TX Fence did a very nice job removing old chain link fence and replaced with new cedar fence. All done in 1 day. Office personnel were very responsive and Mr. Silva kept in contact. Thanks!

We originally bought an Angie's List Big Deal for fencing, but the company's representative noted that the big deal was for 6' high pickets, and we needed 8' high pickets; also the deal called for 50', and our work amounted to more. He figured up a new total based on the correct height, at the same rate, and applied what we'd already paid. So while we ended up paying more than we originally expected to, it was my mistake, not Texas Fence's. I was satisfied they treated us fairly. We also ran into some problems because part of the old fence we needed replaced was covered with vines that originated on our neighbor's side, and we all wanted to preserve them. Texas Fence was very patient and professional and helped us work out the solution. I was especially pleased because the job ended up being a bit more complicated, and taking longer, than we'd expected. But they came through for us beautifully. I'll use them again -- if they're willing to work for us again!

The work took a little extra time due to unexpected challenges with the existing fence removal. They did an excellent job and even came back to realign the gate latch when fence settled a bit. All in all I was very pleased with the results.

It went very well. They did an excellent job. Super-fast. Very efficient and professional. Very careful of underground sprinkler system. I wish I had more fence work to give them, they were just that good. My new fence is beautiful.

The work to replace majority of my fence is to be completed later this week. However, when performing the previous work, the company was supposed to ensure that the crew put up a temporary nylon mesh construction fence overnight to keep pets contained in yard after demo of old fence and prior to installation of new (on second day of work). After completely removing the old fence, the crew left the jobsite without putting the temporary fence up. After calling the office, the crew was sent back out to put up the temporary fence. Additionally, when obtaining the estimate for replacing the remainder of my fence, the representative was considerably late (over an hour). He offered no apology, simply blamed it on the appointments being scheduled too close together. After leaving downtown early and driving for over an hour to make sure I was present to provide access to rear yard, this did not set well with me.

I won't ever use this provider again or recommend them to anyone. They contract out their work for one. When Savannah asked me if I had any questions I asked her how long installation would go, she said one to two days, the installation on my fence took 4 days. I specifically told her what I did not want was for the fence to be torn down and then not have anyone working on it for long periods of time after the posts were set (I have three dogs and live on a very busy street). She told me that would in no way happen, they would have all the materials and be done within one to two days as long as weather permitted (which it did). Friday morning I did not hear from anyone so at 9am I called. Savannah answered and told me the crew would get to my house between 9:30am and 12:30pm one of the supervisors also talked to me and said that the crew would be at my house by 11:30am at the latest and would finish the job the next morning. No one showed up until 2:00pm and no one from Texas Co. called me to let me know they would be late or to let me know the crew had arrived on site. They ended up putting fence posts in while it was dark Friday night and then dumped all the fence material in the middle of the yard along with the fence that was torn down. The contractors said they would be back Saturday morning but didn't show up until 4pm. The "supervisor" Silver, when I finally got through to him, kept telling me things like, "they're an hour away" and then no one would show up for 3 more hours. Sunday it was rainy so they had to leave a little early, which was understandable. They finished Monday morning. They fence looks nice as far as I can tell- the contractors did a good job which I would expect after working for 4 days. The thumb latch they put on my smaller gate doesn't work because it's cheap and needs to be replaced, I don't think it's because it's badly installed. Texas Fence gave the contractors all the wrong measurements and did not give them the picket directions so as a result they put in part of the fence the wrong way and had to remeasure everything while on the job, if I hadn't been there to directly communicate with them many of the things I had wanted would not have been done. I emailed, called multiple times, my husband called as well, I was told someone would call me about my complaint and no one ever did. The only contact I received was about the other half of my payment. There was a complete lack of communication, disorganization, and bad planning, It was not worth the hassle or the price to go with Texas Fence. update 4/23.14: Let me be clearer. The fence WAS NOT BUILT ACCORDING TO THE DOCUMENTS APPROVED AND SIGNED OFF ON. The fence picket goes in two different directions because they built it how the old fence was placed not how the new fence was signed off on because the contractors DID NOT HAVE PICKET DIRECTION ON THEIR DRAWING. I saw it, they showed it to me. How rude of this company to reply and suggest I'm in the wrong. update 5/4/2014: After posting this review Texas Fence called and said they would like to replace the latch. They asked if they could come mid-week and to make sure that the gate would be unlocked and the dogs secured. I said those two things would not be a problem. He said he would call and let me know when the work was completed. The latch was not replaced and I have not heard from them since. At least they are consistent.

