I would not recommend to call this provider. He came, saw the job required, provided an estimate and told me that it would be at least two months until he could get out to do the job. Okay. I waited because he seemed very knowledgable and had great reviews. At the end of the two months, he had not contacted me so I texted him. He acted like he forgot when he promised me and pretended that he had thought it would be the next month (though the dates we discussed were captured by text so shouldn't be too hard to look back and verify). He said that his current client expanded what work she wanted so that is why he was so busy. Okay so I waited some more only to never hear from him. One month later I texted him to ask if he was coming and he never responded. I guess that my small bathroom remodel was too small for him to bother with. The fact is, we had wanted to see how he would do on this job and then wanted to remodel our other two much larger bathrooms. Not very professional on the communication side of things I would say.

During the original consultation we decided to expand the project's scope from just replacing the tub / shower walls to a complete bathroom remodel. New shower/tub, remove all the wallpaper, replace the cabinets, floor, toilet, and counter tops. Even a new bathroom window! Ivan and his crew were able to start the next day and arrived exactly on time – a trend that continued the whole project. Every day his crew arrived a little before the arranged time, waited, then began right on the dot. An (odd to us) extreme amount of care was taken during the whole process. The floors were covered to prevent tacking in mud / scruffs every morning and the whole work-site was cleaned up /rolled up at the end of every workday. Ivan walked us through all our options, and was extremely helpful on expounding the pros & cons to questions we had. Ivan used two other individuals in his crew, whom were extremely polite and mannered. This made it a three man job, and it stayed that way throughout the renovation. During the process, Ivan only left to get required materials – like the tub / cabinet/ etc. - but the crew continued at 100% in his absence. Minus a daily lunch break all three were working non stop from 9 to 5. Every day. The whole renovation involved removal/replacement of the old tub, backer board, cabinets, floor, toilet, and wallpaper. Furthermore Ivan did finishing to the walls / prepped for paint using several layers. We figured the wallpaper would just have a base layer added then painted over, but they actually got steam machines inside the bathroom and scraped every last inch out. An incredibility labor intense process. Once gutted, the fun began. The new tub was installed and hooked up (with shut off values added – thanks Ivan), our cabinets were custom finished by Ivan, and the mirror 100% custom made. Of note; when installing the quartz countertops, I remarked that I wish it was slightly higher – Ivan immediately asked if that was something I wanted, and pulled it off within the hour. The quartz was cut on site; a painless process. Overall, we were amazed by the whole process. Ivan went above and beyond our expectations and was able to bob-and-weave with our little tweaks (we added a recessed shower shelf last minute/ raised the countertops / etc.) as the project progressed during the approximate week it took to complete. It was a custom “fit-and-finish” through-and-through. Since the completion of that renovation job we have retired and plan on having the rest of the house remodeled (master bath, kitchen, living room, outdoor siding, and more) before officially laying back and kicking up our feet; we have absolutely zero doubt who we will turn to. Ivan and his crew blew us away, and months later we still grin ear to ear while reminiscing about the renovation. We are beyond words with how happy we are with the whole process and would recommend (and have) Ivan to anyone we know.

Ace Custom Building totally remodeled our Master Bathroom. We could not be happier with the finished product! The work included:*Demolition of existing cabinets, floor tile, vanity lighting, toilet, tub/shower and tile walls w/in shower.*Closed in existing door way to water closet and created a side entrance w/ a pony wall.*Installed marble tile flooring with special under laid padding and shower walls, w/ small glass inlaid tile for shower floor, shampoo/soap box and boarder trim above marble wall outside of shower and backsplash for new quartz vanity counter.*Installed new toilet, cabinets, pluming lines (one for toilet and one for shower) rerouted plumbing for shower drainage, plumbing fixtures.*Leveled, sheet-rocked and textured uneven ceiling above vanity.*Installed vanity sinks, lighting for vanity, water closet and shower chandelier.*Installed rustic laminate feature wall in water closet, cathedral ceiling above shower (engineered secure scaffold for installation) and behind linen closet. Hung faux beam for chandelier above shower.*Textured and painted all walls and painted interior of both master closets and installed new closet doors.

