Description of Work: They did a whole house clean on my 28,800 square ft house. Four ladies worked for about 3.5 hours. We didn't think our house was that dirty, but the level of detail was amazing - right down cleaning light switch plates and decluttering my spice rack. They were friendly and communicative. I liked them enough that I have hired them for regular service

I have used this maid service for 4 years. They do an excellent job and are professional. Once they broke an item and I received a check for the item the next week. They seem a little pricey but are worth every penny.
Description of Work: I have this maid service twice a month. They scrub the floors with a brush, clean baseboards and vacumn dog hair off the furniture in addition to all other housecleaning services.

***PATHETIC SERVICE*** Upon, reading great reviews here, I was excited to find such a top notch cleaning service. I should of known when no one returned my initial voice mails that customers are not important to this company. Last try, I called first thing in the morning & caught someone in the office, she apologized for the lack of reply & didn't know what had happened. I thought no big deal, obviously from the reviews, this service must be well worth it & the following week I scheduled their service. $130 per hour, 4 girls clean an average of 1,000 sq ft an hour. Yes,expensive but I was willing to pay to get the job done right the first time & in a quick manner. Hence, I hired them expecting the gold standard of cleaning. HUGE MISTAKE! The girls did arrive on time. The supervisor estimated cleaning would take 3, probably 4 hours. I said ok, but 3 should do it seeing as how the house is empty & I instructed them not to clean carpets or ceiling fans. 3 hours later as they were wrapping up, I found kitchen island counter not cleaned at all, 3 bathroom countertops & its trim so poorly cleaned the corners were full of dust & fuzz & actual paint chips laying on the countertop. Unbelievably, my master spa tub & shower had never even had the water turned on. It had all been "damp wiped." Is that a proper clean for a bathroom? Additionally, another set of storage cabinets had completely been missed. There is more to add here, but you get the point. I had to tell them what to clean & how to clean the next 1 hour. Ridiculous. I called back after the cleaning & their remedy is to send someone back out to clean to my satisfaction. Unbelievable. I already forced them to do this which used an additional hour that they charged me for. Should I be further hassled & inconvenienced b/c they didn't do the job right the first time? When you purchase a BMW, you know its expensive but you also know it will deliver high speed & quality performance. Not so in this case. All in all, she said she would talk it over w/ the manager & call me back this morning. It's 1 pm, still waiting for THAT call . . . This service I received, truthfully, was definitely not worth more than $250. Advice, go w/ the lower price, mediocre cleaning maid services. You will get "this same quality service" without paying an arm & leg. My fireplace mantle, still dusty . . . & I'm out $500+
Description of Work: Hired "The Maids" to give the initial deep clean prior to my move in. My house is completely empty, therefore, no appliances, furniture, etc. I had new ceiling fans installed which did not need cleaning. My carpets were to be steam cleaned & account for half of the house. I requested them not to either of these. So, my service included cleaning tile floors (half of house), all of kitchen (cabinets inside & out, frig, stove, oven, pantry) all bathrooms, all additional cabinetry & built ins throughout house, fireplace mantles, staircase banister, windows, seals, baseboards, and blinds.

The member scheduled a move-in clean for her 5201 square foot home on 7/21/10. She was told by the customer service manager that the 4 person team usually averages 1000 square feet per hour. Therefore, the clean could take anywhere between 4-5 hours. If the home was in really bad condition it could take longer than five hours. The member also requested extra projects for the team to complete during the clean. These extra projects included cleaning out the refrigerator, cleaning the oven and cleaning the interior and exterior of the windows. Once the team arrived they began cleaning immediately. The supervisor estimated that it would take the team 3.5 hours to 4 hours to complete the thorough cleaning of the home. The team could not do a thorough cleaning of the home in 3 hours as the customer thought. Although she instructed the team not to clean the ceiling fans or carpets. The team was still expected to clean the rest of the house from top to botton, including the windows, refrigerator and stove. At the end of the third hour the team was not wrapping up. They were still cleaning vigorously and the customer began to interfere with the team's ability to work efficiently by pointing out areas that the team members had not had an opportunity to clean yet. The supervisor was still cleaning her designated area and at the end of the clean it is her responsibility to complete a thorough inspection of the home. The team leader did not start her inspection until 3.5 hours into the clean. The inspection took approximately 20 minutes and the member was with the team leader during the entire inpection. The only area that the member pointed out, along with the team leader that was not cleaned properly was an area of tile in the master shower (where the top of the tile meets the wall). The team leader recleaned all of the areas that the member pointed out that were not to her satisfaction, although they had been cleaned very thoroughly. The water was turned on to clean the showers and tubs. The kitchen island had not been cleaned at the 3 hour mark, but it was cleaned before the team leader began her inspection. The bathroom counter tops and trim were cleaned properly before the inspection and to make the customer satisfied (as it is our goal to satisfy the customer before we leave) the team members recleaned the areas while the team leader and the member continued the inspection. The member was home at the end of the clean and was satisfied with the clean. The 4 person team completed the clean in 3 hours and 50 minutes. The member did not call in regards to her clean until approximately 4:00 p.m. that same day and the team left at 12:30 p.m.. The customer service manager missed her call because she was on the other line assisting another customer. The manager called her back immediately when she finished with the previous customer. The manager had to leave a voice mail because the member did not answer. The manager answered the phone the next time the member called. The manager apologized for missing the member's first phone call and explained that she was on the other line. The member then talked about how long the team was in the home and that the last hour of the clean was wasted because they were recleaning areas she felt should have been cleaned. The manager reminded her that the team averages about 1000 square feet per hour and the team finished a clean that could have taken 5 or more hours in 3 hours and 50 minutes. The manager then offered to have our field manager go out to her home to correct any areas that she was not satisfied with and the member declined. It is company policy to reclean any areas that the customer is not happy with free of charge. Please remember that the member was home during the entire clean and accompanied the team leader during the final inpsection. The member declined the free reclean. The manager advised the member that she would address the complaint with the field manager so that the field manager could address any necessary training issues with the team. The manager did not promise a returned phone call the next morning as she did everything she could to satisfy the member and the member refused the offer.

