This is my second time using Crossroads Concepts (first time was a compete bathroom remodel) and I still can't say enough about them. Very professional and responsive. Great to work with and everyone has a fantastic work ethic. I felt so at ease having the crew in my home and the windows look like it they were built originally with the house. Give them your vision and they will make it reality. I would highly recommend Eric and his team for any home remodel project, big or small. They will be my go to contractor from now on.

Our master bathroom remodeling project began on 10/28/13 when I purchased an Angie?s List Big Deal for a ?design consultation with plans? from Doubletree Remodeler Inc. Working from a rough sketch of my proposed floor plan and our ?wish list? of features, Danny Garrettson of Doubletree Remodeler produced a set of pencil drawings and a detailed cost estimate of the proposed project. After several revisions, the plans were finalized on 12/6/13. We selected 3 remodeling contractors from among those listed on Angie?s List and requested estimates. When the final estimates were returned, we reviewed the estimates to insure that we were comparing ?apples to apples? as the quotes ranged from $20,331 to $24,596. On 1/29/14 we selected Crossroads Concepts to serve as our general contractor because of their reputation, Angie review comments, the number of ?A? ratings on similar jobs, and the material allowances included in their pricing. In early February, Eric Doughty, Project Manager for Crossroads Concepts, stopped by to review the project details, scheduled a start date of 2/24/14 and estimated that the remodel would take 4-6 weeks. Throughout the project there were only a very few days that one or more people from Eric?s company or sub-contractor were not working on the project? usually because ?something had to dry? before the project could proceed. Each work day, Eric would text me with the work to be performed that day, the contractor names and the anticipated arrival time. Eric remained on call throughout the day and late afternoon we would text again. Eric was always quick to respond to any questions or issues that I had as the project progressed. Before the demolition began, a crew covered the hardwood hallways with brown paper topped with sheets of Masonite board?even the front porch. The guest bathroom floor was also covered in case one of the contractors tracked dirt in on his feet. The master bedroom floor and furniture were covered in plastic to protect them from the dust that was generated during the project. (Believe me when I say that dust will eventually coat everything in your house by the time the remodel is finished!) At the end of each work day, the sub-contractors cleaned up the work area, packed up their tools, and hauled away any trash. All the sub-contractors, except one, were polite, kept us informed of their activities, and checked with us before they left in the evening. When the project approached completion, I prepared a ?punch list? of items that I felt needed a little extra touch up. Eric?s crew responded immediately and resolved all the items to our complete satisfaction. It was obvious from the onset that Crossroads Concepts only employs top-notch people and sub-contractors. The project was completed on April 3?just one day shy of 6 weeks. We were thrilled with the work that was done and how well the remodel turned out. I would highly recommend Crossroads Concepts to anyone who has a major bathroom remodel in mind.
Description of Work: Remodeled the Master Bathroom which included the removal of the existing shower, vanity, Jacuzzi, separating wall, and tile floors. The project also involved relocating the floor drain and water pipes, retexturing the walls, fresh paint throughout, enlarging the bathroom doorway and installing a new decorative barn door.

Even before we appointed them to do the work, the core team at Crossroads Concepts went out of their way to be helpful, and that professionalism was consistent throughout the project. The quotation was not the cheapest, but we firmly believe that quality craftsmanship doesn't and shouldn't come cheap anyway. By the time the work was completed, we actually felt like we should be paying them more! They are that good. If we had to find a fault, it's probably with one of the teams in which Crossroads outsourced to do the tiling, which we had initially noticed some minor faults after the work was completed. Jeff, the project manager - and the best project manager we've come across - made sure the tilers came back in the same week to correct all the mistakes. So it all worked out to our satisfaction. As mentioned, even before we were technically paying them, Crossroads was very helpful, even going as far as finding one of their clients - who was in the same situation as my mother and needed to renovate her house for wheelchair accessibility - to talk to my mother. This put my mother's mind at ease, and helped us in figuring out what we needed to do, whether or not we were going to appoint Crossroads. The work itself exceeded our expectations and was completed within the expected time period, and we very much enjoyed working with the team. They also made small improvements on our original design that made a big difference in the overall esthetics of the rooms, which we appreciated. They were happy to adjust the designs as the project progressed, which is inevitable, and did those small things around the house that would have been difficult to try and get someone in to do - all at no extra cost. For example, Gary made adjustments to our back door and helped us replace the knobs in the bathroom at no extra cost. Jeff, who studied horticulture, helped us redesign our front garden!
Description of Work: My mother's house needed to be wheelchair accessible. We raised a sunken living room and partially renovated two bathrooms.

Things went pretty well. Quality of work was decent. Home owner was present at the time of work and occasionally helped to make some adjustments to improve the quality of the job. Installing glass rail took more than usual time, other items were installed and worked on in reasonable time frames.

