The Maids of West Houston

We hired the Maids of West Houston four years ago. We have used them since. They come every two weeks and keep our house from getting gross. Even our young children notice how much cleaner the house feels, smells and looks. Prices are based per number of rooms (and also on the weekly work load). A crew of three to four employees shows up every time at the same time.

They call ahead when to expect them and they show up within the allotted time. Good overall cleaning and will make the beds/change the sheets.

This was the best cleaning I have ever had from a Maid Service. Usually after a Maid Service comes the days following I find places where they did not clean or did not do a good job. After The Maid of West Houston came to my house, for days I kept discovering places they had cleaned that I hadn't expected cleaned. Their customer service representative was always easy to reach, professional and helpful. This was the best service I have ever used.

The 4 ladies showed up on time, cleaned the wood paneling and wood blinds till they shined, bathrooms and floors were very sparkly. The house looked wonderful.

I was extremely pleased with the level of service the team of maids provided. I have a 2100 square foot house, 4 bed and 2 1/2 bath. First, I'd like to say this is the 3rd cleaning service I've used in the last 3 years and think I've found the winner. They cleaned my house in about 2 hours. I'm extremely picky about how my house is cleaned and feel I'm a little OCD about it. Well, they exceeding my expectations!

There was a scheduling snafu and when no one showed up by 5:00PM I called since the estimate was for 3 to 3.5 hours and the day was already gone. Our date didn't get put where it was "supposed to go" so I rescheduled for the next week. Things like this happen though it was a first for me - I should have heeded it as sign of things to come. The cleaning team did show up the following week but I had issues concerning the time estimated for cleaning and the time that was spent - a real discrepancy; the quality or lack of attention to details; and the cost. I paid for an initial deep clean but ended up receiving a cutting-corners regular old clean. I thought that we could fine-tune together and move on. But I have had no contact with Corina since I replied to her follow-up email two weeks ago. I emailed her again, asking if I was a client or not. Still no response. I'm not sure how Maids of West Houston got on Angie's List but they do not belong there for their poor customer service alone! Very disappointed.

They came once and it was pretty poor, actually. I had to go back a re-clean a number of things after they left. The windows were a mess and the kitchen was not up to my standards, neither was one of the bathrooms. I got the feeling that they were overpriced in the first place, but they were the company that could come in short notice and take care of the job for me. Ordinarily I would not have accepted someone with such a high bid. Once they were done I was so frustrated. They called me later and I was curious to see what they would do. I made a remark about booking them again later and she sounded surprised as though they are not used to people booking them again.

This is the first time I have ever called a maid service but the house was just gross by my standards, which are pretty high. My house gets a good cleaning once a week and touchups during the week but there are all those places you just never have time to do. So I called The Maids of West Houston. Four ladies came out to my home and worked for at least 2.5 hours cleaning every surface ? ceiling fans, doors, furniture, baseboards, kitchen, bathrooms, etc. When they were done, I was absolutely amazed. I have scrubbed and scrubbed my poor shower and still couldn?t get it clean. The ladies got all the stains out, all the soap buildup, all the water spots off the door; it looked brand new. I was so pleased with the results. Unfortunately, an antique bowl was accidentally broken so I called the office and explained to Corina, the service rep what had happened. She was very apologetic and assured me that it would be replaced? there were no questions asked. I was amazed at that as well. So, I sent her a picture of the bowl and a replacement I found online. She emailed me back informing me that the item had been ordered and would be delivered directly to me by a company representative. Can you believe customer service like that in this day and age? And then to just put the cherry on top I received a thank you card in the mail for using their service! I see some concerns with other viewers regarding price but 4 ladies worked 2.5 hours on my home. That is 10 hours of combined work for $37 an hour. I promise you are paying your auto mechanic and any other service called to your home a lot more than that. I thought it was a bargain for what I receive in return. I wouldn?t hesitate to call them again for service, and I will, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them should you need a great cleaning service. Excellent, excellent business!