They decide the price looking at how many rooms we have. They offered to give me a discount. There were about four of them here, and it took around two hours for them to do the job. They gave us a ballpark time and were mostly here when they said they would be here. They would call us half an hour before they came to make sure that we were there, and I liked that. I gave them instructions which I felt they followed. They were in and out fairly fast. I think they had cleaned well too. The communication was a little difficult because they spoke Spanish. One of them spoke English, but her English wasn?t good enough. They would?ve done the windows if we had asked them but we didn?t. They had damaged one of our devices by cleaning using a particular agent, and we were not happy with that. I have decided to try somebody else next time.

I did not hire them because of much uncertainty around their prices and their bad communication. They asked me to describe my house and their estimate was based on my on-line description. After it, I got this info (only info/response) from them: "FIRST TIME CLEAN = $130 + tax per hour - Our team averages 1000 square feet per hour, depending on the condition of the home. Once the team arrives, they will be able to provide a more accurate estimate as to how long the first clean will take. EVERY FOUR WEEKS = $145 - $165 + tax - This price is a flat rate. After we complete the first time clean, we will be able to provide you a firm rate for ongoing service. This price will be adjusted according to your home." I do not like surprises (if I'm expecting a bill for $260, I would hate to get a final bill for $390), thus I asked them if they could visit my house to give me a more precise estimate. I also asked them simple questions related to products & hygiene (such as do you use "green" products? how do you handle the "sponges", "cloths" to be used in kitchen/bathroom/bedrooms? do you bring "new" sponges, cloths?). They did not respond.

Her first contacted us via ReachLocal to find out if we service her area. The customer service representative responded to her both by phone and by email and notified her that we did service her area. The Customer Service Representative did not hear back from her so she followed up once again via email and and asked her to fill out an online estimate request form. She did so and the Customer Service Representative tried to give her an estimate over the phone and when the phone call was not returned she sent the estimate via email. The following is a copy of the email that the Customer Service Representative sent her on May 18, 2009 at 12:32 p.m: Thank you for filling out the online request form. I have listed your estimate below with some additional information about how we work. This estimate is based on the details you have provided us and is subject to change based on the condition of your home. The first time we clean your home we will damp wipe all of the baseboards, window sills, door ledges, blinds and ceilings fans. This is in addition to our 22-Step Healthy Touch Deep Cleaning System, which is done each time we clean your home. These areas will be dusted/vacuumed as a part of your regular cleaning as well. We work in teams of four and bring all of our own equipment/supplies. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the information I have provided. Thanks again! FIRST TIME CLEAN = $130 + tax per hour - Our team averages 1000 square feet per hour, depending on the condition of the home. She only made one comment about "green" products in her estimate request. The question was not addressed in the online estimate; however, the Customer Service Representative asked her to please contact her with any additional questions. She also left several messages on her voicemail and the member never returned her calls. The Maids Home Services made every attempt to provide her with as accurate as an estimate as possible and offered her extremely courteous and professional service.