Our house is 30+ years old and our upstairs bath tub began to leak at the drain so we were due for a tear out and complete remodel. To start out, I want to say that this was probably the easiest and smoothest remodel I have ever been through and we owe it to Ivan and his crew. We had the work performed during the Christmas/New Years holidays as this was a secondary bathroom so it was not a bother with the holidays in between work days. Prior to demo, Ivan and his crew came in and protected the stairway with a taped down covering. The demo was a nasty mess as they carried large chunks of concreted tile down the stairs. Uncovering the walls down to the studs revealed some builder shortcuts with piping and drains. Ivan rebuilt everything the proper way and installed emergency cutoffs for me. I also had him install them under the two vanities as that was the only bathroom that had not been worked on. They also installed a new flange for the new toilet as the original was not up to par. Ivan did not cut corners and tested and made sure everything was secure and leak free before closing up anything. The work included installing brand new tub and tub and shower valves and faucets, new toilet, tiled tub surround, tiled floor, new faucets installed in two vanities with upgraded shutoff valves, leveling floor and installing new tile, reinstalling chair rail and baseboards, patching, texturizing and painting bath area and vanity area. Ivan also made suggestions along the way and showed me a standard tub with a bowed front, which makes you feel like you are in a much larger tub. Everybody loves it. He also make a suggestion about some decorative edging that I am very happy with it adding a bit more style. Ivan and his crew have a wonderful work ethic. They arrived on time and worked late and the guys worked non-stop. They were courteous and a pleasure to deal with. They cleaned up every evening before leaving even though sometimes I told them to just leave it because I knew they were tired, but his crew always insisted and even vacuumed down the stairs. The bathroom is beautiful and guests have enjoyed the spa like feel, but most of all, I feel secure with the work that was done. I would not hesitate to hire Ace Custom Building again!

This is the second time that we have had Ivan come out to do work on our home, his first visit was in early 2015 when he completed 3 jobs for us. We worked so well with him and liked the quality and professionalism so we had him come back (he renovated our laundry room, powder room, and kitchen first). This is time we caught him at the busy part of the year. There were a few delays in getting the project started, but that was due to other clients' jobs running long. I would expect the same courtesy so this is not something I would consider a negative. Also, the project ran a bit longer than projected, but we had thanksgiving and a lot of tiling work, which takes a long. I would rather it be right than fast. We had a full job of the bathroom. On the one side there was the vanity - Ivan took out the old base cabinets & massive builder mirror (which he hung in my daughters room). He also took out the lame medicine cabinet and patched the wall. From there the new vanity was installed with wall cabinet new mirrors, granite, sinks, and faucet. On on the other we formerly had a large garden tub and shower. We had Ivan remove the shower and tub. He capped the plumbing on the shower, built a closet and installed the missing tile. Where we had the garden tub (and part of the old shower) we had a 6'x5' walk in door less shower installed. He did a custom drain pan and did a TON of tile work. We had marble mosaic floor tile, a base tile and accent tile, plus he built and tiled an accent niche. Ivan also installed our commercial grade multi piece shower fixtures. although this was Ivan's busy time of year we saw him everyday, unless there wasn't work that could be done or it was a holiday. We also had a minor error in shower tile installation and when I mentioned it to Ivan he immediately reassured me that it would be fixed and materials covered. we would gladly use Ivan again, but it won't be for a long time, he completely rebuilt our first floor! Use Ivan and all you friends and neighbors will be jealous! Every one is always asking who did our kitchen and master bath!

Ivan was very thorough. He gave me choices and continued to mix different combinations and paint a test area to ensure I was completely satisfied. He completed the job in just an afternoon.

