Overall Hector did an excellent job installing alarm equipment for our home. Initial, in home, consultation was free. He then installed a main alarm box and 2 new monitoring keypads for a very reasonable price (between $75-100), and 3 new fire monitoring alarms (fire alarms = $99 each). I chose a 12 month contract, however, for those who go with a 36 month contract he gives a %50 discount for the entire installation, including the cost of the fire alarms. The cost of monitoring for both burglary and fire is quite reasonable, ~$35/month. Hector was cordial, clean, and professional. He installed each unit, and showed my wife and I how to use all aspects of the system, including how to monitor the alarm system online, and on our phones. I would highly recommend Archangel Alarms to anyone looking to install or upgrade an alarm system in the Houston area.

It went well at first i was a little concerned because it seemed the person they sent to us was new to the job. he was not as knowledgeable of things and had to contact Hector on many of our questions. other than that everything went well Robert came back down on a saturday and installed our alarm. after i asked about the z wave capabilities they came back down to install that portion of it. communications was good but i did have to contact Robert for questions we asked to follow up. i had the lynx touch L5100 alarm installed. its a nice system i thought the price was a little high but i did not compare with any other alarm companies so i cannot be 100% sure. i also did the monitoring plan through them which is a reasonable price i think also for the app to monitor remotely. i would use them again and recommend anyone to give them a shot one thing to point out they are a small company so work with there schedules they worked with mine since we work all week.

The work that was done was very professional and neatly installed. The installation took longer than expected but no extra charges were incurred. Hector bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with everything and showed us how everything worked after he was finished. He gave a follow up call the next business day to make sure everything was working to our satisfaction. We were very pleased with the quality of the equipment and the installation process and would highly recommend using them!

Archangel has been great from the beginning to the end. It is not actually the end, though, because we will be using them for monitoring and intend to add even more to our alarm system (did you know it can even control the thermostat if you get all of the pieces/parts). They came out and spent all day putting in the camera system, and readjusting the cameras until they were correct. They were extremely reasonable on price considering all of the setup and installation they performed, plus the equipment. We actually asked them to come out two weeks after the initial installation to add three more cameras to increase the coverage around our home. I feel like my home and yard have excellent coverage. I also really like the alarm system and feel so much safer. I enjoy that this is a small company and that the owner is the person that works with you. I trust these gentlemen and would recommend them highly.

It was in the evening and we traded pictures of the security panel at the office via text messaging back and forth until the problem got solved. He even did this after dinner and apologized for not getting back to me quick enough because he had stayed a little longer talking to his family over dinner. In the end, the alarm issue turned out to be another electronic device not related to the alarm system but I was most impressed with the willingness of Hector to help even without getting paid and during his personal time. Kudos to Archangel for employing him. If they take care of their non-customers this way, I can only imagine the kind of service they provide to their real paying customers.

Everything went incredibly smooth. Hector was very professional and did a great amount of work in a very short time. We had a few issues with our existing system and he was able to quickly identify and fix the problems. We are very happy with the work Hector did and monitoring package we signed up for. So much cheaper than the national companies. Go Local!

They were pretty professional. They seemed like they handled it pretty well. They were pretty good. The price was fair.

I have been getting false alarm from my 15 year old system. The company that installed it is no longer in business. I called a major security company but they would not help unless I sign up for their monitoring service. I was lucky to find Archangel in Angie's. I called and got an appointment for a couple of days later. Something came up and had to reschedule it and they promptly obliged. They showed up on time and completed the work in about an hour. In addition to replacing several worn-out sensors, they checked the system for any other possible issues. It has been a couple of months since then and that old issue did not surface even once. So, they did a quality job. No more waking up in the middle of the night to turn off the fals alarm! Another plus point from my personal point of view is that I was able to communicate with them with phone text messages after the initial voice call. I wish more businesses would do that. It is so much less intrusive.

I had done some repair work to my front door and covered up the alarm sensor. I called Hector Friday afternoon and he was able to identify the problem and tell me the cost to solve the problem. He installed a wireless sensor and tied it into my my alarm system. I am very please with his ability and would recommend him to others in the Houston area.

Because Mr. Cantu is the owner of his business and does the work himself, he can customize it however you like. He is very reliable and accomodating. He came to install our system on a weekend, due to our scheduling issues. One of our sensors went bad just before an upcoming trip, and he came to fix it during the evening, and did not even charge us! The sensor was a pre-existing one. My husband and I had were trying to decide between ADT and Archangel. My husband prefers going with the big company. I prefer smaller customized service. I am very glad we chose Archangel.

