Eric was a true pro from the start. This is his family's business, and the pride in reputation and craftsmanship shows. They showed up on time, did what they said they would in the time they said it would take, and did a great job. What more could one ask?!? Initially, Eric gave a hi- & lo-side bid... they even came out on the low side! I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. Thanks Eric! The work looks great.

This is the second job Eric and his group have done for us. The first one involved updating/remodeling a bathroom and a powder room. For that job, he installed a pocket door, fabricated a new cabinet to replace one which was too large for the room, installed a spa tub, built a terrific "table" for the new vessel sink, tiled the floors, installed granite counter tops and new fixtures. The bathrooms look great. This time the task was smaller but his crew took just as much care as with the more major job. The results are great and I do plan to use Eric when I next decide to do some remodeling.
Description of Work: Retrofitted our master bath with a second shower head with four body sprays. This involved removing sheet rock, adding plumbing lines, moving then replacing toilet fixtures to allow access, painting, etc. He also installed safety bars in this bathroom as well as a second bathroom.

Overall, it went very well. There were a couple of glitches which Eric addressed promptly and courteously. Although there are a couple of things I wish we had done differently, I am still quite happy with the results. The workers were polite and professional, cleaned up after themselves each day, and worked very hard to make sure I was satisfied with what was being done. Eric (or his father) got back to me quickly each time I called them and never lost patience with my indecision in choosing tile, granite, etc. It was not a bad experience at all and I would certainly recommend them.

This team of professionals did an outstanding job. All calls and emails were answered promptly, the communication and follow up was exceptional. These guys were consistent and kept to the schedule, they showed up when they said they would and got the job done. They were mindful about where they left tools and materials, and always cleaned up the work areas each night. Terry and Eric picked up on our sense of style immediately-- Terry suggested incorporating design elements from the countertop or flooring into the shower area and it turned out great, it really ties it all together into a real masterpiece. They tore out part of a wall/door frame which opened up the space significantly; you can't tell that there was once a wall there and the tile repairs were immaculate, no way you could tell it was done later. Amazing attention to detail to ensure it was fluid and looked right. Jeff and Donny are awesome. Finally, we had one stubborn leaky sink, so they had to come back a couple of times to fix it. Each time I called it was immediately addressed with a sense of urgency and a smile. We genuinely enjoyed having the guys around the house. They ran their behinds off tracking down parts and materials-- they were all over this project. I would definitely have these guys back to do additional projects.

Terry and Eric arrived with the workmen on the first day to make certain things got off to a good start. They met my plumber who I had contracted because I had other jobs for him to do so I combined plumbing jobs. Looking back I believe it would have been a better idea had I let Crossroads do all the plumbing since all their work is top notch and well priced. We had some design questions in the middle of the project and Terry went with us to pick out some additional tile items to complete the shower and his suggestions really helped make the shower extra special! The shower looks great and has definitely enhanced our bath area. Throughout the project which had some hiccups due to shower valve issues Terry and Eric both were exceptionally helpful and courteous. Terry stayed in touch with us all through the project. They are probably two of the best contractors I have ever worked with and from a personal standpoint two of the nicest people I have met in a long time. I really enjoyed meeting both of them and I recommend them highly.
Description of Work: Crossroads Concepts repaired damaged flooring, installed a shower pan with new floor plumbing, installed new insulation and hardyboard, built a new pony wall, and helped design and install new tile for a master shower.

The owner of Crossroad Concepts came to the house. I had some pictures in a trim book that I showed him so he would understand what I was visualizing. He looked at the trim in the adjoining room and suggested we use the ideas in the trim book but also match to the existing trim. He also had recommendations as to the thickness of the glass used in the upper shelves, the lighting. and the number and width of the vertical sections, Several days later he presented a computer-generated sketch of the shelving cabinets. We made some minor modifications and agreed to the price. I paid him 1/2 down and he told me when to expect the installation. The installation was actually performed ahead of schedule. It required moving electrical outlets, removing and reinstalling chair-railing and picture frame molding and removing and reinstaling the quarter-round flloor molding. The finished product was wonderful and has made our home even more enjoyable. It took several weeks before we actually read in the library because when we sat in the room, we just wanted to admire the cabinet shelving.
Description of Work: Built-in library shelving was constructed off-site and then installed in a room that was being converted from a formal dining room into a library.