Crossroads (Terry Doughty) quickly responded to my request for a quotation, arrived on time, spent about an hour or so taking detailed notes of what I envisioned for the bathrooms, and 2 weeks later, as promised, delivered a very detailed and professional quotation. Terry was polite, professional and pleasant to deal with. I do believe Crossroads probably does a great job as mentioned by many reviewers. But this site is for discussing vendor pros and cons, so I wanted to share that I found Crossroads' quote to be far out of line for what were really cosmetic changes rather than the demolition and replacement of a tub or a shower or a wall. I can confirm I was able to install countertops for just over one-half the quoted price. Probably my inexperience at fault and a general contractor like Crossroads is better suited to more major work than I had.
Description of Work: Provided a quote on 2 bathrooms: countertops, faucets, shower door, wainscoting, paint, tile floor, mirrors, lights and towel rings, etc.

I really enjoyed working with all the people at Crossroads and the subs. They are super nice and easy to work with. The job took a little over two weeks and they always showed up when scheduled. They always cleaned up. Even though I changed a few things after the job started, it came in under budget. That may be because some of the appliances and the granite I liked was under budget. Some things I chose were over budget but they were very flexible in taking money from one place and putting it someplace else. Saving up now so I can have the redo one of my bathrooms.
Description of Work: Removed kitchen counter tops, and old appliances. Put in granite counter tops, tile backsplash, double sink, disposal, dishwasher, double oven, cook top and frig. They repainted the dining room, kitchen and laundry area walls, ceiling and trip.

I'm very happy with the work done by Crossroads Concepts on our utility room, especially since my request to add play space for our cats was rather unusual. Even though this project was small, Eric listened carefully to my design plan, and made it work and look beautiful at the same time. Having a sink is a real plus, and I'm very happy to finally have a dryer hookup that saves space and is less likely to be knocked loose by the cats. The cabinetry is very well built. All crew members were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. I would be happy to use Crossroads Concepts again if another project needs to be done.
Description of Work: Tore out existing cupboards and wire shelving, recessed dryer vent, added a counter top and utility sink, installed new cupboards, and created a walkway circling the entire utility room for the cats to use. "Cat Clouds" were installed to serve as stairs up to the walkway. Entire room was repainted, including the ceiling. Folding ironing board installed in new drawer system.

Let me start by saying these are the nicest and most polite guys to work with. Everything was terrific, with 2 exceptions: granite fabricators did a poor job of pattern match in one area, & the backsplash tile is very uneven. If we had used a grout line instead of butting the tiles right up to one another, I think that would have solved the problem. (Lesson learned). The same tile was used as wainscoting in the bath, we used a grout line, and that tile looks terrific! I would make sure you remove all appliances or furniture you plan to keep before demo begins. We did receive a ding & a couple of scrapes & scratches to new fridge and new table. Overall our experience was very good, & I would have given them an A, but the 2 most important items to me (granite & backsplash) were a little disappointing.
Description of Work: Replaced floor, countertops, backsplash, light sanding, staining & sealing cabinets, removed wallpaper, textured & painted, installed light fixtures & new can lights, installed new sinks, faucets & set new toilet.

Eric was very quick to come and give us a quote on the work. He understood what we were wanting to accomplish and offered ideas. They were able to schedule the work within the time we requested. Initially the demolition was delayed a couple of days due to worker's unforeseen illness, car issues and vacation. However, once they began, they did a superb job. For the most part, they had workers there each day progressing. Each person who worked in our home was professional and friendly....truly some of the nicest people we have ever had work in our home. Even our kids looked forward to them coming each day. They cleaned up their mess each evening.....even moped the dusty cardboard! We asked them to make a few changes along the way as the job began to unfold and new ideas arose and they were extremely accommodating. Never a problem even one time with anything that we asked of them. We could not be happier with the result and love everything about our new master bath. We would highly recommend Eric and Jeff to anyone.
Description of Work: Protected the furniture, carpet and flooring well prior to construction. Demolition of master bath except for tub and vanity. Relocated shower head and drain to expand shower curb and enclosure. Installed shower walls, niche, tile and frameless glass enclosure. Replaced all plumbing fixtures throughout, lighting, mirrors, and toilet. Re-routed electric as needed. Re-tiled vanity backspalsh, tub surround and bathroom floor.

Everything started off great and Eric is really a great person. But I honestly think they have way too many jobs going on. My initial shower tile work was horrible and they redid it to my satisfaction. They cracked my new tub I had bought and he did replace it. They picked out a rough piece of marble for the counter tops and it has cracks in it but they promised to come fill them and buff it out and it never got done and that was 6 weeks ago. They have not contacted me once since this last conversation at the beginning of August. I really like Eric and his team but the job took way longer than I was told and they did not finish the job as promised. I will have to pay someone else to finish it. Needless to say my master bath is being remodeled by a different company.

