+ -1 moreTHE REPAIRMAN WAS PATIENT, AND HAD GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. WHEN WE DECIDED TO REPLACE THE UNIT ENTIRELY, HE WOULD/COULD NOT TAKE BACK THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL BOARD ($750). HE EVEN CALLED HIS OFFICE. THEY WOULD ONLY GIVE ME CREDIT TOWARD A NEW UNIT BOUGHT FROM THEM. I EXPLAINED THAT I HAD NO USE FOR A NEW BOARD SINCE I WAS REPLACING THE UNIT. HE UNDERSTOOD, BUT SAID ELECTRONIC PARTS WERE NOT RETURNABLE. MY RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE EVAPORATED.
Description of Work: A/C WOULD NOT COME ON AT ALL. REPAIRMAN DETERMINED THAT THE CONTROL BOARD HAD TO BE REPLACED. HE DID THAT, AND THE UNIT CAME ON, BUT THEN HE DISCOVERED MORE PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPRESSOR, AND SEVERAL FREON LEAKS. THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION WAS A TOTALLY NEW UNIT, WHICH HE PRICED OUT.

+ -1 moreI THINK I JUST HAD AN UNFORTUNATE SITUATION. WHAT COULD HAVE TURNED OUT TO BE A BAD SITUATION WORKED OUT OK. I STILL HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER CALL TO ANOTHER COMPANY HOWEVER. I THINK I BECAME PREDISPOSED TO FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN THEY KNEW NOTHING OF THE COUPONS AND DIDN'T HONOR ONE OF THEM.
Description of Work: I CALLED ARS SINCE THEY WERE ON YOUR LIST. I HAD RECEIVED COUPONS FOR A FREE SERVICE CALL AND 15% OFF THE SERVICE. WHEN THE TECH ARRIVED HE SAID HE DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE COUPONS BUT THAT HE WOULD CALL. HE DID AND I WAS TOLD THE FREE SERVICE CALL DIDN'T COUNT FOR SOME REASON BUT THE 15% WOULD BE USED. I HAD AN UPSTAIRS SHOWER DRAIN THAT DRAINED SLOWLY AND THE TECH FIRST TRIED HIS LARGE SNAKE MACHINE WHICH HE COULDN'T GET TO GO THOUGH THE TRAP. HE TRIED A SMALLER MACHINE WHICH JAMMED. AT THIS POINT I WAS BEGINNING TO FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND TOLD HIM THAT I THINK WE SHOULD CALL THIS OFF. HE CONTACTED HIS SUPERVISOR AND WAS TOLD TO GIVE ME A 20% DISCOUNT. I CALLED THE MANAGER AND HE CONTACTED THE TECH AND TOLD HIM NOT TO CHARGE ME. I WAS SATISFIED WITH THAT.
