Great. Went very smoothly. Ace arrived when scheduled and completed all painting expertly. Ace moved furniture and unloaded closets before painting and reloaded closets and moved furniture to my complete satisfaction. All my possessions were handled with care. All areas were cleaned up and vacuumed. My home is beautifully refreshed by an expert paint job.

We've hired Ivan for multiple home improvement projects and he's been consistently great. He's reliable, detail-oriented, highly skilled, and reasonably priced. We look forward to working with him again in the future

this table was my grandmothers and is 70+ years old. this table is so beautiful. it was originally finished in a dark red mahogany stain. over the decades the table has sustained scratches, water marks and burns. Ivan refinished my table and repaired all the problem areas. he sanded multiple times, added 2 coats of primer paint and 2 coats of finish paint. the table is even more beautiful than I thought possible with the new white finish.

Great! We recently bought our first home and were pretty overwhelmed initially. Ivan was able to assist us in prioritizing and identifying issues to fix and doing the work efficiently. We really appreciate all his work and plan to hire him again when we are ready to do some remodel work.

A++ quality work! I'm very impressed with the workmanship Ivan has done at my home. I have recently had issues with my water heater spewing water in my attic (two different occasions), and it ruined my dry wall. I've never liked it in that location, so I called up Ace Custom Building to relocate the water heater into my garage. Right from the start he showed experience, knowledge and concern over the project at hand. I was given options of what I could do, and measures to possibly make it cheaper for me. The pricing was fair, the work quick, and the quality was outstanding. Something I take notice in when work is done on my house, whether its done by a contractor or myself is detail. There is plenty of evidence that Ivan had thought of everything down to the last detail. Last but not least I was contacted by him twice after his work was complete, to check in on everything concerning the project. I will definitely be using him again for other projects I have planned in the future. Highly recommend him as your go to contractor.

Absolutely wonderful! This is the 4th job he has done for me and as always exceptional work. This was my biggest project yet. Ivan had so many great ideas to add to what I already had in mind. He made my dream come true. There were a few surprises found when gutting the rooms but he worked around them and made it even better. His attention to detail and expert workmanship is exceptional. I just love my remodel! It feels like a whole new home everyone who see it is impressed. If you want the very best you need Ivan Custom Builders ! Then when all work complete there was a leak coming from upstairs down to my new kitchen! Ivan to the rescue! Ivan is an expert craftsman. He designed, built, finished, and installed a new mantle. This new mantle is a great compliment to my living room. The mantle is built from oak and stained/finished to match the oak flooring in the room. The mantle is perfectly sized for the massive 12 ft fireplace. The fireplace and mantle are transformed and a lovely focal point for the living room. Ivan took great care with each step to produce a quality product and ensure my complete satisfaction.

This has been a dream come true. Ivan and his team have done an excellent job on our bathroom, from the start they were extremely professional, clean and kept an attitude of perfection. After interviewing several contractors, we chose Ivan. He had great reviews on Angie's list and he was willing to work with us on any changes that we wanted to make and assured us that he would be very hands on in the day to day operation of our project. We were not disappointed. He was always accessible to us by phone or on site. His workers were polite and never intrusive. They were in our home for 5 months and we never had any concerns about them being here. The worksite was cleaned at the end of each day and they always arrived promptly and if they were going to be delayed, let us know.. Ivan is very meticulous in his finishes and was very responsive to changes we wanted to make or questions we had. The job included a rebuilt staircase, fireplace, walls, wainscoting, cabinets, windows, moving of walls, doors, and flooring. Ivan , as promised was here almost everyday and he is a true craftsman. We would not hesitate to hire him again.

We are very appreciative of Ivan's advice and recommendations. He would meet with us at supply stores to help select materials and offer design suggestions. The work crew was super friendly and cleaned up every day. We definitely plan to use him again to remodel our kitchen!