This was our SECOND experience with Eric and Terry, please see our previous report. This was a much smaller job which only took 5 days. Again, the timing, workmanship, and excellent outcome met our expectations. Eric came the first day I called. The proposal was presented the next day. Since we only needed re-texturing and painting, Eric was able to work us in to his busy business schedule the following week. The work began on Mon. 1/25/10 and was completed Fri. 1/29/10. right on schedule. Again, Terry or Eric either showed up or were in touch everyday checking the work and progress. Our next project won't be for a few months, but the only company called will be Terry and Eric's CROSSROADS CONCEPTS.
Description of Work: The master bedroom and hallway walls were re-textured and painted. All closets, woodwork, doors/facings painted. New hardware on doors, and new face plates on all electrical outlets.

The full experience was great! Eric was very professional and right on time for our first appointment. I showed him the work we wanted done. He was very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions on improvements, such as raising the kitchen ceiling for more openness. We were given a proposal within 2 days which we signed immediately as we needed the work completed within the next two months. I was very impressed to have Eric take 4-5 hours of his busy day to take me out to the granite and tile warehouses to select colors, patterns and hardware to be used...The work started on time, Oct. 12, 2009. We asked to be finished by Nov 10th. Typical woman, I/we added on an extended contract to de-panel, re-texture, paint walls and ceiling, plus new crown molding and baseboards in our family/dining room area... The new add-on was for an L-shaped 36'X38' room which flows off the kitchen. Eric and his father Terry, did a remarkable job of adding on more workers to get the new add-on room completed right on schedule alone with the kitchen. All work was completed on Nov. 12, 2009. Eric or Terry were at the house almost everyday checking on the work and progress. We were so impressed that we call Eric and Terry again in January to redo our master bedroom and hallway. Another excellent report for this second job will appear in a day or so. PLEASE look at the pictures of my wonderful, beautiful new kitchen. YES, we would re-contract Crossroads Concepts to do any additional upgrades in our home. (Which we have already.) The price, timing, and quality of work was excellent.
Description of Work: The kitchen and family/dining room areas had not been updated since the 70's. The kitchen had the original Formica counter tops and cabinets. The kitchen was completely stripped down to bare cabinets which involved a full renovations except for the floor. The kitchen had a dropped ceiling with fluorescent lights. We took it out which raised the ceiling to approximately 8' and installed new can lights. All the cabinets were stripped down completely. New cabinet doors and hardware were installed. Granite counter tops were installed throughout the kitchen with one of the counters being extended into a new breakfast bar area. A beautiful tile backsplash was added . We also Installed all new stainless appliances and new under cabinet lighting (which is Great!). After the kitchen started, we decided to remove old paneling, re-texture and paint the living room, dining room, and breakfast area. We also installed new baseboards and crown molding throughout the entire area.

They started on Dec. 8th. It took longer than anticipated because of the holidays. The granite fabricators were closed the week between Christmas and New Years. Eric was very easy to work with. All the guys who worked on the project were very professional and kept the dust and debris to a minimum. Would use them again and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Remodeled master bath: Tore down wall between vanity and shower and commode. Re-tiled shower and floor. Raised vanity 3 inches, Re-stained vanity and storage cabinet, Installed door between bathroom and bedroom. Installed new commode, shower door, marble vanity top . Did some electrical work. Scraped popcorn ceiling and painted walls and ceiling. Also removed some decorative tiles in kitchen back splash and replaced them with new ones.

Everything went well. We started off with estimates, revised that once and paid a 4th of the estimate singed a contract and we were off and running. We communicated throughout the whole process, went to tile and granite showrooms to pick out materials and colors and refine what we wanted the redo to look like. They said it would be 4-5 weeks and finished on time. We communicated often via phone and email. The crew was nice and didn't damage the floors or walls.

Eric went beyond the call of duty making sure that our needs are heard and problems resolved. He listened well and offered his suggestions to address our needs. He communicates and supervised the job on a daily basis making sure what to expect. His workers are competent and demonstrated the highest level of integrity and honesty. His crew consisting of Donald and Carlos were awesome. The quality of work is clearly visible unlike previous general contractor we hired. We will definitely use Crossroads Concept in the near future.

