The description of what was to be provided was not clear to me. The $39 is a trip charge, not a service call! Buyer beware! Plumber came in and gave me a ridiculous price just to replace 3 water filters! I was very disappointed by this company. I'll not use again.

Overall the service was good. The technician was knowledgeable, but I felt a little pushy when it came to telling me all of the other plumbing issues that he felt were wrong, not 'up to code' etc. I feel that he was taking advantage of us moving into an older home and trying to sell their services, which I found out with further research of Houston plumbing companies, was quite a bit overpriced. I have since used another company for the install of a different style of bathroom fixtures (some of the hardware for the fixtures I purchased for installation by the Wedgeworth technician were too big, so he was unable to install them). I was just as satisfied with their work and was charged $125 per install instead of the $200 quoted by Wedgeworth Plumbing.

Plumber Damondrick arrived on time. He immediately assessed the problem. Looked at ceiling and inspected the tub very thoroughly and found it to be completely dry. He also inspected around toilet (which had been recently replaced. I said I wondered if it was something our housekeeper was doing. He said that was likely since he had seen that before where housekeepers pour water on a floor to wash it. This could be causing the periodic leakage. The tub was also running very slow (a bit clogged) and he cleared that for us. He was very professional and personable. I have had several plumbing problems lately and am ready for them to stop but at least I have a reputable company to deal with. I would call no one but them but I hope not to do it again for awhile

Wedgeworth Plumbing was quick to respond and I was able to schedule an appointment with them quickly. The service technician came out on time and was very polite and professional. However, as it turns out, the only thing I got from the $39 I paid to through Angie's list was for them to spend 5 minutes in my house telling me how much they were GOING to charge me to unclog my kitchen sink. And how much they were GOING to charge me to try and find out why my water pressure was low in my bathroom. (They claim $39 is a good deal to give me a quote, but I've worked with many plumbing companies that give free quotes) So the quote was $215 to unclog the kitchen sink and $242 to rebuild the tub faucet (but there would be no guarantee this faucet rebuild would fix my water pressure problem) I felt prices were high and it wasn't fair that I had already paid $39 through Angie's list for them just to come out. But regardless, since I had already taken a day off of work to be here when they came, I decided to agree to the charge of $215 to unclog my kitchen sink. The technician worked with his cable machine to unclog the drain and was unsuccessful in doing so. He then said I must have a broken sewer line. He then told me the charge to repair that would be $2,012!!! I no longer wanted to work with this company because they have you agree to work and charges, but don't guarantee a positive outcome. Even though they were not successful in unclogging the drain, they still required me to pay the $215 charge (In addition to the $39 I already paid). After going back and forth with customer service and owner numerous times on the phone, they agreed to take 10% off the charge and give me credit for $39). This put my total cost of services to Wedgeworth Plumbing at $190 and nothing to show for it. My drain is still clogged and my bathroom water pressure is still low :(

I had purchased a home and needed several repairs performed including: The water main shutoff was inoperable, the master shower leaked, the disposal was stuck, and the valves on the toilets leaked. This company has a set price list, which I appreciate because you know what the work will cost upfront. However, some of the prices seemed high - for instance, the price to replace a faucet in a bathroom is $290, not including the hardware itself. The work was all completed extremely well and timely. The plumbers wore booties over their shoes when they were in the house, which I appreciated.

Rex had a the plumbing issue diagnosed, let my place and returned with a brand new and improved toilet in less than 30 minutes. He installed the new toilet and hauled the old one off within 20 minutes. Fast, professional and priced fair.

I purchased the Angie list "$39 Plumbing Service Call". The service technician came at the requested time and provided detail information. It was the way to turn on the ignition button and it was resolved without any tools used. The problem was fixed. The following is what kept this from being rated a full "A" What I do have an issue was that they wanted to charged me over $100 for showing us how to turn on the ignition button. Again, no tools were used to fix this problem. They initially told me the "$39 Plumbing Service Call"is only for the service call to come out and additional labor was not covered. However, the fine print on the Angie list deal stated that it covers labor: "Deal covers labor only, materials not included". I would understand if this turn out to be a bigger job and a lot more labor\materials are needed. At the end, after a few phone calls, they didn't charge me the "additional labor" for showing us how to turn on the ignition button. They did fix the problem.

They were very professional and prompt. I was told I wouldn't be able to get an appointment until the next day but that if they had someone finish early, they would send someone out immediately, and they did! Great service!

Water heater was not working. The ignition coil needed to be replaced. The technician was able to get the part and replace the same day. The technician was professional and explained to me in detail the options. Happy with the service.

The plumber gave me an honest professional opinion, and told me my problem was nothing to worry about long term. He understood that it was bothersome because it was noisy, but did not try to sell an expensive fix that was not necessary. He gave me possible solutions to quiet the pipe, and then went on his way.

Great. Glen was very good about explaining the problems and giving me options on how to address it. Scheduling was easy - they started the next day. They did the job in 3 days, and I ended up with great water flow, a properly plumbed water source for the refrigerator, a proper sink drain, and new fixtures for the laundry connections. Will be so much happier with that part of the system now. We are eventually going to need to repipe the rest of the house, and I will definitely call them to do it.