This is the 3rd job they have done for me and as always an excellent job! Beautiful work! Everyone who has seen it loves it and one neighbor said it belongs in House Beautiful! Beginning construction, Ivan and Crew completely gutted the living room. Removing the water damaged interior dry wall, carpet, insulation, exterior siding, and windows (all of which were going to be replaced). At one point in the demolition process, the only thing left were the studs; and you could literally walk through the house without using a door. The entryway wall was demoed, as was the fireplace (that was structural), AC duct, and the walls separating the Kitchen, Dinning Room, and Living Room. All the old carpet was removed, and the entryway step was jack-hammered backwards into it’s new position. The old attic AC unit (30 yrs old) was pulled down from the attic and that entire half of the home was emptied. New framing was added for a relocated AC duct and Fireplace (moved to the front of the room for the open concept). Likewise, 6 new 5’x5’ windows were framed in, as well as new patio french doors. Ivan also took this time to re-frame the attic platform for the AC, and added several massive support beams to hold the weight of the new open floor-plan. Furthermore, a new Audio/Video cabinet was framed out facing the living room, and new exterior walls went up. The old exterior walls were directly nailed to the studs. Post-demo, Ivan added a layer of thick plywood (to further help soundproof the house), water membrane, and then the HardiePlank siding. This wall was built to hold against a huge storm! A cool idea that Ivan suggested during re-framing was to add electrical outlets to the soffits, providing an easy place to plug-in Christmas lights. Sound proofing was added between the walls as the interior was framed in. Ivan was proactive managing the entire project, and for portions subcontracted out (to meet time constraints) he was onsite and oversaw the work. An example of this was having an electrician come out to move an electrical box. Before finishing the interior walls, conduit pipes were run between the Audio/Video cabinet and the TV in the front (and side, by the floating shelves) to allow for new HDMI cables to be pulled through in the future. A floating hearth was added below the TV mount, floating shelves were constructed (amazing carpentry work was involved structurally and aesthetically here – we wanted the weight of a human to be supported, in the event a child climbed it without being noticed). Furthermore, time consuming craftsmanship went into the framing of the windows and floorboards. Several days were nothing but manual labor – smoothing the joints/corners by hand. The ceiling was converted from a slope pitch into a tray ceiling, making the room feel more open. Ivan took the framing of the joints into account for future placement of 11 build-in speakers for a Dolby Atmos surround sound system. This included cutting out/running cables for 4 ceiling speakers and 5 vertical wall speakers. Once all the walls were done, standard renovation took place. Ivan textured the walls and painted using several coats. A careful eye on detail was provided as Ivan surveyed the tones of the colors throughout the day – and the affect of shadows on brightness… how the colors contrasted and popped with the custom carpentry. Several different hues of paint were used as a result, and it is beautiful. This process took approximately 3 months. General hick-up occurred along the way, as should be expected in any renovation, but nothing serious. Ivan’s crew was punctual – always starting work at 9am and sometimes working late into the evening to finish the days goals. The quality of the craftsmanship was beyond our expectation, and every day was filled with new excitement as we witnessed empty studs transformed into a modern living room. Ace Custom arrived promptly ever day. They put down drop cloths and covered furniture with plastic. He was very careful when moving my furniture and artwork. My belongings were treated with great care.

Ivan did an excellent job fixing this and went out of his way to find the paint that matched exactly with the old paint. This took three trips to paint stores to achieve this. He was prompt, polite, meticulous in his work, and left everything clean and neat. I would definitely hire him again.

Ivan and his crew are amazing. I can't say enough good things about him and his guys. They do great work, very friendly, clean, trustworthy and talented. They pay special attention to detail. We definitely have plans for them to come back and do our next projects. We have used their services twice and would not hesitate to have them back for more work. They are now our go to for any remodeling projects.

Ivan Munoz, the young man that owns and runs Ace Custom Building is one of the best contractors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have employed approximately 2 dozen contractors and sub-contractors over the last 25 to 30 years. The range of services as well as the range of the ages of these homes have been mind blowing. The oldest house, 125 yrs-- The newest (this house) 20 yrs. old. Ivan is in a tie at #1 with only 1 other in all these years. You learn a lot -- From every job. I look for skill, the ability to not just work for me but most importantly to work WITH me. I look for someone I can count on to bounce ideas back & forth with. Someone I can count on to do something that is not "cookie cutter". I want someone who isn't afraid, when asked "what do YOU think about this idea, this lay out, this particular product, color, this style, etc." to offer up an opinion. the is the 2nd time we've used Ace Custom Building, time before was a much larger job--a TOTAL renovation of our master bath. This may not be the cheapest bid you will get, but you get what you pay for and then some. Very professional, courteous, as well as an attention to detail! Very easy to communicate with. So once again, we were very pleased & highly recommend Ivan Munoz, and his excellent company ACE CUSTOM BUILDING !!!
