Description of Work: The toilet in our small powder room overflowed and my husband could not get the plunger to free it. He called ARS Rescue Rooter and they sent an inexperienced young man out to do the job. On the phone my husband was told that we would not be charged unless the plumber fixed it and that he would give us a written estimate before doing the work.. The plumber tried the plunger and it didn't work for him either. He then, with the toilet full of water and feces, flushed it, running water plus all over the bathroom. My husband managed to stop the water from from running out into the hallway onto our brand new wood floor by grabbing a number of bath towels from another bathroom and soaking it up. The plumber made two or three calls to his home company and came back saying he couldn't use a snake on the toilet because "it might break the toilet". He never asked about a "cleanout" or roof access, but suggested he could fix the problem by replacing the toilet with a new one. When my husband wouldn't agree, he said he couldn't fix the problem, charged us $69.00 and left. We called Roto Rooter, they sent out a REAL plumber and he fixed the problem. We will never call ARS again!

Description of Work: I asked for service on bathroom sink and faucet, and shower facet leaking. The service rep provided a estimate to fix, which I decided to decline. However, the service rep told my son that he needed to have billing, and that he had drained the water heater; the water heater kept running because of the leak of the shower faucet, but he had not drained the water heater. My adult son was there with the technician, and I, was at work and had communicated with the service rep and my son via cell phone. The service rep did not tell me that he had drained anything. He offered to come back next day, on his own time to see about replacing the sink and faucet(which I had bought for replacement). He seemed decent and wanted to fix the problem and earn some money because he said that he had an expectant wife also. Needless to say, none of this worked out, and he wanted more money to replace the shut off valves which were going to need to be replaced. I never had such a load of crap explained by this service rep, and no one ever called to ask about service or if I was going to get any work done. I was really upset, but did not contact ARS as there was some component of embarrassment and humility. I just will never get any work done by this company again, and I tell anyone that is needing plumbing work done, to not use this company, and I explain what happened.

Description of Work: There was no no service performed the service person did not call or show. I had scheduled an appointment between 1 and 5 they were to call 30 mins to an 1 hour before they arrived, no call, no arrival.

Description of Work: cleaned & repaired sewer line 3and1 half hour labor aprox 20-30 dollars materal 2ft. deep hole lied about amout of work involved work done in yard way over priced checked other co. were all less than 400.00 am very un happy

Description of Work: These folks work with American Home Shield. I had placed a work order in, as we had a leaking faucet on one of our sun porches. When the plumber arrived (same man from a previous work order), he called Home Shield for authorization to fix the faucet. He and I were told that it was not in contract, as it had been an outside fixture at one time. He then quoted me a price of over 280.00 to repair it. I refused his offer, as price was out of all reason. I would not recommend these people to anyone. Too many really good plumbers are available locally.

Description of Work: I HAD MY WATER HEATER REPLACED.