Let me say that my first contact with Ivan, via a phone call, was a discussion about what problems I was having, and what he could possibly do to help. His first comment was that he'd be happy to come look at my bath, explain what if anything he could do (and recommend where to go if it was out of his ability) And this was a free service no matter who I chose. He nailed my problem. I had already done a good bit of investigation before seeking help and in 10 minutes, he showed me what I had missed. He and his two-man crew completely rebuilt my shower taking everything to the bare studs - fixing studs where needed - aligning/rebuilding the not properly built doorway - removing and rebuilding defective pan and right down to the finished product, did it all very professionally, responsibly, and in a very friendly manner. When Ivan and his crew finished the job, we almost felt like members of the family were moving out. They completely cleaned up at the end of each day, before going home, swept, picked everything up, and put all their tools away. And before driving off, Ivan would personally check with one of us to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Very impressed with the way they kept us informed, their work, punctuality, friendliness, and dedication to doing the job correctly and to our personal satisfaction. The job was recently completed just before the holidays, done neatly as well as beautiful workmanship. He was always expanding his knowledge of materials and was easy to talk to about finding the best solutions for both the design and function of the remodel. Ivan was very prompt in responding to my initial request to meet and was the most timely out of all the contractors (about 5) to provide a detailed bid. After some initial confusion on my part, we planned to start work as soon as he was able in 2015. Ivan was here for about 6 weeks, every day. The first 2 weeks were our laundry room/mudroom and powder room renovation. We originally had a small hallway with 4 doors (including a garage door). OUr powder room was L shaped and there was a lot of wasted space and we had a closet and a separate laundry room. We closed off the extra space in the powder and put in a different entry. We then took that extra space, took out the closet and door to the laundry to make one long, large mudroom laundry room. Ivan took down several non-load bearing walls, put up walls, doors, did all the electrical, plumbing, etc. Due to some overages not originally planned with the electrical, we had Ivan leave the laundry and mudroom with everything roughed in, all walls finished, tile repairs finished, etc...essentially 2 empty rooms with all plumbing and electrical ready for fixtures. It worked out great that way because all we had to do was pop in our appliances, some cabinetry and a coat of paint - then we were done. He did all the heavy lifting but in the end we still got to feel like we did something as well. Also, he moved one of our a/c return ducts so our airflow was not affected by our new wall set up. The next 4 weeks Ivan completely demoed and rebuilt our kitchen. We had a galley kitchen with doorway to the laundry, pass through to the living room and a breakfast nook, also open to the living room. First, we closed the walkway to the dining room, we relocated the entry to the pantry, and opened one of the galley walls to the living - creating a nearly complete open concept. From there, Ivan moved the plumbing so that the sink was across the kitchen to the "island" and moved the gas stove down a couple feet. He installed all of our new cabinets, crown molding, and additional cabinet trim. He also arranged for the install of the granite, plus did our sink, disposal, faucet. We had a new backsplash put in and there were tile repairs to be made from moving the plumbing. We also had a bench seat built into our nook. Ivan took great care with our granite, putting in as much support as possible so we could allow for all of our pieces to be solid slabs. On top of that there additional electrical work, we upgraded a circuit breaker, and removed a pot light. We had a few small overages in the kitchen as well, so to stay within budget my husband and I reinstalled our fridge and dishwasher, and we painted the walls/trim ourselves. We are very happy with the work that Ivan did. He was courteous, clean, professional, and his work is excellent. We will be calling him to give our master bathroom a facelift toward the end of the year or early next year. We would gladly recommend him to anyone.

Arrived on time every single day and worked hard each day. They were very professional, polite and cleaned up after themselves each day. Ivan returned every call, email and text either immediately or same day.

Working with Ivan was amazing! I had never done any type of remodeling before and Ivan walked me through it all. The number of decisions that had to be made was at times overwhelming but Ivan objectively explained my options without trying to sway me in any particular direction. He made incredible recommendations that have left me with a master bath that is unlike any other I have seen. In addition to being easy to work with, the quality of work that Ivan and his crew did far exceeded our expectations. My husband and I were so pleased with every aspect of the construction. I am a very detail oriented person and every part of that bathroom from the tile to the custom shower and the paint job - everything is perfect. I initially put off writing this review because it was so difficult to put into words what a great experience we had with Ivan. I would highly recommend Ace Custom Building and will be using them for any projects that I have in the future. Their pricing, quality of work and the ease of doing business with them put them at the top of my list.

