The Wedgeworth rep showed up early within the promised time. He needed to go to the supply house to get the cartridge, gave me an approximate turn around time, and did the work without incident. I am happy..... my wife is happy that I finally took care of this problem. Their total investment in time was probably around 2 1/2 hours and they replaced a part. I believe the price was fair. I mention this detail because I've read lots of Angie's List reviews for different services (plumbing, A/C, Electrical, etc) and I notice a common negative review happens when a customer Googles the price a part that was replace and decides that the cost of the service should be very close to the cost of the part. Its necessary to pay for the cost of the professionals knowledge, time, truck, insurance, etc. Its not dishonest and its not an overcharge. Hopefully readers of this review will keep that in mind when reviews are written.

There were some heating element issues that were not found back in March.

Showed up on time. Fair pricing & good work. Second time that I've used them, and would use them again in the future.

I selected Wedgeworth Plumbing as the company has high ratings per Angie's List. However, the plumber sent by the company has three years experience was clearly incompetent in handling this plumbing work. I explained to the plumber that I wanted a female pipe fitting or adapter to be soldered to the stub end of the copper piping. I drew a sketch illustrating the adapter with external male pipe threads to engage the bathtub spout. The plumber stated that he has an expensive hydraulically operated tool which will secure the pipe fitting so that soldering will not be necessary. I saw the tool which has some length as well as weight to it. Although I was skeptical as to how the plumber would maintain alignment of the tool with the stub end copper pipe while sitting or stooping inside the bathtub, I literally left him to his device and left the bathroom. I returned over one hour later and found the stub end copper pipe bent and foreshortened. No fitting or adapter had been attached. I could also see remnants of solder filler on the bent copper pipe. The plumber said that in order to remove the bent pipe and replace it with a straight copper pipe, it would be necessary to make a 8 inch by 8 inch hole in the wall in the hallway to gain access to the piping. He further mentioned that the repair to the sheetrock would be MY responsibility. Amazing. However, in truth, there would not be any holes in the hallway wall, because despite the bent and foreshortened copper pipe, with a competent plumber or handyman, the bent section of the piping can be hacksawed off and a fitting can be soldered on to the remaining straight section. I contacted Mr. John Giuliani, who is the owner of Wedgeworth Plumbing, and on October 7, 2015, after his arrival, he quickly assessed the situation and proceeded to remove the bent section of the copper pipe, clean and remove sharp edges from the hacksawed end of the copper pipe, and solder a brass female adapter to the stub pipe. He was careful to place a heat insulating blanket to protect the bathtub tile adjacent to the stub end pipe from excessive heat. Mr. Giuliani certainly did a thorough and competent job in installing the bathtub spout and the rating shown above does not reflect his work but that of his plumber.

He's totally awesome. There is no other way to put it. So nice and fair on the price too. I really couldn't be happier with Sean.

The provider came in with the right tools and trap and finished the job on time. Scheduling and reminders were great.

Called Company the morning of 10/22/15 and spoke with Erica who was very helpful and professional. Scheduled same day service. The Technician, Damondrick Bennett arrived at 1130 am. Less than one hour later the issue was solved. Mr. Bennett was highly knowlegabe and very proficient. The cost of the service was more than reasonable.

The office called me to say the plumbers could come early, so that was great. They were personable, professional, and did great work!

Determined cause of leak, gave me minimum of what was needed and another option for other problems identified. Removed old pvc pipes and replaced it with new ones below sink. Ultimately, I choose to replace the old pipes as well since the price was reasonable. I appreciated that they told be a plumber would be there between 2 and 4 p.m.. The office called me to let me know they were on their way and their plumber Rex arrived at 2:30. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Hopefully I will not need the services of a plumber any time soon but if I do need one I will call Wedgeworth plumbing again.

I came home to a house smelling of gas. I got Center Point out within the hour and then i was on the search for a good plumber. I found Wedgeworth here on Angies list. They were able to come out same day and they were the cheapest price over two other highly rated places I called. The tech was there first thing at the start of our window and we got a call about 20 min before he got here. Rex did a great job. And the lady i was in contact with (sorry dont remember her name!) was extremely nice and helpful. Will definitely ise in future and would recommend to anyone. Thanks Wedgeworth!

Work was done very well. They were responsive and professional. However, the Angie's list "coupon is deceiving as they only applied it as a credit to the overall bill. It didn't amount to being much of a "coupon."

Polite efficient service including a call 15 minutes before arrival. arrived on time carried out the work in a tidy professional manner and completed the job. I would recommend this company for plumbing services.

We are extremely pleased with Wedgeworth's professionalism. The asterisk * by the price denotes a nice discount to us for being Angie's List Members. Wedgeworth's Rex did the hard work, spending hours lying full length ona stone floor to perform most of the job. The affected area is now completely clean, inside and out, and no damage to our Woodmode kitchen!! We plan to call Wedgeworth again quite soon for a job involving our back bath. We're just waiting for a bit of a cool front, since I think this is an "outside" job. The plumber arrived on time. The problem was promptly fixed. The overall charge was reasonable for the parts and service.