On our first visit with you, we spent over an hour trying to determine the scope of your project. We scheduled another appointment where we spent over an hour measuring and discussing the project. We understand the frustration of not receiving your estimate in a timely manner, but a project of this size takes longer to estimate. At this time it is taking longer to get estimates completed due to our high volume of interest in remodeling in the summer months. We apologize for any inconvenience we have caused.

Our experience with Eric and Crossroads Concepts was nothing but superior. A super friendly owner and staff eager to accomplish our vision we had for our empty media room. All subcontractors were professional and provided quality work. Jeff, the project manager, was always available day or night to answer e-mails, texts or phone calls. Jeff ensured everything was done to a tee and consistently kept us updated on each stage being done. We definitely will use Eric and his team for future projects and highly recommend Crossroads Concepts for any remodeling.
Description of Work: Crossroads Concepts took our empty media room and transformed it into a true entertainment room! They installed wall-to-wall custom lower cabinets with granite countertop, custom upper cabinets with glass doors and glass shelves with lights, and a custom media cabinet to house all our audio/visual components. Also installed a sink and refrigerator, tile backsplash, added and/or relocated electrical outlets, removed carpet and installed hardwood floors, installed new ceiling light and dimmers and re-painted entire room.

This project was large in scope and the result was an absolute success. Crossroads was able to take my very rough sketches and ideas and walk me through design, material selection and product placement in an unbelievably seemless process. They were able to easily switch gears and reimagine parts of the project when I came up with new ideas to incorporate along the way. All members of their crew and subcontractors used were extremely professional and pleasant to work with. No detail was too small and we were left with the feeling they were not happy and the job was not complete until we were completely satisfied with all aspects of the project We have done extensive remodeling in the past on our 35 year old home and have always found the process to be frustrating, tedious, fraught with constant cost overruns and quality that was less than perfect. Crossroads has completely changed my perception of the remodeling process in a positive way. Cost increases, which were due to my design changes midstream, were clearly spelled out and there were no surprises on the final invoice. I would, and do, highly recommend this company for any remodeling needs both large and small.
Description of Work: Complete remodel of 2 1/2 bathooms which included a large master bath and walk-in closet. The bathrooms were stripped down to the studs and rebuilt with new layout. Shower and tub drains were relocated, windows were relocated and resized, walk-in master closet was incorporated complete with custom built-in cabinetry. All Vanities and cabinetry and were custom built to match my design specifications. Crossroads designed a zero threshold walk in shower using a variety of stone, marble and mosaic materials. Marble countertops and tub deck designed and installed. Heated tile floor was also incorporated in the masterbath.

My master bath was built in the early eighties. I had experienced a leak in the shower floor. I decided to go with an almost complete redo. They removed the wallpaper and popcorn ceiling, textured and painted both. They put new tile in the shower and on floor and around the tub area. They refinished cabinets and put pulls on the doors and drawers. They installed two new sinks, faucets, and granite countertops. They installed new light fixtures over the vanity area and the bath area. They raised the ceiling in the shower area, and brought it into the 21st century. A ver fine job. It took a little longer than I thought it would, but perhaps that was because the work was done during the Thanksgiving through Christmas period. This was my second job with them. Very good work. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Everything went easy and smooth -- job was completed in about 5 days. I was able to have crew work at my house, while I was at work. Each day I came home, there was alot of progress made and never was a mess left behind. Jeff is a very nice man who did a wonderful job; checking w/ me for approval on the backsplash before he fully completed it -- which I really appreciated!! There was always correspondance w/ Eric, who was very kind, patient and helpful. I could not find one flaw when all the work was done -- it looked exactly as I had imagined.
Description of Work: I purchased the materials for the backsplash and countertops and they installed. They also installed under cabinet lighting and wood-trim at the bottom of the cabinets (to conceal the under cabinet lighting) and a recessed light above the kitchen sink. All the lights were LED, I did not purchase these materials on my own; items were provided by Crossroads; included w/ the cost.

We had a great/overall experience using Crossroads Concepts as our contractor. Eric was super easy to work with, nothing but good things to say about him and really all the sub-contractors they hire. Always answered our questions, and if there was a problem he dealt with it quickly and got it taken care of. He told me it would take 6 weeks to complete and they were right on time, so nice! Very happy with our new master bath, and I'm sure we will be calling them again for future projects.
Description of Work: We did a complete gut job of our master bath. Everything went down to the studs and actually even expanded our master closet a little bit. So we have new walls, floors, new shower, tub, sinks, vanity, toilet, mirrors, lights, paint, you name it in the bath it's new.