Ivan and his team were very professional. He always let me know when to expect him - and he showed up on time. We initially had just a few projects that we wanted completed (Kitchen & Bath), but we got more ambitious (and more confident) as we saw Ivan's work product (and his versatility) so we ultimately expanded the projects to touch every room in the house. We are very pleased with the result - it's like we have a brand new home! Ivan has become my "go-to" guy for all my house projects - both interior and exterior.

Job went well. I made a few changes before the job started but Ivan was very patient and reworked the estimate for me until we had a firm plan. Ivan and his team were very nice and professional. They worked thru the issues that came up after demoing the bottom of the shower and revealing the problem. On the new porcelain tile going in the shower Ivan made design recommendations that really look great! I have no complaints and would recommend Ace Custom Building to others and would use them again if the need arises.

The job went very smoothly. Ivan was very punctual. He is highly skilled. There were no surprises or problems. Tile layout and install was one day and grouting was the next morning.

Called and left messages two days in a row. Was finally able to contact the guy on the third day and after hours. Set up an appointment for a kitchen remodeling estimate for 2/6/2015 at 6pm. The guy never showed up.

We HIGHLY recommend Ivan from Ace Custom Building. We can't say enough about his professionalism, helpfulness, and attention to detail. We are very pleased with his work. Ivan was punctual and came every day to work on our project alone. He and his helper worked non-stop and they do very meticulous work. We also appreciated how informed he was and how he gave us some good ideas of better ways to utilize our space. The tile work was very neat and granite was installed professionally. We had to even trust our home to Ivan as we had to work many of the days he was there, and we felt as if we could completely trust him. His pricing was very fair, we thought, and he even saved us some money by informing us that we didn't need to do schlutter system for our floor after all. Ivan made it very easy to communicate and always got back with us in a very timely manner, whether it was via email, text or phone. We have found our new contractor. We've worked with several contractors before, and we feel you will be very pleased with Ivan. He does ALL the work himself (with one other person, but he was always here at our home.) He's very laid back, as others have noted, and easy to work with. We got a great impression with him right away. Very polite and professional. We plan to have him come back for more work.

Ivan and his helper did a great job. They were creative in dealing with problems that arose - they leveled an uneven floor, they built a vent for an un-vented fan, they reworked trim around the sinks, and they even managed to make an over-sized window in the old bathroom a perfectly sized window in the new shower. Their tile work was excellent, and the new floor and shower look super. Ivan had many suggestions and was easy to work with. He and his helper cleaned up as much as possible every day, and they came on time in the mornings. Both were conscientious in trying to do the best job possible - and the results show their careful work and nice craftsmanship.

The job was done very well. Ivan and his group were very professional. They were very responsive to our needs and our bathrooms came out just like we wanted them to. They are beautiful. Ivan was and his crew were there on time very day and very respectful of our home. Our master was a total remodel and it turned out even better than we imagined. I would definitely use Ace Custom Building again and recommend them for your next remodel.

Removed master bath carpet and terrazzo flooring and replaced with porcelain tile including closets Removed tub and terrazzo surround and build a walk in shower with bench including all plumbing. Removed window and replace with new window. Installed can light over shower. Installed new toiiet I provided the majority of materials - tile, grout, faucets, toliet, window. Ivan and his assistant did all the work and completed the job in about 3+ weeks. They were very good to clean up and minimize the dust and mess. His tile work is very good and he went to extra effort to straighten out the walls which were not straight. We did have some additiional charges from original estimate as there was rotted wood framing that had to be replaced, the floor had to be leveled out,, the wall corrections, and tile work took longer than plan/budgeted. In all the total went up by about $1000 but for the work done was still reasonable.. We had glass doors installed separately. The bathroom looks great! I would use this company again.