Work crew that installed my fence was best I've seen. Worked continuously without stop or slacking off. Installation went very smoothly and quickly.

Replaced 10 yr old iron fence. The quote process was very professional and fully explained via email after initial visit. We paid half up front and the rest when completed. No high pressure sales of any kind. We had two other quotes and they were the cheapest by far. With such a big job (over 200'), they were done by 3pm the same day. Very impressed with this company.

They did a very good job, were respectful of the neighbors and their properties, and listened to my concerns. A few months after installation a gate latch malfunctioned, and Ricky came out and installed a new one at no charge. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Texas Fence Co. did an excellent job all the way through the entire project.

We checked prices and they were reasonable. They were wonderful. We will call them again. I asked the installers if I could request that they come out the next time, they were so good.

Installed an iron fence along both sides of my house, sloping downward toward the end of my lot.

The initial installation went great. They came on time and completed the work as scheduled. I was not happy with the section of black iron rod fence that was added because it did not line up with the existing black iron rod fence. Someone came out and took pictures and said they would get back with us. We got a couple of calls about the fence and then 6 weeks later they came out and fixed the section of fence and added a lock to the gate. Overall I was very pleased. I had paid half prior to the installation and no one asked for the other half until the job was finished. We were told that they would have to make a custom section of fence in order for it to be the same as the existing fence and that is what they did when they finally came back. I love the fence and I am pleased with the service. I would and have recommended them to others.

It went better than expected. They did the project while I was out of town. They called and let me know when they were there, and they called me when they were done. It was great and worked well when I arrived home. I liked that they suggested that they roll all projects into one job - which made it easier on both of us. Other contractors that I talked to didn't even want to touch my gate.

These guys were great. My calls to the office were handled in a professional manner (Savannah and Brystin set the tone from the very beginning) - I had told them I was referred to them by Angies List when I made the appointment. Tim came out a few days later (exactly when he said he would) and we looked the yard together. Tim was extremely helpful in giving me some ideas and answering all my questions (I knew I was going to be spending quite a bit, so I was naturally curious). I even asked Tim to come out a second time to slightly modify the original plans. They started the installation the next week as promised and finsihed the job within the estimated time. Honestly, the best compliment I can give them is that the job was completed as I wanted and without any incident. I received a call a few days later from someone in the office asking me how everything went (in an effort to provide continuous improvement), and this was before anyone asked for the final payment. It was one of the best experiences (if not the best) I have ever had with a contractor. I would highly recommend them.

We were just coming off a very bad fence buying experience, where a fence contractor took our deposit and did not provide us with a fence. Texas Fence couldn't not have been a better company to work with after that awful experience. Every member of their staff that we encountered was considerate, informative, and helpful. They were here, when they said they would be, and did a great job on the fence. The construction area was left neat and tidy, and their crew was a gem. We love the fence, and our neighbors do too.

I contacted Texas Fence Co. on Mon. Aug.12th , 2013 and spoke with Savannah. I explained that I was calling on behalf of my church, and we needed to get an estimate on fencing in two residential lots that were donated to us. I faxed her a copy of the property survey along with a write-up of what we wanted - estimate for fencing in Lot 1 or Lot 2 or both lots together. We also wanted them to price it using 4' cyclone fencing and 6' cyclone fencing. On Tues. Aug. 13th , 2013, their estimator, Bill Buddemeyer, called me and we set up an appointment to meet at the property at 9:00 AM on Th. Aug. 15th. On Th. Aug. 15th, Bill was at the property early, waiting for me when I got there at 9:00 AM! He had reviewed the documentation I had sent Savannah so we only spent about 15 minutes at the property. He said he'd have the estimate ready within a few days which he did. Savannah emailed the estimate and drawings to me on Mon. morning, Aug. 19th. I was very impressed with everything about Texas Fence Co. They were the only bid we got and since we still haven't decided if we're going to go forward with the project yet, we'd want to get a couple more bids if we do go forward with it. However, based on my experience with the estimate, I would be happy to use Texas Fence Co. if their price quote is comparable to others.77088

They were just as good as all the reports on Angie's List said. We got bids from roughly 4 companies. Out of them all, they had the best total package and product from what we needed. They were very professional, thorough and very flexible with any changes to the project. I can’t say enough about the experience!

They wanted to charge $1000 just for the gate, which was too high. Also, they never followed back up with me.