The plumbers arrived on time and called prior to arrival to confirm time/location. They came in and we went over the problem, at which time they produced the two possible causes and the upfront pricing. They proceeded to remove the toilet and upon removal they called me over to inspect the cracked cast iron toilet flange, which requires the use of a compression replacement flange. They complete the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up the work area and then proceeded to provide the invoice less my Angie's list coupon. They followed-up with me on the job. I would and I'm going to use them for further plumbing work.

I came downstairs Thursday morning after my wife had left for work to find raw sewage coming out of our kitchen sink and overflowing onto the floor. I needed to find a plumber quick and one with a good reputation should the problem require follow up visits to be completely resolved. I joined Angie's List, did a quick search for plumbers, and found one which offered a discounted service deal. I purchased the service and then ran into a problem. The Angie's List application wouldn't allow me to schedule a service call until the following Monday. So, I called the provider directly, and they had someone knocking on the door a little before 3 pm. The tech was very professional and provided a price quote after inspecting the problem. He spent a little over two hours cleaning the lines and cleaned up the sink area when he was finished. Total out of pocket was $154 for same day service. I don't know if that's a good price or not, but we were more than happy to pay it and would have paid even more to fix that particular problem. As for what caused the blockage, let's just say Flushable Wipes are now banned in our household. As an aside, somebody needs to file a class action lawsuit against the manufacturers of these products. It is false or at the very minimum misleading advertising. Yes. They are flushable, but they do not dissolve.

Half the servicemen were nice, half were not. When we had a problem, the owner was good about sending out the team again. My big complaint is really that they didn't seem to know how do something at a mediium or low price. IF they coudl have just given the name of a good cheap toilet -- which hundreds of Amazon or Home Depot review attest exist -- we would have gotten a new toilet their first time out. But their upsell cost us a lot of time with a bad toilet. I'd use these guys if I lived in

A good amount of water had leaked into the cabinet below the sink, so I wanted someone to quickly check the problem. Brandon arrived within one hour of my phone call. He showed me that on the pull-down feature of the Delta faucet, there was a part that only needed tightening. He said that another customer had the same issue this week! He was very professional, and I will definitely call Wedgeworth Plumbing again in the future.

They were prompt, courteous and professional. The office gave me a window of time when they were expected to show up (which was only one hour long) and called me to let me know when the plumbers were 15 minutes away. They looked at the problem toilet and noted the leak. The two other toilets did not have problems, but the plumber noted that the internal equipment was old (same age as the one that had the leak) and would have to be replaced at some point in the future. I asked him to go ahead and replace the parts in all 3 toilets. He and his assistant got straight to work and the job was completed in about 30-45 minutes. I was very happy with the service I received.

Edwin took a look at the problem and tightened the cap saying that it was loose. All was done literally in a couple of minutes. Problem solved! There was a misunderstanding about the service/diagnostic fee, but Sean from the office contacted us afterwards and resolved the issue! The price for the service was discounted and we would be happy to use them again in future!

I had a very good experience with them. They were prompt, came out, told us what we needed to know. They sort of warned us about upcoming law changes about hot water heaters but said ours were fine and we didn't need to change them out. They gave us good advice but let us make the decision.

They were honest and punctual with no surprises and had everything done in timely manner, thorough, honest, and great communication through the whole project. Under-promised over delivered. Would highly recommend to anybody. This is my new plumber I am done looking for a plumber.

Edwin did a really great job. He was punctual and professional. I had bought a whole new faucet for him to install at the recommendation of another plumber, but it took Edwin about 2 minutes to look at the sink and identify that the problem was just the cartridge. He was out of the particular cartridge that my sink required, so he went to 4 different stores to find it and then replaced it very quickly/efficiently. Saved me about $200 in total!

One night we discovered our half-bath and master bath were flooded with an inch of water indicating that the main sewer line had backed up. The Clear Lake Water Authority was called and, for the next two days, graciously helped us confirm a completely sheared sewer pipe line. The break was confirmed, via camera probes, to be buried in the middle of the back yard, requiring extensive excavation. Over the next five days we called no fewer than 10 plumbing companies, extensively interviewing them with respect to their experience, years of service, diagnostics and recommended fix. We seriously interviewed about five of these companies who came to the property to give us bids. These companies were selected based on Angie's List and friend/neighbor recommendations. Consequently, a wide range of expertise, price and honesty were observed. Most importantly, the ability to answer highly technical questions served as the primary gauge for whom we ultimately selected (I am a NASA engineer.) Sean at Wedgeworth Plumbing excelled in all of these areas. He is highly knowledgable in his field, very trustworthy and speaks in a manner which shows his mastery of his trade. Although we had to wait for a week for Sean's availability (with no showers, toilet, etc.) I knew that this was the man I wanted. Sean's excavation crew was second-to-none, taking care in the plethora of utility lines running underground in our backyard. Sean did an excellent job in the supervision of the excavation and the actual sewer line replacement. Ultimately the Clear Lake Water Authority and the Houston City inspectors were completely satisfied with his work, with no issues noted. Throughout the entire project Sean took considerable time, on the phone and in person, to answer the plethora of my technical questions about the project. Again, his knowledge and mastery of the plumbing trade was always evident. Although not old, he very much is old-school in wanting to do a quality job with quality materials and workmanship. His excavation crew finished the project by doing an excellent job packing around the pipe with dirt, filling the trench, and putting the grass back on top. You would barely know our entire back yard had been entirely dug up. In closing, with respect to knowledge of trade, quality of workmanship and price I would not go with any other company other than Wedgeworth for any type of plumbing issue.