They arrived with 5 women, one of which was the supervisor, brought their own gear and cleaning supplies. I was stunned because I thought, goodness, what are they going to do with 5 of them in this 2 bedroom condo? I pointed out the fragile items and left. Well, when I arrived back home, the place was spotless, they even cleaned the baseboards in the closets. They charged more on the first time and then about $120 for regular cleaning. I waited to review them because I asked them to come back every 2 weeks. Still amazing cleaning, I receive a call the day before making sure that I remember that they are coming the next morning, they clean, they automatically bill and I am happy!
Description of Work: Spring cleaning - they cleaned everything from ceiling fans to baseboards, scrubbed the floors, cleaned the grout, and cleaned the blinds. They even cleaned the light fixtures and bulbs in the bathroom.

There were 5 women that came over. They brought their own supplies and one of them spoke English. They came in, got busy, and within a couple of hours they had accomplished all of the cleaning. I thought the price they charged was fair or at least a price I was willing to pay. Overall, I think the quality of work was pretty good though there was one closet shelf that they neglected that had construction dust on it that I thought they should have cleaned.
Description of Work: There was a house newly constructed that I was going to move into and I wanted the service to come in before I moved in and clean all the surfaces.

The cleaning was fine-very clean. However, communication to set up appointment was poor, a lot of unreturned calls and missed messages. After the maids completed their cleaning, they proceeded to put fliers on the houses in our immediate neighborhood. I did not appreciate that. After the cleaning, there was no follow-up either to make sure we were satisfied, nor to set up regular cleaning (I was originally looking for weekly cleaning). With no further communication from them except for a warning not to hire one of their workers independently, we moved on.

THE MAIDS HOME SERVICES HAS DOCUMENTATION THAT WE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT THE MEMBER THREE TIMES AFTER HER INITIAL CLEANING. THE SALES MANAGER LEFT VOICE MESSAGES ON TWO SEPARATE PHONE LINES FOR THE MEMBER INQUIRING ABOUT THE QUALITY OF SERVICE THAT THE TEAM PROVIDED TO HER HOME AND ASKING HER IF SHE WAS INTERESTED IN SETTING UP WEEKLY SERVICE. THE DATES OF THOSE PHONE CALLS WERE 9/20/2007, 9/24/2007, AND 9/28/2007. THIS MEMBER DID NOT RETURN OUR PHONE CALLS SO WE NEVER PHONED HER AGAIN. THE MAIDS HOME SERVICES PRIDES ITSELF IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION. WE MAKE IT A POINT TO CALL ALL CUSTOMERS AFTER ALL INITIAL CLEANS. The company failed to respond to both a phone call and an online request for an estimate. I called again a week later and got an almost immediate response. We scheduled a deep-cleaning job, including windows, for a few days later. The four-person team arrived within the one-hour window they had promised. Upon arrival, the leader gave us an estimate of 3 hours, 20 minutes. We OKed it and they started immediately, finishing in 3 hours, 10 minutes. They brought all their own equipment and supplies, followed my fussy wife's instructions very well, and did an excellent job. They charge $130/hr, and bill in 10-minute segments. They have given us an estimate of 1 hour, 10 minutes for a regular cleaning every two weeks, which we will probably accept.

Overall, they did a great job. I appreciated the fact that they work as a team; the job gets done quicker and they seem to work together very well. There were a couple of areas that were missed, but overall I couldn't be happier. I intend to have them come regularly. This is my first experience with a cleaning service and was very positive. It cost a little more than I had expected, but not outrageous.

The bright yellow car arrived on time and 5 women started toting in their equipment. The service provided all of the cleaning products and everything needed to clean, vacuums, mops, etc. One of the women was English speaking and the team had a list from the job scheduler of all the things I had asked to be done in order of the importance to me: kitchen shelving to blinds. The team performed well and were in and out in 1 hour and 20 minutes. The only quibble was that someone forgot to clean the closet shelving in the study.

They do a fantastic job of cleaning our home and we are completely satisfied with their work.
Description of Work: They clean our 4000 square foot home as part of a weekly service contract. One week they clean the entire house by vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, and doing general house cleaning, and the next week they do only 2000 square feet of the home. The first week the charge is 138 dollars and when they come back the following week they do only one half and the charge is 89 dollars. They do windows, but that is a separate fee.

This is a terrific team of four people. They are in and out in one hour and they do just great. They do particularly good with the floor. I am super happy with them. They are also willing to work out a flexible schedule with you. I cannot pinpoint what they charged me at this time. I do not know what there table of pricing is; I think they go by square footage. They will give you a figure. They also charge by the hour. First they will start with a deep cleaning and it is very well worth it. I think the idea that there are four of them is what really winds it for me. They do offer other services, but, I have not taking advantage of those yet.
Description of Work: I had my entire four bedroom home cleaned, dusted, vacuumed and all by The Maids.