After 25 years and two hurricanes, the builder-provided fence along one side of our yard reached the end of its life. We got bids from three highly-rated fence providers on Angie's list, all the bids were very similar, and selected Texas Fence based on overall impressions. They tore down and replaced the fence all in one day, the workers were professional and courteous, and the new fence is everything we had hoped. The only issues we had were with some unexpected difficulties in getting a building permit for the fence which delayed start of construction considerably and some unexpected extra expenses. We felt that Texas Fence, having built a lot of fences, including fences in our city (WestU), should have warned us of these issues before we committed to building the fence with them and could have been more helpful in smoothing the process. However, when we shared these concerns with them, their response was excellent, leaving feeling very good about working with them. The specific issues (which may be of interest if you are replacing a fence) are: 1) In WestU, you must have a lot survey before you can get a building permit for a fence. We did not have one (you might not either) and they cost $600 and take 3 weeks to complete. This can delay building of a fence (it did ours, by a month.) Importantly, if your neighbor has a lot survey (ours did), that can be used saving the cost and the delay. Texas fence did not suggest this to me, the City of WestU did not tell this to me, we only heard about this from neighbors. 2) We negotiated the whole process with our neighbors before even getting bids. However, WestU required a bunch of paperwork to document that before they would issue a permit. Texas Fence did not tell us about that until after we had already resolved the lot survey. Had our neighbors not been available, this could have delayed construction of the fence. 3) After we had agreed to a price, Texas Fence told us that it was our responsibility to locate water pipes, power lines, and cable TV; if we did not do so and they cut them, that was our problem. They provided the names of four locator companies, but these companies were not easy to deal with and hiring them added $150 to the cost. (Other builders offered to take responsibility for any buried services for a cost of $20.) 4) Their bid also did not include the cost of a building permit. My position is that, as the professionals with experience dealing with all these issues on may fences in WestU, they should have fully disclosed all this when they prepared the estimate and could have been more helpful getting me through the process. Texas Fence redeemed themselves by calling after the fence was complete and asking about my satisfaction. I shared my concerns with them, they were respectful and sympathetic, seemed to see my point of view, and promised that they would work to do better with future fences. At that point I was satisfied. However, I then got a second call from the company, reiterating their concern and understanding of my issues and offering to share some of the unexpected expenses. I believe that you learn more about a company by how they behave when there are issues than when are no issues. On this basis, I have the highest opinion of Texas Fence and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Texas Fence was very responsive when I began working with them, requesting different quotes for several different variables. I was very impressed with the speed of the workers, timeliness and adherence to schedule, craftsmanship, and professionalism of the employees. I had a special request that old poles be completely removed, which cost a little extra, and another special request to use metal posts instead of the customary 4 x 4 fence posts. This was done with brackets using hexagonal bolts, and the company put caps on top of each pole to prevent rain water from getting inside the poles. That was a bonus I didn't ask for. The fence was completed for a very reasonable price. I would use this company again, and one of my friends who needs a fence has decided to go with Texas Fence based upon what he has seen.

Very professional from the start. Got a rough quote using my measurements, then their rep came out and measured, finalized everything. They actually got me in about two weeks sooner than anticipated, because they had a cancellation. When the crew arrived - well, I have no idea what time they arrived. I had worked late the night before, and by the time I woke up they'd torn down the old fence and had more than half the new fence up. Obviously very quiet!! They were done, cleaned up and gone before 11 am. They actually never had a mess...cleaned up as they went. I was very impressed. They also made a follow-up call to make sure I was satisfied with their service.

The quote process went well. We changed our mind several times and they worked with us and provided new quotes as needed. There was a problem with the actual scheduling and communication but that was quickly resolved and the work began. The job was done very quickly but the crew left several of the old posts sticking out of the ground. I called to have them removed and it was resolved immediately. We also had a problem with one of the gates not closing properly and it was also fixed very quickly. Overall the company was very pleasant to work with and provided a great product. It has been a year since we had it installed and there are no issues with it still.

Called indicating I needed some repair on an eight foot wooden fence, was told they don't repair wooden fences, they only replace them. Not being a fence guy, I asked if it seemed reasonable if I had one rotten post that was causing my fence to lean that I had to replace the entire fence. I was put on hold and was told that they can repair the post but it would cost $1,250.00 to do so (my entire fence is less than 150 linear feet and the section in question is 40 linear feet).

The first scheduled date was delayed due to the bad weather. The crew showed up the rescheduled date and worked late that night just to take down the old fencing and get some posts set. They returned the next day to continue and completed the all the work and cleanup on the following morning. Did a great job. Three rail cedar fence with rot board. Nice and level. Looks great. Best bid of 3 companies. Will use again.
