain pipe was stopped up. My husband tried opening it himself with a tool but the stoppage was too hard to get through. So we called Roto Rooter. Steve Ray showed up within 2 hours. (Acceptable, as this was not an emergency.) Received a call from the office with an ETA, which Steve far exceeded. He was there within minutes. He was able to get through the clogged drain with no issues. Some of the best money we've spent. We have used this company before, and they have always been responsive.

I don't understand why they keep cleaning the main. Feel there is a problem under house.

I had them give me an estimate (it was a free estimate as well) to fix an under slab leak. I had them look at several options. They were prompt courteous and the master plumber took his time to explain the options to me. He also indicated that it was not necessary to fix the problem right now due to the alignment of the pipe. It was in my favor. Due to the inconvenience of having my floor torn up and the fact it was not necessarily a major issue now, I opted to hold off on doing the work. The bid they gave me was fine and I will have this done in due course. I will likely use them due to the actual plumber that would do the work. He was very helpful, honest and was very clear with his explanations. I had received an estimate for similar work that was substantially higher from another provider. I think the Roto Rooter estimate was more in line with what I expected and what a foundation engineer told me to expect.

Overall the process was fairly quick; they were done within about 2 hours. They cleaned up where they had been working and didn't leave a mess.

In December of 2011, my water bill jumped from around $60 per month to over $1000. There wasn't an obvious leak that explained the spike, and the city water department determined that our meter was functioning properly. Unsure of what to do next, I began searching plumbing companies on Angie's List. On December 19th, before I'd contacted anyone to come out and locate the problem, I came home from work to find water gushing up from the ground surrounding my water meter box. I called Roto-Rooter because they were close and could send someone that night. The plumber, Kyle, came when he said he would and diagnosed our problem quickly. Although it was nearly midnight, he stayed and performed a temporary fix to get us through the night, explaining that he could stay and do the full repair, but I would be paying the higher after-hours rate. He came back the next day and completed the full repair at the regular rate. As a single mother, I greatly appreciated the fact that he cared more about my needs as a client than about how much money he could make. He had to dig a fairly substantial hole to repair the broken pipe, and instead of automatically filling the hole back in, he offered me the opportunity to do that part myself, again keeping my budget in mind. Not knowing one end of a shovel from the other, I gladly accepted his services in filling the hole and putting everything back to rights. It's now April, and we've had no leaks and normal water bills since Kyle's repair. I would definitely use this company again... and would probably request Kyle as my technician! Thanks, Roto-Rooter!

I called Roto-Rooter to come out and unclog the kitchen sink drain on a Sunday morning. The operator was polite and professional and was able to get someone out within two hours. The plumber was also polite and professional and fixed the problem promptly. Although the price did seem slightly high, I was not charged any extra fee for a Sunday visit.