Design and planning phase went very well. Eric is great to work with. He listens to homeowners' ideas and makes suggestions with just the right tone. Construction went mostly well, with a few issues. During construction there were two major water leaks caused by substandard oringinal plumbing being disturbed, and CC made all necessary repairs. Stain initially appled to master bath vanity was too dark. This was result of series of miscommunications, last of which was homeowners' responsibility, but CC was involved and incident illuminates improvement opportunity for CC: better internal communication. Also, material quality assurance could be tightened. One delay ocurred when a crack in a sink basin was not discovered until granite guys were on site and ready to install it, even though sink was on hand weeks prior. Communication from CC to homeowners was mostly good, with Eric keeping us updated on plans and schedules, and visiting project almost every day. For example, when lead worker was going to arrive later than usual time, Eric made sure we knew. There were a couple instances, however, of important work starting sooner than expected. For example, painters showed up to stain master bath cabinets on day when only one homeowner was available, even though we had requested that it happen when both were available. Quality assurance of work also could be tightened to make sure everything works as intended before homeowner discovers something that doesn't (for example, hot/cold faucet positions reversed). Summary Strengths: professionalism, responsiveness, and dependability. Improvement Opportunities: better internal communication, and tightened material/work quality assurance processes.
Description of Work: master bedroom and closet: painted and repaired upstairs hall bath: removed wall and furdown; replaced tile, wall and floor; replaced plumbing fixtures sinks, shower, and tub; replaced vanity top with granite; replaced lights and switches; removed wallpaper and textured and painted; replaced toilet; replaced exhaust fan. master bath: removed furdown, shower wall, toilet wall, and exterior window; removed tub and shower and replaced with enlarged shower; replaced tile, wall and floor; replaced plumbing fixtures, sinks and shower; replaced vanity top with granite; raised vanity and restained vanity and linen closet; replaced lights and switches, and installed ceiling fan and exhaust/heat fan; removed wallpaper and textured and painted; replaced toilet. bar area: removed sink and faucet; installed wine cooler and wine/glass rack; installed granite countertop and tiled walls.

This project took three weeks to complete and went amazingly well. It began when we discovered termites emerging from the pony wall of the shower. During treatment we also discovered substantial water damage behind the shower walls. The entire shower and part of the wall behind the sink space closest to the shower had to be gutted and rebuilt. More termites were discovered and treated for, drywall had disintegrated and the shower timbers were beginning to rot out. By reconfiguring the inside of our shower, it is now almost twice as large and feels like you're staying at a high end hotel. Everything in the bathroom had been builder's grade and most were beginning to show their age. Every single faucet leaked, the paint was peeling and the bathroom cabinets were slowly falling apart. What we have now is just incredible and I have to give special thanks to Eric and Jeff's attention to detail. Several great ideas were conceived on the fly and the final results were more than we could have asked for.
Description of Work: Demo and construction of new shower, including shower wall inserts; moving existing shower head and dial; tiling around Roman tub; decorative tile border inside shower and around Roman tub; vanity cabinets and lights; retrofitting of medicine cabinet door; painting of entire room and ceiling; ceiling fan; faucets on sinks and Roman tub. (Granite countertops and undermount sinks were installed by a different company.)

Everything turned out extremely well. I appreciated that they did not use subcontractors and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. The workers were very experienced and knowledgeable, and were able to make suggestions that were unique and beneficial to me. Their prices seemed to be in line with everyone else's but the quality of the work was very high. The owner oversaw the entire project, and worked closely with me. They went with my personally to pick out the tiles and fixtures, and I also really appreciated that he alerted me to which tiles would be too slippery to be suitable for a shower. The details they included and the custom work they did was wonderful, and they went out of their way to come up with good solutions, such as waterproofing the window. The bathroom looks beautiful and I was extremely happy with them.

They showed-up when they said they would, from the initial estimate date to the completion date. All the employees were wonderful to work with. Everyone did their jobs well and with professionalism. They were very patient with a delay in the shower door installation due to the wrong door being sent and having to wait for the correct door to be made and shipped, Eric was wonderful about it, and as soon as I got the door in they came and installed it.
Description of Work: Tore out and re-built tiled shower, including shower pan. Installed custom ordered, frame-less shower door, installed plumbing fixtures. Tore out old vanity and installed new, tiled under new vanity and repaired and textured wall where the old vanity was butted up against it. I purchased most of the material myself to save the expense and to get exactly what I wanted. But Eric & Terry did transport some of the items for me so that I did not have to rent a truck.

The job was a good experience. They showed up every time they said they would, and on-time. All of the crew were very helpful and nice. The new kitchen cabinets were fabricated and match perfectly with the existing cabinets. You can't even tell the difference between the existing and new cabinets! Everything was completed to our satisfaction. Would definitely use this company again, and recommend them to other people. One other thing to note, we received quotes from this company and another who was highly rated on Angie's list. This company was half the price of the other company!

They did a good job and I really liked the crew that came. The main contractor was really engaged in the work and responsive to everything we asked. I called around and there was one other company cheaper than them but they were not able to do everything I needed done. The job they did looks really nice and I had a good experience with them. The only thing I didn't like was that it was a messy job and got the house a little messy.
Description of Work: Crossroads Concepts installed all new cabinets in the kitchen and removed a wall and column to build a breakfast bar. They also built a wine cabinet and installed a back splash in the kitchen. They put a retainer up in the ceiling for support of the bar. It took the three weeks to finish the job.