I was very pleased with the work. Hector and Tony could not have been nicer and more helpful and they really had their work cut out for them on this job. Six years ago when I needed to upgrade my alarm system I went with DIY products I bought online (DSC) and hired someone I knew who had worked for alarm companies to install the system for me. The system worked for a short while and then started having problems. I didn't really have time to deal with it so I just unplugged the whole system to stop it from beeping all the time and it stayed that way until now. It turned out to have a number of things wrong with it and Hector and Tony worked their way through all the problems, one after the other. The first thing was the outlet the power source plugged into. It turned out to be faulty and the system kept powering off so the first thing we had to do was connect it to another outlet with an extension cord. After that the alarm system stayed powered on. I am planning to have an electrician come out to look at the outlet, but if that still doesn't work Hector said they would come back and swap out the transformer. Next we moved on to batteries - the main backup battery and all the batteries in the wireless components were completely dead and needed to be replaced. Both smoke detectors would not sound during testing so after a series of tests and checking the wiring and trying different wiring combinations they concluded they were defective and replaced them both. After that they worked perfectly. Lastly, a number of things had to be re-coded on the control panel - some of the components had not been wired to the correct zone, one door was on delay that shouldn't have been and vice-versa for another door. When everything was finally working again they showed me how to operate the alarm and we did one last test of all the components to be sure it was in good working order. They also reassured me that despite the rocky start, the DSC systems were good products and now that my system was installed correctly I could use it with confidence. I am really happy that I finally have my alarm working again and I will definitely be calling Archangel for any future alarm needs.

Archangel did a superb job! Hector and his assistant did most of the installation work and got my alarm system fully functional just a couple of days after my initial call. Due to the age of my original system, it was necessary to upgrade several components that were not included in his initial estimate. Hector and his assistant returned about 2 weeks later to finish the work (the 2 week delay was to fit my schedule). I am super-pleased with the work and feel that I got very good value for money. Over the years I have had bad experiences with the 'major' alarm companies. In my experience they push over-priced cheap hardware and lock customers into long-term monitoring and maintenance contracts. They also basically force customers into using many wireless sensors that (in my personal experience) are prone to be unreliable. They push the wireless sensors (again, my opinion) just because the installation is easier for them. I expressed these concerns to Hector and explained to him that my goal was to have all sensors hard-wired, use quality components, and close several security 'gaps' that I saw in my old alarm system. The upgrades that Archangel did to my system were exactly what I was looking for. In fact, Hector came up with a couple of very clever ways to 'secure' my system so that it will be extremely difficult for a thief to disable the alarm. Hector knows his stuff. I signed up for alarm monitoring through Archangel also. Like most small alarm companies this service is provided through a third party company. So far it has worked great. The price is competitive, the response times are quick based on one false alarm, and best of all the monitoring is just a 1 year agreement (probably because I paid for all the new installation work up front). I was looking for a custom alarm system and feel that I got exactly what I was looking for (and more) at a very competitive price. Highly recommended!!

They were willing to come in and do some work on my alarm system without trying to force me into a new contract. They were willing to come work on it for an hourly rate vs making me sign up for monitoring service from them.

He does pretty much custom work. It’s a small company. They do a great service. He came and gave the estimate and did the work. He followed up well. I would use them in the future.

They said their price per hour was $125, which another company I found later was $75 per hour. Needless to say, I didn't go any further after I heard their price.

The technician did arrive earlier than originally scheduled. I was not onsite since this was not the time we had agreed upon. He contacted me and waited while I arrived. He did a very thorough job of explaining how the alarm worked once it was installed. It was a rather lengthy process for installation, but I was expecting that. He will have to return to put in particular wire for smoke alarms. He did clean up his work area once he was finished. I would definitely refer this part of the process to another. I'm not certain how the monitoring will go, as we haven't started that yet.

Very well. Hector Cantu is very professional and responsible. He went over every step, detailing exactly what we needed and more importantly what we didn't. Our old system was inadequate for the number of zones we wanted and so he suggested we only upgrade one of the of the panels. This is the kind of honesty one does not see often. In addition, he addressed all of our security concerns quickly and accurately and didn't try to suggest anything we did not need. Hector also works with a technician, Chris, who is somewhat less experienced, but Hector is always available to help out as needed. Chris is also very responsible and professional. They helped us document all the zones as well. There was a small hitch with one of the door contacts not working, but Chris figured it out quickly and corrected the problem. I recommend this company very highly and wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Our house alarm started acting up (wouldn't arm, etc) and needed to be serviced. After checking the list we contacted Archangel and they quickly arranged an appointment. Their technician checked the entire system, resolved the issues, and even took the time to document our zones for us (our original alarm company didn't even do that!). The technicial was very friendly and worked very quickly. I completely recommend this company.