My problem with Wedgeworth is resolved. After I complained on Angie's list about Wedgeworth not honoring my coupon, I discovered what I thought was a problem with the first job that I hired Wedgeworth to do, which was to install an automatic main line shut off valve. Wedgeworth installed the shut off valve while I was out of the country and this was the first opportunity I had to test it. I closed the valve but still noticed a small stream of water flowing out of the downstairs faucet and it was still flowing after 20 minutes. So I called Wedgeworth and they came to the house despite the fact I had recently given them a negative review (regarding the tub valve / coupon) that no doubt was still fresh on their minds. Wedgeworth tested the system and determined no new water was coming into the house and that the water that was coming out of the faucet was the house water draining from the upstairs plumbing. Apparently it can take a considerable amount of time for the house plumbing to drain completely. Next we discussed the tub valve project for which I gave them a bad review. I accept Wedgeworth's misunderstanding about the coupon. I hired Wedgeworth to replace the tub/faucet valve and they did a fine job. At one point in time I was considering doing the work myself because it does not appear to be all that complicated. I actually did some of the work myself and I was planning on continuing the work on it once I made sure that I could turn off the main water valve. However, I'm glad that I came to my senses and I hired Wedgeworth to complete the job because it is more involved than I thought and I would still be messing around with it had I not hired them.

Plumber arrived on time. He did what I asked him to do and he was professional. One hour after he left I turned on the shower and the handle fell off in my hand. It might have been coincidence or may have been because he repeatedly turned it on and off while unclogging our drains- who knows. Anyway, I couldn't turn it off or reattach it with the hot shower water pouring out. I called and he returned and repaired it (and did not charge me). An hour later filthy/smelly water filled my kitchen sink when the washing machine drained. Again I called and they sent someone out an hour later. He said that when they cleaned my pipes they apparently pushed the clog towards my washer and it was pushed to the sink when the washer drained. He re-ran my washer and we saw that the problem had self corrected. Again he did not charge me. I appreciate their responsivness to my concerns and willingness to repeatedly come out until I was content with the work.

The deal said $39 for any service call. So, I expected the changing of the kitchen faucet to cost $39. But he charged $299 on top of that making my total cost $338 - a big jump from $39. It should have been made clear that the $39 was just the cost for him to show up and not actually do any work. He did a good job, but I wouldn't use them just because of being misled. And I was never sure if the $299 included the $39 again or not -- for all I know, I was charged twice for the actual "show-up" cost. I did contact them to check on it but the issue was never resolved.

The service was great! He identified a couple of issues and addressed them perfectly. The technician's name was Rex.

My upstairs bathroom is over the dining room and on Monday morning after a shower I heard a dripping sound in the dining room and subsequently a water stain developed on the ceiling. Having had another pipe fail before (the house is 35 years old), I wanted someone out quickly to assess if the house was going to be flooded, and then determine what needs to be fixed - the faucet itself had begun dripping into the tub recently, but this was something else. I called Wedgeworth to see if they might be able to get someone out that day, but at the end of the day as I could not take time away from the office earlier. They checked schedules and arranged for someone to come at 5:00, which was perfect. Damondrik took the time to assess the problem from above and below and determined the overflow pipe was leaking, but I was not in danger of an immediate burst, so he gave me an estimate and we scheduled to have the repairs done on Thursday. He and Rex came Thursday morning at 10:00, and worked through to early afternoon. Because there is very limited access to the pipes, they had to cut into the dining room ceiling (which they had told me was a possibility and which I had experienced before so no surprise). They also discovered that the overflow drain opening on the tub itself had actually rusted out and deteriorated badly, so they worked up a patch up for that as well as fixing the faucet leaks. The guys were polite, knowledgeable and professional, and cleaned up after the job (including tacking up plastic to cover my dining room ceiling hole). We discussed the need of replacing the tub (yes, in my future plans) but this fix solved the immediate problem. The final price was as estimated with an Angie's list discount - no extra charges. Overall I was very satisfied with the work, and would consider using Wedgeworth again.

He was prompt, courteous and professional. I was very happy with the service. I would definitely use them again.

We had a discount for $200 worth of service for $129. The final bill was an additional $42. Total of $242 for 1 faucet. A bit much, I will not be using again.

Very well, they did an excellent job and the service was great.

Showed up on time, provided price quotes, and effectively resolved the problems. However, did not have basic inexpensive items to conclude repairs and had to travel across town to acquire these items which should have been at local hardware store. Indicated they would return the next day and did not show up. Had to reschedule. Good plumbers but not well organized and are expensive for what were pretty basic jobs.

Great! Damondrik examined behind and under tub and found no leak. Also fixed slow drain. On time arrival. Very professional and courteous.

The plumber showed up on time and gave an estimate that I thought was very fair for the work to be done. The work was carried out in a professional manner and he took the time to do it right. He cleaned up after the job and everything worked exactly as I had envisioned. I plan to use this company again for my plumbing work.