They have been doing an excellent job. They are superb at what they do and are very friendly. My daughter even uses them and you can't find fault with what they do.

Their tone of voice is not kind. Some cannot speak English. Inconsistent with reminder calls and very unclear with the scheduling. I want to move back to Colorado soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! We have had more problems living in Houston for just 5 months, than we had in Colorado for 26 years!

The Girls did a great job.I am very happy with how thorough they were.

They were very thorough, there were four of them and they kind of swarmed through the house. For deep cleaning for the level that they do I think it's a good service, I would do that again. But as far as an all the time think I think it's more money. The only thing I didn't like is I couldn't communicate with the staff here. They were non-English speaking. The tried and they were good, but it ended up being a lot of pointing and motioning. That was tough. They did a great job. There was a communication barrier.

I was putting my house on the market and wanted a really good cleaning and needed the windows cleaned inside and out. I had to call the crew back out the next day to re-clean several windows. In addition, there were things like light switches and ceiling fan blades that were missed. These are things they make special mention of in their brochure. I actually had them come back for a second light cleaning before an open house. This time I had them clean the refrigerator as well. They cleaned the refrigerator section but didn't clean the freezer section. I didn't inquire beforehand as to whether that was included so maybe I just assumed it was part of it. All in all the cleaning was ok but I thought the price was a little high.

They did an exceptional job of cleaning and they were very kind and professional. My house looked and smelled fresh and clean. They will come once a month and I am very happy with the job they did for me.

Very good, but very expensive. Paid a lot for the deep clean so should have had an idea that the semi monthly clean would be expensive, but had not expected the price they came back with. My house is just 2400 sq ft.

Cleaned entire house. Floors, bathrooms, kitchen, blinds, baseboards, furniture. Nothing seems to have gone missing. They missed the baseboards in two smaller rooms, but overall, considering the size of the house and the length of time since it had been thoroughly cleaned, I was pleased.

Such a professionalism. I can't speak highly enough about this company. They came in and got straight to work. They had their own supplies, and even a vacuum attached to their backs. They were so professional and so prompt. I will certainly hire this company on a regular basis.

Each of the four women has an assigned task. One does the bedrooms, one does the kitchen, one does the bathrooms and one does all the vacuuming. As we are two rather elderly people, they make the beds for us. On the first visit some months age, they cleaned the oven and will do so again if we ask. We were astonished at the level of service provided. The wonderful services provided assures that we will continue to use these services for the foreseeable future.

The tile floors were wiped on hands and knees with wet rags. They were cleaner than before, but a little scummy because the wash water was not changed often enough. I instructed the lady cleaning the kitchen floor to get clean water but did not hover over them because I felt I needed to stay out of their way, there were 4 of them and they were everywhere and it was hard to stay in the house and avoid them. Later, when I was walking barefoot in the house, my feet got dirty so I know the floor could have been done better. Other than the tile floors, which were large areas, everything else was very good. I would use them again but would make it clear that they should change their buckets of water often. Barbara Y.

It works perfectly for the two of us monthly. I get to enjoy my weekends now! Before I started 3 yrs ago, I checked with the BBB & they were well rated, as opposed to some others. I have reccommended to friends & that is how I got their info.

They are fast, efficient, very nice, easy going, easy set up and change services.

They did a great job of deep cleaning my house. My teenagers had been helping with the housecleaning all summer. I needed someone to catch up the little details that they missed. I was very pleased and proud of how my house looked after the cleaning. They were more expensive than I can have regularly, but well worth it for a special deep cleaning. I would use them again.

They did a nice job except that I couldn't afford them anymore. They were just so expensive. They are very good, it's just that I can't afford them. If I had a bunch of money on hand I would hire them back because they were quite good. They were down on their hands cleaning my grout out. Their price is way high. I used to have them out every other week. They are a little good about being very consistent and the cleaning they do. There aren't enough of them but they can tackle a big house. They got each one doing a different job. To clean the floors, though I have a mop they get down on their hands and clean it. It's amazing because I have a kind of tile on the first floor.
